Nokia c7 front camera error

Hi, my c7 front camera does not working it shows an error report "Unexpected error occurred. Please restart the
camera.
If this does not help, try restarting the phone." i don't know why is this happening but i think it occurs after symbian belle update. Can any one help me ......

Since you have mentioned that you encountered the issue after updating the software to Symbian Belle, if you have not tried doing a soft reset on your phone, you may just dial *#7780# and enter the default security code 12345 if not changed. It will restore the settings back to default or manufacturer's settings, no data will be deleted. It fixes some issues on the device. If issues persists, you may try to reinstall the software to fix some application issues on your phone.
Just follow the steps below:
Connect your phone to PC using USB cable and launch Nokia Suite.
Once your device is recognised, click on Tools and select Software Update.
Click on the "reinstall" button.

Urgent help nokia c7 front camera error belle

i have upgrade to belle then i show that my front camera is not working.

I use the front camera on Nokia 701 for video calling, works alright.
That is the main thing I think, cant see any other use of it cause of the much better back camera when taking photos or video recording...Am I missing something important?

C7 front camera error

Hi, please help me after I updated my c7 software to symbian anna my front camera is not working, I am getting error "unknown error occurred, please restart the camera, if problem persist then restart the phone" and after restarting still I am getting the same error.

If you have front-facing camera problems, consider the possibility that the camera module itself may have become detached. My C7 recently fell a distance of about 30 cm onto a wooden floor. I now get the same "unknown error, please restart" whenever I try to access the front cam.
I took my phone to a Nokia care point and they opened the phone and the tiny camera module just fell out. There are about 16 pins which connect this module and it doesn't look like it's soldered into place using conventional soldering methods. There is no sign of soldering actually, just tiny contact points. I dont know if this module normally just gets held in place or whether they are soldered by some special manufacturing process. But it looks extremely fragile and probably is, as I've found out.
You will never know that the camera has broken off without the phone being dismantled, since the module is held in place by a rubber gasket pressing against the touchscreen.

Front camera error on my BBPLAYBOOK

on my playbook when i try 2 open my front camera its not opening . its showing camera error & the camera is in use .close any other instances of the camera and try again...

Best thing to do with any apparent hardware fault is
1. Restart (you already tried that)
if that does not work
2. Backup data and perform a Security Wipe (Settings, Security, Security wipe) and set your playbook up again.
if that does not work
3. Debrick.
If debrick does not work, call your country's RIM support number ( www.blackberry.com/playbook )Tell them you have already reinstalled the OS using Desktop Software (because that is what they will walk you through otherwise) Depending in whether you are in warranty you will then have various repair/replace/trashcan options.

Backup your data the best way you know how.
Make sure you know your Blackberry ID and password
Turn Playbook right off (i.e. Shut Down til black)
Download latest Blackberry Desktop Software to your PC or Mac and start it up
The next bit happens very quickly.
Connect the Playbook by USB cable.
If the red light starts to glow or playbook starts up, press the Off button til it goes off.
Because Playbook is off you will get an error message basically saying Retry or Update (on Mac it may say Repair rather than Update)
Quickly select the Update (or Repair) option
The Playbook will start to get a new OS that will take al least an hour to download via the PC
Follow the registration process using your current Blackberry ID
Add back your email accounts etc.
Reinstall your apps from App World, My World.

Nokia C7 secondary camera error

i am using a nokia c7 yesterday when i opened my secondary camera it just displays a error msg saying that: "unexpected error occured;restart the phone"
dont know wht happened dont hav any idea can anybody help what to do.....

Nokia E6 Front Camera

Does anybody know whether the secondary camera can be used to take photo's?
I know that some Nokia handsets have this facility that can be used for both video calls and photo's, but I have pre-ordered the Nokia E6 and was hoping the secondary camera could also be used for taking pictures.

I'd much rather not see(or hear) myself AT ALL
But I believe that's the main use other than video calling, some cheaper feature handsets with no front facing camera have a small mirror under the rear camera to help a user take a self portrait !

Front Camera Flipping photo

Why is my front camera flipping the photo to the opposite side? It just happend recently, and I can't fix it in the camera settings. HELP!
I've had the ios 6.0 update for three weeks and it happend this week.

It didnt happen suddenly. whateva device you use if its apple, samsung or nokia, the front camera flips the image after taking pic.

Nokia Lumia 900 Front camera issues

Hi Moderator,
I bought the new Nokia Lumia 900 few days back and today for the first time when I tried using the front camera on one of my video calls it just froze. Thinking that it is software(skype, tango) problem I tried to open regular camera but the front camera wouldnt come up. I called At&t technical support he advised me to switch off the phone, remove sim, re-insert the sim and turn it on. It worked(thought I still dont understand the realtion between sim and camera). But after some time the camera again hung up on me. This time I switched my phone off for 5 minutes and then turned it on it worked. And I cannot do the whole process again and again all day. Is that a known issue or defect in my phone.

I also have a new Lumia 900 with skype installed. I am finding that the experience on wifi is still not as smooth as Facetime on an iPhone. I am also finding that after I use it a second time (my call hung up in the middle), suddenly my front camera will not work correctly anymore. It is showing the image as though it has some kind of a filter applied and there does not appear to be a way to turn or reset this filter. Switching to the front view worked fine. Audio continued to work fine and my phone did not lock up, other then possibly internet delays. I got the front camera to work again by powering down. I think there might still be software issues.

Iphone has a new battery and front camera flex cable. Wont turn on and Itunes gives me error 4014 when i try to restore

So my iphone 5 was having very bad battery problems and apple said they charged $80 to which i was astonished by because my warrenty ended 2 weeks eailer. I thought maybe they would be generous and help me out but no so i took it upon myself to get a new battery and install it myself. I did that and it turns out i need a new front camera flex ribbon so i also bought that and installed it myself. Whe i was donre installing it my phone flashed the apple logo and went black front there. I tried connecting to itunes and it gives me error 4014. Will apple still fix my phone even though i opened it?(Im not under the warrenty anymore).

It is unfortunate that you chose to open the device. Apple will not touch it now. Out of Warranty replacement is no longer an option.
Buy a new device.

6288 is a dual camera with 2 MP at the back, the second camera at the front which is used for video calling, sadly u cannot take pitures out of it.To set up video calling u must contact your service provider.

Reddish tint on front camera glass on Nokia 808 Pu...

Some time ago I replaced the somewhat broken case of my Nokia 808 Pureview with other one, used, but in good physical condition. Everything went ok, no problem here.
There is a strange thing however: the front camera glass of the "new" case has a slightly reddish tint, whose color resembles a skylight photo filter. It can be observed quite well in the attached images (in the one with both, the "new" case is on the left).
I am unable to spot a difference in colors of the photos taken before and after case change, but that doesn't mean much. The colors of the 808 were never on my favorite side (I always prefer the N8 colors, but this is also a matter of taste) and those taken with the xenon flash have a pink white tendency almost all the time (especially on subjects having lot of white) – but that was the same with the "old" case also.
My question is – was this physical optical adjustment intentionally made by Nokia at some point ? Or this is something common and just my old case was different than the average ? The glass on the old case seems just a little bit dark, but this could be only an impression and for sure it has no particular color tint.

BTW, we do not recommend unauthorized disassembling of parts as it may cause further harm to the phone & will void your phone's warranty. N95 front camera : Unexpected error occurred. Powe...

When I try to use my N95 front camera it just says "Unexpected error occurred. Power off the device and restart."
I tried everything. Updated the firmware, replaced the flex cable and the front camera, restarted the phone, etc. and nothing happened.
Can someone help me ?

gdegas001, I'm inclined to your suggestion.
I'm not using the N95, but my N82 is spitting the same error message.
I think I have the latest firmware V31.0.016 (not sure if this is latest or not).
I have also done *#7370# follow by 12345 to reset the phone.
I have also changed the following: from silver to black to gold and now back to black housing! Of course in doing that, I've changed several keypad flexes.
Ok I'll cut to the chase, I think I've demaged the flash (or it's flex) after changing the facet 4 times!
It is on my latest N82 face change that I received the "Unexpected error...". And of course it is the first time I notice the blinking flash battery (in the manual, this means the flash is charging!). Now it is ok if the flash is charging after it fired a few times, but a blinking flash indicator followed by the "Unexpected error.." is likely to mean that the flash is not charging or dead.
I'm going to buy the flash unit (about $30 on eBay) for replacement and see if my (or your's) suspicion is correct. Will update you all soon.
Of course the "Unexpected error.." can mean many things, the flash issue is just one of them. So don't even think about changing the flash unless you always see the blinking flash indicator first. Another reason for getting the "Unexpected error..." is if you have changed your housing for your phone at least 3 times, by yourself!
