Nokia E60 error syncing (other thread's instructio...

Hello,
I have the same error many seem to have "PC Sync has encountered a problem and has terminated the syncronization". I'm trying to sync my work Calendar from Outlook using PC Suite 6.84.10.3 (which is the latest available version in Finland). Also I have tried calling Nokia Care but it seems the support persons have no ideas and dont seem to know anything about phones or the software. They dont know anything about anything. They barely know phone models.
Phone software version is 3.0633.09.04.
I have tried:
- Restore factory settings
- Make new Sync profile
- reinstall PC Suite
- Try it on different computer
- Make a new Calendar
- Try syncing something else (like Notes)
- etc...
I have also tried "Reinstall PC Suite support on your phone" but it doesnt do anything. It doesnt install anything.
The phone works otherwise perfectly. I can send stuff via Bloothtooth to other phones. I can browse my phone's folders from PC Suite.
Now would someone tell me what is wrong with this phone ?
Do I have to take it to maintenance/care again and let them blunder the version and break the phone _again_ ? (Thats what they do when they try to fix it. Last time I had to take my phone back to them three times to get it working. And thats Nokia's OFFICIAL maintenance/care company)

Hello, Thanks for the reply. I couldnt see the new PC Suite version on Nokia web page, it always showed only the 6.84 version. But I downloaded it and removed my previous PC Suite (6.84 too) install and rebooted. Then I started the newly downloaded 6.84 installation program and it told me there is new version 6.85.x available! So I says Yes download it... after the download the new 6.85 version installed fine. But still sync didnt work via bluetooth (it used to work). Then I tried USB cable and it worked!!!! (it didnt work with 6.84). So the new version did something so now sync works with USB cable! I dont have any idea what caused the problem in the first place, but now I'm happily syncing again (via USB).

    Sorry for the long title, first time poster here.

    This thread is pretty old, are you still having this issue?

  • Hi all, i can't sync over wifi between my iPhone 4 and Windows 7 64 bit, wifi sync works with the same phone and my Windows 8 machine, tried solutions from other threads with no luck, just thought i'd see if anyone else had any ideas, thanks.

    Hi all, i can't sync over wifi between my iPhone 4 and Windows 7 64 bit, wifi sync works with the same phone and my Windows 8 machine so the problem seems confined to Windows 7. I've tried solutions from other threads -
    Making sure everything is allowed through firewall
    Rebooting phone/laptop/router
    Disabling ipv6
    Disabling all networks except the one curently on
    Re-installing iTunes
    Restoring iPhone
    No luck with any of those unfortunately so i just thought i'd see if anyone else is still without wifi sync after trying those as well and if you ever found a fix, thanks.

    I just wanted to leave a note that it's working now. I'm not sure if it was the latest iTunes update that got it working or that i decided to start a new library instead of using the one i had backed up on Windows 8 (it didn't occur to me to check using the old library when i re-installed iTunes). But if anyone is having this problem, it might be worth trying again with a new installation of iTunes to see if the latest update works for you, and if not, try using a fresh library instead of a backup (by fresh library i mean discard your old library completely and start a new library, not just restore as new iPhone, a whole new library).

  • PROBLEMS IN J2ME IN RECEIVING SIP MESSAGES IN NOKIA E60

    Hello guys!
    I'm currently developing an instant messaging for sip messages in the NOKIA E60 platform.
    Registration process to the proxy functions properly, sending of messages to target URI functions properly, however, when a softphone send a sip mesage to the proxy-routing to my application. My application doesn't receive anything. I used the ethereal to see incoming frames in the proxy and i found out that Nokia E60 send a "bad media type mesasge" as a reply to the message. Any feedback in this matter ? My code is written below:

    Hey!
    1. Nokia hides some folders containing system stuff, so that you don't accidentally delete something and mess things up. The computer sees more of them and can count them in, so...
    2. It happens because your wallpapers are stored on the Mass storage/ Memory Card drive... And if you connect your phone to the computer, it won't be able to read any files on E/F drives as the computer acceses them.
    3. They are! You just have to scroll down the list that pops up when you click on the widget
    4. Try this one: to snooze an alarm, turn the phone on the other side, so that the scrren faces the table- it will shut up!
    5. Nope, they're usable straight away
    6. Don't really see what you mean... You want the messaging app shortcut to open up with folders (outbox, inbox, stuff like that?) I'm afraid it's not possible You'll have to access them via the options menu

  • Nokia Photos error : exception has been thrown by ...

    I have two computers and installed on both Nokia Photos. On the Vista-Home PC I get the error message. The first time I ran Nokia Photos there was no problem. The phone synchronized ok. The second time it crashed and it keeps on crashing as soon I (re0 start the program.
    My phone is a N82.
    The XP-professional computer is ok. The problem does not occur.
    Anybody know how to solve this problem ?
    Re-installing did not solve the prooblem, neither using Nseries suite 1.6 or 2.0. I tried both......
    Please help. Thanks.

    Hi,
    I too have recently purchased an N95 8GB and have tried using the latest Nokia Photo Software.
    I have downloaded the latest version from the website only yesterday (19th July 2008 - Version 1.2.50.00) along with the latest version of the PC Suite Software (Version 7.0.7.0). The software appeared to open fine, and started to import all 23,000 items from my previous Lifeblog Software. When it eventually finished it said it had encountered errors and then listed them, and then another error occured stating that a more detailed report was in the Windows Error log, and closed the program.
    I have tried reinstalling the program, running reg scans to completely remove it, and have even renamed my lifeblog database however still loads the old import and then crashes with the same issue. Error log in Event Viewer is as follows.
    The description for Event ID ( 100 ) in Source ( Nokia Photos ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Title:NokiaPhotos Exception Handling

  • ISync: Nokia 9300i--- Calender Sync Broken

    Hi,
    Post update to 10.4.9, there was a strange behaviour in iSync with Nokia 9300i.
    Every-time the sync was about to complete, it used to get broken (while syncing calendar). The phone get's message that the link is broken.
    I tried everything from re-installing Mac OSX, Upgrading it back to 10.4.9, Upgrading the firmware of Nokia 9300i & Applying DST Patch on phone, but no avail. The Calendar seems to be broken.

  • Error Sync photos

    I have just tried to use the latest Nokia Suite on Windows 7 on a Mac with Fusion software.
    I linked with Bluetooth as I didn't have a cable. It done the contacts/messages OK, but on the Gallery for Photos it took about 3 hours (over 800 photos, of my daughter), finished, then said that it had problems with a vast majority of them, only transferred 127!
    When I tried again it said it had already been Sync'd, I deleted them, still the same error?
    Is there a way for me to unset the 'Sync' settings, or any other way for me to do this apart from a cable, other software maybe that works on Mac OSX as I detest using Windows!
    Thanks in anticipation,
    Batch108

    also try change "WLAN security Mode" from WPA to 802.1x
    I think Nokia referrs to WPA as WPA-PSK, but when you say TKIP then it also could be 802.1x as TKIP is the encryption used.
    So infact your wireless domain might be a 802.1x/EAP-PEAP/MS-CHAPv2 network.Message Edited by mbil on 30-Apr-200702:58 PM

  • HELP Needed with this error:   Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClass

    Folks,
    I am having a problem connecting to my MSDE SQL 2000 DB on a WindowsXP pro. environment. I am learning Java and writing a small test prgm to connect the the database. The code compiles ok, but when I try to execute it i keep getting this error:
    "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Test1"
    I am using the Microsoft jdbc driver and my CLASSPATH is setup correctly, I've also noticed that several people have complained about this error, but have not seen any solutions....can someone help ?
    Here is the one of the test programs that I am using:
    import java.sql.*;
    * Microsoft SQL Server JDBC test program
    public class Test1 {
    public Test1() throws Exception {
    // Get connection
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new
    com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver());
    Connection connection = DriverManager.getConnection(
    "jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://LAPTOP01:1433","sa","sqladmin");
    if (connection != null) {
    System.out.println();
    System.out.println("Successfully connected");
    System.out.println();
    // Meta data
    DatabaseMetaData meta = connection.getMetaData();
    System.out.println("\nDriver Information");
    System.out.println("Driver Name: "
    + meta.getDriverName());
    System.out.println("Driver Version: "
    + meta.getDriverVersion());
    System.out.println("\nDatabase Information ");
    System.out.println("Database Name: "
    + meta.getDatabaseProductName());
    System.out.println("Database Version: "+
    meta.getDatabaseProductVersion());
    } // Test
    public static void main (String args[]) throws Exception {
    Test1 test = new Test1();

    I want to say that there was nothing wrong
    with my classpath config., I am still not sure why
    that didn't work, there is what I did to resolved
    this issue.You can say that all you like but if you are getting NoClassDefFound errors, that's because the class associated with the error is not in your classpath.
    (For future reference: you will find it easier to solve problems if you assume that the problem is your fault, instead of trying to blame something else. It almost always is your fault -- at least that's been my experience.)
    1. I had to set my DB connection protocol to TCP/IP
    (this was not the default), this was done by running
    the
    file "svrnetcn.exe" and then in the SQL Server Network
    Utility window, enable TCP/IP and set the port to
    1433.Irrelevant to the classpath problem.
    2. I then copied all three of the Microsoft JDBC
    driver files to the ..\jre\lib\ext dir of my jdk
    installed dir.The classpath always includes all jar files in this directory. That's why doing that fixed your problem. My bet is that you didn't have the jar file containing the driver in your classpath before, you just had the directory containing that jar file.
    3. Updated my OS path to located these files
    and....BINGO! (that simple)Unnecessary for solving classpath problems.
    4. Took a crash course on JDBC & basic Java and now I
    have created my database, all tables, scripts,
    stored procedures and can read/write and do all kinds
    of neat stuff.All's well that ends well. After a few months you'll wonder what all the fuss was about.

  • Error while using threads in proc program

    Hi,
    I am getting the error fetched column value NULL (-1405) in proc program while using the threads.
    The execution of the program is as follows.
    Tot_Threads = 5 (Total threads, totally 5 records with value instance names)
    No_Of_threads = 1 (No Of threads executed at the same time)
    Example :
    INSTANCE_NAME – Link1, link2, link3, link4, link5 (All different Databases)
    NO_OF_THREADS - 5
    Threading Logic:
    Based on the maintanence NO_OF_THREADS, the program will process.
         If (NO_OF_THREADS == 0)
              Process_Sequence
         else
              if NO_OF_THREADS == TOT_THREADS
                   Process_Type1
              else
                   Process_Type2
    In a loop for all different instances,
    New context area will be created and allocated.
         New oracle session will be created.
         New structure will be created and all global parameters are assigned to that structure.
         For each instance, a new thread will be created (thr_create) and all the threads will call
         the same(MainProcess) function which takes the structure as parameter.
         At the end of every session, the corresponding oracle session will logged out.
    Process_Type1 logic :
         /* For Loop for all threads in a loop */
         for(Cnt=0;Cnt < Tot_Threads;Cnt++)
              /* Allocating new contect for every different thread */
              EXEC SQL CONTEXT ALLOCATE :ctx[Cnt];
              /* Connected to new oracle session */
              logon(ctx[Cnt],ConnStr);
    /* Assigning all the global parameters to the structure and then passing it to InsertBatching function */
              DataSet[Cnt].THINDEX=Cnt;
              DataSet[Cnt].sDebug=DebugMode;
              strcpy(DataSet[Cnt].THNAME,(char *)InsNameArr[Cnt].arr);
              DataSet[Cnt].ctx=ctx[Cnt];
              /* creating new threads for time in a loop */
    RetVal = thr_create(NULL,0,InsertBatching,&DataSet[Cnt],THR_BOUND,&threads[Cnt]);
              sprintf(LocalStr1,"\nCreated thread %d", Cnt);
              DebugMessage(mptr,LocalStr1,DebugMode);
         for(Cnt=0;Cnt <Tot_Threads;Cnt++)
              /* Waiting for threads to complete */
              if (thr_join(threads[Cnt],NULL,NULL))
                   printf("\nError in thread Finish \n");
                   exit(-1);
              /* Logout from the specific oracle session */
              logoff(ctx[Cnt]);
              /* Free the context area after usage */
              EXEC SQL CONTEXT FREE :ctx[Cnt];
    used functions:
              thr_create with thr_suspend option
              thr_join to wait for the thread to complete
    Process_Type2 logic :
         Here the idea is , if the load is heavy , then we can change the maintanence of NO_OF_THREADS (Ex - 2), so that only two threads will be executed in the same time , others should wait for      the same to complete ,once the first two threads completed and the next two should be started and then in the same manner it will do for all the threads.
    The parameters passing and the structure passing are same as above.
    Here all threads will be created in suspended mode, and then only No_Of_threads(2) will
    be started, others will be in suspended mode, once the first two is completed then the
    other two thread will be started and in the same manner other threads.
         used functions:
              thr_create with thr_suspend option
              thr_continue to start the suspended thread
              thr_join to wait for the thread to complete
    Process_Sequence logic :
    Here the idea is , to run the program for all the instances , without creating the threads.Hence in the for loop , one by one instance will be taken and call the same function to Process. This will call the same function repeated for each different value. The parameters passing and the structure passing are same as above.
         The InsertBatching function will prepare the cursor and pick all records for batching and then , it will call other individual functions for processing. For all the functions the structure variable will be passed as parameter which holds all the neccessary values.
    Here in all the sub functions , we have used
         EXEC SQL CONTEXT USE :Var;
         Var is corresponding context allocated for that thread, which we assume that the corresponding context is used in all sub functions.
         EXEC SQL INCLUDE SQLCA;
    This statement we have given in InsertBatching Function not in all sub functiosn
    Example for the Sub functions used in the program :-
    /* File pointer fptr and dptr are general file pointers , to write the debub messages, DataStruct will hold all global parameters and also context area .
    int Insert(FILE fptr,FILE dptr,DataStruct d1)
    EXEC SQL BEGIN DECLARE SECTION;
         VARCHAR InsertStmt[5000];
    EXEC SQL END DECLARE SECTION;
    char LocalStr[2000];
    EXEC SQL CONTEXT USE :d1.ctx;
    InsertStmt will hold insert statement
    EXEC SQL EXECUTE IMMEDIATE :InsertStmt;
    if (ERROR)
         sprintf(LocalStr,"\nError in Inserting Table - %s",d1.THNAME);
         DebugMessage(dptr,LocalStr,d1.sDebug);
         sprintf(LocalStr,"\n %d - %s - %s",sqlca.sqlcode,ERROR_MESG,d1.THNAME);
         DebugMessage(dptr,LocalStr,d1.sDebug);
         return 1;
    return 0;
    I get this error occationally and not always. While preparing the sql statement also i am getting this error.
    The code contains calls to some stored procedures also.
    Thanks in advance

    in every select nvl is handled and this error is occuring while preparing statements also

  • Nokia E60 & Apple Bluetooth keyboard: reconnection...

    I'm using my Nokia E60 with Apple's Wireless Bluetooth keyboard. I have installed Nokia's Wireless Keyboard Software 1.30 to my phone and the keyboard works very well! But there is one big problem: reconnection. I have paired the keyboard with my phone and whenever I switch the keyboard back on and start to type it doesn't reconnect automatically as it should. I've noticed that the bluetooth status symbol activates (*) when I begin typing but Wireless Keyboard app doesn't connect with the keyboard. I have to re-pair keyboard with phone everytime I want to use it. That really **bleep** me off! This seems to be common problem with some bluetooth keyboards & Nokia phones. So I guess the problem is not in my keyboard. I also have the latest firmware installed on my Nokia E60. Is this a phone firmware problem or probably a problem in Wireless Keyboard software? I wish there will be a fix for this issue soon!!Message Edited by rauskis on 10-Jan-2007

    The class the error message is referring to is defined with a SWC that my project links to. However, I've even tried to define a class with that same name (and location) within my project and it still fails to find it.
    Why am I able to Project->Clean and run this project within the desktop AIR player (or on the device in debug mode) but unable to export it as a release build?
    I have found a couple of threads mentioning a similar error but none of them have been marked as resolved.

    At this point I feel I am talking to myself, but I will share my work-around in case it helps another who may stumble across this post.
    In my particular case, both my main AIR application and my ANE wrapper library were referencing the same external Flex library (same revision). Both projects had the library linkage set to merge. Changing the linkage to "External" on one of the 2 libraries (it doesn't seem to matter which) and leaving the other as "Merged into code" enabled the export to complete without the bizarre "Unable to find named traits" error.

  • TT14000: TimesTen daemon internal error: subd: flusher thread failed

    Hi,
    I encountered this on a production environment, the datastore was then became invalid, no connection to TimesTen available causing failures in our Java application. TimesTen version is 7.0.5 64-bit on RedHat Linux.
    Wondering what the root cause and how to prevent it. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    I can see an assertion error from the log which has caused the datastore to invalidate
    15:44:09.44 Err : : 23922: 17268/0x2aad67ef1820: Assertion failed: len > 0 [ttree.c:4.391:tnLookup():6884] PID 17268 (java) CONN 82 (java) 2012-03-08 15:44:09.433
    1) Any stack trace being dumped in the .inval file created at the datastore directory ?
    2) Any sql operation you were doing when this issue happened?
    This issue might be due to the BUG 6671095 - KILL TEST: ASSERTION FAILED: LEN > 0 [TTREE.C:4.391:TNLOOKUP():6884] , but there is no fix for this bug yet.
    I would prefer you raise a Service request at support.oracle.com so that we can work further on this issue. Please note that 7.0.5 is very old TT version so you should consider to upgrade to latest versions soon.
    Regards
    Rajesh
