Hi sachmo
The most probable cause is that u have a program that requires internet connection like Mail For Exchange or the e-mail setuped to auto retrieve new messages or any other
So check them up

  • Starting Blend when client not connected to internet?

I've recently started experimenting with Blend with my Z30 and my laptop running Windows 7 Enterprise sp1; Blend Windows client v.1.1.0.17, Blackberry Blend app v.1.1.0.67 on the Z30.
One thing we'd like to do is to use it in places where we have no internet access other than through the mobile network on the Blackberry. Essentially tethering only for Blend.
Blend works fine if the laptop is connected to the internet, the Z30 connected to the mobile network, and the two are connected by USB. Once Blend is connected, I can then disconnect the laptop from the internet, but leave the phone connected to the laptop via USB, and Blend continues working without any problems, using only the mobile network.
However, if the laptop is not connected to the internet when I actually start Blend, I generally cannot get it to connect at all. I plug the Z30 into the laptop, start Blend, and it will go through Discovering, Connecting, Verifying Secure Connection, then end up with a "Can't Connect" message.
I say "generally" because Blend will connect if I try to do it within a very short time after disconnecting the laptop from the internet. It won't work, however, if, for example, I start up or resume the laptop somewhere where I don't have an internet connection for the laptop.
I'm guessing that the Blend client on the desktop does some initial verification prior to establishing the USB connection with the Z30 that requires an independent internet connection, and if it cannot do this it won't connect.
I also note that Blackberry Link on the laptop will crash if run when the laptop is not connected to the internet, and am guessing this might be related.
Can Blend be started when the only internet connection available is through the mobile network on the phone?
    -- BV

Following up on my earlier post; I also have a Playbook, and one of the most useful features is Blackberry Bridge, which provided similar functionality as Blend, though (only) over Bluetooth, and only between a Blackberry and the Playbook. Blend looks like it provides similary functionality, but on more devices, which is great.
Blackberry Bridge, however, does not require the Playbook to have an internet connection to work; I hoped Blend would work in the same way, thus my original post. FYI, I am a lawyer, and in my practice I am often at a tribunal or court where I do not have wifi access, and being able to use Blend to access my email and office intranet on the laptop would be a very useful feature.
I also note that Blend doesn't support Bluetooth; not a big deal, as a USB connection is fine, just curious. And I suppose that there is a good reason for the client requiring a separate internet connection, even if no one here seems to know why .

  • I  reset my ipad now its saying not connected to internet

I reset my ipad now it is saying not connecting to internet then when I click on network wont connect???

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • Firefox crash stops Safari from connecting to internet

Since my Firefox 2.0.0.9 crashed last week, I have had very odd problems with my WiFi (Earthlink through an Apple Airport). Network Diagnostics says everything is okay, but Safari can no longer connect to the internet, and after Firefox crashes I can not even send Apple an error report. Yet I can get online with Firefox, as I am now.
The problem apparently started EITHER when I upgraded to the latest Firefox or when I tried to place an order at <http://www.senacases.com/> (or both). After Firefox crashed multiple times while trying to place an order at <http://www.senacases.com/>, I opened Safari, which would not connect.
I ran Network Diagnostics which said everything is fine. But Firefox continually crashes trying to place an order at <http://www.senacases.com/>, Safari continues not connecting, Network Diagnostics continues to say everything is fine, and now I can't file an Apple Error Report and trying to connect to some of the library services at Notre Dame (something I have always been able to do before), makes Firefox crash.
The only other possible symptom I have noticed is that I could not connect to a Late Show video this morning. Otherwise, I can browse the web in Firefox, I can pick up my email with Entourage, etc.
    How do I fix this?

In Firefox 3.6.4 and later the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings".
See "Firefox connection settings" in [[Server not found]]
You can find the connection setting here: Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select ''No Proxy'
Another possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

Hey guys, i'm new in the community and thought that you may can help me with a lil' problem.
I bought my iPod one month ago and at first successfully connected to internet, then download the iOS 4.3 and continued working well for a few days 'till it just stop connecting to the web. I searched everywhere and found some things that helped but not solved my problem.
I have all my network data, the IP, Subnet Mask and DNS, the only one that does NOT work is the Router. I even tried putting the numbers myself by Static, but it didn't work.
Can somebody help me or tell me what da **** is goin' on?
By the way, my Internet service is Prodigy Infinitum ('cause i'm Mexican).
    Thanks(:

    Try:
    - Resetting your iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Powering off and then back on your router
    - On the iPod reset netwokr settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

  • Nokia E61i can't connect to internet / Country not listed

    Hi all,
My new airport express works fine with my powerbooks but my Nokia E61i does not always get internet access or see the network. I've tried changing various settings such as the channel, closed network or not, the security settings, but I can't seem to find the magic bullet.
I noticed in the wireless clients list of the airport utility that the signal level of the powerbooks is usually around -80 while the e61i is -1.
So my hunch is that it has something to do with the power level or frequency of the radio transmitter.
The Nokia was bought in the USA and the airport in Thailand. I'm wondering if changing the country setting in the wireless options to the USA would have any effect, but I can't seem to find out how to add new countries to the list. Under the wireless options it lists these countries only:
    Argentina
    Bangladesh
    Chile
    China
    Korea
    Nepal
    Pakistan
    Taiwan
I can't find any mention of what changing the country would do exactly. I assume it has to do with adhering to the various regulations of each country regarding radio transmission, which might also affect compatibility issues.
Thanks for any advice you may have.

Thanks Duane, but unfortunately the e61i still has trouble connecting.
I suspect that there are other differences besides just the channels being used between countries. Changing from one country to the next does nothing to change the list of channels available. It is always 1-11 for me.
So changing the country must change something else, otherwise why include the feature at all? My guess is there are also amperage differences and various frequency ranges within each channel to make sure the airport doesn't interfere with other transmitters in each particular region.
It would be nice to figure out how to get all the countries on my Airport Express, but have read elsewhere that people have simply exchanged their airports with Apple when moving to a new region.
Changing country non-withstanding, I am tempted to believe the problem is with the Nokia. I have noticed that the e61i likes to be the first one on the network when it does connect. I also recall it not always playing nicely with my 2wire router back in the states, causing interference for my macs, etc. Nokia calls the wifi connection wlan, which leads me to believe the compatibility issue stems from Nokia's noncompliance with the WIFI standard. Thinking that maybe Nokia got on the wifi bandwagon in a later release, I updated the device to the latest firmware (Nokia gave me the thai or lao firmware) but nothing changed.
Unfortunately neither Thailand nor Laos are listed on the airport express though it was bought from an authorized Apple reseller in Thailand. So I am back to square one.
    Hmmm...

  • If I am connected to Wifi and send an iMessage to a party that is not connected to the Internet then he doesn't receive the message. How do I force my iPhone to send an SMS instead?

If I am connected to Wifi and send an iMessage to a party that is not connected to the Internet then he doesn't receive the message. How do I force my iPhone to send an SMS instead?

It is an interesting option but I am not sure how it works. I disconnected the other party Wifi and 3G on the iPhone, iPad and computer. I sent the iMessage 15 minutes ago and it doesn't give the small foot print "delivered" but equally said I didn't get the RED exclamation mark on the right hand side of the message in BLUE. So we know that the message was sent but not delivered. I don't seem to have the option of sending by SMS when I tap on the BLUE message and hold.

  • Bizessentials- connected then disconnected by Telstra for no reason

Hi, I have a huge problem with Telstra at the moment! Firstly, my connection took place on the 13th of July and I setup my Gateway modem and everything was fine. A technician came out and confirmed the phone line connection.I had a good ~20mbit connection. Everything has been going fine since then. Until last week, I started receiving emails and SMS messages from Telstra saying they were sending a tech around today to connect my internet. I called them up last week and said my internet is fine, everything is working as expected. Don't send out a tech. This morning, my internet goes offline. They disconnected it. I called up and I have been on the phone for several hours now trying to get to the bottom of it. They have told me that my connection was placed on hold back in mid July because it was incomplete. Again, I said look everything is fine I'm happy with the connection. They now said that a tech is going out to the exchange to connect me to an 8mbit port. Woah...hold the phone. A what port? 8mbit! I said what is going on here, I have had internet working fine, at a good speed for almost three weeks. Why is this being taken away from me. They are disputing that the internet was actually working since the 13th of July!Do Telstra not think that if my business connection was not working for nearly three weeks that I wouldn't call them up to fund out why? I am explaining to them that everything was good. I have screenshots of speed connections at nearly 20mbit. They're disregarding this and are connecting me to an 8mbit port.  I have two emails from Telstra. One on the 22nd of June saying I'm getting a 20mbit connection, which is what I'm paying for and the connection went through smoothly. Then the recent email on the 16th of July with another order confirmation - saying I'm getting an 8mbit connection. How can Telstra do so well, then take away what I had and give me something inferior and then deny that I ever had it that good in the first place? I'm furious. I have all the screenshots and emails. The people I'm talking to on the phone are not taking this seriously. Presently, I have no internet, and when it is connected it's going to be connected at less than half the speed at which it was.  Can someone please help me!!

Good afternoon,I gather you signed up for this plan from a Telstra Business Centre or a Telstra Enterprise dealer. You should contact them directly now, and have a very serious talk with them, as they are responsible for co-ordinating business issues for their customers. The Business Centres and Enterprise Dealers  have high level internal support contacts for their business customers.    Hope that helps
