Hello.i've 2 questions to you...1st is the whenever Nokia Belle will be updates and will get new programs or not???2nd question is i want to hide my my private videos and asked it to answer came there is written that i must do . To hide videos you might have to install a third party application (one that does not come preinstalled); I shall try to find an app; meanwhile you may check store for one...What is the 3rd party applications???And can you explain what can i do to hide my private videos??? Browse Nokia store for file hides applications. Use one that serves your purpose better. And as for your question about the future updates for for belle(if that is what you meant) yes, there will be minor feature updates from time to time though we Cant be specific about the type and schedule of updates.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums.
I can categorically confirm that this is not the case and Nokia Belle is not going to get a Meego update as these are two completely different operating systems. The Nokia care advisor who told you was mistaken.
If you can forward the details of the call you made to Nokia care yesterday to [email protected] please and supply as much detail as you can i.e the time you called, number and advisor name if you can remember.

Nokia 5800 will not update to 60.0.003

My nokia 5800 xpress music is running on 52.0.007 but I want to update to 60.0.003.
When I type in *#0000# on my phone , I will enter device updates. I entered options and check for a new update, it said it does not have a update. But on the device update main page, it said that the latest update is not updated.Can some mysterious guy help me???

If you would like to post the seven digit product code on label under battery starting with "0" can at least tell you whether or not v60.0.003 released for your device.

Hi i 've updated my NOKIA 701
to the latest update FP1
Evey thing is OK
but , now i have the following problems...

> i hav only 3 options in the bar which is at bottom [only call , menu , option]

I doubt that there's additional keys. Can you post those images? I have a feeling those images are of an App called Extra Buttons, available at the Nokia Store.

Nokia Belle Updates - Gmail configuration

Dear All.
If you are user of Nokia C7-00 or related series who would like to update Nokia Belle then I would suggest you to think twice. Because we find more comfort with our old version and habitual of same. Though Nokia belle (new software update) is good expercience but I found a quite surprise when I configured my Gmail account. in Nokia belle. You will find that you can see your inbox email but can not see your sent email which is available on your PC. You can see only those sent email which you had sent it by your mobile only. Its pretty much surprise for me. I called Nokia care and every one suggested me to change setting, delete account, master reset etc which i have done. Finally one employee of customer care replied me very clearly that Sent items can not be seen in Nokia belle. its downgraded. True answer but I am feeling that I am lacking so much. You oftenly require your sent email also to forward the same. But you have done the same from your PC which is not available on your phone.
Now wait for another update................. I hope nokia will keep a option for this next time.

Nokia Belle N8 C Memory disappearing

This is a bit of a long post, so please read it all in the hope you can offer some real support!
I know this issue has been raised across a number of posts, but none I've seen has managed to give me any help in trying to sort out my issue with the C drive of my phone quickly disappearing. I've currently got about 20MB free on the disk, but when I tried updating Nokia Maps through Nokia Store, the update used up all free memory on C and failed in update.
I have y-broswer and x-plore installed on my phone, so I should in theory be able to get to all of the cache, downloads and general rubbish that apps keep filling up my C drive with.
However, when I go through all the folders I can see and tot up the amount of memory in use, I seem to be a way off the 256MB that should be available...
C:/resource is by far my biggest fodler, with about 20MB of files in there. I've been through all locations but cannot find where all the data is! My directory c:/private appears as completely empty when I try looking at it, which seems to be where most people are directed to clean their memory.
One thing I have been doing is auto-backup of my phone to the external memory card which runs overnight - I've read elsewhere that people have reported this to have been incrementally eating away at C drive, but I can't find any temp files that would explain this.
It is also often said that Social image cache (and other apps caches) use up plenty of C drive an so these should be cleared out. Can anyone point to specific directory locations where this can be found? Again, after much searching there seems to be very little that I can find to delete.
It's getting to the point where I'll have to do a soft or hard reset and start again and just hope for the best...but if anyone can post how to clean up C drive it'd be very much appreciated. Most people just seem to say 'clean social cache' and the likes, but this isn't very helpful if we don't know where to look!

Nokia must do something about the low phone memory on the Nokia N8-00. Why did they remove the option of storing messages on the mass memory and why are emails stored on the phone memory instead of mass memory? Temporary files stored on C: Private should be deleted by the phone itself instead of using means that will be harmful to your phone and void your warranty i.e Hacking. Nokia do something about this shrinking phone memory on the Nokia N8-00 yet all the applications are installed on mass memory other than the applications that are part of the Nokia Belle OS. I hope that this will be rectified by the next software update that Nokia will provide for the Nokia N8-00. Concerning Maps Suite 2.0 I wished that Nokia could completely remove the previous version of maps to free phone memory and install the latest version that will be replaced the free memory lost during installation phase instead of eating 20 MB more from the phone memory or they make a fix to Maps Suite 2.0 that will install completely on mass memory. Concerning Microsft Apps I wished that Nokia could fully make it install on mass memory rather than installing parts of it on phone memory and mass memory that stills ends up eating 20-15 MB more from the phone memory.
Many Nokia N8-00 users who are running Nokia Belle have not updated or are rather afraid to update to Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 and Microsoft Apps because of the fear that their phone memory will decrease rapidly causing the device to become unresponsive or slow affecting the overall performance of the device. I wish that Nokia will overclock the CPU speed of the Nokia N8-00 to make the device a bit faster than it is.

Symbian Anna is better than Nokia Belle
Nokia Belle is worst because of the following issues
1.There was a beautiful notification was there in Anna in which we can see New SMS and Email (very important) but in Belle there is no notification for new email
2.In symbian Anna we can easily check the status of battery power and change into power save mode the same way the power save mode gets disabled one mobile charged fully, in the case of Belle it's not possible even to see the battery charge level
3.In symbian Anna there was a application in Nokia store which is "Tap Menu" by which we can easily navigate to home even to menu & menu to home screen it was very useful to multi taking
the same application why not available for Belle
why should not Nokia develop such a application for it's users
above all Nokia latest smart phone users are not happy with Nokia Belle
will Nokia give the above feature by giving a software update or else it'll abandon all users
i'm waiting for reply w which is from Nokia team
really Nokia Belle be very user friendly if the above feature are introduced

N.prakash belle has a far smoother and interactive UI than anna....and if you are so bothered by the above little problems then download the application 'belle extra buttons' from ovi store costing only rs.5.....it will solve your problems...

Sir, i have heard that belle will be avaliable by feb 2012, is it true?

As of now, the official news is that Nokia belle will be available for all first generation symbian 3 phones from February 2012 onwards including the Nokia 500. Hope that clears your doubt.

It's known that Nokia Belle FP1 is available only for Nokia 603, Nokia 700 and Nokia 701 (and newer phones as well). Those devices that won't get the FP1 update are named '1st gen. S^3 devices' for all I know. That's what makes me say that Nokia 500 is a first generation S^3 device - because no massive updates will be available for it anymore.

will nokia release any new update for c5 to improve browser and time changing bug. Are we going to get anything above 71.005 . It is said that nokia is changing its phones from symbian to 'nokia belle' tag line. Can c5 expect the same or has the company removed c5 from any further improvement list.

It certainly won't be getting belle, that is a touch only operating system. The C5-00 runs the old pre-touch operating system, S60v3FP2.
No one here can tell you if Nokia has any plans to release any further updates for the C5-00. It's a case of waiting and hoping.

I doubt that the earlier promise of continued support till 2016 wont be followed now after acquisition of Nokia by Microsoft.

Will UK 700 059L5V1 get Nokia Belle update?

Yes I know it has Belle already but it is SYMBIAN Belle version 111.020.0308. This is incompatible with the Microsoft Apps for Symbian. It is a generic, unlocked unbranded phone so you can't use the 'waiting for operator approval' explanation.

Even though your phones may not be branded by a carrier, they may be country variants, in which case the Nokia Belle update may be delayed to you, or not be released at all. Country variants are where Nokia has released the generic firmware to your country's Nokia, and it is up to your country's Nokia to approve this and add their own country requirements / custom apps etc, and release the update to you. If you still do not see an update available for your handset, I suggest contacting your Nokia Care and inquiring.
