Nokia battery

hi
i recently bought a nokia n85. however, after few months, when i try to charge the battery using wall charger, it displsys       " unplug charger from the power supply to save energy". the ironic thing is that it works perfectly when i charge it via USB.
can any one help me on this please? i really need some advise to trouble shoot his issue.

If you've tried several chargers then you can pretty much rule them out as the souce of the problem. It could therefore be either the battery or the phone itself and the only way you're going to find that out is by buying a new battery. What if that doesn't solve the problem?
Your best bet is to take or send the phone to your nearest Nokia Care Point so they can find out what's wrong.

  • Nokia Battery Monitor for N97...where is it?

    Hi all,
Can somebody point me to Nokia Battery Monitor for the N97? I've just reinstalled the firmware and am reloading all the apps but I can't find NBM anywhere in the store.
    Cheers!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Not avaiable in Store but v1.3 can be found easily from other sources.
It doesn't offer the detailed breakdown of app usage that the S^3 version does but this one still does the job.
Thanks farby for confirming the latest version for me

  • N97 mini, CK-200, Nokia Battery Monitor 1.3 - issu...

Hej! When Nokia Battery Monitor is installed on my N97 mini, I cannot make or recive calls on my Nokia CK-200 via Bluetooth, because the other party does not hear my voice. When uninstalling the application, the problem is gone. I have the latest firmware on everything. Please advise. LVPVS

As there is nothing that the User can do to set anything in the NBM application.. this may be a Bug that needs to be reported. I am afraid the application is no more Beta.. so reporting at Nokia Beta Labs may / may not serve the purpose.. but you may contact Nokia by using the 'Contact Us' tab at the top of this page and find out the proper channel to report the issue...

any advice?? or all every one has the same problem???
It works fine for me (on a N8). Earlier versions did this but 1.2 seems to have fixed it.
    A couple of questions.
1 - Do you actually have version 1.2? May seem a silly question but for a time Ovi store was showing 1.2 but linking to 1.1. Check on the info tab in battery monitor.
2 - When uninstalling are you rebooting (hold power button for 8-10 seconds until you feel 3 vibrations) after uninstalling the 2 programs (Barttery monitor and Battery monitor service)? I don't know why this is necessary but maybe it clears some seting that stops the new install working properly.

  • E6-00 Nokia Battery Monitor 3.0

Since upgrading my phone to 'Belle', I've noticed there is no longer a Power Saving feature on it. While it's now easier to switch 3G and WLAN on or off and save the battery that way, there's no way to decrease screen brightness or switch off the torch feauture. Also the screen unlock button works half the time and the camera in silent mode now manages to wake my baby with a loud shutter click, but that's just niggles. What really bothers me is how Nokia Battery Monitor 3.0 is available for all the Symbian Belle models, but not the E6-00?! There's more programs out there that work fine on my C7, but can't be downloaded onto the E6-00 via the phone or OVI. I am a luddite, but I've got to wonder whether it's just because the screen resolution is untested? What other difference is there? Yet if Store and Angry Birds can be displayed on both my C7 and the E6, so can a well written app, especially an essential one like NBM. I don't even care if the app would become almost impossibly tiny or heavy on the scrolling.. So long as I can use it, or even choose it! Why on earth aren't E6 users allowed to download apps such as these? I'll do my own SAT and UAT happily, I'm already signed up to Beta Labs but a bit miffed since Reader and other apps became unavailable for the E6-00 there as well. I cannot believe you offer a phone with all the functionality of the Symbian 3 range, but happily saw one of its legs off. Don't even get me started on BBC iPlayer download support - the BBC's fault perhaps but another reason to get quite fed up.
Rant over. Fair enough if you skipped that. To boil it down: Why is Nokia Battery Manager 3.0 made essential for the E6-00 yet unavailable, and why aren't Store and PC Suite users allowed to download unsupported applications if they're clearly alright for the OS, with every chance they'll either work or not cause damage?

I have the power saving option on my E6 - when the battery's nearly flat I get asked, and I can select it via the ON/OFF switch.
As far as E6-compatibilty of various apps goes, isn't just a case of whether the author can be bothered to accommodate the 640x480 res.?
A man on a Nokia-oriented site said the iPlayer worked fine on his E6 and he has Belle. Users outside the UK get the usual "Your phone is not supported" in gorgeous purple.
The London Underground app worked fine under Anna on My E6, but not under Belle. Glad I've still got my E72 for that, and as a document scanner and close-up camera (IMHO the E6 is vastly superior for 1.5 m to infinity shots abd of course for video. But that's another story...
I'm fairly happy with Belle on my E6, but that may be because I only had Anna for a week or two, one of which I spent in the UK and went through hell trying to roam on a date connection. So I was relieved. I should have been aware before I bought the phone of the screen res being a problem as well as having many advantages. That said, the lack of some apps is annoying to say the least, and Battery Monitor v. 3.0 would be kind of useful.

  • Nokia Battery Monitor

Very nice app, I like it very much and installed on both my 5800 and X6.
I have just two things to signal.
    1) On both the phones (and I think on all Symbian 5th) when I select a tab or the option menu, there is a purple square around it, instead of just the tab or the option box selected.
    2) Is it possible to make the question "Do you allow the phone to access to user data" answered just once and not always?
One last thing: to make the stats, is it necessary to have the app running in background? Because when I closed it (I have no widget home, so can't run as widget) and re-opened, the stats where gone and restarted as if I opened it for the first time.
Overall is a very nice and useful app. Thanks!

After more than one week of use, this is what I found.
If someone can pass this to the developer team would be great (I've sent them an e-mail, but no one replied). Maybe if many of us send this to the feedback mail reported on the app they would do something about it. This is a very nice app, but needs some work to become a good one.
    1) As I said, there are purple squares every time a tab is tapped, both the top ones (Stats, etc) and the Option/Exit. Please remove them.
    2) The stats are all messed up. I don't complain about the battery expectation, which can be far from real because of different phone uses, but the stats about what have been done are a mathematical fact: how much time I spend on messaging, how much on calling etc is not a forecast, but actually they are unreliable, and the overall stat isn't the average of the week stats, just a random thing, changing at every reboot.
    3) One person I know, who has Symbian^3, said his phone asks for Internet connection if he use it as a widget, though it doesn't need any connection, and also that the widget doesn't refresh if he doesn't launch the app itself.
    4) With the X6, the app causes some trouble during boot, making the date incorrect problem even worse and sometimes making the Nokia Tune and Nokia hands on the boot not coming at all. I uninstalled it to check and actually there are no problems without this app.
    5) When switching between landscape and portrait, the app says "Analyzing" again, just to show the info that there were in the previous mode.
    6) The initial question about accessing the user's data becomes very annoying. Please do something to avoid it after the first time, like a tickbox or a "Yes, always" answer.
It seems as if they put this app on Ovi Store without a proper testing (a period on Beta Labs would have made miracles), or with the idea that they can develop a proper release only after the launch.
Well, I hope so, because with some tuning it can become a very good and useful app, and I ask again: how can we know if a new release hits the Store?

  • Does nokia battery monitor 3.1 uses battery power ...

does it uses battery power if you put it in your home screen or it just observes how many power is left for your phone to last?

I dont think it consumes considerable amount of battery power.
It is somewhere, a little annoying to see when it shows for example, 14 hours remaining and all of a sudden after playing an hd game it shows 2 hours remaining! People think that it is because of battery monitor itself!
So no problem using it. It just observes how much battery is left and according to the usage and it calculates the time remaining.
It would be good if it show at what time the battery is going to last, that helps us to determine how we should use the phone to save the battery for the next busy day!

  • Nokia 112 new battery (BL-6C)

    Hi,
I was wondering where I can buy a new battery for my nokia 112.
Is it possible to put another nokia battery in the phone? If so, which one? Because I can't find a store where they still sell this battery.
I can't find how to start a new topic, that's why I reply on this post.
    Thanks already!

    Hi Pepijn,
    Welcome to the forum!
You can only use the compatible battery model (BL-6C) with your Nokia 112. If you need a new battery for your phone, you can try visiting the same store where you bought it and see if they sell this battery model. You can also visit other Nokia authorized retailers to check its availability. See this link for the Nokia global support page: Way finder - Nokia.
By the way, are you having issues with the phone's current battery? If yes, tell us more about it so we can try troubleshooting it before buying a new one.
Also, it's good that you just replied to an existing topic instead of creating a new one. It implies that you searched first before posting which is one of the golden rules in the forum. If you need to start a new topic which hasn't been discussed in the forum yet, just hit the New message option at the top left corner of the boards and provide all relevant details about the issue.
Let us know if this information helped you.

As far as I know, the BL-5B is the only battery for the N80. You will be able to get it from most reputable online shops. Here is one I found.

  • Extended battery for Nokia Lumia 822

Hello everyone, I have a question concerning the extended battery for the NL 822.  Are there any other batteries besides the one sold by Mugen? (3800 mah).  This one seems too big.
    Thanks

Not sure what "This one" means, but I think you are talking about HLI-822XL.
You might want to consider getting a spare Nokia battery (BP-4W).
I think Mugen might humpback the battery door, so it doesn't matter how thick their battery is if they give you a new door that bows around it. However, if wireless (Qi) charging is important to you, you might want to investigate it their new battery door supports that.
