Nokia c3-00 cannot write a new message after firmw...

Hi
My problem afther update to firmware v8.63 is that i cannot write a new message
Shortcut <- keypad (pressing left directon on keypad)
or when i go to MENU>MESSAGES.NEW MESSAGE then nothing happends
i can reply or send a new message to someone by the replying option and changing target number, or using the call log but its quite anoying, and 2 social icons in menu.
i have already tried
1. reset to factory settings - FAILED to fix problem
2.reinstaling phone update - FAILED to fix problem

you need to do a master reset on the phone but before you do that make sure to backup you files without the settings and applications on your comp using the ovi suite bec master reset will remove eveything that you have on your phone memory. after the backup dial this code on your phone *#7370# lock code 12345. if your phone is turned on again try now to send a new text message. if it will allow you now, restore now you backup file but dont include the settings.

The Mail app on the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch does have an option to clear previous recipients. You can learn to live with it. But if you want to get rid of it, the only way to remove these cached email addresses from the Mail application is restoring the iPhone/iPod Touch as a new phone/iPod. If you restore from backup, the cache is also restored.

Why is there always the text of an old message in the text box every time I go to write a new message?

For the last three days, when I go to write a new text/iMessage, there is the text of a message I sent recently in the text box. I've tried everything to get rid of it, but nothing seems to work... each time I go to write a new message, there's the same old text again. does anyone know why this is happening - and what I can do to erase it and get back to a good old blank text box? Thanks for your help!

If the login box keeps popping up either your acct is disabled or you are mistyping your pw.

why is my message textbox not empty when I try to write a new message. How to get rid of those text in the new message.

After installing Mavericks my email isn't allowing me to draft a new message. I can see my messages, but cannot create a new message or reply to any messages. When I try nothing happens, then Mail freezes all together.

I was able to get into my Mail settings and everything looks ok as far as I can tell.

Do a backup.
Quit Mail.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Go to Library/Containers/com.apple.mail. Move the folder com.apple.mail to your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the contents.
Restart, re-launch Mail and test. If the problem is solved, recreate any required Mail settings and import any emails you want to save from the folder on the desktop. You can then put the folder in the Trash. If the problem remains, return the folder to where you got it replacing the one that is there.

It should be an attachment. Your Mac just displays a preview of certain attachments (such as .pdfs) in the body of the message. A PC, for example, will see it as an attached file rather than a preview.
You can save the attachment on your Mac by Control-clicking on it and selecting Save Attachment.

Macs with a FireWire port will also boot happily from an External drive. You don't even need to open the MacBook.
Some users buy a drive they would like to have as a future Internal drive, and also buy an external enclosure. They get the External set up the way they want it, then swap with the Internal drive.

If the Messages Menu has the Preferences Option greyed out it tends to mean the App cannot "see" the .plist for this properly.
Apart for the iMessage Apple ID you entered how many other Buddy lists do you have ?
I would start with the Address Book.
Open this and check that the Head and Shoulders icon in the card with your details. (Messages uses the info and if it is wrong there can be issues).

Cannot view new messages after setting up Gmail

I had problems setting up my IMAP so had to delete my Gmail account and reinstall. Anyway, I have about 12K emails, and can view some, but I have 200 new message that I CANNOT View.
Any suggestions??? I've tried nearly everything.
Should I disable POP is IMAP is enabled?

Update: message sent from Mozilla to confirm this new message does appear, so it seems that messages received today 9/26 that were sent before Thunderbird updated to 31.1.2, are not viewable. The header appears but not the message itself. Messages created before midnight are appearing, this is most strange. Maybe the messages from today will appear after midnight.

Find a string in a file and write a new text after it

i try to search a string in a small text file. after this position I should write a new text (it is not the end of the text, it could be somewhere between).
I tried to solve this with the StrginTokenizer, but it does not work properly, any other ideas how to solve this?

To insert text into the middle of a file you use the process that has been used since the first text editor was invented over 50 years ago:
1. Read the text from the file up to the insert point, and write it to a new file.
2. Write the inserted text to the new file.
3. Read the rest of the text from the file, and write it to the new file.
4. Delete the file.
5. Rename the new file.

Cannot Write to USB Drive after it wakes up

I have a couple of external USB drives. Once one of them goes to sleep, I cannot write to it or eject it when it spins back up. When I try to copy and file to it the files seems to copy ok and when it's just about finished it errors out. This happens with the finder and with Pathfinder as well. If the drive sits and OS X spins it down I can't write to it or eject it when it spins back up. I just get the usual drive is busy, can't eject and any write attempt fails. I have to force disconnect it and reconnect it for it to function normally again. Tried a permission repair and that found no problems.
Any ideas?

Ok. More details. Apologies for the lack of them to start with.
The Case is a Vantech USB/SATA HD Dock. It has it's own power (i.e. it is not powered by the bus). The Drive in it is a Western Digital 1TB Caviar Green. It has done this on all USB ports and with any computer it has been connected to. Mac computers any way, I have connected it to a windows box at work, but not long enough for the problem to manifest it self. Unfortunately I don't have a Mac I can hook it up to directly via SATA to see if it is the enclosure. I found another SATA enclosure here at work to try it with tonight. It's not the computer going to sleep that is causing the problem. It the OS spinning down the drive.
I get this in the console log when I try and unmount the drive via the finder:

Pc suite 7.0.8.2 no new messages after unicode SMS...

I was using 7.0.8.2 on XP quite happily until a strange problem appeared. after receiving a multipart unicode SMS on my 6300, pc suite was no longer aware of any new messages - i.e. when I look at the "inbox", it had every message up to the unicode (chinese) message, but nothing newer than that. that makes the program no longer useful for me. I did not have this problem with any of the previous versions of pc suite. (I am a long-time user).

You can try to move that unicode SMS to SIM card.

Problem with new message after creating a note

Has anyone else had this behavior in Mail 3? It happens to me quite frequently- the problem goes like this:
Create a new note
Hit done on the new note to save it
Then, when trying to create a new message, nothing happens. I can hit the button all day and nothing happens.
Next, upon quitting mail, I see all of these drafts show up and when I restart Mail, there are as many blank drafts as times I tried to create a new message.
I've sent a bug report. It doesn't happen all the time but it has happened a lot to me.

I have this same problem. I had not bothered to track down its root cause, but I do (rarely) use the Notes feature in Mail, so that may well be what triggers this annoying behavior.

SMS inbox doesn't show new messages after upgrading to OS 5.0.0.681. SMS format appears as IM.

My SMS inbox doesnt show new messages and also my Curve 8900 doesnt prompt for any new messages. However, the Mobiso application (which logs calls, texts) shows messages coming in with its text lengths. I asked this to Blackberryhelp on Twitter but it said to contact service provider, but there is nothing wrong with it. The format of the SMS inbox should have something wrong otherwise the Mobiso application should not have logged all messages.
Please help me, i am missing all my daily SMS since last 20 days.
Will degrading the OS help? Which is recommended OS version for BB Curve 8900?
