Nokia c5 - web: unable to perform operation

Hi
I have had my c5 for several months. i check my work email on my phone from their server via a web address. since last week i get the following message: web: unable to perform operation
i don't have any problem when browsing any other website.
I have cleared cache and cookies, nothing changed.
Can you help?

I see this occasionally in my browser, but it's never completely blocked a site.  I assume it stems from certificate issues when logging into secure sites, but never checked it thoroughly.  (The browser may be trying to load secure web adverts, so I'm very happy to not see them!)  Is there anything unusual about your company's webmail portal?  Might you use a self-signed or otherwise custom certificate that was installed on your phone at some point?  If you contact your company's IT department, I suspect the error comes from a recent site change, and hopefully they can tell you immediately what changed and how to fix it.  If not, please post a followup.

    after i have upgraded to V40.. there has been problem with music store usage. Frequently it displays "Unable to perform operation". I have to restart it and sometimes it works fine... i think it has become too moody after my update.. jokes apart, i really need some fix since i have a hell lot of free music left for download... 
    any thoughts on it?
    also can i use the OVI maps for navigation without getting connected to Internet? i was just curious to know about it.. may be its a noob question but i wanted to clarify and was not sure to create a new post with it

              I too have the Problem after v40 firmware upgrade...
    I found a solution also....
    In Music Store Go to Options > Advanced Option > Clear Cache
    But the Problem Reappears when Music Store is restarted....
    I can't find a Permanent Solution....

  • C7 Unable to perform Operation

    I have removed all access point in my C7.I loged on with my WLAN but when i try to enter an site i got the massege that: Unable to perform the Operation.

    Btw, have you made sure that your browser is set to look for the right accesspoint? The one that you have made now? E.g make sure your browser is set to connect to Internet and make sure your accesspoint is stored in the internet category. It should be by default I think, but have an extra look.

    have you checked via nokia Suite on your PC if there are any fimrware updates available for your device? if there are any, please updaet to the latest version offered. failing that, you can try performing the hard reset on the device, but please backup all personal data as this reset wipes everything.

  • NOKIA E90: UNABLE TO PERFORM BLUETOOTH OPERATION

    Hi guys,
    It's two weeks since, I'm having problems with my Nokia E90 mobile phone: when I try to activate my bluetooth, after a few seconds I receive the message "Unable to perform bluetooth operation", but this doesn't work in this way permanently because some times works and some times doesn't work, it occurs trying to connect to my vehicle free-hands device or even just activating bluetooth.
    I can't understand what's happening because til now my bluetooth device worked fine.
    So, could anybody help me? because now I'm working with my USB connection, but this is not very operative.

    i heard the 210 sw is only a beta software and is for testing only... it could be causing you the problem...

    when I try to switch on my bluetooth module . it says that unable to perform th bluetooth operation.
    Please help I tried resetting the phone it didn't worked. please provide me a solution for the problem I am facing
    I am totally **bleep** off by giving my mobile for service center If I give the mobile to service center  it will be 4th time and every I get new problem.. really these nokia phone sucks...

As its being displayed on my device..thinking that the issue is only Software related, I Re-installed the previous version (v 52.0.007) without success. Even the latest firmware update (v 60.0.003) is of no help..
    P.S. when the problem started a few days back.. the BT got activated after a FEW tries 2-3 times.. but after that no luck..-

    I just completed a software update on my N70 hoping to fix an issue with the image gallery crashing with a large amount of images. My original firmware version was 3.x something which is what came on it when purchased. And was updated to 5.0705.3.0.1 30-01-07 RM-84
    The installed said it was successful although it did loose connection to the phone during it and I was told by the app that I should remove the battery and click on continue, which i did. Seemed to get it going again.
    Anyway the problem is now I cannot connect to the phone via PC suite or turn on bluetooth. The phone seems to work connecting to the carrier.
    What is the issue? Is this software update faulty? How can I get my phone working again?

  • N82 UNABLE TO PERFORM BLUETOOTH OPERATION

    HAVE A N82 FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS. I HAD PERFECTLY CONNECT MY PHONE WITH MY LAPTOP (MICROSOFT OUTLOOK ...) AND A BH-902 WIRELESS BLUETOOTH DEVICE UNTILL YESTERDAY.
    I HAVE LOST CONNECTIVITY WITH THAT TWO "RELIABLE" DEVICES.
    I TRIED TO RECONNECT THEM FROM THE START BUT I KEEP HAVING A MESSAGE IN THE BLUETOOTH FUNCTION SAYING "UNABLE TO PERFORM BLUETOOTH OPERATION" AND IT STAYS UNACTIVATED SO ALL MY TRYINGS KEEP FAILING.
    CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT SOMEHOW WITH THIS PROBLEM?

    i have the same problem... with the bluetooth. It just suddenly stopped working
    and some more problem... i dont have any warranty since my n82 was only given to me as a gift. i dont have receipt or doesnt know where to get the receipt.
    there have been quite a number of posts with regards to n82 bluetooth crashing after an update. Im not sure why mine crashed. I need some help here....
    I have read in some posts that its a bluetooth chip default. Some bad batch. 
    wont nokia fix this for free? it aint my fault they installed a faulty bluetooth chip. its sounds so unfair

  • N97 - unable to perform bluetooth operation

    Hi,
    for some reason my bluetooth stopped working. As you see I got this message when trying to turn it on: unable to perform bluetooth operation.
    I've tried to hard reset the phone, restore factory defaults, I've even flashed it with new firmware even though it was the latest installed. (11.0.021)
    Is there anything I can do to fix this?

    I come to use the Bluetooth. ( The Same as Everybody Else!!!!!!)
    It won’t switch on! Unable to perform Bluetooth operation. It keeps coming back with.
    Other things I’ve tried:
    Taking a photo & Song and send via Bluetooth. It ask me: Bluetooth is currently switched off. Switch on? So press Yes. Comes back with: Unable to connect!
    Done Factory Reset!
    Even tried taking sim out. This gets you a little further, But when you press Yes it Freezes the Phone!

    Hi, on my Nokia 5800 I always get the message 'Unable to perform Bluetooth Operation' when trying to turn on Bluetooth. I I already tried several  proposed solution, without succes unfortunately.
    * Remove battery
    * Hard reset
    * Soft reset
    * hit it on the side as proposed somewhere in the forum.
    I raised a request through Nokia support a week ago. They promised to contact me withing the 48 hours, but I have't heard anything from them.
    I have fw: 30.0.011. Altough Nokia site says there is a newer version I cannot update my phone yet  (tried via Nokia update on PC and on mobile itself)
    Any suggestions on how to solve this?

    Guys, I´m sorry to be the one to break it down to you, but it seems the culprit for this problem is a virus.
    I know it sounds farfectched but I had the same problem, I did a lot of research and in an spanish board someone mention that if you had made a backup of the whole phone with PC suite from before the problem with teh bluetooth arise, then restore it and that the bluetooth functionality would be back, he went on to say that this virus erased files vital to the bluetooth operation. So I went on and did the restore, and lo and behold, bluetooth is back!!!! but he also warned not to be very happy as he said the virus still looms in teh cell and that it will erase the files again taking the bluetooth with it.... I did the restore 1 hour ago, and I still have the bluetooth working.
    Lets hope it remains that way.
    Please let me know if this works for anyone else and how long it lasts.

    I have a custom functionality "Export to Excel" internal table data on my web dynpro application. I dint go with standard ALV feature because it doesnot give flexibility to add colours to excel sheet and add multiple tabs and so i had to write XML ABAP coding in the web dynpro application to achieve this. While passing the internal table data into cells, i created cells with string data type and hence all the fields in the excel are now in char type. Users are unable to perform any calculations because of this issue, i tried to format the cells but it doesnot work. Please help me.

    Just do the following in excel before downloading and check whether it works.
    Tools->Options->International tab.
    In that mention decimal separator as ,(comma).
    Thousand separator as .(dot).
    Uncheck use system separators.

  • In Printer Services box, i get the message "unable to perform the operation"

    HP Officejet H470wbt.  Using via bluetooth.  i have recently installed a new ink service module and a black toner cartridge. Now I get the following message when trying to view ink levels in the printer services area--"unable to perform the operation"

    "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"<br />

  • In printer services error message says "unable to perform this operation"

    when I try to check my ink levels in the printer services area, an error message comes up "unable to perform this operation"
    I have deleted and reinstalled my printer.  I have downloaded the lastest driver--all to no avail

    Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system?

  • 'Service this device' gets 'Unable to perform the operation' Deskjet 6940

    Installing this software on several different  XP SP2 boxes. The install does fine (although very long) and I can print to the printer. However, when I go to the printer properties and select Preferences and the Services tab, I click the "Service this device" icon and get only "Unable to perform this operation". I get the same results on 3 different computers. I tried installing the software from the CD, both USB connected and network connected. I also downloaded the latest s'ware from the HP site and got the same results.
    Any ideas here? Without this function I have no way to clean the print heads and such later on, even though the printing works OK.
    The only reference I could find previously by searching said that it happens when running the Firefox browser. I'm not doing that.

    After i've set Internet Explorer as default browser it Works !
    What a strange solution
