Nokia E66 net problem

Today I m gonna use internet from my e66.then there was a notify 'connection unavailable'.but I have net settings and account.i don't know why it happends...um so worry about it.

try again in a few hours and check the condition of your SIM card and any memory cards in your device. ideally i would take both cards out and the battery out and replace them in ten minutes and turn the phone back on again. it may only be a case of your network reception being a temporary blackout.

  • Nokia E66 problem with calling

    HI!
It is less than two weeks from purchasing a brand new mobile phone - Nokia E66. Although it is a good device for a lot of things a modern men needs nowadays, it has some dificulties when it is ordered to call someone.
It works fine for a day or two, but after some time calling a persone  from the adress book is impossible. Even if a number is displayed as an "unanswered call" and "yes" button is pressed everything from the screen dissapears. I am able to call someone only if I type a number manualy. Pressing the "yes" key works fine only if a number is typed manualy. Restarting the mobile phone also "repairs" the problem for a while.
I have the neewest software installed on the phone. What to do next?

i would consider reinstalling latest firmware and then using the code #2 from your home screen to finish the process. back up all your data and contacts if you don't have them on the sim card, remove the memory card when you do this and default code is 12345.
    1. *#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data)
Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list.
    2. *#7370# - Reformat your phone
    3. This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working. If the phone is dead proceed with reflash if not, turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
re-flash - hold the following buttons *, 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service.
You know what I love about you the most, the fact that you are not me ! In love with technology and all that it can offer. Join me in discovery....

  • Wlan Controller and NOKIA e66 problem

Hi all I want to ask some questions: I'mexperiencing these serious problem: when i place a voip call with E66 the voice is seriously chopped.
With 7921 the voice is ok.
I'm using: WLC 4402 (vers 4.2.207.0) nokia Call Connector 1.60 on nokia e66, UCM 6.1. I used the same configuration of the WLAN of 7921 as QoS and other specification.
The encryption is WPA (I tried with CCKM+tkip+LEAP as the 7921 work but i have also LEAP authentication problem but is not the most important thing now).
I don't know what to do.
    Can somebody help me?
    Thanks for your support

    Hi,
I upgraded to PR3 only my personal Phone and i made the tests with my e66.
    I disabled the 802.11b network.
The problem is very evident when i place a call nokia<->7921.
calls nokia<->other cisco phone (non wifi) is acceptable but not very good.
If I make a call using nokia<->PSTN lines is ok (It is quite like other phone).
If I disable CAC the situation is the same
I don't know if it is a roaming problem or other problems.
    Thanks

    Hello,
I got the E66 like last week.

    RM-343
I'm having a probelm with the Call logs. usualy, i should be able to go to call logs (missed calls, received, etc...) select the desired number and hit on dial; however, the phone does not respond. i press and nothing happens...
today it happened with the phone book... i searched for a user, and then pressed on dial but still nothing happens... i had to type the numbers....
is it a bug or i'm missing something?
BTW, i had to disable Rotate function as it is TOOOOOOOOO sensitive, a tiny move and it will switch the screen.

    Hi Zahi and All.
    I bought nokia E66 on August 1, 2008.
I got an issue very similar to the one reported by Zahi about call Logs: after some hour of use, I can't make any call neither starting from the call in the logs or from the phonebook: when I press the green button there's no way to make a phone call.
The only way to use the phone again is to restart the phone.
It sounds really like a bug...and i think that this is not an admissible bug for a phone that costs more than 400 Euros...
Hope that Nokia could fix asap the problem.
    Regds.

  • Nokia E66 Cable Connection Error

    Hi,
Am Using Nokia E66-1(08) ( RM-343) with the firmware version 410.21.010
I have a problem with connecting my mobile to PC via cable. The cable is working fine. ( I have checked it by connecting the other mobiles)
When I connect the cable, It asks me to select the options such as "Mass Storage", "PC-Suite" etc. But once I select "PC-suite" from the available options, mobile doesn't get connected to the PC. I cannot see the USB connection symbol in the right top side of my mobile.
Can anyone help me on this.
Should I go for repairing the connection port of my mobile?
OR It mite work with a firmware update\re-installation ?
But again, is the cable connection port of my mobile not working? But it detects that cable is connected, because when I connect the cable, it asks for the type of connection I want to make...
    Plzzzz help me out.
    Thanks,

  • Error code 12017,nokia e66 software updation fails

The following errors occours when i want to update nokia e66 software
i was updating my phone software, during updating something wrong done, due to this
1- My mobile phone files mmssync and contact group ds plugin corrupted.
2- When i update my phone software through nokia suit,  nokia suit try to install mmssync and contact group ds plugin but gives error msg files are corrupted.
3- when nokia suit download phone software and begin to install it,then usb cable disconneced then after some time connected.
please tell me what should i do.my phone model is nokia e66
Answare me as soon as possible.

I doubt that it will fix your firmware installation problem, but I did once have a problem where a "DS Plugin" became corrupt.  The fix is to manually delete the bad program(s) in Application Manager (possibly in Control Panel -> Application Manager -> Installed Apps).  This is perfectly safe.  Delete "Contact Group DS Plugin" and probably "MMSync", too, then reboot the phone and reconnect it to Nokia Suite.  The plugins should then install normally.  I hope that helps.

Hi I am also having the same problem.  I upgraded my firmware to version 500.21.009 and my gps is not working.  Anyone has a solution to this problem.  Will the latest firmware upgrade resolve this issue?
    @famous007
Presumably you have this version of Ovi Maps installed upon your E66:http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/maps-support/compatibility-and-download#/nokia-e66/
If you go to Menu > Tools > Settings > General > Positioning > Positioning methods - try temporarily disabling all except Integrated GPS, go outside away from tall buildings if feasible launch Ovi Maps and wait 20 - 30 minutes for first positional fix to be established.

  • E66 Maps problem

I started Maps, then I go to Options > Tools > Settings > Internet, and the application exits. Other 3 options (Navigation, Route and Map) are ok. Is the application corrupted? I tried re-installing Maps, but I meet with the same problem. Any solutions?

I had  the same problem with my Nokia E66.
I upgraded my phone´s software to version 500.21.009. It brought many good things including the latest Maps application. Maps application worked very well, but I also had problems with the Internet Settings  of the Maps application. When trying to access the Internet Settings the Maps application it crashed and kicked me out of the application.
However, when accessing the other Settings (navigation, route, map) that problem did not occur. The Internet settings of the Maps application are essential, because from there you can switch between “online” and “offline” modes.
I solved this problem (please note that this worked with my E66 and hopefully with others too) by resetting my phone to “factory settings”. I used the so called hard reset by entering *#7370# and the code 12345. It is essential, before doing this, to take a back up copy of your files/data/settings with the PC Suite Content copier. Note that the “hard reset” erases all your photos, messages, calendar notes etc.
After the “hard reset” the Internet Settings of the Maps application worked fine, but of course all my data had gone. Then I used the Content Copier to restore my data/files/settings etc. After this restore the problems with the Internet Settings of the Maps application came back.
I used the “hard reset” again, but this time when restoring my data/files/settings etc. I did not restore my old Settings. (You can choose in the Content Copier what to restore). After this restore (did not restore the old settings) the Internet Settings of the Maps application works just fine. The bad thing is that you do not have the settings you used to have, but it does not take so long to manually go through your phone and fix the settings as you like them.
PS. The “soft reset” *#7780# did not work with my phone. Further the dictionary (translator) does not work at all.  The application does not even open/start. It did not even open/start when I had the factory settings (not restored any data/files etc..)

  • US and EU Nokia E66 ???

    Hello,
I called Nokia Support over this issue /discussions/board/message?board.id=communicators&message.id=31395&query.id=909973#M31395
After giving them serial number they told me there are two type of Nokia E66, one for US and one for EU market. I don't know how I ended up with US in Europe.
Who can tell me what is latest version of software for EU and for US and is there any difference between them?
    damiri

The main difference between the hardware intended for US (North America) vs. Europe/Asia is the 3G (WCDMA/UMTS) frequencies supported by the phone.
However, since they are different devices, they'll have different firmware codelines. Most typically it seems that the US/North American firmware versions come behind the European/Asian corresponding models.
Overall (besides the different cellular frequencies), there're usually no other significant differences in the basic S60/Symbian software and default applications.
I don't know how you ended up with an US model in Europe, except if someone imported the US model, or a retailer accidentally ordered US models. If you got an US model, then the charger would also have an US wall plug, though.
And, of course, the supported language combinations vary between the models.
There might also be regional differences in supplied additional applications, sales box contents. And of course operator customization has some impact (if it is not an unlocked retail/open market unit).
When you "dial" *#0000# what RM-code is listed on your phone? The European model should be shown as "RM-343".

  • Nokia E66 three finger reset

my phone service provider is a different provider than this phone is programmed to work with.
ive tried doing the 3 finger deep reset, and even the *# whatever numbers it was reset. and the phone isnt responding to them in any way.
after the 3 finger reset, it just starts up normally and tells me my sim isnt recognized.
im located in israel, is it possible that this reset is done differently here? any ideas? thnks
Moderator's note: The title was amended as this post was moved from another thread.

Provided that you kept * 3 green keys depressed whilst powering on until Nokia "Shaking hands" logo appears device will have been reset to factory settings, but this has no bearing upon whether device is SIM locked to another provider.
