NOKIA C2-02 MMS SETTINGS

I am attempting to use my bt sim card in a Nokia c2-02 mobile, having problems with setting up mms and sms.
The sim is new from bt today, but a message states that my handset is not recognised, bt say they only have support for the c2-01 model.
Anyone have the settings or able to help.
many thanks.

  • NOKIA 2220 cant accept MMS settings sent by servic...

hi, i have been using my Nokia 2220 since May 2010, but until now, i cant send or receive MMS. My service provider had sent MMS settings several times but my phone keeps on rejecting them with an error message that says like only 20 files can be received etc...
Another problem with my phone is the sms display time is incorrect. I have already set the correct time and date and i got to display them on the screen, but whenever i receive a text message or i send a text message, the time sent or received is not the same as what is displayed on the screen. I need help, pls! thanks

The same settings configuration that works for the old Nokia models should work for the new 6700c as well.
If you know the details of the settings for your operator (could be found from operators web page) you could try to create the settings by yourself, Menu->Settings->Configuration->Personal Config Sett. and then add and multimedia msg. Hope it helps.

  • Mms settings from ATT on nokia 300

I am unable to send or receive MMS on my Nokia 300 through ATT in the U.S. does anyone have the configuration info for this? Thanks

    Hi pbnok,
Thanks for your first message on the forums.
Just a few questions on your device, did you buy phone in the U.S?
Also have you tried contacting your network provider in order for you to recieve your mms settings? Normally once you put in your new sim card it should automatically add these settings for you. So if this hasn't happend then in this instance I would try to contact AT&T for them to send you these settings.
Also have you checked to make sure the message centre number is correct?
For the AT&T network it should be  +13123149810 but also have a look at the below link:
    http://www.wireless.att.com/support_static_files/KB/KB38686.html
Let me know if any of this helps.

  • Nokia Lumia 920 internet and MMS settings

For the Lumia 920 our local cellular company(Du UAE) is not able to provide Internet, MMS settings. Nokia has launched this device exclusively with Du(UAE). Can you please help in this regard. How we can configure our handset to use all features in it. Local Nokia care is not responding to this questions.
    Thanks,
    Nodirbek
Moderator's notes: Post moved to own thread.

The Lumia 920 is designed to extract network information from the sim card if the information is on the sim. Sounds like their sim may not contaiun this information. If this is the case, you can manually set it up. We won't have the settings for your network so they will have t o give you that. Once you have the settings, goto Settings>Accesspoint>Add, and just fill in the boxes with the information provided by your network. This list will also tell you what information you need. Would be an idea to have this page open when you ring your network.

  • Nokia 2220, mms settings

    Hi,
Probably a stupid question but I don't manage to find an accurate answer in the FAQs
How to enter MMS settings on nokia 2220?
    Regards,
    surasuri

Its not necessary to enter them manually, instead contact your operator and ask them to send you MMS settings, once received configuration SMS, open it, go to Options>save>it'll ask if to set them as defaults>select "Yes" and thats it. now try to send MMS.
    Good Luck.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

'3' but where in the world ('3', Hutchison 3G, has/operates networks in many countries, and the settings would be different for each country).
In any case, you can probably have the appropriate MMS settings sent to you as an SMS from '3' if you call their customer service. You may be able to order the settings from their web site, too.
Or you can go through http://www.nokia.com/support as Nokia has at least in the past had a web page where you can order the settings to be sent for several phone models/operators.
And if you have a phone with the "Settings Wizard" application on the phone, you can try running it to get the settings that way, too.

  • Nokia Lumia 928 MMS issues on unlocked device

I'm a Finnish guy and using Elisa as a carrier.
I got the chance to purchase unlocked Lumia 928 with a decent price so I checked its specifications (GSM Arena site) and also found out it could be used internationally.
It seemed to be a brilliant phone (and it sure is) so I purchased it.
But now I'm facing the problem with the MMS messages. All settings are just OK and I can send MMS messages successfully but I cannot receive them. The phone announces that "you've received a message which has media content" but when I try to open the media content, nothing happens.
This seems to be quite common problem (at least when I'm reading those most popular Windows Phone discussion forums) but I haven't found a solution to it. Someone has just said that because the phone is made for a particular carrier, it has "specialities" in its firmware. Well, the phone uses same MMS settings for sending and receiving MMS messages so how come MMS messages won't get thru to my phone correctly? I'd also like to know how the MMS firmware settiing are different between Lumia 925 and 928???
And most of all I'd like to get a remedy/solution to fix the problem from Nokia/Microsoft people Thanks a lot in advance!

Well, I suppose that even though Verizon has ordered these phones from Nokia, all the settings, applications and characteristics were preloaded to the phone at the factory. So in other words Verizon would've delivered preconfigured things to Nokia before the manufacturing process and would not start to fiddling around (=to install all the setting, apps and characteristics) when they received the phones from Nokia.
Therefore someone in Nokia/Microsoft must know the differencies between the stock firmware and the Verizon firmware, especially if we're now talking about these MMS issues. And I wanna know it. If I'd ask the same question from Verizon, they probably would not know the difference between those aforementioned firmware.
It's not rocket science, I guess it's just because of those preloaded/-configured differencies between the stock and the Verizon firmwares...

  • Nokia lumia 610 mms

I have a Nokia lumia 610 and since having it for a month I was unable to use my data I pay for on contract. Also am unable to send or recieve mms messages. I found the network support and did that. My internet is now working but my mms will still not send or recieve. It just says get media content. Then getting media content. Then goes back to the same etc..

    Hi eflower
Thank you for posting and welcome to Nokia forum!
Mobile network settings let you control the cellular data connection for your phone. An Access Point Name (APN) is the address your phone uses to connect the internet through your operator network. On the first startup Internet and MMS settings are read from the SIM if available.
     Try doing this step:
If you don't already have Network Setup application, download and install the Network Setup application which can be found in the Nokia Collection on Marketplace. Start the application and select your local carrier to setup Internet and MMS settings.

Of course there is a problem. MMS settings entries appear and can be selected inside the messaging settings but from there they can't be deleted or edited no matter how long you tap and hold on to them.
Anyway the nokia care shop acknowledged the problem and now the phone is in for repair...

  • Lumia 900 MMS Settings (Where is Network Pofile Ap...

I have an unlocked (By Rogers Canada) Lumia 900 that I purchased outright as I travel a lot and it's nice to be able to insert a SIM card locally to the location I'm currently in. I'm using it mainly on Fido (Rogers owned carrier). Everything works great except MMS.
I know for whatever strange reason WP7 doesn't have a Settings option to manually configure MMS settings. I read that Nokia had released a Network Profile App but I don't see it in the Lumia section of the Market. Read a couple of comments on the web that the app was removed. Why was it removed? This is something that should have been preinstalled!
Is Nokia releasing a Network Profile App for the Lumia 900?
Also read frustration from some people who indicated that the app has to have the provider listed to configure the MMS Settings.
It's really easy, all you need is an MMS Configuration app that allows a user to manually enter their own carrier settings!

    Kosh wrote:
Lumia 900 models which are currently available in the US and CAN region either come with MMS settings pre-installed or should get these from the SIM when going through the Device First Usage (DFU) procedure. For this reason the Network Setup app is not available in these regions for the Lumia 900.
Kosh here is OUR problem with this and you need to go back to the people who gave you this information and inform them of this so they understand.
There are two carriers that carry the Lumia 900 in North America, AT&T in the US and Rogers in Canada. Both carry the handset branded to their respective company and while each company likes to "lock" users into contracts to subsidize handsets, both of these companies allow users to purchase the Lumia 900 outright. As long as one is not in a contract to subsidize the handset, both (AT&T and ROGERS) CAN AND WILL provide their customer with an UNLOCK code. This is something they started doing recently, probably to keep the respective regulatory bodies in each country from forcing new policies on them. Whatever the reason, people like myself who purchased the handset outright and RECEIVED an unlock code do so because we want ot own the handset. We may travel and purchase sim cards in the countries we travel too. We may have multiple services and have the option of using the handset with any of those services or we may simply (as much as the carrier hates it) opt to switch carriers in the future.
It's not really practical for us to be resetting our phones to configure it for a new SIM card and the information you provided doesn't work anyways. I've tried it. With this said, the Lumia 800 sold by Telus in Canada allows you to configure the MMS settings through the Diagnostic app. The Lumia 900 does not and we need to do it in these cases.
Please provide whoever gave you this answer with the information in this reply. Unfortunately Nokia does not (they should) sell unbranded handsets directly to consumers in North America. And for whatever strange reason, Microsoft forgot to include the option to configure MMS settings in the OS like they do with data APN. Given the fact that both AT&T and ROGERS WILL PROVIDE CUSTOMERS WITH UNLOCK CODES, there is no reason why Nokia shouldn't allow the Network Setup App to be available in the North American marketplaces. I'm sure Nokia and these two companies would rather have it there then having customers like myself going to the FCC/CRTC to petition new policies against their respective carriers.
Please pass this information along as many of us need to configure MMS settings either through the NETWORK SETUP app or the Diagnostic App. We don't care as long as we can when we need to do so!

  • IPhone 4 MMS settings?

I currently have a factory unlocked iPhone, and am having a hard time configuring the MMS settings. I know I have to manually enter the setting (which I have), however I am unable to find out where to imput the MMS settings. It is somewhere within the phone, or does it require the iPhone Config tool like changing the APN settings.
    Anyone have any idea?

Note that this setting may not appear if your carrier doesn't support MMS or you're using a carrier that doesn't officially support iPhones (no carrier config file).
