Nokia E6 sign-in error to ovi store

When click <Sign in> button, error appears: Sign-in error. There was a problem signing in. Check your phone's date and time settings.
I checked it is correct time zone Singapore and automatic update set on.

Works here and the cause has nothing to do with the Opera deal. This was a bug in the Qt framework which got unveiled with the SSL POODLE attack. User msmatrix has to go for Nokia Belle Refresh or the patched Nokia Suite to continue to use the Nokia Store. In that mentioned thread, we are going double-check this together, and why msmatrix has not received Nokia Belle Refresh yet.

    I tried to download some software (File Manager Beta and Battery Usage) but failed.
    Ovi store showed "Can't install" "Unable to continue installation due to unresolved error". 
    I tried both WLAN and 3G but it failed in both way.

    Hey Akiran! Welcome to the Nokia forums.
    Initially, verify that the app has downloaded to your computer. You can do this by searching your computer for the app name as it may have downloaded to an unfamiliar location. If you cannot find the application, delete all files from Temporary internet files -folder, and try download again. You can empty the folder from Internet options:
    1. Close Nokia Ovi store
    2. Open Control panel > (Network and Internet - in Category view of Windows Vista and 7) > Internet options and select General -tab
    3. In Windows XP select Temporary Internet files > Settings > Views files. In Windows Vista and 7 select Browsing history > Settings > Views files
    4. Delete all files from the Temporary Internet files -folder (all offline content will be deleted)
    Alternatively check that internet connection is working correctly and that firewall or antivirus application settings does not prevent downloads.
    If you you are not able to download the application, please contact Nokia Care, and let us know the application you were trying to purchase and any error messages that were displayed. Check the Contact us -link up in this page for local Nokia Care details.

  • Nokia N8: Unable to download from Ovi Store

    After making the error of trying to install Kaspersky to my N8 and so having to re-format everything to get the phone working again (using #*7370# but not the three fingered salute) almost everything is working ok except Ovi Store. I can get onto the store fine but as soon as I try to download anything it says Download Error in red. If I try to send a text to my phone with the download link, the message never arrives. Ovi verified the number fine (sent the verification text no probs) and even managed to sync somehow. But when I tried to set up the sync by getting the text with the settings, nothing happens.

    PS- I've updated the software for the phone and for Ovi Store so it's completely up to date.

    UPDATE
    Well I took the general advice and went to my nearest Nokia care centre today. They informed me that there was nothing further they could do as they flashed the firmware twice and still could not reinstall Ovi Store. They recommended that I send the phone to Nokia and that I would be without it for 3 weeks + .
    This is quite disgraceful , at least with my iphone it would be repaired on the spot or replaced. I am very annoyed with the total lack of customer care particularly after spending a small fortune on this phone.
    Does anyone know if Nokia are going to provide a new update for people in my position ?
    Can anyone else who has suffered this difficulty let me know?

    Try removing unwanted apps from your phone memory and keep it as free as possible. The memory low message is due to low RAM and sadly there hasn't been a complete solution for that. Before going into Ovi store clean your browser cache or reboot your phone and try downloading apps.

  • Error message "Ovi store is currently not availabl...

    Hi all !
    This is my first post and I hope you guys can help me...
    I am trying to install SKYPE in my N95 (running V35.2.001 13-10-09, RM160) and when I try to open the link sent from the OVI Store via SMS directly to my phone I get the above mentioned error.
    I also get the same error message if I try to open the OVI Store app icon in the phone.
    I am connecting via WIFI which works fine so it is not a connection issue.....
    When I tried to download the SKYPE app directly from the skype.com/m site using my N95 I receive a SKYPE version S60_ V5.0  1.10(7) which would appear to be not compatible as the N95 is S60 V3
    Any help in trying to solve these two issues will be much appreciated.

    Simple steps that you can try:
    1. Switch your phone off and then remove the battery.  After a few seconds, put the battery in and switch your phone on.
    2. Make sure you have the latest version of Nokia Store, you can download the latest version by going to your phone's web browser and then type in store.ovi.mobi
    3. Restore the original factory settings as instructed in your phone's user guide.

  • New iPhone 5 / iOS 6.0.1 - sign in error at app store

    Hello,
    I've just bought a new iPhone 5 16gb from Carphone Warehouse.
    I put SIM in, create a new account using icloud.com
    When I try and log in to app store (the first thing I do after installation) it says "Account already in use".
    When I log in using the credentials it says "Could not sign in - an unknown error has occured".
    I then reset phone and tried again using existing email.
    Same problem.
    I'm getting so frustrated!
    Please help.

    Thanks for the tip. However it did not work. The only thing that I hadn't tried out of that list was turning imessage off and back on. When it prompted for my password it said it was wrong, then turned on anyway. Still I can't add my apple id. Same as before.

  • Very frustrating "you are not signed in" error in app store

    I keep trying to sign from the ipad via app store to no avail. I even reset my password and I am using the new one, and I keep getting "you are not signed in" despite entering the correct password, which works fine on itunes with the same apple id. Repeated "you are not signed in" pop ups after entering the correct password with the correct apple id...
    Anyone with the same issue who can help very much appreciated.
    Please only informed opininions only, I appreciate people want to help, but let's not fill this thread with reboot, cold reboot, disconnect from itunes, reconnect from itunes etc. from the hoards of wanna be apple employees here who litter these support forums with unhelpful generic advice. I 've done all that already.
    I ve pretty much had it with apple and the way they debug their systems and products nowadays, at some point they will have to realise they have grown in size and hire more personel, because their products are getting buggier and buggier. I am just off a couldnt complete sync bug having had to restore from a backup which itself restored the system incompletely and I have to re-install quite a few apps....

    Ok, a few more details, I have two ids from stores from different countries. On both of them I sign out completely, then I get the pop up where I enter my email and password for said id, it seems to take the details in just fine. Then if I go to purchases or updates it asks me again for a password and to sign in (it has kept my apple email id) and it keeps asking me without logging in. This happens on both ids. It also outputs messages of the type this id id is valid in only said countries store clicking ok will take you there. Even after I have verified that I am at the correct countries store, with correct id, and correct password it won't sign in...
    What a pain in the behind bug...

  • Can't sign in to Ovi store on mobile

    Have just discovered I can no longer sign in to my Ovi store account on my mobile. On my PC there's no problem, but when I use the Ovi store app on my 5800XM I get the first page of app listings ("Featured" apps) OK, but when I try to look at any other page, or try to log in to my account, I get a pop-up window saying "Unable to open this page. check your connection or try again later". There is no problem with my conection (tried both 3G & wi-fi), and I've tried several times during today with the same result. I have tried re-installing the app, but without success. Any ideas ?

    Hi,
    You may clear the browser's cache. To do this, go to Internet and then Web. Tap on the arrow diagonally to see the options. Then, select Settings and then Privacy. Tap on Privacy data and then Cache.
    Try performing the restore factory settings. On your phone, go to Settings and then Phone. Then, Phone management and select Factory settings. You may then enter the security code. The default code is 12345 unless you changed it. 
    You may also try to uninstall and re-install the Nokia Store on your phone. To remove the application, go to Settings and then Application manager. Go to Installed apps. and look for the application to be removed. Then, select Options and then Uninstall. To re-install the application, visit www.store.nokia.com using the phone's browser and download it from there. 
    If the above steps didn't work, you need to update or re-install the phone's software using the Nokia Suite.

    My nokia N73 ovi store is not responding(not working) but at first it is working tried to update it but it would'nt come.all that can be seen there is this application is no longer available on your device. So can some one kindly help me outside there please!!! Secondly any time that i download an application and am trxing to instal it a dialoge box appears writen inside certificate expired.please help.!!!

    Are you referring to accessing OVI Store via browser or application upon device?
    AFAIK there is a version of OVI Store circulating for S60 3rd Ed. FP1 as installed to my N95 after "hard reset" but N73 is original S60 £rd Ed.:http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Online-services-from-Nokia-Nokia/N95-is-not-supported-by-ovi-store/m...
    If you are referring to .sis applications sourced outside of Nokia/Ovi Store the Symbian certificate has expired upon a number of these now, you have to reset date upon device to a previous time perhaps start with 2010 and change it back to current date after successful installation; it can unfortunately be a matter of trial and error to hit the right one!

    After I finish the download and install the latest version of ovi store, it shows application error during the installation.

    After buying several apps in the Ovi Store using my credit card I was really surprised that Ovi Store does no longer accept my credit card because I'm not living in the US! (I'm requested to fill in a US address otherwise I cannot proceed.)

    I'm not living in Iran or some other country on which the US has imposed sanctions. Can someone please explain? It feels like going back in time and I think Nokia will lose a lot of Ovi Store visitors this way.

    when will you support the E90?

    That Download! APplikation (or just Applikation) 3.1.736 is the same as the one built into the E90 firmware 300.34.84 on my phone (*#0000# shows FW). Check your phone Menu/Download!/Options/Application/About. There was a stand alone Download! Application which you could download at Nokia when they transitioned between Mosh for Nokia and Download! to the Ovi Store. It is Dowload! Version 3.2.818. It works slightly better* during changes. Of course, the purpose of Download! is simply to supply the Ovi Store Client. And the Ovi Store Client allows you the freedom to download application for your own personal experimentation - an example is Facebook for E71/E72 - unlike the web-based Ovi Store, which tends to block a lot. I wonder what happens with Windows Live Messenger IM because it doesn't show up in Download! any more. You can still only get it at some unrelated symbian site. I have no idea about the sms from Ovi Store. My only guess there is to try to pickout the application from the sms and search for it in the Ovi client.     I am using a Nokia C6-00.....I want to but an app called "Mazelock" from the Ovi Store...But each time i try to buy it, i enter my details, and press Confirm, Ovi Store says "Error. Check Details and Try again".....
    What should i do to solve this issue?

    Try upgrading your Ovi store to Nokia store... And If you still haven't upgraded to belle, upgrade your firmware.
