This is really annowing! My nokia email has stopped syncing for the 3 time now in 2 weeks i have installed. I am using e63.
I have the latest Rom update but still am facing issues.
Need help!!!

Make sure your port settings are oke. Look at the authentication settings (SSL,TLS...........).

Nokia C7: Email sync problem

I have set my email sync time that it starts every day between 8am-8pm but it email (sync every 30 min). The phone is synchronizing outside the hours/8am-8pm) so I'm getting emails while I'm sleeping
How do I solve this?

I have the same problem at least for 2 months.
Before upgrading to anna, I had the problem.
Anna did not solve my problem.
My C7-00 also does not auto sync. mail.
I have tried several things. Deleted the mailboxes (I have 3) set them up again for several times. Still no solution. I changed the interval everything in between from 5 min. to 4 hrs. Didn' t work.
If you find a solution. Please let me know.

ive been trying to synch my gmail account with my phone. when i enter my email addres it tels me that a nokia account is linked to that email. i then try loging into that nokia account but it cnt find it!

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
It may be that you have already set up the mailbox and as a result you cannot do it again. So it would be good to start over and remove all your mailboxes.
Open Messaging application, select Options > Settings > E-mail.
Highlight the mailbox you want to remove, and select Options > Delete.
After this, set up your Gmail by following these instructions:
Start Setup Email wizard (or select New on the Email client).
Select Start.
Select Mail For Exchange.
Enter your Gmail email address.
Enter your Gmail password.
Leave domain empty.
Enter server address m.google.com.
If you are still unable to connect to the service, soft reset your phone by dialling *#7780# followed by security code 12345 (unless you have changed it). This will not remove any personal data, just reset your phone settings and clear the mailboxes. After that, add the mailbox.

Nokia E63 email query

Hi, just wondering if anyone would be able to help me with what is no doubt a simple enough query that's been puzzling me for a while.
My email account is set up so that it receives and sends email fine from my phone, but whenever I receive mail no tone sounds and neither does it show up on screen the same way it would as when I receive a text message. It used to do this, but it does no longer, now when I receive an email I just see a small "@" in the top corner of the display, I was wondering how I can change this so that it actually appears on the main screen next to where the texts/missed calls show up.
Any help will be much appreciated.

To get the E-Mail notification on the Standby Screen select Menu > Tools > Settings > General > Personalisation > Home Screen > Mode Settings > Home Screen Applications > E-Mail Notifications.

The spinning icon on the email interface spins when you recieve an email, Is it also meant to spin when you send an email, Because mine just stays green it only spins on receieve?

E63 and incoming email sync (outlook 2007)

Hi everyone,
I checked the topics but I didn't get the answer so I open a new one.
I just wonder if it is feasible to get the emails in outlook incoming email folder in my E63.
Nokia Pc Suite let me sync some outlook folders (contacts, tasks...) but incoming email is not an option. I read in Nokia Pc Suite sync page that some models can not sync some folders. Is this the case?
Please let me know, I was used with a Treo (Palm), and all the folders of outlook in it.
any alternative tips are welcome as well.

If you have an Exchange server running, you can. Otherwise the're is no way of syncing E63 e-mail with Outlook.

Can't send audio messages from Nokia E63 to email ...

I used to send audio messages from my mobile to my friend's email, and it worked fine.
But some days ago it stopped working. I keep on seeing this whenever I try to send audio message.
"In order to send/download MM messages, the current active connection may be closed (this may affect other applications in use). Do you want to continue ?"
When I disconnected connection, it fails to send again. I saw this message:
"Multimedia message cannot be sent. Packet data connection not available"
It is impossible for me to send the audio message if I close the connection because I'm not having internet in my phone.
I have been using packet data connection to send all the messages to email all the time and it went OK. I got that problem just a few days ago and I cannot send any audio messages now.
I can still send normal emails (non-audio message) from my phone through packet data connection though.
The problem is only when sending the audio message.
I'm using Nokia E63 and I'm in the UAE.
My mobile provider is "Du".
I use packet data connection from "MyWorld"
I don't have any other packet data connections. I had many but now, MyWorld is the only one in my phone.
Please help me how can I do it.

Nokia E7 Email late delivery , Big Fault . Sync Pr...

Nokia E7's is a failed mobile to handle emails on time . It delivers emails lately from 1min to upto 1 hour or even sometimes simply dont deliver until you do manual sync or open email , even the settings are on Soonest deliver ,
Recently i purchased E7 , i was using E72 from last 1.5 yrs, but now i got to know something about E7 and N8's OS Symbian^3 is that it lacks the real push email service. Im getting emails after 5 mins to 1hr , even the setting is Soonest . i tried every possible way, it doesn't work. E7 and N8 does not connect u with Nokia Messaging server , it has own built new email feature which is not really good, as Nokia messaging which was supported on my E72 , and believe me i was getting emails within not more than 5 to 10 seconds .
I've contacted Nokia's helpline n they said delete email and make again , all the procedures which a novice may know.. im quite old and this is my field so i tried every possible way from last 2 weeks it really is not working properly , emails are delivered sometimes within 5 mins , sometimes u've to run manual sync , even settings are auto and soonest delivery. I need Email sync like E72 , deliver in mobile as soon as mail arrives , and thats what i was getting in E72 , they are calling E7 a business mobile , i should say it a junk , when a main feature of business category 'Email' is not working properly then what kind of business mobile . Instead of improving Nokia is going down , lacking Apps support and GUI and such an important feature in a mobile these days 'Email'

What a useless piece of @!*t.
I purchased it to replace my E90 that had failed after 3 years but what a mistake I've made. I paid £300+ and it has a very slow calendar which makes it unusable as a business phone, it downloads my email accounts (4 of them) then deletes the emails before I can read them. I cannot recommend this phone to anyone. It is "NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE" I intend to try and get my money back, but I imagine this is going to be very hard.
I have had Nokia smart phones for years from the Communicator but no more. I will be purchasing an iPhone 4 which I know will do the calendar and emails without fault. My other reason for getting the E7 was to use the spreadsheet function. Yes it will use spreadsheets but if it's larger than 10 rows and 10 columns then you're in for an exciting time trying to get around it. Entering information is very difficult. I thought it was the Quick Office installed software so downloaded (and purchased) the full Quick Office - huge mistake! It would not load and they could not sort it out and (thankfully) gave me my money back. The phone also freezes several times a day.
If you are thinking of getting one, my advice, DON'T BOTHER and save yourself a great deal of time and heartache.

Are there any Outlook Email Sync Tools Available f...

Hi, I've had the n900 for a while now, bit peeved with it, was sold as having proper tbt gps etc, that's another story I guess and one which is well documented elsewhere . Only getting round to setting up my email sync now and guess what, it doesn't work!! You don't seem to be able to sync emails between Outlook and the n900, not using PC Suite or OVI suite from what I can see. My work domain and mail is hosted on gmail, I leave a copy of the messages on the server so I can get in Outlook and on the device. Sometimes when I read a message, or reply to a message on the n900 it will never come through to Outlook, even though a copy is being left on the server. it would be nice if a sync tool was available for this, anyone know of any?

you have a couple of options.
first, you have to know that ALL messages you send from your n900 do not get put on the server, but are actually in your "sent" folder on you n900.   so you will need to open that folder, and select all, then move to a folder on your server.....should you be using imap.
next.   i would recommend that you set up your email as imap. it is similar to using MS exchange except that it is free, it does not sync your contacts, it does not sync you calendar. but works great. you will be able to see all your folders on your gmail account and even be able to transfer all your sent email on you n900 to your sent email on your gmail account.
i would stay away from OVI suite as it will just make a mess.   with the n900, it is not necessary to have anything sync with outlook, except your contacts, notes, calendar. so use PC Suite instead as it works solid!
now, since you are new, there is a way to make your n900 email work much faster and smoother as well.
first, install these repositories to your n900 for future use. just click on the links within the browser of your n900 and they will auto-install for you.

now open your appmanager and install rootsh. (this will help you for later as you read in this forum...at least for things that CPitchford and Ceroberts75 post)
now, here are directions to make your email client work much faster. since i cannot attach a .tar file to this, if you send me a pm, i will send you a link to download a safe copy of it for you to use.
save the .tar file to root folder (your root folder is going to be n900 or whatever you named your unit)
open xterm
sudo gainroot
cd MyDocs
to install, use this code:
tar xzf modest-3.4.2-baxyp-1.tar.gz -C /
NOTE: There are 2 spaces after the ".gz" and 1 space after the "-C"
it will just do an immediate prompt again, and seem like nothing happened, but it did.
to uninstall and go to original settings, use this code:
apt-get --reinstall install libtinymail-camel-1.0-0 modest
now for the Nokia Messaging: i started a thread for this Nokia Messaging.   Nokia messaging will auto-sync all your email like stated above, but there are different limitations to alerts and such on the n900 and if you only have a few email addresses, imo, it is better to just set them up in the modest email client (standard email installed). it will also save a few taps everytime you have to see the email.
FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS:
with symbian, you just need to go to email.nokia.com and install it.
but...on maemo, it is built in.
open email client

next (wait for it to search)
choose your region
service provider: Nokia Messaging
next
e-mail address: (to the nokia messaging account you have for login)
password: (to the nokia messaging account you have for login)

it will search...and probably have an error with server and then ask to have you put in all the advanced information. use this information below:
email address:
your nokia messaging login email
incoming:
mail.nokia.com

mail.nokia.com

with no securities used.

this should do it and then you will see it start to sync.
then you can go into the settings of nokia messaging and set up the sync settings and times.
now when you open your email client, you will see "Nokia Messaging"
when you tap on that, you will now see all the email addresses you have set up for nokia messaging.
you can add up to 10 email addresses on the nokia messaging....and i am currently using 6 on my integrated email client...so you can have at least 16 email address on your n900 now, probably up to 20.

Does Moto phone have any kind of pc suite to extract the contacts as vCard files? If true, you can copy them to the Nokia phone directly via PC Suite.
You can also use the Outlook sync feature to a) sync moto to outllook b) then sync back from outlook to Nokia phone.

When you open the email, you see the attachment listed with the other headers, right?
1) Highlight and select the attachment. The screen should clear and list only the attachment(s).
2) Select the attachment again, and it should download to the phone (or Options -> Download).
3) Select Options -> Save, and choose the memory card.
I used to carry an E71 (very similar phone), but had to do a few web searches to jog my memory. Does that help, or where does your experience differ? Weird attachment formats might still give you trouble...

Nokia 808 Email Client

i want to have a separate Email option for My live (windows mail ) id in my nokia 808 email client.
I have. nokia mail, yahoo, hotmail, gmail,active sync, other. but don't have any option for windows live mail. i know no one else have this option too. but it will be nice if nokia update the email client of nokia 808 same as they have in Lumia devices. i love the client of Lumia but features of Symbian belle and specially Nokia 808 is suitable mobile for me. so kindly let me know if it is possible in next few updates. right now i am using my live account in active exchange email but the email doesn't support html format. insted of showing image it always show links. i can configure my live account on hotmail email but it is not possilbe to sync the sent mail on hotmail and yahoo account . so i have to configure it on Active exchange. and active exchange do no support html. I guess nokia 808 is still a valued device. not for everyone but for me it is superb. so kindly help me out. Ok, seems fixed. They have changed something with the Bluetooth Connection. I have downloaded the latest version from Nokia of the iSync - plugin. Then I connected my phone via Bluetooth with my mac . My phone told me to insert a number. I inserted a number like: 112233 and on the mac appeared a popup window which asked me to type the same numbers. After this I could see my phone in the window of the bluetooth connection. Then I started iSync and it syncs all calendars and contacts.
