The above link shows that it has wcdma. I think it means 3G. Or will it support CDMA sim card? Pls don't post wikipedia link as i've already read it but i couldn't understand it too well.

You thought it right, its 3G. There has been some CDMA phones from Nokia in the past, haven't seen any for some time.

Nokia 2280(CDMA to GSM Conversion

Dear concern,
Is it possible to convert NOKIA 2280 from CDMA to GSM handset( by changing any Software/hardware)??

my phone model no. is 2280 cdma RH-17MA and currently it turns off automatically and sometimes screen goes blank showing some vertical or horizontal lines...when I went to nearest nokia care ..they said its firmware problem and you have update the firmware ...I downloaded firmware update software and installed but dont know how to get the clean firmware as mine is corrupted which is why it has problems?

6120 Classic Dictionary Help

Hey all,
Does anyone know if it's possible to remove words manually added to the dictionary? I've got annoying words like "yot" and "I6m" showing up now instead of "you" and "I'm". It's bloody annoying when I'm in a hurry and so far I haven't found out how to delete these.
And if this feature isn't available on new Nokia phones I'm terribly disappointed. I used to be able to delete words from my old 6580 (Nokia's first CDMA brick) so this seems like a step backward.

The main issue is that I've set the rfcomm device manually. All devices which I've used earlier used the BT channel 1 for dial-up connection. I've copied one of them to this new entry in my rfcomm.conf .
BUT you have to check before which channel is for DUN:
sdptool search DUN
And of course it is the 4th channel here.
With this setting the dial-up connection to phone number "*99#" vent through immediately.

Media Transfer From PC to Nokia CDMA 1506

Hi,
Recently I bought new Nokia 1506 and have install the PC Suite for it, but it only give me way to sync Contact and Calendar Items only.
Is it possible to transfer more pictures and tones also to My Nokia CDMA 1506 ?
I know, the phones has small and limited memory but I want to make more personalize with My own wallpaper and tone if posible.

Thank you for your solution but it is not solve my problem.
I use PC Suite installer Nokia_PC_Suite_v1079.exe, same PC Suite version which available on support page for Nokia 1508/1508i and also 2608. In fact, I have Nokia CDMA 2608 and transferring more picture and tone can be done with it. With same PC Suite, I can't find the option while Nokia 1506 connected.
Both Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Ovi Suite which for almost GSM Nokia Phone doesn't work for Nokia CDMA Phone. On PC Suite web page, Nokia CDMA Phones has it's own version and can't be work with other Nokia GSM Phone.
I also have Nokia E52, PC Suite version 7.x, Nokia Ovi Suite version 2.0 and 3.0 work with but doesn't work for my both CDMA phones. Basicly I don't need the PC Suite for my Nokia E52 since I can attach it to PC as storage media and sync the PIM through the cloud.
Another forum suggest me to use Nokia PC Suite version 6.83 release 20 but I can found it anymore. The legacy nearest version I have; Nokia PC Suite version 6.84 release 10 doest work for my Nokia CDMA 1506.

if you downloaded and installed NSU on your PC, just follow the instruction on how to go about it, if your phone is not being recognized, then perhaps your phone is not supported, i have not seen any CDMA Nokia phones that are being supported by NSU, your local nokia care centre should be able to fix your software problem, albeit i think you have to pay...

Nokia 1506 CDMA modem driver

Does anybody know where to find Nokia 1506 CDMA modem driver? I tried to use the pc suite for 1506 but it seems not working...
have tried to use Nokia 1508 CDMA modem driver, but apparently the two devices' hardware ID are not the same... so the modem driver is incompatible.
I don't intend to use Nokia PC Suite functions.. i just need the modem driver...

Standby and talk time will depend on many different factors. These will include signal strength, how often the kepad is pressed, is bluetooth on etc. You will never get the maximum times quoted in the specs! How to charge a battery will depend on its voltage, the capacity of the battery and a little bit on the charger. Usually no more than 4 hrs will be required to charge the battery to 95% full!

Would the nokia n95 or 5800 work on a CDMA

im wondering because i looked on the FAQ's and they said you needed to have a phone with duel network or something like that . I plan to switch from ATT to verizon in about 6 months i was wondering if thier is any way i can still use my n95 8 gb on the verizon network or if thier is anything i can do to get it on the netowrk or is it just a $500 paper weight haha. I was also wondering the same thing for the 5800

Unfortunately no... The CDMA runs on a different band altogether and does not require a sim card.
Both the N95 and 5800 does not support the CDMA bandwidth.
Mark me a KUDOS if this has helped...

What so ever SAMSUNG offers NOKIA is rocking in all fields like Hardware Quality, Support and features. SAMSUNG sucks in all above fields.
K do not believe me or anyone else who is support of NOKIA. Just ask for proper User Manual from SAMSUNG for any of the handsets. 99.9% features are not explained in the manual. You need to learn by hit and trial. Moreover, 99.9% mobiles upto 15k does not support PC backup of contacts. Menus are damn confusing and useless.
I already wasted around INR 1,00,000 on useless SAMSUNG phones. If you still wanna go for SAMSUNG (any phone) just remember to learn everything (even untold truths) first.
Though, I am CDMA fan but as NOKIA is no more in CDMA I am forced to use GSM. I wish NOKIA re-start production of CDMA handsets.

NEED HELP! CONNECTIVITY NOKIA 2228 PC SUITE

i bought nokia 2228 CDMA several days ago. It said that it could connect to PC suite and it has usb CA-101 for its cable.
The issue is i got this error "nokia 2228 connected in a non-compatible usb-mode"
I was trying to see another discussions and forums but no where to solve my issue.
Could it because that this phone has not been supported with PC suite? in fact, i see at official nokia website, and found that this phone is no where to found in the supported list. But it's true that nokia 2228 description's said that it can. How should i fix it?

already tried at XP SP2 and VISTA Ultimate SP1. All of them in 32 bit. also already install the latest pc suite. Have also tried uninstall and reinstall again. Also have used Nokia cleaner tools.

I have used the Nokia 6265 handset for just about 24hrs but I have been able to check almost all features of this handset.I think its a good buy for the price between Rs15-17K.It has got many positives and hardly any negatives.
1) How can Ypu update software of Nokia 6265 Handset?
2) Hoe can you increase message storage capacity of 6265? as it is storing only 90 to 100 message.
3) How can you send big message ( above 160 charactor) through to ur 6265 cdma handset?.

The only way to increase the message storage ability is to free Phone Memory. The Phone Memory is shared with you contacts, bookmarks, gallery.
Your memory card will not help you to store more messages unfortunately.
