Please i want to know if there is any problem with this firmware v042.014. Just got available in Nigeria today. And i don't want to update to a firmware that has issues because it is not downgradable. Thank you in advance.

I have bought in May 2010 e52 direct by Nokia Online Shop. This phone has firmware 033.002, product code 0596263, lang. set 02.01.
I have seen that already exists firmware 051.014, but software update programm says to me, that no firmware updates are available. Where and when I can get it?
PS. between 033.002 and 051.014 firmwares also exist another ver. 034.001, but software update programm also said, that no any updates are available. why?

Same problem here with the same product code. AFAIK, this is a general product code which does not belong to E52-variants by a specific provider.
Therefore it's rather strange that this product code was not included into the last two updates.
I am still stuck to v033.002 with my E52 product code 0596263.

Nokia N97 mini firmware

First of all I would like to excuse me for my bad English as I am from Latvia!
Recently I have bought a new Nokia N97 mini. I have backed up everything and written down all the name of software that I afterwards uninstalled as I thought that it would be better for firmware update process. My goal was to update the phone to the newest firmware for my phone, however I got into problems with all the versions available.
So this is the information on my mobile phone:
Software version: v 11.0.102
Software version date: 01-02-2010
Custom version: 11.0.102.C01.01
Custom version date: 01-02-2010
Language set: 13
Model: N97 mini
Type: RM-555
Latest update: Not updated

When I use Nokia Software Updater in my PC (MS Win 7) I got informed about that that the latest possible version is already installed.
When I use Nokia web site using my telephone code written under the battery I got informed that latest available software for my device is: 10.0.020, however in phone there is version 11.0.102.C01.01 installed.
When I was looking for the latest software release for Nokia N97 Mini it was 12.0.110, however there was mentioned that it is only for certain devices.
So the question is if the latest firmware (12.0.110) version custom package is available for my device. If it is possible that there in my device there is a newer custom version (11.0.102.C01.01) installed than my Nokia N97 mini device support (10.0.020) than it should be possible that there is some newer custom firmware (12.0.110) available for my phone.

So where can I obtain it? And speaking generally were (exact internet address of FTP or HTTP protocol handled server, with login information, if needed) all Nokia N97 mini firmware`s could be found? I would even try to install non-customized version 12.0.110 of it on my phone. Maybe I don`t even need any custom version and all Nokia N97 mini devices can handle any Nokia N97 mini firmware?

I can clearly live without Latvian language and as it is well known that there is no special or no at all services or applications for Latvia region that I could miss. I would better use United Kingdom apps and turn off some really unnecessary services or news.
I would`t reply if there were nothing at all from Latvia in phone. I just need to get it work faster and with less problems form software side. I could use any Nokia N97 mini update version that doesn`t have "Comes with music" services and apps as I don`t have license to it.

Nokia C3-00 Firmware Updating issue

I am trying to update my Nokia C3 from V 4.45 to V 7.20 through nokia software updater. After 10 min remaining timer shown, I get an error message "Software update failed. For optimum connectivity, your USB cable should be...". I tried updating on desktop and laptop too but it gives me same error. Any idea how to resolve this issue?

Hello nokia, i am very much dissapointed by updating my nokia C3-00 firmware version from v4.65 to v07.20. In previous update of v4.65(which was my first update) everything was working great, but now after updating to v07.20 it shows so many bugs. Even the apps don't run at all, and displays 'application error' all the time. Bottom line - I request to nokia software engineers to take some sudden action and please provide us ( nokia lovers and believers) a new bugs free firmware for c3-00 as soon as possible. Thanks

The bugs of N95-1 firmware v.20.0.015:
(Software bugs)
1. After many times connect and disconnect jack 3.5 stereo cable or media cable a phone hangs or restart.
2. If run music player and call update library & switch to main menu, the music player hangs & close it's self after few seconds. After this hangs & self close no one music track can't be play. ( It's fixed after restart phone ).
3. Put to SD card to Music folder few files. Run the music player & update library - we have add new tracks to library. Exit from music player, remove music files that has been add to SD and run the music player again. Update library again - result 0 files add (it's right), but files that has been removed still in media library and do ways for clear library!
4. Turn the camera ring for run camera applicatio. The Camera application has runed. Make one foto using button on phone body. After shot we see the foto preview. Don't close application and turn back the camera ring - must be close camera application and preview - but preview has closed but camera application still runing and we see black screen ( because camera lense has closed).
( may be present any other bugs - i think bugs on N95-1 more that i print...)
IT's EXPECT NEW FIRMARE VERSION FOR N95-1 THEN WILL BE FIXED ALL!!!
And again about Hardware!
I state in Russia in Saint-Petersburg - it's big sity ( second after Moscow), but i run the GPS maps application or GPS-data, or Google Maps, & GPS receiver very poor take the satelites signals! I try run it's in difference locations & on open landscape & in vilage & on hi levels houses - but GPS try connection and get satelites information more that 30minutes and one or two times applications will taked information about one or two satelites no more ( on test positions has been connection to EDGE with 3G support and turn on A-GPS ) !!!
THAT's THIS??? NOKIA YOU MUST RESPONCE FOR YOU PRODUCTS AND THEN YOU APPROVE ABOUT THAT N95 CAN USING GPS NAVIGATION!!!
Also too very slow N95-1 work with SD card and other memory stores!!! It's very poor for Smartphone!!! No one devices not have so very poor transfer with memory store!!!

I was just checking for the new firmware for Nokia 6680,
via Nokia Software Updater. And I was surprise to find there are
new updates. Then I upgrade my 6680 from v5.04.07 to v5.04.40.
After upgrade, I notice that there are some difficulties in making & receiving calls, and sending SMS. I'm staying in Malaysia and using Celcom 3G. I refer the provider on this matter, and they said their network is ok.
Could it be the upgrades?
What are the changelog for v5.04.40

Yeah, that's what I thought. An upgrade is suppose to improve the use. Unless, the new firmware has a tiny bug, or it's an unofficial release. I looked up in the Internet, so far, no info about the new firmware.
Can Nokia release an unofficial firmware?

Nokia 5130c-2 Firmware Problem (V 07.97)

Hi there! I've recently updated my Nokia 5130c-2 Firmware version from V 06.94 (21-07-09) to V 07.97 (13-09-10) and I found some problems after I updated my handphone's firmware. The problem includes:
» Delay in opening music player
» Delay / Slow media playback time
» No screensaver option / setting
» Enter web page manually in Web section is disabled
» Screen went white blank suddenly
» Connection to cellular / GPRS network automatically disconnected
Notes: It's still in the same condition when I downgrade it to the previous firmware. So, there's no changes made to the system, features and settings during the downgrade. It's still the same as firmware V 07.97!
Please solve this problem for me as soon as possible because it starts to annoy me! If there's a latest firmware to be / has released, kindly inform me. I just need to resolve all the problems in my handphone to make its system as smooth as possible and get back its features.

It may be a 'just' for a Nokia Serivce Centre to do that.
But for an end user it involves some steps that will invalidate your warranty and are definatley not supported

Software updates are phased in due to large numbers of regional, national and operator variants, it is not the case that any individual country is left behind.
Generic devices for each region are always first, followed by their equivelants for individual countries which may have differences specific to the local market. Network variant models may be awaiting the approval of the networks concerned before Nokia can release them.

My Nokia has the latest firmware V 07.60.
But it happens that some lose the signal and reboots itself.
The phone memory is empty.

Reasons why a phone cannot update:
1. It is a country variant - country variants often get the updates later, or have updates skipped altogether. A Turkish country variant product code for example, skipped v40 and updated from v31 straight to v50.
2. It is network branded - phones acquired from network providers or these providers' stores SIM free are branded, and will not get updates until the networks approve and modify the updates to their liking.
3. Special editions - These special editions are chartered editions and may never get updates unless taken to a Nokia Care center.
