Nokia email stop syncing

I have a nokia E63 (firmware 500) and yesterday my e mails stopping syncing. I have yahoo, gmail and ovi mail all is the same.
I tried to go to my nokia e mail account but this is what it says:
Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error.
I want to delete my existing account and recreate a new account.
How do I do this if I can't log onto the nokia e mail site.
Please help urgently.
Solved!

That is correct. Nokia messaging is very unstable and unreliable.
Sometimes it just starts working again, sometimes not.
The services fails on a regular basis in one way or another.
Try again tomorrow or do what I did and buy a different phone.

  • Nokia Lumia 928 - Corporate emails stopped syncing since last week- Any solution?

My corporate emails have stopped syncing, since last week. I tried several things to resolve it, but all in vain. Finally when I connected to wireless network instead of Verizon LTE, my emails started working again!. When I switched back to LTE, it stopped syncing! The error code I receive is 85010017 - outlook.office366.com is currently unavailable.
Microsoft forums suggested that there was a change made on Microsoft's side, but the fact that emails work fine when on wireless, indicates that Verizon has not updated or notified about the change Microsoft made - hence creating these issues.
Anyone having any luck in reporting this issue to Verizon & getting it resolved?

    Ok.
I created a ticket .  Hopefully will be resolved asap. Will update you if
    its resolved

  • Nokia Email stopped working

    Hello,
I have E63 and I have been using Nokia Email on my phone a few months now without any problems. (Have been using Gmail and Ovi mail) However last two weeks it somehow stopped working properly.
    1. I can still send emails properly.
    2. "Sent" folders sync without problems.  Also, for example if I send an email from Ovi website from PC, I can see my message in the Sent folder.
    3. Mysterious empty "Inbox" - although I haven't deleted messages. They just disappeared. And no new messages come in. I tested a few times by sending emails from PC but nothing. CAN NOT RECEIVE any emails.
Could someone please tell me why this is happening?? Thank you.

I too would like an answer from nokia regarding this.
I have definately noticed in the past weeks that the service is extremely unreliable at best.
I have stated in a previous post (which incidentally was my first and not one person could be bothered to respond to it) that I had been using the service with no problems until the other week when I came home to find a few new mails on the PC which nokia messaging had failed to receive.
I feel I can no longer trust the service and have gone back to using Profimail which grabs mail from the yahoo or Google server directly instead of through nokia's seemingly unreliable servers.
There definately should be a page we can log on to which tells of any service disruptions or slowdowns to be expected etc.
The only thing that is stopping me moving to blackberry really is that their phones don't support web flash. Apart from that I'd go tomorrow as nokia don't seem to care about these issues.

  • Nokia 6760s stopped sync with gmail

    Hello,
Since 23.08.2013 my phone stopped syncing with gmail. I deleted the account on the phone and try to create it again, but without success. The message that shows ist "Unable to connect to server. Try again late." Can you help me with some ideas how to fix this?
    Thanks in advance.

elinick, as there was an outage, is this issue resolved, now? Otherwise, please, let us continue there …
By the way, do you really want Nokia Messaging? If you enter a email address like [email protected], you are able to access the native (direct, without proxy) email client.

  • [SOLVED] incoming email stopped syncing

    Hi,
Just thought I would let you know Ive solved a long standing problem with email (nokia email) on my phone.
Problem: After going away for a week or so and not using my phone, new updates would not come to my phone
Solution: I had "full message" selected in the sync options, it seems this was too much for the phone to handle. I simply selected "headers only" and the phone started to sync. Once the initial sync was done ant the old messages removed, I changed back to full messages.
    yay!

When you have your account all caught-up and you have cleared-out the old mail, when you reset the "full message" setting... do you get email in a single pass or do you have to wait for the phone's email client to do "Retrieving" before reading any new messages?
My client (Nokia C6-01) only retrieves the headers regardless of the setting in the "Mail Download Size" box.
I still have to make a 2nd pass at each piece of mail to see it's content. This is a lot of trouble when you are not within range of the network.

  • Nokia Email Application problem since 06.07.2011

    Hi all,
I'm using E71. Yesterday my Nokia email stopped synchronising my accounts and just displayed a password request field and a drop down menu for access point (on the usual pink background). However, I can't log in with my account password (the one of the first email account I registered in the service).
It just keeps asking me for password again and again.
I tried deinstalling the application and installing it again, but now when I try to register a new account it just says that there no connection to server can be established.
    Please, help.
    Thank you in advance.

try to formatt your phone and reinstall. i had solved the problem on my phone by doing this.

  • Nokia E7 ActiveSync stops syncing

    Hi,
I've recently been having an issue with syncing emails when using ActiveSync.
After a fews days, syncing no longer works and I have to delete and recreate the ActiveSync account. This works for a few days and then the problem occurs again.
Looking at the MfE logs, I can see the following error every time the sync fails:
    27/03/2012 06:25:03 Connected to connection method named <Connection Name> with type <Connection Type>
27/03/2012 06:25:08 The current ComamndHandler State is EFolderSync.
    27/03/2012 06:25:08 CEasCmdHandler:oRunL - Main state machine. PreviousMainState = 4.CurrentMainState = 4. CurrentPolicyState =0.Error =-6
I can't identify any factors that lead to the failure of syncing, but once it stops syncing, the only way appears to be to delete the account and recreate.
    I'd appreciate any assistance available.
    Device details:
    24/03/2012 13:00:14 Mail for Exchange Build : 1.00.000
    24/03/2012 13:00:14 Device Software Version: 111.030.0609 2011-11-26 RM-626 (c) Nokia
    24/03/2012 13:00:14 Device Model: E7-00

I think I found the cause for this problem. When syncing is in the middle of the progress and the phone is shutdown it remembers the last sync phase, but loses some data from RAM and thus stucks to infinite loop.
Haven't managed to verify if this happens with all shutdowns or only with total shutdown (i.e. power button pressed until phone shakes).

  • Yahoo email not syncing with Nokia messaging - Pre...

I have been using nokia messaging beta version for approximately 3 weeks and it has worked perfectly for all my e-mail Yahoo and Gmail. As of yesterday my Yahoo (free) e-mail stopped syncing e-mails. I went to the website email.nokia.com and checked my password but I receive the following message when trying to update the password: "Unable to connect with the password provided. Please try again.". Please note I have not changed my password I was only trying make sure everything was correct.
My Gmail seems to still work but no Yahoo. I have gone as far as deleting all my accounts on the phone and deleting Nokia email software via the app installer and reinstalled NOkia email. The phone synced my accounts setting them up and syncing all the messages up until yesterday which is exactly when it stopped working. I'm at a loss at this point. I'm also unable to delete the yahoo account on email.nokia.com website since its my default acct. Any ideas??
Could it be a yahoo issue? Anybody else have this issue?

    Found these on another site:

I have been using the Nokia email client on my E90 for the last few days. Today Yahoo mail started giving me a problem. Whenever I send an email I am getting a Delivery Status Notification (failure)
    535 authorization failes (#5.7.0)
I went in to my email.nokia account just to re-enter the password for my yahoo account, and now I even that is throwing the following error “Unable to connect with the password provided. Please try again.”
Is there some problem connecting to Yahoo?
I am able to log on to this yahoo account on my PC and send and recieve mails without any issue.
    Thanks,
    Amar

This is really bad. I have tried and installed Nokia Email countless times. But it refuses to sync, I don’t even receive error messages. I have even tried to log on to emai.nokia.com to check and reset my account settings.
Solution for now; I have installed Profimail, it works like a dream. Downside is that it does not sync my Gmail contacts and I think the Nokia interface looks better.
I will continue to keep an eye on any new patches/versions of Nokia Email but as of today, this software should never have been allowed to graduate. Let alone even thinking of charging people for it.

My iphone 5 stopped syncing to outlook email, calender and contacts after the IT department switched from a HP exchange server to MS2010 exchange server.  Help?

Try deleting your exchange account on your iPhone, then adding it again fresh.  I had the same problem when we upgraded servers and this fix worked for me.

  • Nokia Email App and Exchange Mail quit sync'ing gm...

Life was good for many months using the Nokia Email app on my N97 to make my main email account, gmail, function essentially as push email.  Suddenly, Nokia email quit getting new mail from my gmail inbox.  Mail I sent from the N97 was still sent, and still sync'ed to my gmail sent mail.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the Nokia Email app with no success.  So I changed to the Exchange mail app which I don't find as functional, but the same thing happened - it wouldn't get mail from my gmail inbox but would still send mail from the N97 and sync that to the gmail sent box.  This happened more or less two weeks ago.  My son had the same setup on a N97 mini, and his Nokia email app has continued to work with his gamail inbox.  This suggests something is amiss with my gmail, but I changed nothing, and Google is/was no help.  So I've reinstalled the Nokia email app (from the ovi store) and changed over to ovi mail which I access with the email app on the N97, and I have my gmail forwarded to my ovi mail.  So far that is working.  Wonder if anyone else has had this happen and has any solution?  Cheers and TIA!

I posted I had created an @ovi.com email account and that I was using the Nokia email app (form the Ovi store) to get push email working.  I forwarded my @gmail.com account to the @ovi.com account.  Well, that worked for a few days, then it also quit sync'ing and downloading mail even though I could send mail using it. So then out of the clear blue, I got this email directly to my N97:
    From: [email protected]
    Sent:  04/30/2011 4:15:49 AM
Subject:  Please re-enter your password for this mailbox
    Dear Nokia Messaging customer,
Recently, our email service has been unable to authenticate with your email
provider, preventing email delivery to your phone. Perhaps you changed the
    password for this email address.
You must update your Nokia Messaging mailbox settings with your latest pass
word. Once you have done that, we’ll resume trying to fetch your em
    ail.
Please go to Options -> Tools -> Settings -> [email protected] -> E-mail pa
ssword and re-enter your password. E-mail delivery to your phone should res
    ume shortly after that.
    Sincerely,
    The Nokia Messaging Team

Well, I had NOT changed my password, but I did what they asked, and my @ovi.com account started working with my N97 again.  I did not go back and try with my @gmail.com account.  I am just so tired of trying to get/keep my push email working with my N97.  There are many other manufacturers with smart phones that work correctly with push email.  I'm not sure which I will be changing to soon.

  • Exchange ActiveSync and specially crafted messages cause ActiveSync/Email App to stop sync'ing

So, I think I've finally put together what the issue is with ActiveSync and Mail hanging on the Incredible, at least for me.  When I recieve SharePoint Alerts, or Google Calendar invites, my Droid will stop syncing every time.  If I find the message and delete it on my phone, the sync will start working again.
The two ways I've seen this happen are one, with SharePoint alerts.  I have signed up to recieve alerts from SharePoint when content changes, or tasks are updated.  These messages pretty much break sync every time.  As soon as I delete one, it starts right back up until it hits the next one.
The other way I've seen sync stop working is when Google calendar invites are sent to me.  The discription is usually really long, and has very long urls inside of it.  It seems there must be some kind of limitation here in what ActiveSync can handle.
In both cases, as soon as I find the message that is holding everything up and delete it, sync returns to normal and starts working again.
We're running Exchange 2003... but will be migrating to Exchange 2010 soon.  I'm wondering if this will helpl the issue.
Has anyone else noticed this issues like these with their Incredible and ActiveSync?
Is there another place I can submit this bug?  HTC, Google?
    Thanks,
    Rob

I get this same problem.  When I delete the sharepoint messages it works again.  Anyone know a fix for this?

  • Nokia Email conflicting versions

I seem to have two versions of Nokia Email in my 5800's Applications menu.
    - One is called "Email", using a pink "@" icon.
    - The other is called "Email Setup", using the same pink "@" icon but with stars around it.
I'm not sure why there are two entries or which one is newer. Both seem to do the same thing when I tap them.  They start the E-mail setup process.
I can't tell whether I have two different versions of Nokia E-mail on my phone, or just two icons that point to the same thing.  If I go to Options->Organize->Remove, they both ask if I want to remove Nokia Email.
I would like to remove the duplicate icon, and/or the older version of Nokia E-mail from my phone if there are two versions on it.  How can I do this without accidentally removing Nokia Email altogether?

  • Nokia email won't synch now !

I started using nokia.email successfully a few hours ago and all seemed well....
However, the synch function will not synch now to my gmail !!
I know there are emails waiting to be synched (I can see new emails on my laptop gmail), also I have a few emails on my phone witing in OUTBOX to be sent..
I have checked the following :-
    - on the nokia.email panel, I have checked the settings-->when to synch-->sent and receive (set to soonest)
    - under General-->service info-->access point--> set to my GPRS server.
    - my GPRS is active....
But, I still cannot synch !!!!!
I am loading my gun again...  :-(
    Please help..
    Harry

    Hello FranzFanke,
I tried what you suggested... and no success. This is what happened...
I went to 'Options' on the screen where it has [gmail : compose: synch: settings].
I noticed I was already ONLINE, as the option further down was for 'Go Offline'. STRANGE !!!
So then I went into 'Connection info' to check whats going on... and I noticed the following :
    -connection mode:
      Offline Mode
    -Connection status:
      Connection inactive
    - Last Synch:
7/4/2007   7:02am    (my last attempt to synch a few minutes ago)
    - Last synch status:
      Synch failed
    -Last successful sync:
6/4/2009   10:53pm ( this was indeed my last successful synch which was last night before the synching stopped working)
***So... looks like you are right in that the connection is Offline, but my GPRS is active, I see the 'E' and the double arrows indicating I have GPRS.
I also tried to toggle the 'Go offline' to 'Go online' --> then 'Go offine' then 'Go online'... but the Connection info ALWAYS stayed as 'Offline mode' !!!!
So, I checked the 'Active Data connections' (under menu-->connectivity-->connection manager-->Active data connections-->options-->details).. and this says that my packet data is connected (inactive)...
    So... I am lost !!!
What do you think is going on ?
I also rebooted a few times... done what I could to kick-start the connection for synching... but no success !!
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Harry

  • Old 5800 email setup not nokia email programme.

hi there (first post here!!!)  i have a 5800 V50.0.005 and ages ago on my old software (prob v31 iirc) i had email setup like text messages.   when i clicked messages i have 'hotmail' under the text message inbox but now its stopped working and every time i try and setup email again it loads and installs 'nokia email' programme which i find useless!
I did set it up (3 times) and told it to send and recieve every hour like i did before and it just does not work!!!   if i send an email it will send hours sometimes days later and even if i click 'sync' it still does not do anything, it goes online but does not seem to sync. same with recieving, works when it wants - useless!!!!
All I want is it to work like it did before with my hotmail folder in my messages. (v31)   Is this poss on V50 or can u reccomend an email programme for it that works!?!
    Thanks in advance
    Mark
I HATE THE N8 ALPHA NUMERIC KEYPAD MENU BUTTON!!! - what idiot put it under the spacebar!

It seems to have worked on my 5800 Xpress.  To decode the advice, two icons regarding the email setup were on my screen, one for email and one for email set up.  The email set up was in pink.  I pressed the white button to get the Organise, went in , selected the pink email set up icon and Removed it.  Now both icons are gone.  We will see tomorrow morning if I get the annoying message again asking me to go on the network.  Think it is sorted. I suspect that accidentaly starting the proceedure keeps it hanging around in the background.
