NOKIA C3 pure static during calls

For the last few days, whenever my mom sends or recieves a call on the c3, the person on the other line hears nothing but loud static while my mom hears them clearly through the c3.
we have tried using a headset and that didnt work
Any suggestions would be appreciated THANK YOU in advance!!

Does it happen in all cases? If not & the phone isn't network locked u can try inserting other sim card. If it doesn't work then pls contact nokia care of ur region as it seems to b a hardware problem.
Please mark the post as solution if it solves your problem.

  • Speaker mode is full of static during calls

My iphone 6 iOS8.0.3 has speaker phone problems. When the phone is in speaker mode and this is only during phone calls, the sound is full of static. This also occurs when my phone is in bluetooth mode during calls. I can play music just fine. Weird.

I went to the Apple Store and they reset the firmware and restored the phone as well.  I am still having the issues. They said the phone was fine and to keep using it for a week.  If there were still issues then to come back and they would run another test to see if the phone was picking up any issues with the reception.  The guy that helped me said that his phone sometimes has an echo for a couple of days and then it goes away.  I am wondering if it is a problem with Rogers.  I am interested to see that you are having similar issues. The static when it comes is a little annoying. It must be a software issue.

  • Nokia N70 Buzzing fault during calls

Purchased N70 yesterday and noticed during calls there was a buzzing sound. Will be returning for a replacement. Has anyone else had this problem? Only happens when the backlight is on. Any ideas how to fix this

I think this has been mentioned here before... as you're both within the return period - get them back and see if a replacement model will sort the problem.
If you were outside the return period, I would suggest taking it to a Nokia Service Centres as I don't think there was a solution mentioned.
I've noticed some interference when I'm on the o2 3G band with a poor signal - Is this when you're on dual mode? Maybe you could try switching it to GSM and see if you're still affected? Not that it's a great solution - but could provide better feedback to the suppliers.

    Hi!
I have a problem with my nokia 5530. If somebody calls me after i pick up a call, phone is turnig off. Same situation when im making a call. Only puting a phone in loudspeaker mode (or with headset) is solving that problem. I've tried a hard reset, updating, etc.

You're not alone - it seems there are quite a lot of 5530s with such a problem.

I have the same problem - even went to repair center. They said it was some loose part/connector and it looked that phone was fixed - I was able to make/receive calls with it - for a day. Then the problem reappeared and tomorrow I'll go again to complain. I hoped it was some firmware issue - but it seems I got a malfunctioning unit - so I hope they'll replace it.
Therefore I advise you to send yours to repair.

  • Droid 4 has large static during calls

    All,
Today I was making a call and for some reason during the call my phone picked up large amounts of static. To the point where I had to end the call. I have tried rebooting and calling someone else and it still has static. I have also tried changing my location, but that didn't help. I also tried calling my phone from someone elses and I don't hear the static on the other line until I answer it on my phone. Does anyone have any ideas what is up? I purchased the phone on April 4th. Would they still warranty this? There was no abuse or anything like that. I was just in the middle of a call when it happened.
    Thanks,
    Troy

    Hi,
I just got off the phone with support (I used a different phone). They are sending me a replacement. So if you have this isssue, call support.

  • Nokia N97 Repeated beeping during calls

Yesterday when i was making a call, the call conected and started to ring, but along with this came rapid repeated beeps from the handset as if i had dialed a wrong number or something, but the call conected and i was talking to the other person, but with these annoying beeps that were too loud to hold the phone to my ear to make the call worth while anyway. I hung up and tried again, same thing, tried different numbers and the same again. I switched the phone off and back on which seemed to have solved this, but is this going to be a recurring problem? It was only a few days previous to this that i couldnt make calls at all untill i swithced the phone off and back on as it made the same similar beep but not as loud and wouldnt connect to the other persons number, as if i had no signal, this got very frustrating as i was trying a few different numbers, then tried to call my friend next to me at the time and it called his number fine first time with no beeps. Has anyone else experienced this so far?
Ive been around 2 weeks without a bug on this phone and now this starts to happen, along with the alarm clock problem that happened this morning. I am still on firmware V11

    Chris
You dont have to wait for V12 since V2.0 is just around the corner (October) according to NW09.
version 2.0 will be releasing in october, if your phone is unlocked. if you got it on contract it wil be up to your carrier.
those beeps could be a result of the settings. not too sure where it is (don't own an n97), but in the call settings check if minute beeps are on (where the phone beeps every minute) its a feature i know some people use as a means of monitoring their call time.
    everything happens for a reason

  • Static during call between iPhones

    Hi all,
My GF and I both have iPhones and love them. Only problem we have is that my GF's phone has a lot of static when talking to me on my iPhone. She doesn't have static with anyone else, and we have tested this tons. I have also tested my phone for out going calls to make sure its not mine causing the problem. Nothing wrong with my phone when I call other cells or landlines. My GF has also replaced her phone and sim card.
Anyone else have problems iPhone to iPhone or have any recommendations?
    Thanks!

incompatibility with my provider (o2 Germany)
Maybe that. There's also the probability of bad network towers. In some areas you only get E and others you get 3G. The towers may have degraded over time and need maintenance. You can contact o2 Germany and report outages in your area, "unable to make calls", etc.

  • Loud static during calls occurs intermittently, but frequently

Mobile phones will occasionally flood a call with loud static, so that both parties sound like they're standing in a subway tunnel with trains rushing by. Every mobile phone I've ever had does this once in a while, and the issue is resolved by hanging up and calling the person right back.
My iPhone has done this only a couple times until about a week ago. Since then, about every third or fourth call has had this loud static. It is heard by both me and whoever I'm talking to. It can be talked over, but is basically so loud that it overwhelms the call.
Location does not seem to be an issue, as it has happened to me in different physical locations, and it may occur with both inbound and outbound calls. I have had the latest update (1.1.2) installed for some time now, so this problem does not coincide with any software changes. I have a first-generation, 8GB iPhone.
    Any thoughts?

This question was not answered, but I am closing it, as I haven't experienced the issue in some time. (I moved, so maybe the problem was my local phone circuits?)

  • Static during calls

While making or receiving calls, I hear static and clicking. I can hear the other party. They can't hear me.

    Suggest Hardware issue.

Get Phone replaced I would. MAke a backup of phone before you go so you dont lose data.

  • Nokia E6 flashlight problem during call conversati...

    Hi,
My new Nokia E6 have a problem, If I turn on the flashlight and make a call, then after some time when the flashlight turns on automatically with default time out period, then it wont turn on again, it just blinks and stays off, but If i disconnect the call, it works normal, but then again it wont turn on with call converstaion.
I want to know if this problems is just with me, or anyone else is having the same issue?
    Thanks

    HI
That needs some clarification. You turn the flashlight ON amd then make a call? I can't imagine the phone being able to make a call with the flashlight on because it uses a lot of power.

  • Nokia X2 Image Display during Call

    Hello There,
On Nokia X2, if I assign an image to a contact and when I receive a call from that contact, I cannot see the image, it is being hidden by the call notification. Only 30% of the image is visible and that too is a widened image. Also, the notification msgs are occupying the whole screen. Overall, the display factor isn't that good from a user perspective, it needs to be enhanced at a high rate. I have few more issues and will discuss them in other threads.
    Regards,
    Praveen P

Jimmy, I have seen better on other Nokia phones and I would expect the same from X2 as well. As you, I am also a fan of Nokia phones but this isn't what anyone would expect out of it. And X2 isn't an entry level phone compared to other brands, I would say Nokia couldn't manage it well to release it with quality.
I tried changing the theme but even that isn't working, for any theme, the call display is same. Do you have any better theme suggestion?

  • Crackle, pop, static disturbance during call.

    Hello,
As many others have reported, during calls only, there is a constant static disturbance that makes conversation so uncomfortable.
Disabled noise supression and slow talk, no change.
Not changed sim card yet, will do this soon and report if there has been a difference.
Will also attempt to use the pc companion repair tool.
Please share any fixes or work arounds that you may know of.
This is a major inconvenience, im not sure i would buy a sony phone again.

If disabling microphone noise suppression did not change anything, try to boot in safe mode, see if the same occurs:

  • IPhone 5c IOS7.0.3, other people can no longer hear me during calls unless I tap into speaker mode and back?

    Hi,
I'm currently using an iPhone 4S, but my partner has just bought an iPhone 5c. A while ago, before the IOS7 upgrade, my phone would for some reason act as if I had clicked mute during calls. Nobody would hear me, but I could hear them perfectly. The only fixes were to hang up and recall them back, or to switch it to speaker mode and back again. Very annoying. However, after updating my IOS, it suddenly stopped doing this. It was fixed, I was happy, game on.
But recently, my partners phone which was working perfectly fine before the new IOS7.0.3 update, has developed this problem. Exact same issue, exact same solution. I wouldn't mind so much, but shes bought this phone in the last month, its a brand new phone, new software, new model... It shouldn't still be doing this! Whats worse is that when driving, its very dangerous for her to have to keep switching between speaker and not just to get her phone working. (She drivers with the phone in a cradle with hands free on).
This issue is... Annoying. I've found that its not exactly a rare thing, and that a lot of people have had it for quite a while, but the only solution I've seen is to open the back of your phone and cover a certain part with paper/cardboard... Not exactly what we want to do is it.
Does anybody have any advice or a solution to this, as I'm going a little crazy trying to reset everything and fix it!
    Thanks in advance!

Same issues here. Sometimes during outgoing calls, people cannot hear me at all, even when the signal strength is good. Only solution is to soft reset the phone. A couple of times the person could hear me for the first few seconds of the call then it dropped completely.
I also experience the issue with the 3G data as you described (I think they are related... i.e., when the 3G data isn't working, the issues with outgoing calls exists too). The phone will just randomly seem to lose it's internet connection, even with full signal strength. Soft reset/toggling airplane mode fixes this.
I called Apple support; they asked if I was covering the microphone during outgoing calls (as if I'm that stupid). Come on Apple, I have a University degree in Computer Engineering, don't insult my intelligence! They then asked me to restore the phone (which I already did). Next solution they offered me was to replace the phone by sending me a new one first (at a cost of $35), or I could send it back and be phoneless for a week while they send a new one (which is not an option for me). I also put on a $30 Invisibile Sheild so if I exchange it, I already lose that. I believe the issue is not with the hardware, since the microphone seems to work just fine. Given that it is intermittent like this, it seems there's a software/firmware error somewhere that gets the phone into a bad state.
Very disappointed that the $800 phone I just bought functions worse for phone calls than the Nokia brick I had 8 years ago.
If anyone has a permanent solution for this that doesn't involve exchanging the phone, please let me know.
