Nokia Dual Sim system

hi,
looking to exchange my 2 2730 Classic phones for 1 Nokia 206 Dual SIM. I've tried to find answers on how dual sim system works (all I got was few words on Easy Swap).
Can someone explain briefly how does the system of 2 SIMs work in this phone? eg. are both active at all times?
example: will I be reachable on both numbers at the same time and then when someone calls me on one number will that suspend the second number during the duration of call?
Or if I'm surfing the web using mobile internet on one SIM, would I be able to receive phone call to the secondary SIM? (with the internet being cut off for the time being of course?

206 is dual sim with dual standby, it works just fine even when you use internet. Yes for all your questions.
In my opinion,
I think your idea of selling two 2730 3G phones for single 206 is not a good idea.
Checkout asha dual sim full touch, they do have easy swap dual sim feature with that there will be no need of turning off phone to change sim.

i don't agree with what you say, that there's no reason for "big" companies to invest in dual sim's... the growing number of people having a private and a professional phones justifies that!

I have a nokia dual sims phone, with a rogers card...

i live in ny, but when i went to canada it says no service, and in the states its saying no service....what am i doing wrong... i couldn't even put minutes on in in montreal, with a voucher. i was suppose to get free minutes with the card, but that never happened either....i go to networking and they can't find one..i have a canadian phone number and address on the phone, so i should have been able to use it in montreal.

Can I ask what model is the phone and where was it purchased?
My first guess is that it's a non-US model
The US & Canada is on 1900 & 850 GSM bands, whereas India (where most Nokia dual SIM phones are sold) is 900 & 1800.
Therefore it might be that the handset is not configurated for North America.

Why nokia didn't launch its own dual sim model, although nokia is a 100% mobile ONLY company (unlike others who did launch dual sim model like Samsung)

Can I expect A nokia Dual Sim 3G Phone in recent.

I Just bought a Nokia 130 dual sim phone. I have more than 650 contacts in my old phone which allows these to be exported via bluetooth in a .vcf format. However, Nokia 130 only recognises the first contact. I then miserably tried importing the data to outlook and then creating a .csv file. Still I'm unable to get the contacts in to the phone.
Copying from SIM is really cumbersome. NOKIA... PLEASE HELP.

@Buoy your phone is based on the operating system Series 30+ (MediaTek) which was introduced in November 2013. Because of that, the phone models Nokia 220 and Nokia 225 behave in similar ways. Therefore, does this help?

Nokia 301 Dual SIM flash file or flash theme

Hi nokia,
from bangladesh. Few days ago i bought nokia 301 dual sim phone. Software version was 2.33 after update it now 9.04. My problem below:
1.It is unable to support flash file or flash theme. The home screen is blank when apply. Flash file is not open. It looks "file not support". But my privious phone(c2-01) it was supported. Please help me to suppopt flash theme or file.
2. Youtube video loading only 60% then looks "no response".

Sounds like your file system gets corrupted each time you update WhatsApp. Did you update WhatsApp manually already? If that shows the same behaviour, I would send in that phone because the cause could be hardware related (broken flash memory).

Urgent help with Nokia 208 Dual SIM

I have a new Nokia 208 Dual SIM type RM-949 (English & Chinees).
I wish to install Hebrew on it but I can't find an appropriate firmware.
Does anyone knows if there's such version around the net?
Can I install the RM-948 instead? Will it support the Dual SIM function?
Is there an RM-956 version with Hebrew and if yes, can it be installed on this model (RM-949)???
Please help.............. I'm stuck........

The Dual-SIM version was specifically made for specific regions mainly for developing markets (esp in Asia-Pacific). Hence, language packs available are limited or made available only to those countries.

Connectivity Issue in nokia lumia 730 dual sim

I am facing a problem from last couple of days. My phone failed to retrieve data connection while I am turning it on after I switched it off for several hours. I need to do a reboot or sim change every time to get it. Please help me in this issue.

Sim 02 apn disappears in nokia lumia 630 dual sim

I have Nokia Lumia 630 Dual Sim. I purchased in Sept 2014.
Right Now I have two sim cards. Sim 01 : BSNL and Sim 02 : Tata Docomo (microsim)
I can access Sim 01 internet only. Whenever I want to use Sim 02.
I type APN address in APN Text box "TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET" then add IP type in text box "IPv4"
and save. It disappears when I back to confirm in add Internet APN. This happens only with Sim 02.
I have tried so much time finaly i called to Nokia care. Executive told me to simple shut down process holding down volume minus and off button for 10 to 15 seconds and restart mobile. but all in vein.

Is this related? There is a software bug, until this is fixed, you can have a custom APN for one SIM only. Therefore, did you create a custom APN for both SIM? Do you really need that? BSNL and Tata DOCOMO are not offered as ‘profile’?
