Nokia Care is HORRIBLE... Don't EVER buy nokia

Does anybody know how to go above nokia care for warrenty. I've had to send my lumia 920 back 3 times for proximaty sensor issues. On the third time when i pulled my sim card out some sim connectors broke. Nokia will do absolutely nothing.

use this page to enter your information.
then you should be able to have an option for the phone number....where it is not readily available on this page.

  • Guys,don't ever buy NOKIA

Since I buy nokia lumia 920,I waste a lot of time on restart my phone, asking for help and waiting for respond.Although u contact to NOKIA SUPPORT,they will keep ask u to 'soft reset'.After a few day,the problem is back.......
           Now i realise iphone better....but i can't afford a new phone anymore

    Dear Lottery,
How unfortunate that you have a bad experience with your Nokia. It is actually a nice brand. I think more people will use a Nokia Windows phone if the following could be improved:
    1) better camera zoom (for 620)
    2) attaching existing video files from the gallery to send via whatsapp/email
    3) allowing 3rd party app for internet safety and filter/accountability softwares
    4) content restrictions for app market with passcode (kid's corner not so practical in some situations)
    5) designs of lumias look great. However, the colours and plastic bodies look er....extremely inexpensive (trying to be tactful here...sorry) Now, the 925 looks more classy.
    6) could have access to apps like "line", "tango" and so on....(are users able to download such apps already???)
Otherwise, it is lovely to have a Nokia Lumia....Yay!!!!

  • Apple shipped the wrong MacBook Pro, PLEASE DON'T EVER BUY REFURBISHED MACS

I know some of you may read this and go "whaaaaa? I bought all of my macs from the refurbished store and never had an issue" well, I was one of those too. In fact, only 1 of the 8 Macs I have was bought on an Apple Store, the rest, all refurbished.
But this, this is ridiculous. I just spent an hour and 48 minutes trying to find a solution for what I'm about to share with you.
A few days ago I bought a 15' 3.06/256 SSD refurb MacBook Pro. The order totaled $ 2.941. Here's the receipt.
    http://www.ttthings.com/gfx/Screen%20shot%202009-09-08%20at%209.24.16%20PM.png
So I got the white box, opened, everything was as expected, except when I go to the system profile, I found out the system had the WRONG hard drive, instead of the 256 SSD, it came with the infamous Seagate 500 7200RPM hard drive.
    WHAAAAAAAA?
So I call them, asking for help, and this is where I'm at right now:
    * They can't send me the MBP I bought (3.06/256ssd), because they don't have it on stock (at the refurb store)
    * They can't give (3.06/500gb7200rpm) me a partial refund because they don't have the computer I currently have in my possession either, so they don't know what's the price tag on this computer, hence, they can't calculate the difference.
    * On top of everything, they say "on their end" it shows the computer I got, IS in fact the computer I was supposed to have (the one with SSD), this coming from the Apple Store Refurb Representative, when we were in a conference call, the Apple Care Representative corrected his colleague saying "I already reviewed the information through the System profiler and you're wrong, he does not have the 256 SSD hard drive" So what, I am now a lier?
    * The only solution the Apple Store supervisor suggested is (Get this) that I review the refurbished product listing daily until I found either the computer I was SUPPOSED to get OR the one that I have right now to a) call and request they send the one with the SSD or b) call and request a refund for the difference. Come on, I feel like I'm on candid camera here.
Does that sound reasonable to you guys? Any input will be appreciated.
I can't believe I'm going through all of this, I mean, it's not like I got it on ebay or craiglist.
Anyway, I'm sharing this so it doesn't happen the same thing to you. Stay away from the refurbished store, it's handled by a different division and they obviously can't even tell the difference between a Hard Drive and a SSD

I had similar issue recently. I went and bought a 17"/4GB/500GB/Antiglare Macbook Pro. If you go on the site, you will notice that all laptops look the same when they in fact are different in appearance. The antiglare 17" MPB have this disgusting silver frame around them which I did not expect when I got the machine. So I called and asked what was going on. It was partly my fault for not going to the store and doing my research first, and party Apple's fault for not having product photos representative of the actual items you're getting. So we agreed to ship the machine back and I ordered a replacement. This time a live person assured me that I would get the "black trimmed" display that I love and even gave me a discount of $150 for the inconvenience. A week later I get the new machine and guess what I got, the same thing with the silver frame. So I was basically in fumes and demanded an explanation. Turns out only the glossy screens have the nice black display, something the guy on the phone apparently didn't know. So I had to compromise and get the glossy and live with the glare. I later discovered a company makes antiglare film you can apply to the screen, so now I have the beautiful all-black display 'with' antiglare. The best of both worlds, so to speak.
So, when buying from the refurb store, keep these things in mind.
    1. Products on the site are not always updated and can be different, so speak to a live person
    2. Apple personnel over the phone are not as knowledgeable as the geniuses in the store
    3. Go to the store and research what you want first
Though I had a somewhat bad experience, the folks at Apple were very flexible. I purchased three machines and returned two, all within 3 weeks, and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. They sent me emails with FedEx shipping labels so shipping them back was free, and I didn't get charged a restocking fee at any point. They also gave me a discount for the inconvenience, which a lot of companies will not do.
juanmateixido, I would ship it back and demand a replacement. You paid almost three grand for a 15' MPB (?) you should get what you want.
    Good luck.

  • Don't EVER BUY HP again the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

$39 dollar to answer a question regarding a product you sell! Mathew employee [text removed for privacy] not only rude and not helpful but actually gave me the wrong number to call for his supervisor. An hour and a half of wasted time at work trying to get a simple question answered. I have never had a problem with Dell customer service or products.  Now my employer knows and will never buy HP again as well. Hopefully by writing this it will save someone the time, energy, and headache. Keep doing business like that HP and you won’t have one.

  • Do you ever buy one person out of a family plan?

I am having major problems with my phone while living in La Crosse. I am originally from Marshfield, and am currently in a contract with Cellcom. Do you ever buy one person out of a family contract??

I am originally from Marshfield, WI (54449) but I am attending college in La Crosse (54601). I have pretty good service, but my phone is constantly roaming because Cellcom, which is my provider, does not have towers in this area. I occasionally don't receive phone calls, and a lot of the time have delayed text messages. Its super frustrating. I am using a samsung galaxy s4. I am currently running off of U.S. Cellular phone towers. I do also know that you guys are the best providers coverage wise for this area here in La Crosse. I just do not really want to have any issues considering the fact that I am away from home. If there is anything you can do for me please let me know!
    Thank you

You can't get it reset; if you could there would be no point in having it. If you have an encrypted backup there are two ways this could have happened:
You checked "Encrypt Backup" in iTunes at some time in the past, either intentionally or by accident
You have a corporate MS Exchange account and your Exchange administrator installed a security profile on your phone that requires the phone'a contents to be encrypted. This, in turn, requires the backup to be encrypted for obvious reasons.
In either case you were prompted for a password the first time you backed up after whichever of these happened. So think about what you might have entered for a password at that time. Fortunately you get an unlimited number of tries. Other threads on this subject have shown that it is always a password known to the user, so it wasn't something made up by iTunes. Also, everyone who has figured it out has found it to be a different password type, so try your Apple ID password, your computer's login password, your WiFi password, your corporate domain password, etc. And try passwords that may have been changed since your first backup. As a last resort there is a professional password cracker available, but it isn't cheap - it's targeted at the law enforcement market - from Elcomsoft. There are also some scam password crackers available that don't actually work and possibly steal your information. It's likely that a developer of one or more of these will post a response with a link (possibly hidden) to their "product". So before clicking any links you might want to install the Web of Trust plugin that keeps track of scam sites and warns you. http://www.mywot.com.

  • My ipad mini says to connect to itunes, and I try to restore it, but after its done extracting a message comes up saying that device is not found, is there anyway i can fix this? I don't care if i don't get my stuff back

My iPad mini says to connect to iTunes, and I try to restore it, but after its done extracting a message comes up saying that device is not found, is there anyway i can fix this? I don't care if i don't get my stuff back, i just want my iPad restored to its starting settings.

If everything else that you try fails, I would try using another computer. Since you don't care about saving any data, any computer that is running the latest version of iTunes might be able to restore the iPad. You could make an appointment at an Apple Store Genius Bar and they can do it for you.
If that isn't feasible for you, try using a different cable, a different USB port. reboot the computer, and reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Then try again.

My Mac has stopped playing you tube asking me to update flash player trouble is it is asking me for a password and I don't ever recall setting a password for this mac …!!!!

When the Mac was setup you had to create an administrative password.and account.  Yo have to sign into that account to install apps/plug-ins like Flash. To reset that password.

  • I need to log on as administrator, I don't ever remember creating a Firefox admin password, How can I get logged in as an administrator?

I am using Firefox 3.6. I need to log on as an administrator. I don't ever remember creating an administrator account or password for Firefox. What can I do so that I can either find my current administrator password or create a new password and/or administrator account?

You are probably being asked to use a Windows XP admin account.
You need to log into your XP Operating Sytem as an admin level user.
If you use Ctrl + Alt + Del twice from the logon screen you will be offered a choice of user account and password.
The 'Administrator' account itself is not normally seen when logging on.
XP probably sets up the Administrator account with a null default password so enter the name 'Administrator' and then put the cursor in the password fields and hit the return key.
It is always a good idea to actually enter and use a password, it is also a good idea to create a password reset floppy.
If you have any account that already has administrator priveliges that may be uses to change passwords and account names.
If all else fails a clean reinstall of the OS will probably get you in as an administrator.

Should I care about HD versus SD when buying a new camcorder? I coach track, and need a good optical zoom and want to keep my budget around $300-400. Should I care about HD? Suggested camcorders?

imho, there is no more reason to decide for SDef.

  • Babysitter said don't ever remember passwords for websites we often use

My wife and I have for 3 1/2 years enjoyed sharing one user admin account on iMac without problem. This week the babysitter, before I got to create a user account for her, used our account to access her own hotmail and facebook pages as well as some others. the only thing is that she said don't ever remember passwords for the sites.
It's not a major issue, but is there some way to reset the password permissions in Safari? Do I just delete the cookies or do I have to somehow restore/reset Safari?
Any help on this issue would be good. Thanks for your time.
P.s - We have now created an account for guest users, including the babysitter.

HI and Welcome to Apple Discussions...
*"the only thing is that she said don't ever remember passwords for the sites."*
It would be much easier to go to both MSN/Hotmail and Facebook sites. Where you sign in and type in a username, there should be a link to click that says: Forgot your password?
If for some reason you can't do it that way, open the Keychain Access application.
    (Application/Utilities).
Under Keychains on the left, select "login". Under category select Passwords.
    Select: login Facebook
At the bottom of the window click the i
(Just to the right of the + ) Select the Attributes tab. Select where you see; Show password.

Need to Resume download to complete the ongoing Process.
Last Resort, put the iPhone in DFU mode (Google How to do that). Connect in iTunes. Follow on-screen prompts to Restore. All Data would be lost, if not backed up earlier.
To save the photographs you may have to use third party software. Google is your friend.

iMacs take generic power cords. If it fits into the back of the iMac and an electrical socket, it'll work.
