Nokia CS-15 and Windows 7 64bit driver

Hi
I've bought recently new notebook with Win7 64bit and Nokia CS-15.
After that I realized that CS-15 is currently not supporting Win 7 64bit.
So it cause my question if Nokia have plans to introduce such a dirivers and possibly when?
If someone aware please inform me if there is no plans for such a driver.

Help Please,
I have win 7 64 bit and nokia cs15, it was working fine for 4 months and now 2 days ago, when i was online it just stopped working, it does work on vista, but I want it to work on my win 7 64 bit computer.
I tried everything, the nokia cs 15 already has new software and firmware updated, I did it 4 months ago, that is how it was working for 4 months at first place.
Now I insert the modem and win 7 does not recognise it and it is not showing in usb plugged devices in device manager.
In vista and it recognises it and trying to install the software (as it does not have DNA software on vista) so after installing software and VISTA detects it and shows it as nokia modem plugged in USB device in device manager and it actually works and i can go online,
BUT when I try to UPDATE FIRMWARE, (on vista computer) the process says, insert Nokia cs 15 modem thought it is inserted and computer detects it and showing, the firmware update does not happen on vista either (i am not sure why, but i think it is already updated firmware 4 months ago? )
but either way, how can I make it work? because vista is my desktop and I need this for my laptop traveeling which is win 7 64 bit
Please help Please, it is been 2 days and I can not do my work.

Nokia Software Update and Windows 7 Home Premium 6...

I cannot get this application to run - it goes nowhere on start-up. I have disabled both router firewall and Windows 7 firewall and still no luck. I have also tried instructions for task manager on the FAQS section of the website, and stopped background running.
I have a Nokia 6303i Classic, connected via USB and the latest driver.
I have installed latest version of Ovi Suite 2.2.0.245 and tried updating from there, and this does not work. It does sometimes get to the point of saying that I have Frimware 6.40 on the phone and need to update to firmware 7.10.
I have also tried latest version of PC Suite 7 and this starts Software Updater, which does not work anyway.
I have turned Game Mode on for BitDefender Antivirus 2010, and still no joy!

Go to manage games on BitDefender and add Nokia Ovi Suite. That worked for me. Also, are you in direct connection to the internet or are you accessing it via a server in a LAN network? Ovi Suite does not currently support those kinds of connections and you need to be in direct connection to the internet.

Windows 64bit driver - why the silence?

I'm so dissapointed... My girlfriend gave me a gorgeous new ipod touch for Christmas and guess what, no 64 bit drivers. It's not like Windsows 64bit is a new operating system, it's been around for over 2 years! Why should I downgrade and have to buy a 32bit operating system?
To be honest I'm now furious with Apple. I've called them and when you ask when support will be given they 'don't know'! From what I can read this has been going on for 6 months. What do you have to do to get a straight answer from them? Why don't they issue a staement?
I see that they've been hurridly updating product compatability information online to apease the situation and balme it on itunes but itunes isn't the problem - i works fine. From what I can tell, it's that they never released a 64bit driver for the ipod touch or iphone. There's no mention of the lack of compatibility on the packaging or web shops, aren't there something about trade desciption laws? But Apple probably know that they won't have a massive returns problem as we all want iphones and ipod touches so much that we'll wait or find workarounds which is what I'm now spendning my holiday doing. It's a disgrace.

Sorry to say that i didnt get a word that you said.
I assume you have upgraded to windows 7 and are unable to use or install nokia pc suite.
First of all it aint nokia's fault that windows 7 came after they had uploaded the setup.
All you need to do is download the pc suite to you computer or laptop or whatever it is ... then right click on the setup and click compatibility mode nd just keep pressing next next next.
Im sure your pc suite will be installed then and you will be able to use your computer to transfer everything to and from the phone..
Have fun and lemme know if it worked.

Hi, I have windows 7 and just got a printer - lexmark x5495
unfortunately Windows cant find the right driver 4 the printer via windows update...
I have downloaded driver for win 7 32, 64 bit, windows vista even windows xp and non of them is good!!! :(
I was looking all over google for somebody to solve that problem and nothing!
on the lexmark and windows websites it says printer is compatible but must be something wrong with driver
btw it works 100% under win xp and it is not any printer spool problem...

Could you be more specific when you mention none of the drivers is good? Is there any exclamation mark in device manager for the printer? And what makes you think the problem lies with the drivers and not the printer itself or the way you setup the drivers?
Suggest you to uninstall the printer drivers from device manager, next reboot your pc and ensure the printer is power on and plug in, next let windows 7 detect and assign drivers by itself instead of using the drivers downloaded.
If still no go after the above, run the drivers in xp or vista compatble mode under windows 7

Nokia PC Suite and Windows 7

I have upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 and my Nokia E51 will no longer sync with Outlook 2007. Does anyone know how to get round this problem? Is Nokia planning on a Windows 7 PC Suite release any time soon?

This is based on the Beta version of Windows 7 so is slightly different but the approach is the same!
It now works :-)

Nokia Booklet 3G and Windows 8

Hi everybody!
I've been reading this forum for a long time. I've already had two Booklets. First was the US version (beginning of 2010) and now I've been using another one, this time bought in EU.
I know it's slow but still it offers the combination of features that I really like so I hope I'll be able to use it for some more time.
Recently I've decided to try new release of Windows 8 Consumer Preview. Installed it without problems and have been running it for last couple of days.
There's one thing missing though and that's the thing I really liked and used a lot before - the fn+F10 key functionality. I've installed the "Nokia_Booklet3G_HotKey" before all other software, I've tried various combinations. No success. I can only use fn+F10 to turn on and off BT+3G+WiFi all together.
Here's why I decided to ask the Nokia Booklet 3G community for help and advice. Might be someone else tried to use Windows 8 and found a solution?

Dell Audigy 2 and Windows SP3 driver and static problems

Ok, Creative you and Dell have left us customer behind and giving us the shaft.
I know you tell us to go to Dell to get drivers, and Dell still has the same driver posted they had when i bought my PC in 2003.
Funny thing is that the only driver i find that work without the static problem is the one from the creative CD from 2003. The only catch is that none of the other sound Apps will install or work with windows SP3. So you end up with a card that has sound without static but only in two speaker mode, no mixer, EAX, CSMM, sound bank, etc... you know all the other stuff.
I have installed Danial K driver at one time and they worked good for months then the static came back one day. Now after a fresh install of windows with SP3 i end up here with only the old driver working with just two speakers.
This is very sad that a big company like creative can not create a driver that works with current software. You need to fire all your programmer and go hire two with all the money you paid everyone else and maybe then these two top programmer might be able to make something that works. This has become a joke in the sound industry.
It was said that this ship is sinking, i think it has sunk at this point, us rats are jumping ship to some other card that works. Most likey it is not going to be from creative.

HP LaserjetPro M277dw printer and windows vista driver installation issues

I ust got the hot off the press HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277 which seems to be a miraculous machine. Just one problem. When trying to download and install the printer driver it goes through the whole process and then tells you the driver will not work with this operating system.
Hmmm. It says on the HP website that this is the correct software for this machine. I have been through at least 10 HP support people up to Level 3 support and hours of online work with HP people trying to install the software. The word I get back is that it will not work with my machine. So I am wondering if I have a Windows Vista 64 bit machine, and the software says it is for that machine, but it wont load, what machine will it work with? The last person I worked with just told me I will need to get a new computer. I thought I just bought a printer that would work with my computer, and now I am told i have to buy a new one?
Any ideas on how to get the software to load? I have some functionality, such as wireless network printing that one technician was able to get to work, but no scanning. Another technician changed all the permissions for installing various programming segments to "everyone" but that didnt work either. He had it so messed up that the it would not print anymore wirelessly either. I had to restore to an earlier date after that guy got off my computer so i could at least get some functionality back.
So, without the driver, I cannot scan to this computer, and i really dont know what other good things i am missing out on because I have never experienced the correct configuration......please help if you can. I need to send the machine back within a certain time period, and I really do think it is the solution for my business, if I could get it to work......Thanks!
PS Direct connection to computer and downloading software that way does't work either.....cannot use the printer directly connected.....

Second thing. I never saw Your comment or help on any BSOD problem and even never found Your help with 3D DriverGuard BSOD report that You are talking about.
Third. If we will never tried drivers from other models then other users will never downgrade to XP or have a sound on other models even Win7.
If You are having so big knowledge start doing something because everone can write Your comments which gives NOTHING. Many people are installing this file on this forum and notebook review and haven't got any problems.....

Windows 7 and Windows 2008 drive mappings won't work

Hi, I'm trying to map a network drive using the group policy preferences. I can map drive no problem when i'm using static paths such as '\\servername\sharedfolder'. However i am unable to map drives to Windows 7 or Windows 2008R2 boxes when i use variables,
such as \\Servername\c$\users\%username% This works fine on XP clients, after some googling i discovered hitting F3 would give me a list of usable variables so i tried %logonUser% or \\servername\c$\users\%logonuser% this also fails to map the drive on Windows
7 or 2008R2. The preferences are set to show all drives and i have ticked the box to run under the users security context. If i look in the event log I am getting the following error
Event id - 4098
Source: - Group Policy Drive Maps
The user 'Y:' preference item in the 'test {21D9AF2B-8139-44EC-B8AA-E20802A51293}' Group Policy object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80070037 The specified network resource or device is no longer available.' This error was suppressed.
This happens if i try to use any enviromental variables to map drives to 2008R2 servers or Windows7 Clients. Does anyone know how to solve this surely i must be able to map drives to Windows 7 machines via group policy using variables it would seem like madness
if its not possible.

Nokia PC suite and Windows Vista business

Has anybody tried installing PC suite on Vista business. One of my friend claims he is unable to sync his E90 with his laptop.
Here's what he mailed me
"• The installation gets completed and does not get completed at the last stage when there is a message that installation is completed successfully .
• after pressing OK button next window pops up as follow.
• welcome to get connected wizard which says please have your mobile phone and connectivity accessories at hand and click next , after conecting phone suddenly a message comes up saying that thereis no available connection type therefore the connection to the phone can not be established. the wizard will exit , I have to press okay as thereis no other button available, once I press okay the whole window disappears ."

I was able to fix my problem by completely uninstalling PC Suite and artifacts of its install using the PC Suite Cleaner app (Extras in the software section)
To Nokia:
It appears that when i chose to 'never show this window again' when the Get Connected wizard first starts up, that in subsequent attempts to Get Connected, some mission-critical initialization and discovery failed to occur.
I'd surmise that this was a registry key change, but as a user I should be able to un-do this action, to be able to see this Wizard start-up page again.

Exernal Drive and Windows shared drive

Wow! I guess Leopard wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Since upgrading, I no longer have access to my shared drive on my windows desktop, nor do I have access to my Airport connected external USB drive. Although my finder shows both drives, when I attempt to access them, it just says connecting. Any help will be appreciated.
My Config,
MBP running Leopard connected wirelessly
Airport Extreme
XP Desktop with 2 shared drives plugged into 10/100 APE
Mybook 350 connected to APE via USB 2.0

Is this an NTFS drive? If so I think you have an issue with its security settings. Pull up the properties of the drive and click on the security tab and look at who can do what - I expect you will see "names" relating to your old laptop. I would suggest a google for "NTFS external drive permissions" and I would expect you will find some step by step guides to sort it.
