Nokia BH214 headset - bluetooth audio stutters

Hi
I have a problem streaming bluetooth audio from a Creative Zen M300 player to my BH214 headset - the device connects fine, and controls the player OK (volume/change tracks etc).
However the audio is not listenable - it stutters at several pulses per second.
There is no problem playing audio from the M300 with other devices (works OK with Jawbone Jambox speakers / Creative D100 speakers etc)
And there is no problem reciving audio to the BH214 from other Bluetooth devices (laptop / Xda Orbit2 phone)
So it seems that the incompatibility is somehow between the M300 & the BH214 - Any ideas???
The M300 supports the following : Bluetooth 2.1 Wireless Technology (supports A2DP & AVRCP)

Hi lapinblanc,
For a pity there is no setting for separating an outgoing sound channels in case of connected headset . It bothers me sometimes too when all this beeping comes to my ear, well but the phone is worth of it!
Jah bless!

  • Cheap nokia phone with bluetooth audio

Hi, I'm looking for a cheap Nokia phone that'll work with my car kit for calls. I like the 225 but that doesn't do it apparently. So something similar if possible.
    Ta

    A) Nokia 215, first model of Series 30+ which got Bluetooth HFP added.
    B) Nokia 208, last model of Series 40, even offers stereo-music (Bluetooth A2DP).
If the Nokia 208 is not avialable in your market, please, have a look for the Nokia 301 (Series 40). If you go for the Single-SIM variants of a Nokia Series 40 based phone, you even get Bluetooth SIM-Access which is required by car-kits with external antenna. Another option would be a used Nokia E52 (Symbian/S60) which allows even Internet access for the next couple of years (because it supports SHA-384 hased SSL certificates).

  • Blutooth audio stuttering on Z1 Compact

as in the post from the Z1 list:
Re: Bluetooth audio stuttering after 4.3 update [Xperia Z]
This is still occurring on the Z1 Compact on 4.3
    Model: D5503
    Build: 14.2.A.1.114
Using LG tone blutooth in ear...
Is there a fix yet please anyone?

Sadly the problem persists in the 4.4.2 upgrade. Just upgraded hoping they would have sorted it out but still horrible stuttering on build number 14.3.A.0.681. I experience unplayable conditions when connected to the SONY BM-10 bluetooth receiver with apt-x.
Edit: Radio firmware says 8974-AAAAANAZQ-10270045-39. Are there any others available so we can try flashing an old radio firmware as suggested fixing the problem for the Z1 (not compact).
Edit2: Repairing install with sony pc companion seem to have remedied some of the stuttering.

  • HELP! Bluetooth audio not working on N82 and N95

Hi, I wanted to share I problem I constantly have with A2DP on my Nokias.
I had a N95 and I bought the Motorola S9 for them. They worked well on the first pairing but when turning them off and on later, the connection would fail, so I had to delete the connection and pair them up again.
But when I updated the firmware the things stopped working at all. They woud pair up but the connection would instantly be dropped.
Later I bought a N82 with the latest firmware and had the same problem. So i guessed that definitely Nokia phones and Motorola headsets were not meant to work together.
But recently I bought a car radio from Pioneer with AD2P and have been experiencing the exact same problem, both with the N82 and the N95.
As of today, I haven’t found a single non-Nokia AD2P device that works with Nokia phones. Has anyone experienced these problems? I have searched a lot online for a solution and nothing…
The exact problem is: I make the phone look for my bluetooth device, it finds it, I input the code, and then it says "Connected to XXX" (whatever accesory im trying to pair) and INSTANTLY I'll get another message "Disconnected from XXX"... and that's it.
BTW... the bluetooth connection works perfectly with all my PCs and other phones, and never drops. It's happening only with audio devices.
Ps: I also have a HTC Windows Mobile Phone and it works brilliantly with both the Pioneer car stereo and the Motorola S9! So that rules out problems with my audio devices. I think it's definitely a problem in Nokia's latest firmwares for N95 and N82.
    HELP!!!
    Thanks!

    Hi friedbrains...
Thanks for your help... I deleted all pairings on the phone and the S9, and then used the *#9990# trick you told me...
I managed to pair the phone and the headset... I listened to music for a while, and everything went ok... But when I turned off the S9 and then on again, the problem came back...
I got a "Connected to Motorola S9" message, instantly followed by "Disconnected from Motorola S9". I tried to connect manually to the headset and got the "Unable to connect to bluetooth device" error.
So, the excitement was prety short-lived
As a side note, I was browing some Pioneer support forums (makers of the car stereo that also refuses to work with my N82) and they explicitly recommend not upgrading the firmware in N95 or N82 to be able to use them with the stereo.
So, I'm guessing there's no more confirmation needed that Nokia actually BROKE bluetooth compatibility with 3rd party accesories with the latest N-series firmware. I find this very strange!!! Do they only want us to use Nokia stuff with our Nokia phones? (My friends Nokia bluetooth headset works beautifully with my phone)
I hope someone from Nokia reads these things... We want bluetooth compatibility back!!!!
Thanks again to everyone... if you have any other stuff I can try, I'll appreciate it

  • Pulseaudio / Bluetooth audio skipping

    Greetings.
I recently bought a pair of bluetooth headphones, August EP650. They work perfectly on Windows 7, no skipping, great quality. However, in Arch they play ok for a few seconds and then start to skip badly and lag behind (for example, if I pause whatever I'm hearing, I only hear it pausing a few moments later).
I googled hard all day yesterday to try and find a solution but no luck so far.

Try downgrading to bluez4/pulseaudio4 in aur .  Bluez4/Pulseaudio4 works perfect for me with Nokia BH 503 but in *Debian Jessie/ubuntu 13.10/14.04, I have no tried on Arch because I don't like downgrade things and i was using Gnome3.12 where bluez5 and pulseaudio5 is a dependency
Already tried that, didn't help though unfortunately... thank you for your suggestion anyway!

Yeah, I suspect that's it. My bluetooth adapter is embedded on the wifi adapter, so they're both from Broadcom (BCM4313) and god knows the problems I had with wifi already. Broadcom doesn't seem to have good support for linux.

  • Yoga 13 - Bluetooth audio

    Hi all,
Just bought my Yoga yesterday and am thoroughly enjoying it. A problem I encountered was when trying to pair the Bluetooth to a Belkin A2DP receiver (essentially, it appears as a Bluetooth audio headset to the computer). Audio quality sent to the speaker is very poor. I verified that the Belkin unit was functioning properly by pairing two other Bluetooth devices and having no issues with audio playback. I also updated to the latest RealTek Bluetooth driver on Lenovo's website. Still with bad audio quality. Any suggestions appreciated :-)
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi HummerMan3,
Thanks for posting. Sorry hear about the issues you're facing.
I too have a yoga I do agree it is a superb machine. In regards to the bluetooth Audio, Personally I have not tested the bluetooth or the Bluetooth Audio. I was just wondering when you mentioned the audio being really poor, do mean that the sound distorts or does the sound does not play loudly? How about when playing normally on the laptop? Do still get the same results.
Sorry for the list of question, but just wanted to be sure what exactly I'm dealing with.
    Do let me know.

  • How to get Bluetooth Audio gateway in Windows 7 on Mac Mini?

I just bought the 2012 2.3 GHz Mac Mini
    I have installed windows 7..
I also installed Broadcom 6.0.2 driver that supports Bluetooth audio gateway , but it keeps saying Bluetooth device not found, where as the Mac mini has an inbuilt 4.0 bluetooth ready!
How do I get the bluetooth audio gateway to work??
I use bluetooth headsets of Motorola to answer Skype calls..
    Please help me..
    Thanks

The GUI version of Disk Utility is very limited in what sort of RAID configurations you can create. It will only allow you to have a single partition on the disk and to make a RAID using that.
Boot Camp requires creating additional partitions on the disk and hence it complaining.
There is a commandline version of Disk Utility called diskutility (duh!). It has far more options available. Details for this command can be obtained by typing man diskutility in Terminal.app.
It appears that in theory you might be able to do the following.
Start off with both disks not setup for RAID
Use Boot Camp to create the Windows partition. Repeat this on each disk.
Then in Terminal.app manually convert the boot Mac partition to a RAID using diskutil appleraid enable
Then add the matching partition on the second drive to make it a working mirror using diskutil appleraid add
Then in Terminal.app manually create a RAID for the Windows partition using both drives and use FAT32 as the format using diskutil appleraid create
Then boot and run the Windows installer and tell it to erase the Windows partition as NTFS
I cannot gurantee the above will work and you should obviously have backups if needed. Another option would be to have the Mac partition covered by RAID but not the Windows partition, this would result in three volumes one Mac RAIDed volume, and two other non RAIDed volumes even though you have two physical disks.

  • Nokia Stereo Headset WH-205 buttons not working in...

I couldn't get Nokia Stereo Headset WH-205 buttons working in Music player.
Anyone know how to enable the buttons on the headset. I want to use the play/stop/FW/BW buttons on the headset
    Many thanks again

You'll be thoroughly thrilled to know that the N900 does not support complex headsets..
I have a pair of BH905 nokia headphones, frequently shown in official N900 videos being used with a cable..
Unfortunately when plugged into the phone using the cable, the buttons do not work.. in fact I don't believe you can use it has a headset via the cable..
Via bluetooth however, they work marginally better (the headphones crash)
Apparently headset support was removed in favor of TV out.. so head sets with multiple buttons just don't work..
I believe the only headsets that actually work as expected are the ones that ship with the n900..
I must admit, for all its faults, this was the one thing that irritated me most about this incredible media rich by peripheral crippled phone!
    Bad luck, I'm afraid!

  • Any Bluetooth audio problems since upgrading to ICS?

    Hi.
Was wondering if anyone has had any Bluetooth audio problems since upgrading to ICS?  In particular, have you had any stuttering and/or pauses in streaming since the upgrade?
I use a MW600 with my phone and I get stuttering and pauses every few minutes between the phone and the MW600 which is very annoying - to the point where I can't reliably use the phone for audio any more.
    Thanks
    Savcom

Sorry but it seems to be a problem some users are experiencing. It's already been reported so hopefully there will be a fix for this soon.

  • Bluetooth / audio question

Hi Guys - i have a question which may be more related to a particular application http://www.sonomawireworks.com/forums/viewforum.php?id=2 but seeing as no-one there seems to be able t help me (and it may in fact be a Mac, rather than 'app' related issue - I thought i'd try here)... ok, so here's my problem....
ight, I downloaded RW from Line 6 a while back (version X / Mac OSX). All was going well - great app then....(and this may be just coincidence) I tried to pair my Vaio with the Mac (unsuccessfully as it happens). After having done this, when booting up (which now takes a while) I get an alert saying
    "Bluetooth Audio Failed
There was an error connecting to your headset / ignore / stop using your headset"
Irrespective of the option I select, when RW does eventually fires up, there is no audio. I can see the app is playing OK (the master dials are registering) - but no output. Same problem even if I turn off Bluetooth on the MAC...
Any ideas guys? - I use the app for teaching and this is a real headache...

    1. Does a Bluetooth headphone set (for music only - don't need a mic for phone calls) require a Battery(s) to operate? If so, how often do you have to replace the battery(s)  say for 1 hour per day of use?
There is stereo bluetooth headsets that can be used just for audio listing but most bluetooths are made for phone handsfree use, if you want to listen to audio through bluetooth you have to verify the headset support A2DP profile for streaming audio.
    2. Anyone recommend a very good headphone set that is comfortable & great sound? Do I have to buy something specific for the DX from Verizon? Moto?  Or can I walk into any store and buy a Bluetooth Audio headphone and expect it to work? I *really* don't want to spend $150+ for decent headphones.
Basically all bluetooths can be used but it is a prefrence of what bluetooth works for you but I use Motorola H720 from http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Motorola+-+H720+Bluetooth+Headset+-+Black/9755234.p?id=1218167395767&skuId=9755234&st=bluetooth%20headset&cp=1&lp=5
    $59.99
    3. Are there any "gotchas" using Bluetooth for Audio music?  e.g., sound quality issues? interference?
Your streaming audio wirelessly and the quality can reflect this, if you want the better level of audio through a bluetooth give this a look at http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Rocketfish%26%23153%3B+Mobile+-+Mobile+Behind-the-Head+Bluetooth+Stereo+Headphones+-+Black/9828558.p?id=1218180649134&skuId=9828558&st=bluetooth&contract_desc=null

  • T61 Bluetooth Audio needs to be manually selected

I am using a Motorola S805 headset with my T61.  They pair successfully and I have all necessary services activated.  However, in order to stream audio through the headset, I need to manually select the "bluetooth audio device" in the sounds/devices control panel.  Is there anyway to get around this?  Shouldn't the stream of audio be automatic?

    Hello,
    Welcome to the forums!
There sure is a way to automate the streaming.
    1) Turn on the bluetooth radio (Fn-F5), once the radio's on, right-click the bluetooth icon in the taskbar and select "Bluetooth Configuration". (Alternate way is to turn on the bluetooth radio, open "My Bluetooth Places" on the desktop and select "Bluetooth Configuration" from the "Bluetooth" menu item).
    2) Click the "Local Services" tab, select "Audio Gateway" (double-click to open the properties) and check the box "Startup Automatically".
Next time you turn on the bluetooth radio and your headset, they should pair and the headset should automatically be connected.
    That should do the trick.
    Hope that helps

  • MacBook Pro & bluetooth audio - why so buggy?

    Hi!
I do, from time to time, try to hook up my Early 2011 13" MacBook Pro (running 10.6.8) with my Logitech wireless bluetooth speaker adapter. Sometimes it works - most of the time it doesn't.
It either won't connect at all - or the sound get's all chopped up (like if you try to watch a youtube HD clip on a 28,8 kbps dial-up).
So, whenever I want to enjoy Spotify through my loudspeakers, I have to use my iPhone, which works without a flaw, but I must say, it had been more convenient for me using my laptop instead.
I've seen similar problems concerning MacBook Pro and bluetooth audio on these forums, none of which there seems to be a solution to. And by looking at threads addressing this problem with laptops running Lion, I don't think upgrading the OS will solve the problem either.
Why this HUGE differences between Macbook Pro and Iphone bluetooth performance? What is causing this problem? Is it the bluetooth drivers? If so, is there some way to fix them? Like, downloading alternate drivers or modifying a string in a kext - something?
....Or am I forced to buy a separate bluetooth adapter for my macbook?

Unfortunately the problem is both software and hardware related. The software side of things can be semi-resolved by following the instructions at this blog:
    http://mariusvw.com/2011/06/16/how-to-fix-the-crackling-bad-sound-of-bluetooth-a 2dp-headsets-or-speakers-on-mac-os-x/
And the hardware issue is just downright weird, this document from intel explains that USB 3.0 cables and internal connectors emit radio interferance on the same 2.4Ghtz frequency as bluetooth, thus the range and signal strength of bluetooth is significantly decreaced in macs. This explains why iOS devices have exellent connections up to 33 feet but macs cut out just a few meters away.
    http://www.usb.org/developers/whitepapers/327216.pdf
Not looking good for mac users I'm afraid.
