Nokia E75 ringtone problems

I bought a Nokia E75 about 2 weeks ago. When i assign a rigntone to a contact, most of them work great. Only a few won't ring through. It rings about 2 words of the ringtone then the ringtone stops but the phone is still showing on the screen that the call is still coming in. This bites, as if it's in my purse I usually don't ever hear it. I have tried redoing the ringtone and using different ones, it still doesn't help, but more than half the contacts are okay. ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WILL BE WELCOMED AND AM THANKFUL FOR YOUR TIME!!!

I too have somewhat of the same issue, except the ringtone assigned to the contact will not default when the phone rings.
The ring is the default within the profile everytime. I have turned the warnings to off. Thought maybe it was the the ringtone was a MP3 file, so I changed it to an AAC file, but to no avail.
Is there some other setting I did not change.
This is very frustrating...
Any suggestions?

i am having problem with calling operations in my Honda Accord 2009. I paired the device correctly and successfully via bluetooth and also imported phone book, but when i try to call a name from address book, the system says: CALLING, but then nothing happens and the phone's Keyboard locks in that time and I have to try again manually.

Thank you for contacting us.The Nokia E75 has been tested and unfortunately is not compatible with your Honda Accord 2009.To guarantee an compatibility as high as possible we use only standardised Bluetooth protocols for our system.
Unfortunately some manufacturer use slightly modified protocols, which might cause the incompatibility.
Awesome now what can i do?
The phone is new, so clearly i am not going to buy a new one.
Is there any way to get it working, maybe some kind of tweak or something.

Nokia 5200 - Ringtone problems

Hey everyone!
I've recently bought the Nokia 5200, and I'm having lots of difficulty with setting a ringtone. Originally, I used the USB cable and transferred a bunch of MP3s onto my SD card. When I try to set one as a ring tone, I get "Cannot set as a ringing tone."
So then I downloaded PC Suite, and I used a .aac file, which was the format one of my original phone ringtones were - but I still got the same message, even though I put it into my Ringtones folder with the PC Suite.
Is it just my phone, or are all Nokia 5200s like this? =\

I have exactly the same problem... 5300, provided by Rogers, and whether I try to set it from the media player or from the ringtone page, I still get "cannot be set as ringing tone". I already tried a very small file: 85K. So it should not be a size, and I tried both mp3 and aac files...
Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

Nokia 5300 ringtone problem

Hi, i recently bought a Nokia 5300, and for some reason, i am not able to play certain ringtones. Most don't work and the error message that it gives me is "File size too large" which i don't really understand.. why there would be a limit on the size of the mp3 being played as the ringtone.. and also, some mp3s, will say "Not allowed by activation key"... any ideas?

It looks more like a corrupt memory card.
Connect the handset to your computer in mass storage mode and recover what you can off the memory card. Disconnect the phone and then format the memory card. Reconnect and copy your data back to the phone.

Nokia E75 Slider Problem

Hey
Today my E75 fall me down the stairs and now the slider doesnt goes so smooth as before. The Silder also goes a little bit more back as it should so the slider doesnt really matches with the display part anymore. Is there any possibility to fix this or to remove the slider?

Nokia E75 screen problems

Hello,
I got a new Nokia E 75 phone in august and have been enjoying using it so far, but last week i noticed that right in the middle of the screen two black lines appeared, obviously they dont get lightened up when the screen switches on so when i type in something or open any other program those two lines appear just black and break my text. anyway, i didnt pay attention to it as it didnt bother me much at the beginning and i thought must be some screen problem. but yesterday i noticed that those black lines start to get longer, which means that my nokia screen is actually being distroyed gradually. i wonder if someone else have ever had such problems and what should i do with the phone, take it to be repaired??

Nokia 6280 ringtone problems

Hi I have a new 6280 and sent a ringtone from my old phone to it but I cannot save as a ringtone or move it to use a my ringtone any ideas what I need to do?

How did transfer tone accross? did you use bluetooth?
If you bluetoothed it , then you have to open the BT msg, then open the actual file. go in to options then select save. you should now have an option to save to the SD card or phone mem.

Nokia E75; QWERTY Keyboard problem.

recently I bought a Nokia E75. I have been playing around with it working the functions ect and realised that the slide QWERTY keyboard is not calibrated correctly.
Keys like ? when pressed turn out to be :
I have downloaded sogou on my phone to correct most of the keys. While still the second row of blue keys are still incorrect. The rest of the keypad is correct. Is there anyway to fix this?

Yesterday I reflashed my E75 to solve a different problem (OVI map not opening). After this my keyboard behaves as explained by you. However I notice that key sequence for ' ; ' produces '?'. Also if I type '$', I get '&' and am yet to find sequence to produce '$'. I suspect something to do with selection of charcter set while flashing.
Did you get any solution?

Nokia E75 Battery Status Indicator?

Hello, well i have a problem. on most phones, if you go in the settings, there will be a section where it says all of the phone status. and i find this really useful when it comes to the battery. But on the Nokia E75 i cant seem to find the battery status indicator. Does anyone know where it is?

Faulty battery maybe. The battery has circuitry that reports its charge level and it sounds like that isn't working. You should have it replaced under warranty if possible!

Nokia E75 wont turn on

I was carrying my nokia e75 in my pocket and I looked into phone and it was turned off. I tried to turn it on but when I press turn on/red phone button nothing happens. I thought that battery is empty and I connected phone to charger, and when I connect it it gives "charging" sound and shows nokia logo without light, but when I try to turn it on with charger connected it doesnt work either.
Can someone tell me how can I fix problem or how can I hard reset it? Thanks.

This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working.If the phone is not showing any activity, proceed with hard formatting , turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
hard reset - hold the following buttons *, 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons

NOKIA E75 - Unbound Medicine Books for PDA?

Wondering if anyone with a Nokia E75 has tried to download a PDA book from "Unbound Medicine" - their website says ALL Windows Mobile devices are supported, but when trying to checkout, they have a drop-down menu which lists hundreds of devices but NO Nokia ones at all. I've never used PDA books before, but the Nokias definitely use Windows Mobile, so I can't see what the problem is. This is no doubt my ignorance of the subject, but I also cant see why you have to select the specific device form this huge list, why I can't just download the book onto my PC and then copy it into whatever device I choose, and why I couldn't just laod a copy of any textbook which comes with a CD onto my PC and then copy it onto a mobile device from there. Any answers greatly appreciated.

I got an idea, not a fix, but a work-around.
The idea would be to forward your mails to another mail adres, that would be supported by Nokia messenger. I have no trouble whatsoever with GMail, but I did have trouble setting it up.
1. Create a 'secret' mail adres, that would only be used to get in your mail on the phone.
2. Set up your work email that's not supported to forward (and leave it in inbox) your mails to the newly created mail.
3. Set up your phone to GET mail from the newly created mail, and to SEND trough the smtp of your work email.
4. check that sending mail from the phone works as expected: does it advertise your newly created email address? If so, check the email adres that's in the settings of the mail program of your phone. Some programs can just have a wizzard asking for your emailadres, even though it is not to check any incoming mails, but actually it is used together with your name as info that's sent with outgoing email to tell who it is coming from. It could be that there is no work-around, then it's up to you to decide whether or not to use the phone to send email.
To setup an email without using the NOKIA messenger (or was it OVI) whatever it is called, I don't like nor use it.
You have to enter a bogus email adres as you are creating a new email account.
Then manually enter all the info afterwards. There's some things to find trough google about more detailed steps though. I've been looking for a while, but I cannot find them anymore. I don't have a lot of time neither though.

hi, i got a problem with my nokia e75, for some reason i cant update it, tried directly via the phone and via the updater and it keeps failing
when trying via the phone i get "connection error" when searching for updates, but i can connect to the internet with the phone with no problems otherwice.
with ovi i get to stage 3 when its about to intall the update i get a msg that says "an error have occured" and a text that says that i should restart the ovi suit and try again, if the problem still hapen then uninstall and download the latest version(have that one)
error code: 12017
ive even tried to reset it to the factory settings but no change at all.. it just refuse to update..
duno how to continue..

Nokia E75 Contact Database Trouble

I bought a Nokia E75 phone in the Middle East 2 months ago. Ever since I purchased it, I am not able to edit my contact info to include anything but the mobile number. i cannot edit the label or enter any other fields to add addresses or email addresses. Can anyone help?

Nokia E75 to Nokia bluetooth CK-1W car kit

Hi Folks,
have seen several posts aboutbluetooth connectivity between E75 and non-nokia bluetooth devices. I bought a car with a Nokia CK-1W car kit in it.
Connected beautifully with my wifes Motorola V3 first time no problems.
Bought myself a new Nokia E75 - connects once to the car kit, then wait for a while and at some point - not long after the power save mode the connection is lost. NOte it is not when the power save kicks in but some time afterwards. I have tried to set "Remote SIM on" but cannot seem to find an answer. I have even checked for the latest firmware this evening and I have the latest version.
Can any body help or is it to much to ask for one piece of Nokia Kit to connect to another piece of Nokia kit.

I have same kind of problems between my E75 and MB R-class carkit. First they are connected and few seconds later disconnected. I have lost my nervs...

Nokia E75 is not showing the details of an incomin...

For Christmas, I got the Nokia E75 which I was really chuffed about. Everything on the phone is working apart from when someone tries to phone me. All that comes up on the screen is the word 'call' and nothing else. I have gone through the instructions manual and done everything that has to do with Caller ID etc. I took the phone into my local store and asked if the phone was faulty and they said just to update the phone from the Nokia website. I did that and it still hasn't solved the problem.
Can anyone help me? It would be very much appreciated.

If it shows "call" and not even the number of the caller then it is probably due to Caller ID not being activated on your account. Contact your network and have them activate caller ID.
