Nokia E71X Profiles query

Hi I wanted to know if it's possible to select "OUTDOOR" in Profiles and still get the date shown on the desktop. Because I have selected it as it's the loudest but don't see the date on the desktop. Only the time. I can see the date and time under NORMAL profiles, but NORMAL isn't that loud compared to OUTDOOR. I wonder why Symbian/Nokia had to design these to be different in terms of what is visible on the desktop.
Also when I create TO-DO notes using the CALENDER feature, these show on my desktop - is there anyway to hide these notes?

You can write your own .opml files, maybe, containing the RSS feeds of the podcasts you want to get?

Nokia E71x browser no longer loading content corre...

I have had my Nokia E71x since September and until now everything has worked fine. A couple of days ago when I tried to use the browser, it started loading the content differently. So now when I goto my AT&T Media Net homepage, the page is off centered and no longer loads pages with lots of content correctly. Other webpages like google will load fine.
I took the phone into an AT&T device service facility and tried to master reset the phone. That did not work. Then we exchanged the phone for a different one and that did not work. We switched SIM cards and everything but could not figure out what was going on. We tried multiple phones and the same problem came up with each different phone.
Is anyone else out there having this problem with their Nokia E71x on AT&T?
Anyone have a solution to the problem?

Nokia Energy Profiler 1.23 will not install

Hi All,
I've been trying to install the Nokia Energy Profiler V1.23 but keep getting "Update Error" - any idea on how to get this to work, or is there a better option for displaying things like Cell ID info, signal strength etc?

Hi cjlim, I downloaded the file from OVI store and have downloaded it a couple of extra times, all with the same result. I followed your link and had to register as a different person as my Nokia pwd didn't work. Once logged on I've downloaded the file, reinstalled it but still comes up with "Update Error"!

Can't connect to WLAN with Nokia E71x

Hi,
I have Nokia E71x and I can't connect to home WLAN, on screen it says that routher is found but when I wan't to go to Internet trough WLAN (Start web browsing ) it says WLAN: Unable to connect, Invailed WPA pre-shared key. Need help.

Check the router if you have set a password or any changes that you have made on it. This is because if your router is a secured connection (asking for a code or password), you have to make sure that you have entered the correct password.

Hirarchical profiler query

Dear experts,
After going through the oracle documentation on hirarchical profilar i have executed the procude myself.
After that process i have some data in following three tables
1> dbmshp_runs;
2> DBMSHP_FUNCTION_INFO;
3> DBMSHP_PARENT_CHILD_INFO;
I am not able to understand how they are going to help me to understand where my query is taking more than expected time to execute.
i had also ran the command plshprof . Some html generated but still i have no idea about the utility of those html files.
Could you please help me.

Nokia Energy Profiler and Battery indicator proble...

I have purchased nokia E71, but battery last very short (max. 2 days). I have installed Energy Profiler yo see how much power my phone uses in active anda idle mode and it showed in active: 0.17 and in idle 0.04, the batt. voltage is 3.77 and batt. must last aprox. 110 hours. but phones own indicator shows different it shows only 2 bars and after maybe six hours it's off... Can you give me an advice how can I correct the phones batt. indicator?

First of all, upgrade your mobile's firmware. For that.. Uninstall Nokia PC Suite and NSU from your PC and restart it. Now download the latest version of Nokia PC Suite and NSU from Nokia website and install it in your PC and restart it again. Now turn off firewall and antivirus software and connect your mobile with PC. Now backup all the data of your mobile using Nokia PC Suite backup utility (for safety, if any problem persist). Switch off your mobile, remove memory card and restart your mobile. Connect it with your PC using original data cable. Now run NSU and do the procedure as written in NSU. Don't run any application in your PC or mobile. Don't touch your mobile untill "successful update" message appear in NSU. After complete the update process, switch off your mobile, insert your memory card and restart. This will solve all firmware bug.

Nokia E71x Address Book Issues

I have had my E71x for a little over two weeks now and the Address Book is acting screwy.
When I go to select the memory that I want to view, it reverts to showing both Phone and Sim memories creating a dubious duplicaition of contacts.
And yes, before I get out of the settings it shows that I have selected the phone memory only to view but it reverts back to the phone and sim memories when I exit the settings.
Help! My address book is cluttered and I've had to resort to backing up my contacts on my memory card.

My Nokia E71x charger is making noise

Hi!
I just got my E71x, everything great so far, however the charger during work make strange noise. It sound like little whistle. Should I replace my charger? Is there something wrong with it?

I have noticed, not only with E71 but all the Nokias that I used before, that the charger makes a slight humming noise when it is plugged in without the phone connected to it, but it doesn't make any noise when charging the phone.
I would recommend, specially if the noise is loud, to take it back to the Nokia Care Sentre to be replaced.

OIM 9.1.0.2 Resource Profile Query

I need to get the usr_key or any info on the users in OIM that have a certain condition. I have a number of OID resources for users that have a status or 'provisioned' but when looking at the resource tasks the system validation is set to 'cancelled'. Due to this, updates are not flowing to these users. I am looking through the tables to try to find the resource task list and the status info so I can find the system validation cancelled and location those users. Does anyone have a query to search through and find all users with system validation = canceled and resource status as provisioned? Any help you can give would be appreciated.

I'm positive there's a great way to do it with SQL, but you'll need to look at 4 tables:
1) OBJ (Objects) - Here you are looking in OBJ_NAME for 'OID User', once found get the OBJ_KEY value for the row.
2) OST (Object Status) - In this table, you can find all the statuses for the OID User resource based on the OBJ_KEY value. Look for the applicable ones and get the OST_KEY value for each row.
3) OIU (Object Instance for Users) - Now you can query this table for all results where OST_KEY equals the desired values as found in step 2.
4) USR (Users) - Here you can get the User ID's (usr_login), User Key (usr_key) or any other value for users to help with the query.

Nokia E71x Copy and Paste Wireless Key

I have my long and obscure WEP encryption key for my wireless network in a text document on my phone. I can open the document and copy the key, but it won't let me paste it into the "Pre-Shared Key" input box.
Can the OS copy and paste between different applications?

Nokia E63 email query

Hi, just wondering if anyone would be able to help me with what is no doubt a simple enough query that's been puzzling me for a while.
My email account is set up so that it receives and sends email fine from my phone, but whenever I receive mail no tone sounds and neither does it show up on screen the same way it would as when I receive a text message. It used to do this, but it does no longer, now when I receive an email I just see a small "@" in the top corner of the display, I was wondering how I can change this so that it actually appears on the main screen next to where the texts/missed calls show up.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Nokia 6300 bluetooth query

hi i have a nokia 6300 and am trying to figure bluetooth out i have paired with my wifes phone and she can prowse my files but when i go to paired devices and select her phone the only options i have available is 1.assign short name 2.auto-connect, no confirmation 3. delete pairing 4. pair new device. how can i browse her files like she can browse mine?? i have also been to data transfer section and added new transfer contact and when i try to syncronize it says bluetooth connection failed both mine and her bluetooth connection are active and are listed for all too see and she has authorized me she has the samsung d900i if any1 can help i would appreciate it thanks

Those .inf files you are talking about are modem drivers only.
You install them if you don't have PC Suite or Ovi Suite installed and you still want to use your phone as a modem for your computer.
To me your problem sounds more like a bluetooth stack incompatibility in your PC.
You have an Asus, so I guess you are running on Toshiba bluetooth.

How to unlock nokia e71x

Hi i need to know how to insall unsinged softwae into my e71x...ihave tried helloox.....failes...and eventried bindpa and also failed..if you guys can please help methat would be great!

if you want to make it sim free, not sure why, it has firmward made specifically for ATT, then you would need to get the unlock code form ATT or take it to a cell phone store that can unlock it for you.
then you can put any sim in it and so long as the network for that sim maches the frequencies in the handset, it will work.
but the oriningal question was answered, though because this is a e71x for ATT, i cant say all or what software would be allowed like a factory unlocked unit would be able to.

Nokia E63 - Debranding query.

Hi guys just a litle query,
i wanted to debrand my e63 so i can use the latest firmware.
The phone is currently locked to 3 so i will have to unlock it first etc...
im planning to use 3 n my phone after unlocking and just wanted to no if the services such as "my3" and "3s" own web portal would still function and be available as before?
