Nokia E71 and Blueant Z9I bt handsfree

Does anybody have experience with the combination of E71 and Blueant Z9i? I am experiencing problems with voice dialling and also with connection stability. It sometimes disconnect during calls.
I updated the handfree firmware but this did not help.

it is truly disgraceful that every new model that i have bought from nokia has had the same bluetooth issues. the phone will connect and work fine for a time then the connection fails and reconnects every few seconds. it has happened with every version of n95 i have owned, the n82, n78, e71, etc. i know it is not the headset as it works with other makes of phones and it will work with my nokias after a firmware update. what a joke

After a re-install of OS X 10.5.8 uninstalled the E71 in iSync and moved it out of the bluetooth-device list first and completely re-installed it using the bluetooth manager (SystemPreferences/Hardware).
No extra thirdparty-software involved and ever since no problems.

Nokia E71 and Pioneer CD-BTB200

The nokia e71 connects successfully to Pioneer CD-BTB200 Bluetooth device, but when you try to transfer your phone book to the pioneer device, the bluetooth is disconnected!!!
any idea on how to transfer the phone book?!

I had exactly the same problem with a Nokia E71 and a Pioneer DEH-P700BT. I already contacted Pioneer without success. My Nokia is Hutchison 3G branded with software level: 100.07.76. First connection works fine, after switching the car off no more connection possible. Always connects and disconnects in the next second. Today I tried the following which solved the problem (however it works...). I paired the Pioneer with another E71 which has software level 110.07.127 and is T-Mobile branded. The pairing just worked fine, also after turning the car off and on again, both devices were working together. Afterwards I deleted the T-Mobile E71 again and tried again with my own E71: Now also my E71 works perfectly together with the Pioneer. However, phonebook transfer still doesnt work but thats not really a problem because the phone is held in front of me so I can see who is calling. I have no idea how this worked but maybe other ppl can try the same. Maybe your local Nokia Service Center can update your phone software.

Exact same machine, exact same problem!
I use mine for DJing - and as you can imagine this isn't the time of year for this to happen - pick up a new pro on Tuesday.
However if there's a fix, it'd be nice to have a back up machine ( I never thought I'd need one to be honest)
I've looked on the net and most people are saying GPU issues.
Gonna strip it down and take the logic board out. Might look at reflowing it ( got nothing to lose) or see if I can track down a logic board (although buying a new MBP was probably a cheaper option!)

Nokia E71 and NMT Bookmark synchronization

Hi,
I just got a brand new E71 and using a Mac 10.5.4. Whenever I connect the device to my mac, it says sending bookmarks and after sending NMT throws up a message : The following bookmarks transfers errors have occurred. If the error is not permanent, you can try starting the transfers again
Nokia E71 Internal Synchronization Error.
Tried removing NMT completely from the hard drive.
Downloaded a fresh copy of NMT from the Web.
Updated NMT.
Tried again with no go.
Very disappointed at this stage, thinking that E71 will work with the mac with no issues . :-(

Nokia E71 and Company Email

Can someone help me with the correct settings for the E71 for me to access my work server:
we use a doman for mobile email: mobile.company.com, we have an exchange server which has a name or an IP address. Also we can access using www.company.com/exchange on the web, I have tried as many different settings as I can, my IT dept are stumped. I can kind of get it to connect but then nothing.
I sometime gets connected then invalid password to.
I am on 3 Mobile and their tech support can't help
Any advise would be appreciated.

Basically Nokia's messaging app is completely flawed. If you visit www.seven.com and try their BETA program you'll find you get push email and it works fine on the E71. Unfortunately Nokia's email set up just doesn't work properly as it tries to be intelligent but just doesn't realise that many people's email domain does not necessarily host their email!!
It's very frustrating because I would love to use Nokia solutions on my Nokia device...but alas I cannot...shame.

When you did a soft reset, your phone usually asks you for a security code, which by default is 12345. Use the code you used for this and it should unlock. If you have forgotten this, you will need to bring it to a local Nokia Care point with a proof of purchase to have it unlocked.

Nokia E71 (and probably all other models) album ar...

The solution for Nokia's music player to show album art stored in tag is to change the picture type in Windows Media Player (WMP)...
add the mp3 file you want to transfer to the WMP library,
right click,
Advanced Tag Editor,
go to picture tab,
change Picture type to Cover (front),
Apply,
Drag and drop file to memory card.
If you wont to to it for multiple files, you can, you just have to delete all previous album art stored in the tag.

Pairing problems between my new nokia n82 and blue...

I tried pairing up my n82 and bh-208 last night, but couldn't get it to work. The n82 recognised other bluetooth devices. My bluetooth was definitely working, as I had used it earlier with another mobile fone. I've followed all the instructions and paired other bluetooth headsets before, but no luck this time, even after trying several times. Any suggestions?

i had same problem, i just kept chimping about until it finally gave in and connected. no idea what happened, possibly that you can connect TO the phone, but it won't connect TO OTHERS, but y, that is the question. come on NokNok....what's the fix?

Nokia E71 and Isync-Delete my contacts after syncing

Hey guys really need help! after syncing with entourage some of my contacts got deleted for no reasons. I am not sure how many but quite a few got deleted.
Can I know how can I stop this from happening and sometimes it duplicates the events.

Syncing Entourage with iCal and Address Book and then onto your phone increases the likelihood of duplication or corruption of data.
In general, the less things you are syncing with the better, so consider switching to Address Book and iCal rather than using Entourage for best results.
Clicking "Reset Sync History..." in iSync's Preferences may resolve your current issue, but make sure you backup first and keep regular backups in the future to avoid data loss, if this happens again.

My Nokia E71 automatically deleted/removed some in...

Good afternoon all. I had recently purchased a Nokia E71 and installed quite a bit of applications: From themes to instant chat Java based midlets signed and unsigned to various java based games (jar/jad). The problem is that my phone has some-how automatically removed some of these applications which I had installed without my knowledge?? I tried searching for them everywhere and cannot find them. They are just GONE!? When I tried downloading and installing 1 of those applications called Mxit it says "can't intall". This is extremely weired! All or most of my applications are saved on my memory card-I don't know if this has anything to do with it? But then again why would it only remove some and not all of them?
I am going to perform a hard reset and format my memory card and see what happens...
Please if this has happened to anyone else could you please give me an explanationas to how or why would such a thing like this happen?
It either could be a virus but then my anti-virus should pick it up??
Or if my phone was hacked by an external blue-tooth device doesn't my phone's blue-tooth have to be on for that to happen? or Visible?
Maybe 1 of the apps I installed was faulty?
NB. I did not update the firm-ware recently by the way for apps to go missing..

I have a Nokia E71 and cannot send emails from the gmail or pop 3 accounts set up on the device.
I can recieve emails and I know the settings are correct for the incoming and outgoing servers.
A google search has shown a number of people had this problem but I can't see any solutions.
An hour on the phone to Nokia care resulted in checking I have the correct system software on the phone ( I do).
Can any one help this problem?

Sometimes, internet service providers block access to any SMTP servers but their own over their networks. If you are sending via mobile internet then that could be the problem, try with your network operator's SMTP server (I have two mailboxes set up on my phone, one using my ISP's SMTP for when I connect via WLAN and one using the Proximus server for when I use GPRS/3G).

ive got a Nokia E71, and ive set up my Email client to my gmail account and whenever I reply to an email the text box area were you type your message in always appears with the Recipient message and i dont want there message so i have to delete it and it takes for ever as i have to push the delete button everytime, i want to know if theres an easier way of doing this???

I've not seen a setting for not including the original message, but if you're holding the delete key down to delete the text letter by letter, there's a quicker way - hold the shift key down, and press the down button until you reach the end, that will select all the text, then just press delete once.

Does anyone have any news on the Nokia E71 and its release date in the UK?
I am currently an iPhone user, but with the 3G iPhone about to hit the shelves, I am surveying my options as to go with that or go back to a Nokia which I have always used. Don't get me wrong, the iPhone is a great phone, but past the glossy PR exterior, it does lack Nokia sophistication.
I am a business phone user and the e61 and e61i did fit my needs much better, just without the 'wow' factor the iPhone offers.
Do you think the e71 will bridge this gap?
(also anyone know about Good Mobile Messaging compatibility with e71?)
