Nokia E7's is a failed mobile to handle emails on time . It delivers emails lately from 1min to upto 1 hour or even sometimes simply dont deliver until you do manual sync or open email , even the settings are on Soonest deliver ,
Recently i purchased E7 , i was using E72 from last 1.5 yrs, but now i got to know something about E7 and N8's OS Symbian^3 is that it lacks the real push email service. Im getting emails after 5 mins to 1hr , even the setting is Soonest . i tried every possible way, it doesn't work. E7 and N8 does not connect u with Nokia Messaging server , it has own built new email feature which is not really good, as Nokia messaging which was supported on my E72 , and believe me i was getting emails within not more than 5 to 10 seconds .
I've contacted Nokia's helpline n they said delete email and make again , all the procedures which a novice may know.. im quite old and this is my field so i tried every possible way from last 2 weeks it really is not working properly , emails are delivered sometimes within 5 mins , sometimes u've to run manual sync , even settings are auto and soonest delivery. I need Email sync like E72 , deliver in mobile as soon as mail arrives , and thats what i was getting in E72 , they are calling E7 a business mobile , i should say it a junk , when a main feature of business category 'Email' is not working properly then what kind of business mobile . Instead of improving Nokia is going down , lacking Apps support and GUI and such an important feature in a mobile these days 'Email'

Why Oh why didn't I look at this discussion group before getting the E7.

I purchased it to replace my E90 that had failed after 3 years but what a mistake I've made.  I paid £300+ and it has a very slow calendar which makes it unusable as a business phone, it downloads my email accounts (4 of them) then deletes the emails before I can read them.  I cannot recommend this phone to anyone.  It is "NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE" I intend to try and get my money back, but I imagine this is going to be very hard.
I have had Nokia smart phones for years from the Communicator but no more.  I will be purchasing an iPhone 4 which I know will do the calendar and emails without fault.  My other reason for getting the E7 was to use the spreadsheet function.  Yes it will use spreadsheets but if it's larger than 10 rows and 10 columns then you're in for an exciting time trying to get around it.  Entering information is very difficult.  I thought it was the Quick Office installed software so downloaded (and purchased) the full Quick Office - huge mistake!  It would not load and they could not sort it out and (thankfully) gave me my money back.  The phone also freezes several times a day.
If you are thinking of getting one, my advice, DON'T BOTHER and save yourself a great deal of time and heartache.
