Nokia cable driver installation fail

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium.
I have installed Nokia PC Suite 7.1.51.0 and Nokia OVI Suite 2.2.0.245 but I still cannot connect my device using USB cable (i use a CA-101D cable).
When I connect my phone to the PC a "Found new hardware" window opens and tries to install some drivers and finally fails.
Even if "drivers for the Nokia DKE-2, DKU-2, CA-42, CA-53, CA-70, and CA-101 cables are now integrated into Nokia PC Suite.", i have tried to install the cable driver separately, but I still encounter the same problem.

Hi auricii
Try to clean you pc suite installation, follow guidelines here:
http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/pc-suites/how-to/nokia-pc-suite-cleaner
Then install the PC Suite from its CD software that included in the sales package box when you buy it or just download the latest version from pc suite website.
At last, attach your nokia with its own data cable, I think it also already included in the sales package box or you can use others any compatible micro USB cable data.
And you are using Vista, I never use it with pc suite but I have inconvenience experience with Vista, when I attach some hardware some time I should manually search driver for them even I have already install the software driver.
In your case, if driver still required or the installation just fail, update the diver and search it in nokia pc suite installation folder, in some driver folder I think.
If still no luck, your Vista may need to fix: apply to latest windows update or reinstall windows may necessary the reinstall the pc suite again.
Thanks and regards

  • Installation of Nokia Cable Driver (USB) fails und...

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium, SP2. I have installed Nokia PC Suite 7.1.30.8, and I want to connect a Nokia E65 via USB cable CA-53.
The installation of the software works well except the installation of the cable driver. I do always get an error message "Error when loading nsesetup.dll - nsesetup.dll is not a valid Win32 application":
    During the installation of PC-Suite (however continous and finishes;
    When trying to de-install the existing "Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver (2,91 MB)" - I have no idea where this entry comes from, whether it's an older installation or newly created -, de-installation fails also;
When trying to install the separately downloaded Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver software.
When I am trying to connect my E65 via USB afterwards (ignoring the error messgaes during installation), Vista is searching for drivers. I'll then get an error message "Have found drivers, but there is an error during installation: Nokia E65 USB Phone Parent - Driver is not intended for this platform."
Note: I have rebooted the PC after installation.
Looking in the device driver list, I have an unknown device at "Port_#0001.Hub_#0002" and the error message "Driver not installed for this device (Code 28) - Driver not intended for this platform." Driver details are "C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\ccdcmb.sys, C:\Windows\System32\nmwcdcocls.dll and C:\Windows\System32\wdfcoinstaller01007.dll". I have then tried to re-install drivers being in the device driver window and choosen "from local PC". I have specified the Programs/Nokia directory, where are both PC-Suite and Cable Driver subdirectries. I'll then get the same error message "Have found drivers, but there is an error during installation: Nokia E65 USB Phone Parent - Driver is not intended for this platform."
I am giving up now - can't de-install the shown driver in "Programs & Functions" due to this nsesetup.dll error message, I can't install the new drivers, neither from PC-Suite or directly. Grateful if somebody knows a solution.
Note: I am running german versions, that's why I've translated the error messages - might not be 100% identical with the original english error messages. Thanks for any reply in advance, Frank

Hi,I did everything you've recommended, but with the same result. No connection possible because no driver can be installed. In detail:
    De-installed every Nokia Software and also ran PC Suite Cleaner from Nokia, got "successful" messages;
Unfortunately I still can't can't de-install the shown driver in "Programs & Functions" due to the mentioned nsesetup.dll error message (RunDLL: "Error when loading nsesetup.dll - nsesetup.dll is not a valid Win32 application").
Then I did the same as described initially, installed PC-Suite latest version (and got the driver error) and rebooted - this time did not install Cable Driver separatelybecause they're included in PC-Suite -, connected my E65 to another USB port (now at the rear side of my PC) and Windows driver installation failed. No phone is recognized when starting PC-Suite.
I have attached the PC Suite Cleaner log file.

  • Multiple USB Device Driver Installations Failing

Windows 7 64 Bit  / MSI P965 Platinum Mother Board
I have three USB driver installations failing. I believe this is related to ' USB', because installations of other software unrelated to USB devices install just fine. Might it be a Windows Installer Service, appears to be running fine?
    Failing Device Driver Installations;
    1) IOGEAR USB 3 PCIe card
Problem: The installer runs part way through the "Preparing to install' process and goes into limbo. I have tried three USB cards by different manufacturers and get the same problem. Tried several Renesas installers, all failed.
Microsoft Windows Installer says: 'Stopped working. Files that help describe the problem: AppCompat.txt, WERInternalMetadata.xml, WERDataCollection failure'.
    2) APC Battery Backup 'PowerChute' Software
Problem: : The installer runs part way through the "Preparing to install' process and goes into  limbo -or- I get an error message telling me to check the USB connection. APC cable is pulgged into a native port, not a hub. APC has no solution.
    3) Logitech Harmony One Remote Software (Finally installed in 'Safe' Mode
Error: : The installer runs part way through the "Preparing to install' process and goes into limbo, but, when I went into 'Safe Mode' the software installed properly. Installation of the other two examples yield the Windows 'can't be installed in safe mode'
    Help Appreciated - IM

To rule out a Windows problem, have you tested with a fresh parallel installation?

  • SoundBlaster X-Fi Driver Installation Fails After Moving Soundcard to New Slot

NSoundBlaster X-Fi Driver Installation Fails After Moving Soundcard to New Slot4 I recently moved my X-Fi Elite Pro soundcard to a different PCI slot to accommodate my new large PCIE graphics card.
Prior to moving the card, my?original SoundBlaster install went fine without any trouble. When I booted up after relocating the card,?it was not detected at all. So I uninstalled my SoundBlaster driver software and?rebooted the computer?thinking that was necessary to clear any hardware configuration settings from the old install. This made no difference. I then discovered my card was not seated properly and corrected it.
Next I installed the SoundBlaster driver software. The installation proceeded and finished with a request to restart the computer. Once I did, the computer detects my card and starts the hardware installation wizard asking if I want Windows to search online for driver software. It does not recognize the just installed SoundBlaster driver installation. I have a dual boot setup and this happens in both WinXP Pro and Vista 32 Home Premium.
    What's wrong here?

Forget it folks...couldn't wait for any suggestions so I just cleaned off my hard dri've and reinstalled everything. Works fine.

  • Nokia cable driver issues

Is there any plans to fix the cable driver problem which appeared after cable driver ver 6.82?
If you install latest version of Nokia PC Suite, it does not find the connected phone as modem, and you need to uninstall the cable driver and then install older version (6.82) before it works. I've noticed the same behaviour in several phone models (at least E51 and 6300) in both XP and Vista. Last time was today, the latest PC Suite, OS was XP Pro SP3 and phone Nokia 6300.
Besides, Nokia does not seem to have old drivers available, so it's a **bleep** always trying to find the driver from net.
Is there any status update on this? I've seen MANY discussios in net about the same subject, all with the same uninstall/reinstall old conclusion.
    Br,
    Jani

Thanks for the tip, this isn't even an option for me any more using version 7.0:
    - no modem so I updated to version 7.1
    - still no modem
    - no uninstall option for the cable connection
    - old driver cannot be installed.
In comparison, it was really simple on a Mac!

  • Re: Satellite P100-160 - Display driver installation failed

Satellite P100-160, PSPAAE, vista 32 bit,
Today Aero wasn't working and not available in graphics properties. Installed latest display driver from Toshiba UK site, Intel 15.0.1.1114. This version was actually older than my current driver but I thought that maybe as it was the only one availabel that it must be correct.
The driver install failed with an error (no details just 'an error has occurred'). Now I have no aero and my display resolution cant be set above 1280x800 - should be 1440x900
To say I am pisseed would be an understatement. Can anyone help? thanks

    Hey,
If Aero is not available I dont think its display driver problem
Anyway, have you removed the old display driver before you installed the new one? Go to device manager > right click on graphic card > uninstall. After reboot the display driver should be uninstalled and you can start with display driver installation.
If you install drivers make sure you are logged in as Administrator and antivirus/firewall is disabled. Restart once again and you should be able to choose the native screen resolution now.
    Check this!!!

  • All-in-one driver installation fails under Windows 7

I am trying to install the all-in-one printer driver for Windows 7, 64-bit, Service Pack 1.  I have downloaded the installer from HP (AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe), downloaded it using HP Print and Scan Doctor 4.3 and using the HP Printer Install Wizard (hppiw.exe).  All methods fail.  My computer is a new Dell Inspiron (Intel i5-4440 @ 3.1GHz, 8GB RAM, 64-bit OS).  The printer I am installing for is a HP 6310, which is old but which has worked well for years under Windows XP.  I don't think the printer is an issue since the installer never reaches the point of scanning for hardware.
    Symptoms:
Installing using the downloaded installer, the initial splash screen displays.  Selecting "Install" displays a second screen with several progress indicators beginning with "Checking system...".  After checking for a few seconds, an error box pops up complaining that it can't find a file named "hpzpnp.ice_suffix..exe".
There are two files in the Setup directory named "hpzpnp01.exe" and "hpzpnp04.exe".  The Autorun file contains many references to an %ICE_SUFFIX% environment variable.
I guessed that the installer executables did not have enough privelege to set environment variables, so I went through the installer directories and set all the executables to run with administrator privelege.
After that, running "Setup.exe" from the top of the install tree, the initial splash appears, followed by the second "checking system..." progress display.  Then a new window with advice about keeping firewalls turned on, etc. pops up.  Continuing from that point pops up a new error box saying:
"The specified path is too long C:\Program Files (sLar dig mer med hjalp av en demo pa skarmenHitta enkelt dina foton med onskad metod-Datum, Markning, Mappar, Sok, Favoriter)\HP\."
I have done this multiple times, and the parenthesized phrase (Swedish?) is sometimes different, but always wrong.  It looks to me as though the installer is trying to decide whether to install 32- or 64-bit drivers, but can't decide which.  It fails to initialize a string variable and concatenates garbage onto the "C:\Program Files" path string.
I have also seen an error box with the following error near this point:
    "C:\Users\Sid\AppData\Local\7zS4689\Setup\hpzrein01.exe" "-wStub" "3...
    "The parameter is incorrect."
Clicking OK on the error box aborts the installation.
Installing using the HP Printer Installation Wizard produces the same error message as the initial attempt with the downloaded installer about missing files with names containing "ice_suffix".
Installing using the HP Print and Scan Doctor progresses as far as the "path is too long" message.
I've done this now many times, trying different things, without success.  After each attempt, I run the Uninstall_L4 utility in utils\ccc under the installer tree, then run the OS Disk Cleanup utility.  Following an earlier post, I installed the latest version of Flash Player, with no change in symptoms.
Any fresh ideas would be much appreciated.

    Hi ehildum,
Thank you for the time and effort you put into your post. I can see you have done plenty of troubleshooting on your own, but I do have an idea.
If the USB cable is plugged in this could be causing issue. Assuming it is connected, let's unplug and take a look at the Device manager. The hpzpnp.ice_suffix indicates a plug and play 'pnp'.
Follow these steps and let me know what happens.
    Click on Start
    Right click on Computer
    Select Manage
On the left panel, click on Device Manager
Click on View at the top and select Show hidden devices
Look in the list for Other devices
If you see the printer here, right click and select uninstall
Look in the list and click on the arrow next to Printers
If you see the printer here, right click and select uninstall
Delete all files in the %temp% folder
    Restart the computer
Open the installer from your download  (AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe)
Do Not plug the USB cable in until the software says so.
Please let me know the outcome of these efforts. If your USB cable was not connected please complete the above steps anyway to see if there is something stuck in the Device manager that could be causing the conflict.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Got a brand new, fresh out of the box, HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn. Failed to install the driver that came with it on my computer Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium. • Unattended driver installation fails with code 800b0109

    hi there
i´m trying to install server 2012r2 unattended.
at the moment its failing while installing some driver.
the driver are signed and - as far i can see it - the signature chain is complete with no errors.
however - when i´m trying to install the driver (i´ve tried pnputil and devcon, or even manually) i get a message that the driver isnt trusted.
when i accept this message everythink is working - but its no unattended installation.
i´ve checked the setupapi.dev.log and found this:
! sig: Verifying file against specific (valid) catalog failed! (0x800b0109)
! sig: Error 0x800b0109: A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider.
i am willing and able to install the root certificate - but which one??
how can i find out which certificate is affected?
    *edit*
it seems that disabling the testsigning via bcdedit is not longer working under 2012r2
or do i need more than one step?
    thx

    Hi,
If an unsigned or invalid boot-critical device driver is installed on an x64-based computer, the computer will not boot. The unsigned or invalid boot-critical device driver
    will cause a Stop error.
If you trust this driver and trying to install this unsigned driver, use /ForceUnsigned to override the requirement that drivers installed on X64-based computers must have
    a digital signature. For example,
    Dism /Image:C:\test\offline /Add-Driver /Driver:C:\drivers\mydriver.INF /ForceUnsigned

  • HP1510 All in one - Driver installation fails

I am trying to install HP1510 all in one onto a new windows 7 machine. Using the HP provided software the installaion fails and it seems that the computer cannot detect the printer (although the machine does detect the printer and yellow triangle is seen on hp1510 in the device manager).
I tried the HP Printer install wizard which recognizes my printer and the USB connection and after diagnosis, says that all relevant software are installed but basic driver is either not installed or configured properly and  wants me to manually update the driver.
If I try to manually update the driver, I see driver is installed and on trying to use it get the  "Unable to find core drive package that is required by this driver package".
HP Print andScan doctor doesn't recognze the printer at all.
PS: I have used the latest driver software downloaded from HP website and connected the printer only when requested. This printer corects works with my other PC so I feel that harware is OK and it is a system issue. I have also run windows update to make sure my PC is updated.

  • Win 7 Blu-Ray DVD driver installation failing

I have a user who just purchased a new HP Pavilion Entertainment laptop Model dv6t-2000.  The DVD drive is identified in the Device Manager as "hp BDDVDRW CT21L".  The drive appears in Device Manager with the classic yellow icon and the properties list error code 39 as the reason for why Windows cannot successfully start or install the driver.  The drive does not appear at all in Windows explorer because it is not installed.
The Recovery Manager has been used to reinstall the hardware drivers but no driver appears for the DVD drive.
I have uninstalled the drive from Device Manager and restarted the system but the problem remains.
I have searched for another source for the correct driver and have found nothing.
The HP website doesn't even recognise the drive name.
As soon as the owner provides the OEM cds, I will attempt to reinstall the driver.
Any suggestions for how to fix this problem would be appreciated.

Hi how's it going, hope ur doing fine.
I am currently experiencing this exact problem and noted the date of your post. [and also the no-response-so-far]   Did you ever manage to get a fix for this problem?
I have an hp hdx9313tx notebook pc, that I basically bought to play blu-ray's on.  I upgraded from Windows Vista Ultimate x64 to Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and lost blu-ray capability and apparently the quick-play touch buttons don't work properly now either.  It still plays back a regular DVD.
When I put a blu-ray in the drive, it seems to get 'read' but when I click PLAY a message pops up that:                                      "VGA Resource is unavailable.  Playback is not allowed"
So far hp's Support & Drivers pages are not listing any Support & Drivers for for this model running any version of Windows 7.  p/n KU827PA#ABG   HDX9200 series
Anyway I hope you did find a way to sort this and look forward to seeing post update from you.  Thanks very much from Dave.
