Nokia E72 email problem

Has anyone got any ideas why my new Nokia E72 will not exchange with my tiscali email addresses.
If the phone is not connected to tiscali, mail to the laptop is normal.
If the phone is connected to tiscali, all my messages are hidden and I do not get mail on the phone.
if I switch my laptop OFF I can get messages on the phone normally.
Its a choice of phone or laptop, I dont seem to be able get both at the same time
they are pop3 accounts on windows XP, passwords are aligned, as I said, if either is switch OFF the other works fine, so settings ARE good. they just wont both work at the same time.
something is incompatible.

any idea if I can do that online, waiting for talktalk to answer phones is a nightmare

Nokia E72- email service not working anymore

Hi there,
I recently bought a Nokia E72 for 300 bucks (euros). It looked like a perfect phone and everything seemed to work very well since two days ago.
I did NOTHINg but suddenly both my yahoo mail and gmail account on mobile does not work, not receiving anything.
When I tries to delate both the email account a message like this : "you must be connected to delete account" appears.
I re-did anything restoring the initial settings and trying to re-configurate the accounts. It seems like the authomatic configuration doesn't work at all..when I type email address and password it searches for settings but then anything happens.
anybody has the same problems? I'm very disappointed because , so far, nokia never let me down..that's why I choosed a nokia phone instead of a blackberry.

I was facing the same problem.
Try this.
Suppose you are trying to configure gmail account, then select gmail and enter username/password then it comes back to the main screen ( list of type of accounts ). Again select gamil and enter username/password.. Since I have earlier set up my gmail account, so it was asking the email and password I used for the first time to use nokia messaging application. If you don't remember yours, go to email.nokia.com and there you can try out you possible email/password combinations.
Also you can edit settings on email.nokia.com for each email account. My email account in Nokia E72 wasn't updating. Then I checked these settings and found the problem.
Try if this helps.

Nokia e72 email with low battery

Hi i have a nokia e72 with two mail boxes.
I want to have the mailboxes always connected, but i cant find the option to stays connected with low battery.
In my previous phone (nokia e71) i have this option,

Welcome to the Nokia forum.
When you go to Menu > Email > Settings > Select the email account > When to Sync, you will be able to set the sync interval. There's currently no option in the E72 to keep the phone connected to the internet when the battery is low, so the email account will not be synced in such a situation. This is to make sure the battery will last as long as possible.

Nokia E72 Internet Problems.

I'm not all too clued up on phones, but I'm having a problem with the internet on my Nokia e72. When I click internet, I want it to ask me how to connect (WLAN, GPRS etc.), but despite the fact I have set it to do so, it always connects via my home wifi. It's frustrating, because it tries to do so even when I'm out, and I want it to connect via Orange GPRS, and it means that I can't use my internet when I'm out. Help?

Go to Menu > Ctrl. panel > Settings > Connection > Destinations > Internet - you want WLAN = Priority 1 - is Orange GPRS = Priority 2? If you want to change order highlight access point go to Options > Organise > Change priority - highlight position you want it moved to and press centre of "D" pad to make it move.
When you get to know your E72 better there is an application Smart Connect where you can also prioritise access point for use by applications marked in screenshot:

NOKIA C3 Emailing problem

I am unable to use my nokia c3 email i tried logging in using my correct credentials and it gives this message "invalid user name or password" but this is the user name and pass word i use on my nomarl email what do i do pls

I HAVE THIS PHONE FOR A WEEK AND I AM GOING TO THROW IT AT THE WALL. The main reason I bought it was for facebook and email facilities. I can get on to facebook no problem but email keeps saying cannot connect and it says offline in the top left hand corner. I have pressed so many buttons at this stage | dont actually remember what I have done. I went to store where I bought it and the girl said something about codes etc. It made no sense to me. I went back and a different girl said i had to download the ovi suite, I did that too and still no show. I am begining to hate this phone. It doesnt do exactly what it says on the tin!

Nokia Push Email Problems

I am using Nokia E63, where i have downloaded Nokia Push Email software from Nokia Email Website, after downloading i am trying to configure my Gmail Email A/c but i am not able to configure it, and it give error message or it hacks my phone.
GPRS on my phone is working, and i am able to visit other site also on my E63.
please help me to solve my problem as i want to urgenly configure and access my email on my E63.

I'm sure someone can help you better than I can, but I will say that I do have Nokia Messaging working well with Gmail on my E63---but over 3G. It never seems to work that well when all I get is a GPRS connection. But this may be my network (3 UK) which highly depreciates all non 3G traffic. I don't know. (You do get data, right? I mean you can browse the web over your connection?) If I remember right, I can get it to work over WiFi as well. Push email doens't work so well in this case, since I wouldn't normally stay always in WiFi range, so it's not a long term solution. But getting anything to work with your Gmail account is a start.
I suspect by Nokia Push email you mean "Nokia Messaging" (which is probably what you want) and not "Mail for Exchange" (which is probably not what you want) , but you don't specify. I would say: spend some time googling for good instructions. Try them carefully (again), and then report back exactly what you did, what you expected and what in fact happened. You request is at the moment too inspecific for anyone to offer anything but the most vague of suggestions.

Problems nokia e72 email setup

I am using a WI-FI connection. When i start the e-mail wizard either using it form the home screen or for Menu>>>email>>>define new mailbox. The wizard asks me which connection i want to use , i select a wifi connection then it opens an interface where i can select ovi mail, Gmail ,windows live hotmail , mail for exchange ,lotus notes Traveler or other , if i select either Gmail or hotmail i enter my ID and password it starts detecting email settings then it returns to the same interface again, i enter my email and password again ,and again the same problem(the IMAP in my gmail account is enabled) . i have a valid nokia messaging account using my gmail account account I couldn't activate it when i received the SMS the problem was could not connect to server try again later. When I configure my email manually without using the wizard it works but it didn't deliver my emails instantly I should select an updating interval every 5 or 15 min or... Even thought it didn't works I should update my Inbox manually.

Thanks for the solution.. Actually, i purchased a new E-72, few months back. And since then, i was not able to configure my mail with handset with Wifi connection. However, afterwards, i inserted a Sim enabled with GPRS and configured all my mails with it. I synchronized all the mails. Thereafter, i again inserted GPRS disabled sim and tried to access mail through Wifi. I was successful doing that and was able to send and receive real time mails through my device. only one thing is to be kept in consideration while using mail through Wifi.. You always wud need too change the access point of connection for mail. that can be done through follwoing path:
When you are in your mail just go to Options - Settings - Account Settings - Account Information - Access point.
After going to access point, you will need to set your desired access point of Wifi.
then you will be able to access your mails.

Nokia e72 Messaging problem stuck in a loop

I've been stuck for over 2 hours trying to get my e72 to setup messgeging but when I go through the wizard and enter in my email adress Gmail and Yahoo after password I get put back to the setup process, and I tried adding a pop it took it but then it wouldn't work.
I tried to log into email.nokia.com/account/home.action but non of my email address passwords worked. I then created an ovi mail account verified it all and that won't work on email.nokia.com/account/home.action I have also tried the pop address that went in bust doesn't send a receive and still no go.
This should be a 4 step process and it's taking a long time and still no go.
Does any one know how to get past this area?

When using the E72 device in offline mode it's not possible to setup a mailbox for yahoo, hotmail, gmail or other provider (data plan is needed) . This is only valid if setting up the mailbox for the first time. If the user has already set up one mail box with SIM card inserted, after that it's possible to do it in offline mode. Means that you cannot create first mailbox using the Wi-Fi.
After the set up email has done, the synchronisation can be done on the offline mode using Wifi connection.
If setup wizard is running on the loop, you should check that your Data connection (Internet) is ok, and you have entered correct email info.

Nokia E5 Email problems

For several months I have been able to use the email facility for Yahool (BTInternet)
using the following settings and via Wifi.
I/C Mail Server plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com Port 995 (default) SSL enabled and
O/G Mail Server plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com Port 465 (default) SSL enabled.
Like I say this has always worked first time every time for my main and sub-address accounts except for the last month.
I sporadically get 'unable to log-in message'.
If I try later it will work.
It is extremely random as to when I am successful or not - there is no pattern to it.
I have done all the phone resets and rebuilt all the email settings time and time again.
My Wifi works fine so it is down to either the phone or Yahoo.
Am I alone with this problem?

Then I guess that's your only option.
This kind of "login pages" using the web may be convenient for a one-off web browsing session in a hotel or so, but if you want to use a WLAN regularly, you need a "real" one, i.e. one that supports standard authentication systems.
I would never expect Nokia (or any other brand) to support such kind of **bleep** authentication systems, as they are not standardized.

Nokia x6 email problems - Help!!

Help please. I have had my nokia x6 for a few months & recently had problems with text messages. That has now been sorted with doing software updates. However now, with the nokia emails, they keep coming in time & time again. I open them, have even deleted them & then back they come - between 20 -60 at a time. It's really infuriating. Any advice anyone...pleaseeeee??

yes it was down to yahoo i just used there online live chat to fix it ,it was a pain getting the mails .check out tiscali website and see if they can help .

Nokia C3 Email Problem

I bought a new Nokia C3 two weeks before. From the first day onwards i am trying to login to my personal mail throough the inbuilt mail application. But I got an error message like 'Communication Error. Try Latter'.But I was able to take my mail throght browser.I gave my hand set to nokia care and they reinstalled the software.Again I got the the same message and they told it may be the problem with the nokia server and will be OK with in two days.In between I communicated nokia support and they also told the same reason. Yesterday I contacted the nokia support and one technical guy named Sachin attended my call. He asked me to create an account in Nokia Mail with my personel mail id through the portal http://email.nokia.com/acount.
As per his instruction I visited the above portal but I couldnt find my hadset Nokia C3-00 in the list of supported handset. In the list I couldnt find a handset which use S40 platform like Nokia C3.
Now my question is Will my handset support Nokai Message?.
Then Why I am not able to login to my personel mail even after two weeks of discussion with nokia tech team.
I bought this handset for using my mail in moble. But I am really worried about this issue.
Even after spending this much effort and time I didnt get any correct support from nokia.

E72 Email problem, another one.

I am trying to connect a E72 to a Talktalk Mail server. I have 2 email adresses registered on a Tiscali site managed by Talktalk.
I can connect, send and recieve mail from one address, but not the other.
When I try to connect to the second address, the phone shows 'connected' but it keeps asking for the password and will not transmit.
When this happens, strangely, it locks up both email address on the server, which then keep asking for their passwords.
If I switch the phone off, the email address eventually repair themselves and begin transmitting messages again, but the second mail address always remains silent to the phone.
The O2 shop cannot fix it and neither can I. Can anybody help, please
