Nokia collection

I'd like to ask nokia experts to explain conditions that have to be met for appearing Nokia Collection section in marketplace. I'm using Lumia 800 for near 2 months, but this section was not accessible till now. I´ve tried phone reset several times, tried to play with regional settings (as Nokia call center support staff advised), nothing helped. I didn't found any reasonable solution for this. The only thing, which helped, was phone reset + Live ID region change to US (btw: another nice piece of pearl, this time from MS), but this combination brought another problems and in my opinion could not be considered as solution. I'm already quite frustrated - for example it would be nice to have possibility to upgrade Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive to newest versions.

I'm not sure what is meant by "Live ID from a supported Market Region". The fact is, marketplace website for Slovakia (and couple of other countries) is not running yet (!), but from phone I'm able to download & install apps/games from marketplace. Colleague of mine has bought Lumia 800 several days after I did and also registered with Slovak Live ID. He had (although now he hasn't) Nokia Collection in marketplace and updated Nokia apps without problems, so that it appears not to be a problem of "market region". Besides there is a promo on Nokia Slovakia website for newest versions of Nokia apps. In addition I consulted this with call center and they confirmed, it should be accessible, but were not able to provide solution (well, the last advice was to ask for flashing new fw in authorized service center, grr).

  • Nokia collection not available!

    Hi,
Since yesterday evening the Nokia Collection again disappeared from Marketplace. I did no change on the phone nor on my LiveID. Everything is set to Slovakia.
What the hell is going on with this service?? Once it's there and available, later not available at all, sometimes visible but gives error!.
Please do not tell my to reset the phone! I did not change anything, so I will not reset the phone and start from 0 every time there is a bug from Nokia.
    Thanks
    Erik

I'm facing exactly the same problem and afaik, this is common when using SVK Live ID. I tried to consult it with support call centre, but the only thing they were able to advice was factory reset and Live ID region change eventually. IMHO this is not a solution.

  • Remove WeatherChannel from Nokia collection! It ha...

I've never seen an app were every update get progressivley worse.  The latest one has obnoxious ads on it that look like an android with a virus.  It's complete trash now.
Nokia, consider removing it from the collection!  It tarneshes Nokia's image to be associated with such an ameture app.

My device is a Lumia 1520.  I did consider uninstalling it but not reinstalling it  It's a problem with the app, not my installation of it.
After what Weather Channel did to the app I just didn't think it was up to Nokia's standards.  Just check the app reviews for the past month.

  • Twitter for Nokia collecting logs?

Whenever I launch the application on my C3-01, a file called client_log.txt is created in the menu-gallery-images folder. My phone is updated to latest firmware, application is also updated to latest version & I've also done *#7370# &  *#7780# resets. No other application shows this anomaly. Is this an issue with the application?
Please mark the post as solution if it solves your problem.
Current Device - Nokia Lumia 1020/920

I have tried to reinstall my software. And I tried to download twitter for s40 again, but the result is nothing. It's still same like before.. 'Conflicting Applications. Show items?' Are there any version of twitter s40? Thank you.

    Hi,
    Welcome to the forum!
What phone model are you using? Though you may try to reset the settings to their original values. Note that your files won't be deleted. So, it is safe to do this. On your phone, go to Settings > Restore factore settings > Settings only > Enter the security code. The default code is 12345 unless you changed it.
Another option is to uninstall and re-install the application and then check if it works for you. If it's still the same, try to update the phone's software using the Nokia Suite (if it's supported) or your phone itself.

    Hi therkelaj,
    Thanks for posting and welcome!
If you do not (yet) see the apps in Marketplace you can use a QR code to find them.
Press the Search button on your Lumia phone and then tap Vision
Scan the barcode by pointing your phone at it. You can scan all three in sequence or one at a time.
Tap on the link when it appears on your phone (Need help scanning?)
Install the application from the Windows Phone Marketplace
If this option is not available to you download the app Esponce QR Reader or QR Code Reader as an alternative.
    Camera Extras                                   PlayTo

  • Nokia/Lumia Collection

    Hello,
I am interested in the up coming Lumia 920.  One of the big advantages of the Lumia line versus other OEMs is the selection of apps exclusively available to Lumia owners.  As a prospective buyer, I would like to see what apps are available exclusively for Lumia phones.  Is there an updated list somewhere on the site that lists ALL apps available in the Nokia Collection?
    Thanks!

    IMPORTANT NOTES:
It can take up to 24 hours  (or sometimes even more) before the app will be visible in the WP Marketplace.
Devices in some markets may need to be running the very latest software before the app is visible in Marketplace. Existing devices began updating June 20 2012 in the first countries, new devices being produced already have the latest version
Shortly after launch, it is hoped that the app will also appear as part of the Nokia Collection in Marketplace.
We have forwarded a question on availability for Canada and India and will share any information we can as we receive it in this thread.
    Hope this helps,
    Kosh
This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Canada still can't get it? Why does the US have access but not Canada. Can we expect it or is there another 3 month delay? Unbelievable that on day one I paid over $500 to buy this phone unlocked in Canada and still cannot use the most basic features like MMS. This is pathetic. Blackberry is better than this and they're barely alive

  • Nokia 220 (Nokia OS)

    Hi guys ,
I finally got my hands on a Nokia 220 (which makes a good add-on to the rest of my Nokia collection). Although I do like the phone, I came accross some strange features, first of all, I noticed that I can add more then just one phonenumber to a contact stored in the phones main memory (I mean, my old Nokia 1280 can handle even more then that), secondly, what is up with this Y! Messenger (no offence to those who use it), I though Nokia is now from Microsoft, how come this Y! Messenger is installed on to it, why not, Facebook Chat, Line or Whatsapp and speaking of the last, there is also no Store app on the phone. OK, it is a cheap feature phone, I get that, but even downloading anything for it is impossible. Please Nokia team, explain this to me? Why come with a phone on the market which is awesome like any Nokia has been (hardware wise) but has nothing to offer, software wise? The "old" Nokia Asha 206 is equal, yet has more to offer. One more thing, I manage to finally get my hands on a Nokia X, now.. I have some Lumias and all, but the Nokia X is awesome, it's so darn fast and the battery really is awesome. Now, that is what i call a real Nokia (and yes, more then enough apps for the X). But please. I moved from The Netherlands to Singapore, OMG, what a mess is it here with mobile phones, iPhone and Smasung Galaxy's rule the nation. Nokia, if you want to make some more ground here, come out with the phones SOONNNEEERRRRR, the better :-D
    With warm regards,

The Nokia 220 runs on Nokia OS (Series 30) which is obviously designated to be part of the "next-billion" project. This is a feature phone that is packed with functions enough for those who are having their first internet capable phone. For those who already own a high-end smartphone, this can serve as their secondary phone. Nothing fancy, but still functional.
If you want more of apps, Nokia made the X's and Lumia's for that.

  • Nokia lumia 820 music

Hello, I have just bought my Nokia Lumia 820 and updated it to Amber but I can't see the Nokia Music. All I have been using is the Xbox Music. Kindly assist, its really frustrating.

    Hi taitangetich,
Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
Nokia Music can be downloaded through the 'Store'. You may go to the 'Nokia Collections' and look for the said app. You may also download the Nokia Music app here: http://www.nokia.com/global/featured-apps/. Just go to the Bing Search on your phone > tap on the scanner (eye icon) > tap on the QR code on your computer.
    Let us know the outcome.

  • Nokia Transport Failed

Not installing on my phone....  even from UK.. really Nokia??? don't announce it even in beta if you can't even get this right...
    Application not available
This might be because your phone software needs to be updated, the application is exclusive to a different mobile provider or the app is not available in your region..
Really??? I just updated to 8107 build. and am on vodafone... thanks... I didn't know there's a discriminatory practice here...
Don't announce it if you can't get it right..

Sorry for the trouble in finding the Nokia Transport application at Marketplace. The app will soon be added in the Nokia collection at marketplace after which it should be easier to find. Until that, If you have trouble finding Nokia Transport (or Nokia Transit in US), you can open the Nokia collection and then e.g. Nokia Maps and tap the link more from Nokia Corporation. Nokia Transport should be available in this list.
For more details of Nokia Transport, you can check the web page below:
    http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/support/product/nokia-transport/
On the above page you'll find also a link to the FAQ listing the cities where Nokia Transport can currently be used.

  • Nokia lumia 610 mms

I have a Nokia lumia 610 and since having it for a month I was unable to use my data I pay for on contract. Also am unable to send or recieve mms messages. I found the network support and did that. My internet is now working but my mms will still not send or recieve. It just says get media content. Then getting media content. Then goes back to the same etc..

    Hi eflower
Thank you for posting and welcome to Nokia forum!
Mobile network settings let you control the cellular data connection for your phone. An Access Point Name (APN) is the address your phone uses to connect the internet through your operator network. On the first startup Internet and MMS settings are read from the SIM if available.
     Try doing this step:
If you don't already have Network Setup application, download and install the Network Setup application which can be found in the Nokia Collection on Marketplace. Start the application and select your local carrier to setup Internet and MMS settings.

I am trying to use Nokia Transit in the US on the Lumia 900.  No matter what i input as my destination, the app tells me "There is no Complete Route Available". Hi all,
Apologies for the inconvenience you have received from the Nokia Transit issue.
I will raise this issue for you and when I get an answer, you will see it on this thread. But for the time being, have you tried a reset on the phone to see if it was a install problem with Nokia Transit?
Also, it may be worth to reinstall Nokia Transit by removing then visiting the Microsoft Marketplace. Start Marketplace in your phone and browse in Nokia collection or search for Nokia Transport (Nokia Transit in US).
Thank you for your post and lets hope we get can get this solved for you.

  • Lumia 820. :Counters App is missing from Nokia Col...

    Hello
Recently i migrated from lumia 800 to 820. its a great phone however i am able to find counters app under nokia collections.
Whats the matter?? is that app not available for windows 8 devices??
    Please help me. i really Need this app;

    hello
this is the third forum, where all the responsible companies only say i am not the one who has to care for it. you have to wait for another one.
there are a good tools to do the job on windows phone 8, but nobody says to the paying customer that it is not working, or only for a few people all over the world who are lucky and can use the right provider.
there is a problem on data sense and a problem on visual voicemail too. on windows phone support, there is only a note that it is not available for ALL operators, but not for which.
and for sure, telekom is not ALL operators, it is a big one. but nothing is working in germany. and it is not better for using vodafone or any other provider.
always the same song. the user is the last one the companies do care about. why is it not possible for nokia, microsoft and telekom to come together and develop the missing features for the users.
please consider that the users are that peaople who pay for it.
