Nokia E6 in belgium
hi there,
Does anyone know if the Nokia E6 is still available in Belgium, if yes, does anyone know a store where I can buy it?!
Thanks in advance
Thanks guys for the very quick responses!
My apolagies for my own late answer !
I had contact with 2 major compagnies (1 specialized in online sale), and both removed the phone from there catalogue..
About 2 months ago (maybe just 1) they all had de phone in discount and now there just gone. (don't think they sold them al!)
So yeah, I think I'll have to contact Nokia Belgium directly..

Open letter to Nokia Messaging dev team: imap idle...
Hi,
I would like to ask the developers of Nokia Messaging if they are aware of the fact themailclient in the E72 isn't supporting Imap IDLE anymore.
Before, in the E71 for example, there was indeed a timesetting in the native client BUT this was used when the client got disconnected. for example:client connected > phonecall arrives, client disconnects > phonecall ends > client connects after 5 minutes (or any other timespan accoridng to the settings) and STAYS connected.
Nokia Messaging: if you set it up at 5 minutes it checks every 5 minutes for mail. This is NOT 'idling' on a server. 'Idle' means in this case 'stay connected, just sit there and wait for messages')
the specs on your site CLEARLY state for the E72:
Supported protocols: IMAP4 (with idle), Nokia Messaging, Microsoft ActiveSync, POP3, SMTP
This means that the product that i have bought IS NOT DOING what you promise. I could probably solve with start using Nokia Messaging but this and was never my intention. I just the phone to do what it is supposed to do: imap idle without the use of Nokia Messaging as stated in its specs (as it was before by the way).
WOULD APPRECIATE AN ANSWER!
Called Nokia support in Belgium. No answer from them.We are far from being Nokia enemies. If anything, we are giving them free feedback. In corporate circles, concerned companies pay millions of bucks to the likes of Pricewaterhouse, etc to do strategic consulting, ie to tell them what really is right or wrong with their company, products, etc. In the new millenium, the internet and tools such as forums provide similar service, only at a fraction of the cost and a damningly honest one too!
My take on the matter is this: sure Nokia staff are reading these forums and laughing at us 'idiots'. The 'noise-makers' are few and far between. Nokia also has their die-hard fans (some people have never used any of the advanced features on their phones so would know little) as well as their own 'plants' (ppl who are Nokia employees tasked with dropping feel-good stories in various threads. I've done enough corporate consulting to know this ;-)
The same person who was supporting Nokia in this thread also had an extended argument with me in the afore-mentioned thread. Some people think someone having 300 odd contacts is a power-user (I have in excess of 1,300 contacts, 90% current and active). Some people questioned my desired to be able to snooze an alarm for a user defined period (that Nokia lover accused me for wanting "more bells & whistles than Fort Knox").
The last example is something simple that can implemented. My Palm circa 2003 had that feature. Say if an alarm sounds for a set event, but you are still in a meeting/busy, wouldn't it be gud to be able to snooze the alarm for a specified period, say 40 mins? At the moment, the E72 only lets you set ONE global snooze period which applies for all alarms.
The way I see it Nokia with its so-called business series of devices have 2 probs - (1) it has many bugs and high-end features that do no work as promoted / advertised, and (2) it lacks many simple features that cheaper/older phones have. Can't be too difficult for those Finns to decipher this, can it??
And what would happen to Nokia? Well, I think its getting so big headed in recent times that its alienating a lot of serious / old-time fans. In todays market, there is great variety of choice. If one is to get buggy and ill-designed products anyway then why pay premium dollars for a Finnish lemon when you can settle for a similar lemon (and at times with almost enuff bells & whistles to challenge Fort Knox) from say China, at a fraction of the price. And to think that many of these Chinese clones today ship with dual SIM capability as well as a (fuzzy no doubt) TV monitor!
My advice to folks out there, please do buy a Nokia if you are in the market for a cheap, no-frills phone to be used as a spare phone or on those mountain camping trips when a gud flashlight is required. But if you are looking for a serious BIZNESS SMARTPHONE, the E72 is definately not it. Still love you, darling!
There ought to be laws out there on the use of the term 'smartphone' -
Register my product my nokia belgium

Best regards
Solved!
Go to Solution.you can either try to delete account and set it in the correct place or call nokia support for assistance as they might have to remove your imei from the system for you to try again.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
It can take up to 24 hours (or sometimes even more) before the app will be visible in the WP Marketplace.
Devices in some markets may need to be running the very latest software before the app is visible in Marketplace. Existing devices began updating June 20 2012 in the first countries, new devices being produced already have the latest version
Shortly after launch, it is hoped that the app will also appear as part of the Nokia Collection in Marketplace.
We have forwarded a question on availability for Canada and India and will share any information we can as we receive it in this thread.
Hope this helps,
Kosh
This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Canada still can't get it? Why does the US have access but not Canada. Can we expect it or is there another 3 month delay? Unbelievable that on day one I paid over $500 to buy this phone unlocked in Canada and still cannot use the most basic features like MMS. This is pathetic. Blackberry is better than this and they're barely alive -
E75 : I can't connect my mobile to Nokia-Suite, Pc...
Hi,
this week i missed the pop-up when i received a SMS on my E75 using Pc_Suite (last Build) on my Vista machine.
I decided to remove all Nokia software and reinstall them.
Since reinstalling, My E75 is not connectable with the cable (only Bluetooth works) despite my E52 and E71 connects without any problem.
This is what i Did.
- Uninstall al Nokia products (as described in the support page of pc-suite).
- Run Pc-Suite Cleaner.
- Reboot
- Install Pc-Suite
- Reboot
- Connect the E75 with the cable
--> The Drivers were successfully installed but no connection is possible with Pc-Suite software despite the PC has access to the Nokia contents.
- Unplug E75
- Install Nokia-Suite
- Connect E75
--> Drivers installed update but still no connection neither with Pc-Suite, nor with Nokia-Suite
- uninstall Nokia Cable Connectivity
- Download latest one
- Install latest one
- reboot
- Start Nokia-Suite
- Connect E75
--> Not seen !!!! Holly Sh.....
My E52 and E71 connect without any problem.
I've for the moment connected my E75 with BlueTooth but i don't like that.
What could be the problem.
Do i have to Factory Reset my E75 and retry ? If yes, do i have to once again uninstall the software on my pc ?
I'm slowly turning mad, because the way i proceed is normally safe (i allways do like that and it works always).
Any suggestion is hardly welcome.
Remark : I've teh last Software installed on my E75, but i do'nt have tried to reinstall that yet.
Thanks in advance.
G@dz.
Belgium.Hi Taza99,
i did what you suggested by i don't get any improvement.
The only difference during installation (after connection my E75 through USB) is that i get a message installing SYNCML-DM telling that window should look for a driver, and after installation i got and error : Windows cannot find a driver for your device : SYNCML-SYNC.
I'm using Vista Enterprise SP1 .
here is the bug :

When will Nokia deliver a dual 3G SIM Phone
As a regular traveller (Belgium/UK) I have to swap SIMs to enable local service providers. This is crazy unless I want the phone service provider to charge me. If Samsung can offer dual SIM 3G why not Nokia - my preference. Please dont make me go to Samsung! Just make the new Nokia N/E series all dual SIM that would be great- thanks

And it would also greatly increase the price for the vast majority of users that don't need dual sim capability.
Also have you seen how ugly and basic the other dual sim phones have been? You get the feature at the cost of function.
Have you considered buying a dual sim adapter for your phone? Or do you need both sims to be always active? -
Heyhey,
how do I get out of file transfer mode when I connect my Nokia 515 to pc using a USB cable?
It says it's connected in non-compatible mode.
What I am trying to do is: update the software. I'm using the dual-sim version.
Wireless update is impossible, my mobile internet and 3G both work, but when I ask my phone to download software it says I have no network connection. That's why I tried connecting it, I installed Nokia Suite, which is incompatible, Nokia Software Recovery Tool, which is incompatible, Nokia Software Updater, which is incompatible, so now I'm trying Nokia PC Suite, which says the phone is connected in non-compatible mode, which is slightly better.
Does anyone know how to update it? it's on versino 09.04, it's Nokia 515.2, and RM-952.
This phone is outrageously expensive for a feature phone, thank god for the battery life and build quality, and even the camera is okay. It's disgusting that this lowest-tier bug-filled software is put on it (haven't installed a single downloaded app, yet it crashes every now and then while writing or receiving texts). Now I simply want to update it.
If anyone is able to help me, I hope they'll feel the most wonderful person in the world for at least a week, because that is what they'll be to me.
I am very good at following step-by-step solutions.Okay, I solved the non-compatible mode thing! Because I'm a nice guy, I'm gonna tell how I did it, not like the guys on the other hundreds of forums I visited who just said "solved it ".
I had to connect as a modem, then windows looked for a whole bunch of drivers, and apparently one of the drivers it needed for modem connection is also helping the compatibility with normal pc suite connection.
Now, it also worked for the nokia software updater, but it said that the device is not supported as well.
I wonder if it also displays that message when there's no update available? On the site it says updates are into version 10, and I'm still into 9, but maybe there's still regions that still have what I have? I bought it on german amazon and am using it in Belgium (First World Country, yet it is not sold here?) The search for updates continues. -
What is with the unreliability of Nokia phones?
Honestly, someone please explain!!
I'm a woman, so I'm right!Often the problems are caused by the castration of the phones by the networks, come over here to Belgium where we have very few operator-versions of the phone software and things work much better.
Other issues are people who don't understand smartphones getting hold of them cheap under contracts, S60 phones are closer to PDAs than traditional mobile phones and too many people don't realise this when they buy. Nokia has a wider range of smartphones than any other maker, so it just looks like there are more issues issues with Nokia. Samsung also make S60 phones - badly. SE have also had Symbian-based models with similar problems. -
I first used Nokia Drive in the UK and there it supported speed cameras.
Now when I'm in Sweden there is no support for speed cameras.
Will Nokia drive support speed cameras in Sweden?Hi Snubben,
Thank you for your first post and welcome to the forums!
The reason why you don't get speed camera alerts in some countries is because some do legislate against it and also it isn't a current feature in the Swedish region although you do receive warnings about speed limits even when not navigating.
The information provided for "Traffic and Safety" availability is:
Traffic info & Safety cameras: Austria, Belgium, Finland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, United Kingdom
Traffic info only: Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Sweden
Safety cameras only: Andorra, Northern Ireland, Poland, Romania,
We currently don't have any information whether this is feature is planned to be added or not.
Also I have attached a link to the Swedish version of Drive with a user guide and current supported features:

Adding Dutch language to the Nokia 6600 menu
Two weeks ago my SonyEricsson W380i went broke (second time) during my Greek holidays.
I had to replace it locally with what I found an attractive phone; the Nokia 6600 fold.
After having it set out of the Greek menu.. I had the choice for a couple of languages.. took English.
Living in Belgium I would prefer the menu in Dutch, but that is not on the phone.
Is it possible to download that language to my phone?
What link?
Appreciate comments.
GuidoIt is not possible for you to download and install languages yourself. You should contact your local Nokia Care Point and see if they are able to add a language or change the language pack for you.
You can find your nearest Nokia Care Pointe at:

Living in Belgium, not so far from the Netherlands where I work quite often, I decided to buy a Nokia Lumia 800 since it wasn't available yet in Belgium. Big mistake as I soon found out that I couldn't update my phone (unless I created a completely new Netherlands based Zune account), but still don't have Mix Radio (don't know what it prevents now).
In a global world it is ridiculous that Microsoft still feels it should introduce terrestrial borderlines and even limit access to phone updates and functionality (they even don't allow me to spend money in the Markteplace). The strange thing is that I can sign in, have a Nokia account but the Mix Radio options just don't show up ? I also read initially that Mix Radio doesn't require an account whatsoever, so how does it decide to show the option or not ? Even more strange is that other people in Belgium say they've no problem at all ?
If Nokia is not able to provide Mix Radio... what is the added value of this Lumia... in that case I better buy a cheaper competitors product ! -
D'avance, merci.Firstly, this is an English language forum.
According to the details given on Nokia Belgium's site at http://www.nokia.be/decouvrez-les-appareils/tous-les-appareils/nokia-5800-xpressmusic/specifications there is no mention of a spare stylus or of a hard case.
The accessories packaged with phones do vary from one market to anotther.

Hi,
My parents went on a holiday trip to France, all well untill he decided to see if fish could make a phonecall and dropped his phone into the water.
Lucky me, the simcard was fine, the phone was not ( guess why )
We went to the local phone shop, bought a Nokia 108 so he was helped.
Now the only problem is, we are from Belgium, we speak Dutch ( Flemish ) but this language is nowhere to be found on the phone.
I can choose from Spanish, English, French, Romanian,Porgugues, Italian and German..Clearly Nokia forgot to add the Dutch option in it, i mean if you can have all the above, why no dutch?
Is there a way i can add the dutch language to the phone? as at this stage, he is getting well p'd off with it in french
If so, please tell me how to add a language to it, i will be happy todo so and get this over with.
Thank you kindely for your help,
Andrew
Solved!
Go to Solution. There is more than one language pack available for a handset depending on the region for which it is intended to be sold in. I believe that only a Nokia Care facility can swap or add languages for your handset, however given the price of the phone it would probably be easier and cheaper to buy another one from a Belgian shop. Check the language availability first though, as it could be an import intended for another region, which would not solve your problem.
