Nokia c3 keypad

my nokia c3 keypad is not working, i may have got it wet, i don't know, but itll turn on, and if i've taken the battery out, itll let me set the date and time, but once i get passed that stage, itll just stay on the homescreen and buzzes when calls and txts come through but the keypad freezes. it'll let me also turn it off but other than that nothing. I dont know what to do? it seems weird the keypad will work for turning it on/off and numbers(date and time) until i get to the home screen....
any help? thanks

Have you updated your phone to the latest firmware available for your device? To do so, check for updates in either Nokia Suite or on your phone itself. Also try restoring the phone to factory settings after performing the update. If either of these still do not work, then it may be a hardware problem, and you will need to take your phone to your local Nokia Care point for them to investigate.

N95 keyboars is much better than the N85 keyboard from any point of view, IMHO.

I know what is the problem of "Nokia 5500" Keypad!...

I have shown the glue of its keypad to some experts. All of them said that its glue is weak against temperature and I understood that My Nokia 5500 Keypad is unglued because of my pocket temperature.

Nokia N73 Keypad malfunction

I have a problem with my Nokia N73.
Recently I turned off the phone and when I turned it on again my keyboard wasn't working any more. It only showed the time/date settings (which I couldn't set because of keyboard malfunction). After some time, or some calls received - one part of the keyboard started working - all of it except little joystick) and I still couldn't navigate through menu. Whenever I switch off the phone it goes back to full non-working phase for some time.
I can't hard reset it because "green", * and 3 are not working when I switch off the phone, and reseting the phone throug USB is also not working because I can't set my phone to offline mode because I can't use the joystick.
Anyone has an answer?

Have you tried leaving your battery out for a while, before you tried the hard reset?
And, also, it's a good idea to remove the memory card and then try powering on . Now if the keypad works properly, backup using PC Suite and reinstall the firmware.
I don't understand why you want to go to Offline mode to reset the phone, if you meant reinstalling the firmware, you will have to put it any non-offline profile. However, for your info, you can go to Offline mode if the Power button works: press briefly to bring up the profile menu, and then press the button as many times as required to go to the Offline option located further down in the profile listing

Nokia 7390 Keypads won't respond please Help!

Did anybody experienced keypad froze and would not respond at all except for the power button? this could happen with their new Nokia 7390?

well it's been 6 months now but i bought it new in US. but the service on manufacturer since this is not US supported because they don't issue this model here, I was wondering if I pushed a button somewhere here that locked the keypads, any info will do!

Nokia 6680 - Keypad Light Problem..

Hi can anyone tell me why my keypad light switches itself off while the screen remains bright? Its impossible to text in the dark!

I have often wondered this, mine does exactly the same. I have S/W Vers 4.04.07.
I can only presume that it's some sort of battery saving feature that Nokia have put into the unit. What the unit should do is keep the keypad light lit whilst buttons are still being pressed and then only turn off when no keys are pressed for a certain amount of time.
Any ideas people???

Nokia 6500slide Keypad light problem

I am having a problem with my nokia 6500s, the keypad lights with the numbers on will not switch off unlike the buttons on the top((select etc))

I have the same phone...8 months old..actually it has been in for repairs 3 times..the new one they gave me to replace it is is for repairs as I type this.
My keypad lights go off after a few hours...whatever buttons I press..the keypad lights will not come on. Sometimes the delay is 3 or 4 days..but they eventually don't come on. The only thing that resolves it for a few days/hours is to switch it off and on.
I suggest you take it back to where you bought it.

Nokia 6300: Keypad Tones Disappeared?

Ok, first off this is my 4th nokia phone, and i know how to change the keypand volume in the profiles/tones settings. and i have checked it a thousand times. However when i keep pressing keys the noise is still missing. It was working just a few days ago, however it just disappeared.
Does anyone know how i can fix it?
I've tried by turning on and off the phone again. cos that's how it disappeared in the first place. but it didn't work,
I've changed the phone volume to max and it still doesn't work,
I've tried resetting the phone to factory settings, however when i go to the profiles/tones area to change the keypand volume, i still can't hear it. i save changes and press other keys however they don't make the beep. especially when i'm holdin a key down, it makes nothing. it usually beeps if something is happening.
Please help, it's driving me nuts, cos i'm so use to the beeping.

I might of figured why the phone is reacting this way... there is a power saving function on the phone. it might or might not effect it i'm still not sure, however the lower battery power issue might.
Both times when the phone played up it did the following:
1. losing keypad tones,
2. losing volume in the listing of the phone e.g. can't hear the person on the other line unless on loudspeaker.
3. lost some phone function.
This happened when the battery has been used and there is only like 1/3 battery power left on the display. I recharged it both times it worked again... and proberly me playing with the keys might of waken the phone up and said that 'eh u have power now, lets make noise'
I think so far there is a power issue in this phone. Maybe it's just mine. but i'll try an experiment and use all the phone power and see if it plays up again and recharge it. if that is the case the solution is to quickly recharge ur phone. LOL can't believe its that simple enough.
Anyways Thanks for the Help. If i need anymore help I will post again if you guys have the same issue, i would like to know, cos this i think is a flaw... but i guess to avoid it on my phone i'll just have to recharge when ever i can.

Creaking with NOKIA N82 keypad buttons.

Hi I'm from INDIA.I bought the N82 BLACK in mid of may 2008..My right soft key has started creaking..even the call hang up (Red) Key....
Is this a manufacturing defect?? The creaking isnt very annoying, but I fear whether it will affect the overall life of the keypad..
has anyone else experienced such problems??

That's a common bug that used to come up in all N82 colour versions; as you said, if keys are working ok and that creak isn't very annoying then get used with it, it won't affect your keypad life in any way.
Although you can ask Nokia Care at http://www.nokia.co.in/A4536241 and see what they have to say regarding this matter (don't expect that they'll admit that is a manufacturing bug )

Nokia 5310 Keypad problem

My keypad is not reponding, as a result of which my phone is locked(keypad lock) and i am unable to unlock it. My mobile is just 3 months old.
Does anybody else also facing similar kind of problems??? Plss help

try removing battery for ten minutes then try update the software if its not already up to date,if all fails its ahard wear problem and you will need to take it to a nokia care point

Nokia X6 Keypad Lock Button Broken

Can someone help? I have had my X6 for just under 6 months and the keypad lock button has snapped off. I have a protective cover on the phone and screen cover and have to admit that when I got the phone, I though it was a bad design and would eventually happen. How do I get it repaired? Is it something my service provider is liable for?

This has just happened to me, I have sent it to my service provider. They said they have not heard of this fault but I think they are lying. This is the third time I have sent my phone to the company and if they replace it it will be my 3rd new X6.
I have had software malfunctions, calling and testing problems and now the unlock slide key falls off. I have been very disappointed at the nokia X6 and I will not buy another touch screen phone made by Nokia. I will not be paying for this repair as I see it as a design fault by the manufacturer.

Nokia C6 keypad Backlight fail, not light sensor

The Key backlights doesen't work anymore.(of the keypad, the one's under the screen do)
It's not the light sensor, i tested is at night.
Does sombody know what to do?
