Nokia Belle Weather App Uninstall?

Hi there,
I have Nokia 700 with Belle FP2 installed and according to the Battery Monitor, the Weather Application that comes by default with this version of Belle is eating a lot of my battery in the background. I do NOT use the weather widget and I have wi-fi and mobile data connection turned off most of the time. I also erased all cities from the Weather App, yet still it seems to work in the background and it is responsible for about 50 % of my phone energy consumption. It is impossible to turn it of (I guess it starts any time I turn my phone on), and it is impossible to uninstall it. I do not use it, I do not want it - is there any way how to get rid of it?

I have upgraded to Belle recently getting the most current version of Nokia maps. However, the neat weather app included there does not always update the weather at my current location. I need to start the weather app multiple times until it recognizes that my location has actually changed.

I bought and installed the Gravity app for twitter and have been using it for several months. Previously i have found when connecting to a pc the app moves folders but this time it has dissapeared completely form my phone. Its not in the installation folder. No prompt, no warning - WHATS GOING ON?!
Do i have to buy it again?

Hi all,
great news! We just started to roll out our next update for Symbian called Nokia Belle Refresh for Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro with version number 111.040.1511 (Nokia E6, version number 111.140.0058, will follow still this week, Nokia 500 updates will follow shortly).
This update again brings new features to Symbian smartphones, for example:
- a new browser with HTML5 web apps support, a new set of homescreen widgets, and the previously released Microsoft Office Mobile App and Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 in one package.
- Nokia N8 will have some extra apps for imaging
The update will be rolled out in phases, starting with the vanilla versions (ie. basic software variants without any specific operator or country configuration). Country and operator variants will follow within the next weeks, depending on local and operator approvals.
pS: Just like after updating from Nokia Anna to Nokia Belle, some apps may not work due to compatibility issues. If you need more information on available apps, please contact your local Nokia Care support. Furthermore, you can also contact the respective App developer to enquire about the compatibility.

Someone please tell me what's happening.
I have launched Nokia Suite and a screen about the new Nokia Belle update was available, so I connected my C6-01 via USB cable and started the update process.
After some minutes the device restarted and Nokia Suite informed me about the successful update to v111.40.1511 .
Then I checked in "Device Management" in my C6-01 and discovered with extreme horror that the version in my phone is still the v111.030.0609 .
Now I have to reinstall 46 applications, deleted by the update process. I'm very disappointed for this and wondering why Nokia Suite did informed me about a wrong update.

Nokia Belle FP1 - Microsoft Apps 2.0

Is available a application Microsoft Apps 2.0 for Nokia FP1 belle? I have Nokia 700 with Nokia Belle FP1 and this application is not available via Software Update or via Nokia Suite.

I by mistake chose to insall the weather app for Firefox on Apple iMac. I cannot uninstal from add ons since firefox crashes before then. Unable to use Firefox in safe mode. Help!

Basically I recently installed Firefox 3.6 on my Mac Laptop, only 3-4 months old, so latest Sea Leopard OSX System whatever
Anyway once installed I decide to have a theme, then add some add on applications. This seems to be the problem
When I first tried to run it all the apps opened home pages and I kept trying to close them as they did
Next time I got less pages but then I could not access the Tools>AddOns menu before the Firefox browser crashed
What seems to be happening is that the Weather app takes forever to load, my Apple Mac goes into the circle (thinking) mode which means I cannot activate any menus or move my mouse. Then by the time I try and type in say google in the blank www URL address the browser crashed. I have tried going into safe mode using the Option but makes no difference
If I can somehow instal the irksome weather app or get access to the Tool >Add ons menu and uninstall each of the several apps I have daftly installed I know I can get a solution
Any help or suggestions appreciated since I still think Firefox is cool:-). its the apps or some of them that suck!

Maybe you did't understand my previous statement. There are no crashes in FF 3.6, There is no previous evidence FF 14 was ever here, I completely uninstalled all trace of Firefox, no app data, no preferences, no cache. I will upgrade to FF14 so I can send IDs,

N8 frozen at start-up on 2nd day after Nokia Belle...

I bought my phone in Aug 2011. Have been enjoying it for over 6 months now. Updated to Symbian Anna in Oct 2011 (I think) and been using it without any issues. Yesterday afternoon I updated to Nokia Belle, installation was successfull, no issues at all, spent the rest of the day customizing the phone n stuff.. Today evening, while listening to the songs, the phone suddenly restarted, but it wouldn't start up now.. That Nokia hand-shaking animation comes and after that phone is just frozen with the screen showing only the wallpaper, nothing else, no menus, no icons, nothing! In the Notification area on the top, I see "Offline" (coz I removed the sim card), network icon with a "x" next to it and an empty bettery icon. I don't see why the battery would be empty coz before I started listening to the songs, it was 50% and so I was charging it while listening to the songs. Now since about 2 hours I've been trying to switch off the phone and start it, but no use.. It restarts n is stuck on that wallpaper. The backlight of the menu button is on for a few seconds after restart, but then it goes off and even if I tap on the screen or toggle the lock key, nothing happens. I successfully used Advanced Device Locks Pro, and later Security lock on my previous phones (N86/N82). Recently I bought from Nokia Store the newest version of SL. It worked on Symbian Anna without problems. After Belle update I got after few reboots serious problem... Phone Menu could not be accessed in any way. Failure resulted 4 times, so I'm now convinced that it is caused just by the SL application.
Now I have returned all the applications that I previously used, (except SL) and the phone works, and it can be run repeatedly. I found out that Security Lock is obviously incompatible with the current v. of Symbian Belle. Diagnosis and identification of the problem required 4 times triple code format included FW reinstallation.
The problem itself: after installing Security lock on the N8-00 Symbian Belle a phone restart was done correctly. After another reboot, or simply switch off the phone with active Security lock protection, only a blank window appeared with a basic wallpaper without any context menu options or the possibility of inserting security code.
The phone did not respond to any touch, soft keys were not initialized at all, only turning off using 10 sec. long press was possible. There was absolutely nothing to help. I tried to uninstall the application through PC Suite, but it was protected against the uninstall by a computer. Removing other programs in that way works. So the advantage of the security application turned against the user, and I managed to solve the problem only using triple code. I tried to describe the problem as precisely as possible, I hope you manage to solve these difficulties. In addition, I installed the current Belle v. 111.030.0609 on absolutely clean formatted phone without any data from the previous applications in *sys and * private folders.

I have updated my N8-00 from Nokia Belle to Nokia Belle Refresh via Nokia Suite and the file was 306MB in size and after the update I did not get Microsoft Apps but received Nokia Maps though I had Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 installed before the Nokia Belle Refresh update and also I did not get the Colorize IT application also and I heard that Social was also updated to version1.5.234 but mine is still at 1.5.216.
Overall, my Nokia N8-00 has become more stable and performance in speed has increased with this update. I am from Kenya and received Nokia Belle Refresh shortly after Skyee announced that it is being rolled out on 27th August 2012.
Can anyone from Nokia or who has installed Nokia Belle Refresh confirm if Social was updated to version 1.5.234 or is it still at version 1.5.216 and also if Microsoft Apps were included in the Nokia Belle Refresh update after installation via Nokia Suite. Here is the Official Changelog from Nokia.

Fire up software update app on your phone. You should get the update prompt, if it is available for your product code. Else check it via Nokia suite. If both these options give no result- visit nearest Nokia care.

My N8 became new again!!!
I have a question, though,
¿Will at some point be available to us (ex-Symbian^3 users) those beautiful widgets that we can see all over the web from the Belle leaked versions?
I mean the weather widget, the reduced music player widget, the 2G/3G toggle widget, Mobile Data Track widget, the offline widget, BlueTooth Toggle widget, etc.

I hope you solve your bugs issue but I must tell you I have no bugs at all in my recently updated N8; in fact, I'm very happy with the overall upgrade, just notice some things are still missing but think it's a matter of time for those to be solved. I've noticed, though, some "little issues" but all of them were gone with the use, and now my phone is just like brand new again, and I thank very much Nokia for that.

Nokia Internet Radio app - on N8?

Has anyone been able to succesfully use the Nokia internet radio app on the N8?
I tried downloading it - but when i try to lauch - it does nothing - the screen flashes for a second as if its loading - but does nothing ....

Nokia Multiscanner (Nokia's OCR app)

Hi there.
This is more a software request than a review.
Sometime ago there was a great application for Nokia devices; it was called "Nokia Multiscanner" and it was Nokia's OCR app. Actually now Nokia has released great Nokia camera devices starting with the awesome Nokia N8 with its 12mp. camera with Carl Zeiss lens and it's enormous potential is not fully used yet. Should be fantastic we can count with this app. in our Symbian^3, Anna or Belle devices.
I hope there will be more people interested in this application.
