Nokia E75; QWERTY Keyboard problem.

Hello,
recently I bought a Nokia E75. I have been playing around with it working the functions ect and realised that the slide QWERTY keyboard is not calibrated correctly.
Keys like ? when pressed turn out to be :
I have downloaded sogou on my phone to correct most of the keys. While still the second row of blue keys are still incorrect. The rest of the keypad is correct. Is there anyway to fix this?

Yesterday I reflashed my E75 to solve a different problem (OVI map not opening). After this my keyboard behaves as explained by you. However I notice that key sequence for ' ; ' produces '?'. Also if I type '$', I get '&' and am yet to find sequence to produce '$'. I suspect something to do with selection of charcter set while flashing.
Did you get any solution?

  • E75 qwerty-keyboard problems in new fw 202

    Hi
I've updated to new 201/202 firmware.
In addition to all the software problems, mentioned in this forum, now I got very annoying qwerty-keyboard
When I type fast, it misses some characters. In release notes to the fw, it called "improved accuracy".
I understand, that Nokia really tried to improve something, but it went completely wrong.
Maybe it works good in English keyboard layout, but I use Russian, and that new feature is real hell.
In Russian there're many words with 3-4 nearest charachters (example: "п", "р", "о", etc - it is "g", "h", "j" in English). So when i type a word, I get only 50% of letters! So I have to backspace and retype slowly.. That's really sucks
In old 110 fw my typing speed was much better, than now.
Is there any chance to switch off that "accuracy improvement"?
    Thanks
    Alex

    Same problem for me!
    Previous firmware problem:
    - "System error" displayed when exiting from browser (need manual battery remotion!)
    - Impossible to associate the BT accessories if there are more than 200 messages in memory (crazy!!!)
    Current (202):
    - Very bad qwerty keyboard typing! (almost unusable!)
Are this firmwares tested by you or are all tested by the users?
I hope this problem will be fixed shortly: after the (slow) N73, this E75 isn't better so much: too many software problems! I'm thinking to sell it...

  • Nokia E75 Bluetooth printing problems

Hi has anyone had problems with their E75 when trying to print webpage's to a bluetooth printer. It prints but only prints the url tab with the web adress.
    Does anyone have a fix?

I recently bought a JVC KD-BT11 which has a similar connection issues as described with my Nokia 5800 (v25).
When I make a bluetooth connection between the phone and the JVC and use it as a handsfree speaker, after some call time (between 1-5 min), the audio quality will drop rapidly until the bluetooth disconnects. Once the bluetooth disconnects, I will not be able to reconnect between the JVC and the 5800 until I delete the pair on both devices and pair between them again. This is a highly annoying and cannot be done while driving!
I wonder if there is a way to force the 5800 to work in a compatibility mode (force BT1.2 only).
Maybe it is related to this discussion.

  • Nokia E6 backlit keyboard problem!

With brightness set to minimum and level 2, backlit keyboard doesn't work!
Please fix this big probem asap!

several years ago I wrote a post about the business model E70. I was so **bleep** off. certificates didn't work, vpn had to be configured only with provessional software or manually editing sis files. switching to landscape took forever and the first device update came 6 months after I bought it. Many more problems. Small yet annoying. Out of memory when browsing etc.Of course my post was deleted
When I read this board i see myself here. As far as I can see nothing changed. At least not for the better. By the way that E70 is still in use. I got a new battery from ebay and now my girlfriend is using it as a second phone. I bought her C7 for last christmas. The phone was practically unusable. It hanged so often that most of the time she was unreachable without noticing. It hanged so badly that even the clock was going out of sync. That was perhaps the only nokia i've seen where hardware power button didn't work when it hanged. I sold it 2 months ago for half the price I got it and you can't imagine how happy I was She is now with an android device. A toy, but a working one.
I got myself Nokia E52 when the device hit the market. On day 2 it was returned for repairs because of random reboots. 3 months later i got a refund (yes i know, it's just the way it is around here) and boutht E72. Fortunately I was aware of the problematic navigational button so I tested it first for a week. I must admit this is a perfectly working phone. For some reason it can't connect to the corporate Voip but that's the only problem i got with it. Well the only serious. IT's a fact that i couldn't get working navigation program for almost 8 months. The map for the country I live in was too simple for navigation. Materials and body is a joke compared to E71 but anyways it works. I was planning to get myself something new - E7, N8 but those bit screens are just not my type. So E6 Is my new hope. Of course I'll test / research it a lot before I get it. Sorry guys but that's the story. you spend 600-700$ just to become a beta tester. If you buy the flagman you get updates. If not - you wait for months. You will not get support from Nokia here. I know the brand is in your blood. The same here. Just do a lot of researching before bying a phone. Don't trust the reviews. They are often done measuring basic functions and they never report bugs. Go google for problems. There is the truth . Ah and never buy immediatly after release or even preorder Nokia phone. I guess much time will pass untill Nokia release a completely working device.
    Sorry for the offtopic.

  • NOKIA E75 usb cover problem for me

    Hello,
I can't seem to know how to open the usb cover to connect the data cable.I mean I NEARLY BOKE MY PREVIOUS PHONE N85s cover as in the E75 case I don't know from where to pull the cover as it is not written in the user guide and I don't want to take chances as after my past experience I am very suspicious.I know it is a silly inquiry but if someone can help me I reaaly would appreciate it. if a link or pic to show how please. Thanks

I am having the exact same issue.
The Ovi store was installed first via the N8 built in software, then uninstalled and reinstalled using the latest Ovi version from Nokia's webinstaller download, but still no success with the Ovi connection.
The other file transfer modes work fine 'media transfer & 'mass storage'  but the Ovi store is still unable to run due to Windows VISTA not being able to locate the drivers for the N8 software. (despite being installed!)
After accepting the prompt for Windows to locate the drivers... The same error as RayMond_021 screen shot appears.
    "COMPUTER SAYS.... NO!"
Super frustrating! A brand new $800 phone and I can't even access the promised software (Ovi maps) that encouraged me to buy it!?
    PLEASE HELP US!!!!!

  • Nokia e75 balkan pack

    hello
last week i got nokia e75, but the problem was that it dont support the SLO language (balkan) so they told me that i need the number of the BALKANS language pack so i can have slovenian language on the phone.
so i will be happy in greatfull if any one can send me or wright here the number of the balkans pack
Thank you all for your help

Nokia does not provide a way for the end user to add languages. You have to put your trust in your local Nokia service point, as psychomania says.

  • Nokia e75 calling problem with HONDA handsfree sys...

    Hello,
i am having problem with calling operations in my Honda Accord 2009. I paired the device correctly and successfully via bluetooth and also imported phone book, but when i try to call a name from address book, the system says: CALLING, but then nothing happens and the phone's Keyboard locks in that time and I have to try again manually.
    Any ideas.

i just received a reply from honda:
Thank you for contacting us.The Nokia E75  has been tested and unfortunately is not compatible with your Honda Accord 2009.To guarantee an compatibility as high as possible we use only standardised Bluetooth protocols for our system.
Unfortunately some manufacturer use slightly modified protocols, which might cause the incompatibility.
Awesome now what can i do?
The phone is new, so clearly i am not going to buy a new one.
Is there any way to get it working, maybe some kind of tweak or something.
thank you for any additional replies.

  • Problems using Devanagari-Qwerty keyboard in Mountain Lion

I have  all the discussions about Devanagari-Qwerty and have looked at and used all the websites that give instructions. But most do not apply to a Mac using 10.8.3. Nor do I get any answers from the people at Apple-Care when I phone them. My current questions are the following:
    1. What is the exact default font that is attached to the Devanagari-Qwerty keyboard in Mountain Lion? It is definitely NOT Devanagari Sangam MN, and it is NOT Devanagari MT. I cannot even use Devanagari MT in Mountain Lion on any of my programs, such as Microsoft Word or Adobe InDesign.
    2. I have spent the last few hours trying to figure out how to type one of the Sanskrit vowels that transliterates as "kree" or "kreem: ऋ़ं According to all the instructions I have read, theoretically this should work by typing option+r, shift+f, shift+m. But this does not work In Microsoft Word or InDesign, it just types a halant after the "kr"
    3. I cannot figure out how to turn on or use any advanced typography characters in any Sanskrit font with Mountain Lion. The instructions I have read do not apply to Mountain Lion.
I have been wasting many hours! Please help me!

    Dear Tom,
Thank you so much for responding to my questions. I have more questions:
    1. InDesign says it does support Indic scripts:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/vikrant/2012/05/indesign-cs6-indic-support-and-preference s/
I have followed their instructions and have turned on that script in their program. Yet I still have problems.
    2. What is the default font that is connected to the Devanagari Qwerty and Devanagari language keyboards on Mountain Lion? Or is it different for each program? MSW appears to default to "Sanskrit 2003." Text Edit appears to default to "Devanagari Sangam MN." InDesign appears to default to "Adobe Devanagari." Yet I cannot actually choose any of these fonts and use them in MSW or InDesign. In other words, on the font list, they do not display any Sanskrit characters. Instead, they become English letters when I select them from the list to type with. But if I use  Devanagari Qwerty or Devanagari language preferences to type with, then they do show up as Sanskrit characters. I do have other Sanskirt fonts that do appear on the font list and that display properly. But none of these other fonts default when I use Devanagari Qwerty or Devanagari. This is very confusing.
    3. I have never seen the gear wheel on any program except Text Edit. I wish I could find it, because I would like to turn on "additional conjuncts." I can go to Format > Fonts > Show Fonts with Microsoft Word, but I see no gear wheel. With InDesign, which supposedly does support Indic fonts, I don't know where to go in order to find the gear wheel. And I don't see any gear wheel on the Font Book program.
    4. My publisher requires that I use Microsoft Word to deliver my manuscripts. They do not accept any other programs. I am trying to type Sanskrit letters easier by using Devanagari Qwerty and/or Devanagari keyboard on my Mac. Any solution for Microsoft Word? Whatever solution I use has to also be compatible with InDesign, because my publisher copies and pastes everything into InDesign to design the final pages.
    Thank you!

  • Nokia N8 Portrait qwerty keyboard

Does anyone know if a portrait qwerty keyboard will be available for the Nokia N8. and if yes when will be out?

For sure most of us want it. Coming from iPhone I was surprised to have such an inconvenient keyboard. Or see the keyboard of the gravity beta.
But this will be fixed, it was said that next week swype will be available for N8.
N8-00 with orange case, loving it

  • Fullscreen QWERTY keyboard in Nokia 5800

In v40 firmware, it is said that Fullscreen QWERTY keyboard has been removed. But I could see it while using Opera Mobile 10. Is there any way so that Fullscreen QWERTY keyboard option is available in other places as well, like in messaging, while using nokia browser etc.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

It wasnt removed. When in the alphanumeric keypad, just tilt your phone sideways to landscape mode and it will automatically show full qwerty. It only appears if you hold the phone in landscape. After all, what's it's use if you hold it in portrait.

  • Nokia N97 keyboard problem

i have nokia n97 if i tape w on keyboard is tape y and if i tape y is tape w. the keyboard is querty and language in the phone is french. any on help me please.

A French phone would normally have the French AZERTY keyboard instead of QWERTY, and judging by what you say Sabsy, your software is mapped for AZERTY even though you have a QWERTY keyboard (or perhaps you have an AZERTY keyboard and the software mapping is for QWERTY).
It sounds like there is an issue with the phone - it could be a factory error on a batch of phones, or it could be that the retailer has flashed a different software onto a phone from another country nto realising that this would have a serious impact on a device with a full keyboard - either way, take it back to the retailer and insist that the phone is put right or replaced.

  • Nokia E75 ringtone problems

I bought a Nokia E75 about 2 weeks ago.  When i assign a rigntone to a contact, most of them work great.  Only a few won't ring through.  It rings about 2 words of the ringtone then the ringtone stops but the phone is still showing on the screen that the call is still coming in.  This bites, as if it's in my purse I usually don't ever hear it.  I have tried redoing the ringtone and using different ones, it  still doesn't help, but more than half the contacts are okay.  ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WILL BE WELCOMED AND AM THANKFUL FOR YOUR TIME!!!

I too have somewhat of the same issue, except the ringtone assigned to the contact will not default when the phone rings.
The ring is the default within the profile everytime.  I have turned the warnings to off.  Thought maybe it was the the ringtone was a MP3 file, so I changed it to an AAC file, but to no avail.
Is there some other setting I did not change.
    This is very frustrating...
    Any suggestions?

  • E75 Screen rotation problem

Hi, I hope somebody here can help me.
I have an E75  and a problem with the screen has recently turned up. When I open the phone to use the keyboard the screen does not rotate as it should and remains in the original orientation.  I have it set to open 'messaging' when the phone is slid open but it no longer does this either. The screen sometimes rotates on its own accord too.
Any ideas what is up with it or if it's repairable?
    Many Thanks
    Alexander

try a factory/soft reset and check your settings once more
    here is the codes
NOTE: In front of the hash key ( #) there is also a STAR key that people often miss and state that the code does not work. 1. *#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data) Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list. The default code for ALL operations listed here is 12345. *#7370# - Reformat your phone (out of the box, tho keep in mind that most newer nokia phones at least n series, e series and s60 based phones have udp - user data preservation so not ALL data may be lost. still it is a good idea to always do a back up of your stuff.)
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.
    Now using the Lumia 1520

  • Touchscreen qwerty keyboard

I have used only Nokias all my life. The one time I ventured away was to use the iPhone. It's landscape qwerty keyboard is so amazing. I think Nokia is still the best, but do you think in the near future we can get a phone with landscape touchscreen qwerty keyboard? It could be on a new version of the N97 because I think the tilting screen is really awesome too, but I'd think having both would be neat, leaving it upto the consumer to decide whether they want to use the slide or not. Actually maybe putting it on the N900 sounds better but it's edged are not very flattering. Makes it look incredibly like a masculine phone.
I know Im going a bit off topic too, but a few more color choices would be nice...to steer away from black and white for the N97. I would appreciate red.

My 5800 has a landscape qwerty screen. In fact, it only works in landscape.
If I have helped you with your problem in some way, please take a little time and hit the kudos button in my post. Without your feedback, I don't know if I am being helpful or should just be put out to pasture.

  • How to enable an apple french (azerty) wireless keyboard to type in french whilst retaining the normal inbuilt qwerty keyboard typing in english?

Hi there, I recently bought an apple wireless azerty French keyboard to go with my English macbook air, as for my degree I often have to type in French. However, upon connecting it to the macbook air it instantly started typing as though it had the qwerty layout and only by going on system preferences and changing the language & text imput sources to French was I able to get it to type in the correct azerty manner.
The problem I have is that this also changed my macbook's inbuilt qwerty keyboard to the azerty format, and so I wondered if anyone could tell me how I can make the wireless azerty keyboard instantly be recognised as typing in the french format when I turn it on, whilst retaining my inbuilt keyboard's qwerty layout, rather than constantly having to change them both in system preferences?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Anna

    That's not possible.
But switching keyboard layouts is very simple.  Either use the "flag" menu at the top right of the screen or the keyboard shortcut apple/command plus space.
If you don't see the ¨flag¨, check the box for Show Input Menu in Menu Bar in the Input Sources pane.
If the keyboard shortcut doesn´t work, you may have to change the shortcut for Spotlight, which is often the same.
