Nokia Fast Chrger AC-50E vs AC-60E. Which is bette...

I intend to buy 1 of the 2 chargers above (AC-50E, AC-60E), but i wonder that if there are any other differences between them but the 1300 mA vs 1500 mA (like AC-60E has newer technology, safer, more compatible, ...etc.), as I wanna use the charger for both my Lumia 920 and my Galaxy S II.
I think 1300mA is enough for my both phone but i just known about the AC-60E Fast Charger in Nokia website, not the AC-50E. However if the AC-60E is better in anyway or more compatible, I'll choose it
As they said about AC-60E on the website:
Works on any USB device.
The Universal Fast USB Charger AC-60 is compatible with any device and any brand that supports USB charging.
So, my question is: ignore the mA of the two, are there any others difference between these two Fast Charger? and ignore the mA value, is the AC-60E better than AC-50E in some way?
Thanks a lot!

  • Which is Better Nokia Asha 303 or Nokia Asha 311

Can you tell me which is better 303 or 311?

hmm.. as owner of both phones, I would like to say my bet.
Actually, there are lots of difference on both phones. I'll dice it up.
    1. Homescreen
On 303 the homecscreen is the same as other s40 devices , you know, the "active standby" thingy, where you can stack up a pile of shortcuts on the homescreen.
On the 311 however, it has 3 different homescreens, the app drawer where all your apps are displayed, the active standby where you can put your favorite apps and contacts as a shortcut, and your frequently used app (music player, radio, or dialler) which you can jump to and from with just a swipe from left or right.
    2. Input method
On the 303, it has a full physical keyboard, which eases up the typing experience, branding the 303 as "type smarter". To be honest, I truly miss that keyboard.
On the 311 however, it has a virtual keyboard and the usual phone keypad (virtual also). They can automatically turn to landscape mode if you will turn the phone to landscape. In writing this comment, I am using my 311, as my 303 died when it plunged into the pool.
    3. Camera
both features a 3.2mp camera, which is good for a higher than basic photo and video capturing. You can view my videos on my yt channel (MultiCadmiel) where I used a 303, and 311.
Noticebly, the meer difference on the two is their mic. The 303 can capture every sound pitch, as on my videos I am capturing trains passing by. Whenever a train horns on thr 303, it can capture the sound without distortion. But the story is different on the 311, even a single horn can distort the mic.
    4.Speaker
the 303 is impresibly a great boom box, voicing out a great sound quality thru it's speakers, again it is not the same with the 311. The 311 is not that loud, but who thr heck would use loudspeaker while inside the bus? Headsets are available.
    5. Internet
here, the 311 boast as being faster on loading internet pages, as well as download speed.
There are still many to consider, but overall, both are better for me.
If you want a full qwerty experience, use the 303, if you want a full touched phone, use the 311.
Oh, I forgot to mention that the camera on the 311 automatically rotates to landscape or portrait, a thing missing on the 303.
    Nokia Lover since childhood.
    my phones are 3120c, 303, and 311.

  • Which is better, faster processor or more ram?

    Hello all!
I'm planning on upgrading from my 1.33Ghz g4 ibook with 512mb of ram to a new macbook, because Logic Express 7 and Final Cut Express 3.5 don't run very well on my current system. Because of money constraints, I'm limited in what features I can afford, so I'd like some advice from other mac users. In having to choose between getting an entry level macbook with 2gb of ram, or the mid-level macbook with only 1gb of ram, which would you think might handle these two applications best?

    Hi skipgo,
    welcome to macbook forum.
I would go with the faster processor, not only the processor is fixed and not upgradeable, you also got bigger hard drive and superdrive that will be crucial for backing up big files on dvd (4 gb) or dual layer dvd (8 gb) and or burn your project into dvd from your FCE using iDVD.
And memory is tend to go cheaper each day and relatively easy to upgrade it yourself compare to built to order 2 gb memory in entry model at apple store.
And remember that apple will not accept return on BTO model just in case you decided to return it within their 14 days grace period.
    Good Luck.
ps: beat by Mike with the same advise.....

  • Which is better Nokia C5-03 or 500?

These phones r quite same....in also price but...y C5 is s60 and 500 is anna?and big diffrence between cpu speed?

resistive screen use pressure to detect touches, capacitive screens use electrostatic disturbances caused by your skin to register touches. This makes it more sensitive to touches, and also makes it possible for multi-touch.
-As for your PM, I dont work for Nokia and I dont stay online all the time. It could take days before I log in again.
And yes, your questions are sometimes annoying. All these information can be accessed from a Google/Wikipedia search.

  • Which is better Nokia's 500 or Galaxy mini...i am ...

(personally i am nokia's fan bt i dont know why android's pulls me to itself)
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

What so ever SAMSUNG offers NOKIA is rocking in all fields like Hardware Quality, Support and features. SAMSUNG sucks in all above fields.
K do not believe me or anyone else who is support of NOKIA. Just ask for proper User Manual from SAMSUNG for any of the handsets. 99.9% features are not explained in the manual. You need to learn by hit and trial. Moreover, 99.9% mobiles upto 15k does not support PC backup of contacts. Menus are damn confusing and useless.
I already wasted around INR 1,00,000 on useless SAMSUNG phones. If you still wanna go for SAMSUNG (any phone) just remember to learn everything (even untold truths) first.
Though, I am CDMA fan but as NOKIA is no more in CDMA I am forced to use GSM. I wish NOKIA re-start production of CDMA handsets.
I wish Nokia Start CDMA Handset in India again.

  • Slow burn vs Fast burn (which is better quality) fact or fiction

Ok again I would like to know the official answer to this question because from the response last time, I'm not really confidence with the answer.
IS IT FACT THAT IF YOU USE WAV BURNER AND BURN AT A SLOWER SPEED COMPARED TO FASTER SPEED THE QUALITY BECOMES BETTER BY PROOF?
    IF THIS FACT OR FICTION.
SOMEONE PLEASE PROVIDE SOME LONG YEARS EXPERIENCE PROOF.

Sorry, can't wait until someone clocks what I've said, 'cos I might be going out soon, so thought I'd write it up first...
The difference between the HHB and the Mac burner is... nothing much. The actual tray and laser workings are probably the same in both units. The extra dosh for the HHB covers the casing, functionality and the convertors - it's basically a hardware version of WaveBurner, and we all know hardware versions cost more than software versions.
Therefore, in my alleged test there should only be one of the four that shows any difference, and that's the real time recording via analogue. The other three, all remaining in the digital domain, irrespective of speed, should give the same results, because data is encoded in the same way, no matter how you do it. It would be interesting to see if there is any difference, but I doubt the equipment I've got would be sensitive enough to monitor it (or would allow me to zoom in and see the difference enough to post here). With that in mind, the human ear isn't going to hear it.
The only REAL difference the speed option gives you is reliability of burning. The faster you get, the more prone it is of making an error in the burning process, but this can sometimes come down to the quality of the disc itself. Not all discs are the same, as I guess most people have realised to their horror at some point (data).
Just a final note. I'm working with a voice-over artist for TV and radio, and the stations are happy to receive the files as MP3's via email. Who'd have thought that would happen when MP3 came out?!? Just goes to show people are putting a perspective on the quality standard for final use. But I'm still sending AIFF files though, MP3 makes me shudder as an original! And here we are worrying about CD quality...

  • Which is Better or Faster?

I have a "prog 1" which does some incremental updates on a table.
Then "prog 2" needs to do processing based on the changed values.
Which approach listed below is better?
    1) Create a column UpdatedDate in the table and have a desc index on it.
Prog1 Updates that date whenever it does an update in the table.
Prog2 can get only the updated values after the last run time of the program 2 ?
    2) Create a column i.e. Changed_flag which will values i.e. NULL or 'Y'.
Prog1 updates the flag to 'Y' whenever it performs updates on the table.
Prog 2 does the processing based on the data where the flag is 'Y'.
Once processing is over nullify the column.
    So which one sounds better??
Thanks in advance for any help or thoughts or pointers?
    Regards

Looking just at the requirements you given, a flag would seem to be the better solution of the two.
    - A b*tree index doesn't index NULL values, so the index on the changed_flag column will be relatively small and relatively quick to full scan. That's probably better than range scanning a larger date index for the same number of rows.
    - Generally, keeping statistics up to date for a date-based column requires a bit more work (you need to make sure that Oracle knows what the max date is in order to ensure that it can estimate cardinality and selectivity, but your max date keeps increasing). It's easy enough to ensure that the stats are right, but it may be easier not to have that problem.
Either way, you'll need to ensure that you manage concurrency (i.e. if prog 1 updates a row between the time that prog2 queried it and the time that it processes the change).
At the same time, though, last updated date columns can be more generally useful than a changed flag, so look to see whether other processes could benefit from using a last updated date instead.
Depending on your needs, you might also consider creating a queue using Oracle AQ and having prog 1 or a trigger enqueue events that prog 2 would dequeue and process.

  • Need to know which is better and faster for laptop memory upgrade

What is the difference and which is better for a laptop memory upgrade:  SDRAM, DDR SDRAM, SIMM?  One site suggested DDR SDRAM and BB suggested SO DIMM

SODIMM is the physical form factor of the module, DDR SDRAM is the actual memory type.
SIMMs are an ANCIENT form of memory module.  If you have a system that uses SIMMS, you will spend less money throwing your computer in the trash and buying a new one.
    Non-DDR SDRAM is also ancient.
Each system can only use one type of memory, i.e. you can't use DDR memory in a system that only used non-DDR memory, and you can't use DDR2 memory in a DDR system.
To find out if the configuration is 2x256 or 1x512, you'll need to look at what is installed.

  • Battery indicator says i have 300 hours left..

sometimes...when i restart (because of Onyx) and when Mac os x resumes...it says that i have 300 or more hours left on my battery (one time it said 1064)...then it goes back to the normal 3+ hours... so i was wondering if this could indicate a problem...
also, how long does a normal charge from, say, 25% take? cause i plugged it in...put it to sleep...was away for probably 45 min. to an hour and i came back to it and it says that it still has an hour left till it is fully charged...
    Any input is greatly appreciated!

RE the 300+ hours, I have seen this too. It's not a problem, so don't worry about it. (I suspect it has to do with what's going on at the exact instant that the OS interrogates the battery for it's current charge capacity.)
RE how long to charge, depends on how discharged it is, but 3-4 hours from ~25% is not unusual. The battery charges up to around 80% fairly fast, then trickle charges the remaining amount, which is better for battery longevity. Same reason your MBP will not try to charge the battery if the current charge is 95% or higher - prevents overcharging (which shortens battery longevity).
    Hope this helps...

  • Have you played Titanfall

Have you played Titanfall yet?  What do you think?

Titanfall actually feels very similar to Call of Duty from a multiplayer point of view. When people ask me about the game, I usually joke about how I view it as a cross between Call of Duty and Mechwarrior. It’s fast paced, there are abilities and perks which get better as you level up, and there are guns…. and you shoot things…
With the full release, they’ve added quite a few game modes which added a lot of diversity to the game. They have a pretty stellar spin on Capture the Flag that I enjoy a LOT.
I’d say the biggest differentiator between Titanfall and Call of Duty are the physics of the game. Never before have I been able to put a gigantic titan on autopilot, jump out, run to an enemy titan, pull open the hatch, blast him in the face, steal his titan, ALL while my original titan is running around destroying people.
    I mean…. seriously… that is ridiculously awesome.

N95-1 I'm on my 3rd Original Nokia Charger be warned not everything third party is usless and the wire is thicker! 3rd party batteries often suck. and Nokia chargers are NOT guarunteed either, just had to order another original Battery and docking station charger thingy from amazon.co.uk helps to read reviews before purchasing.

I got my phone from cex.co.uk and they only gaurunteed the charger for 1 Month, and said they must have the phone back as well to test it for a few days, so i just got another original one from global city links in town as i realy needed it and got a reciept and when it went wrong again i went back and they said we dont gauruntee our chargers.. i said under the Consumer Rights Act 1979 blah blah..he did say bring it back cos the place was packed with customers haha.. i ended up getting an original fast charger from amazon and the wire is far better like the virtualy unbreakable sennhieser wires on my headphones that are gaurunteed for 2years standard but thats for another forum .

  • NOKIA 5610- 10 PROBLEMS!

Hello everybody this is my first post. I have a Nokia 5610 I bought 1 month ago and I want to describe the main dis advantages I can see in this phone.. Please comment if you own one with your opinions on what to do. help, or anything to add...
    1. No SECURITY , you cant make the phone ask you for security code when you turn the phone.. This is a major flaw considering ALL my previous cell phones had this.. So if they steal your phone or someone wants to use it there is no barriers.. Really bad.
    2. No InCall timer. This is amazing from nokia how can they release a phone that does not have the option of showing how long you've been talking??? This is really bad, you can choose "call resume" function which shows you the time at the end of the call but its not the same.
    3. NO FLASH as LIGHT! what is this?? I mean how come it has such a great light to be used as flash and you cant use it as flashlight?? how many times you are in a dark situation? I was used to take out my phone and spare some light. (keys, dark stairs, ect.. even shooting video at night.) Well.. not possible.
4.MICRO USB .. Why??? why didint you just stay with miniUSB?? Why micro?? who uses micro? nobody.. so if you lost that cable its really hard to get and you cant charge it (phone )through a computer so its useless.. This slot is useful just to connect the computer to a PC.. Attention ; The charger is a different slot.
    5. No 3.5mm jack.. so you cant connect your normal headphones you have to connect the nokia ones or use an adapter..
6.No Auto lock keypad.. You have to manually lock the keypad every time .
7.No battery warning signal.. There is no absolute sing of the battery telling you its going to finish.. No red line , no sound (MO), no screen message.. (SE) , no nothing.. you just go to sleep and wake up the phone has been with no battery since you who knows... you put it in your pocket go out.. check it a 2 am .. absolutely dead.. with no warning..
    8. No MAPS,..
    9. No searching songs or artist title through the numbers keyboard .. so stupid.. you have a thousand songs and you have to scroll allll the way down .. wouldn't it be quicker to just press the 1st letter??
10.Cant send SMS from the phonebook menu.. Im sorry but this is really retarded, you see the options of a contact on the phonebook list and theres 10 options but no "send sms" option.
So prepare to go to SMS menu and then not even scroll but ADD new recipient.. i mean **bleep**??
The rest is pretty decent.. nice sound , quality of images, interface, speed...
But nokia please!! cant you release a software update at least??

    Hi there,
As an ex-user of Nokia 5610 ME..
    1. No SECURITY , you cant make the phone ask you for security code when you turn the phone.. This is a major flaw considering ALL my previous cell phones had this.. So if they steal your phone or someone wants to use it there is no barriers.. Really bad.
My Reply: This feature is available at the Settings menu which you can change the setting of security.. there's 2 option there, if i'm not mistaken..It requires u to insert the securit code.. and for changes of sim card, it do requires the security phone unlock code.. maybe u might mislook the function there.. check it out..
    2. No InCall timer. This is amazing from nokia how can they release a phone that does not have the option of showing how long you've been talking??? This is really bad, you can choose "call resume" function which shows you the time at the end of the call but its not the same.
My Reply: Correct me if i'm wrong, do u mean "Call Duration Timer?" If yes, then as the same judgement as above, you might mislook the function which you may edit settings on the "Call Setting"..
My Reply: Ohh yea.. this could be a fair bid to nokia and consumer then.. there's a reason which why nokia doesn't provide the flash light, although 5610 user knew tht its' flash are bright enuff to shine a darkness.. AS consumer, we have the right to choose which is the phone which suits our lifestyle.. hence, for all future buyer on mobile, make a survey on needs and not trend.. coz it will ends up in unsatisfaction like me though..
My Reply: haha... Gosh .. charging through PC is an added advantage.. and i would compliments u a cheers for this comments on Nokia.. Yea.. charging through mobile via USB is a useful features which do think all mobile should have.. Thumbs up !
    5. No 3.5mm jack.. so you cant connect your normal headphones you have to connect the nokia ones or use an adapter..
My Reply: I'm partly lost here..
6.No Auto lock keypad.. You have to manually lock the keypad every time .
My Reply: This feature is available at the Settings menu which you can turns on the Automatic Security Keypad.. Your phone will be locked whenever you shut downs the slide..
    8. No MAPS,..
My Reply: Ouch.. My fellow bro or sis.. this is the reason as we can see the technology and Nokia always comes out with a New..New..New.. mobile.. the technology never ends.. As mentioned earlier.. Nokia packages its' theme and concept or personality for each phone.. This Nokia 5610 is meant for music lover.. which there's fast key for any music turn on/of.. and its speaker.. As for consumer, we hv to knows wut we want and wut is the budget of any purchase.. Nokia comes out with quite of models which can cope with the consumer needs as of:-GPS; N95 8Gb, Navigator or etc..
    9. No searching songs or artist title through the numbers keyboard .. so stupid.. you have a thousand songs and you have to scroll allll the way down .. wouldn't it be quicker to just press the 1st letter??
My Reply: Haven't been though this..
10.Cant send SMS from the phonebook menu.. Im sorry but this is really retarded, you see the options of a contact on the phonebook list and theres 10 options but no "send sms" option.
My Reply: Correct me if i'm wrong, do u mean tht through contacts, u would like to send a SMS..? If is, then u might miss a step tht makes u think tht u can't send any SMS though contacts.. I'll list down a few step below;-
    1. Go to Contacts or press the "down" key
    2. Choose any of your Pals name / number
    3. Press on the name selected
    4. You'll see your pal's name and number at the full screen
    5. Press again the menu/ option
    6. You'll see the list of option, "Send Message"
*** For an ex user of Nokia 5610, My main concern is their conponent as off the left/right slide radio on/off button .. In software, there's no issue for me.. nmw, advise as a user, purchase the right phone which caters your personality and needs.. It will gives u the positive bout Nokia technology..
Anyway, no offence on posting.. All the best to Explore the Music Life.. Cheers..

  • Nokia X6 questions from an interested buyer

i am selling my Samsung Galaxy S as i am very disappointed with its poor battery life and various bugs that came along with it. even with Froyo 2.2 coming the only thing that would save its day would be an excellent battery life, a fully-optimised software with Google Android and a good network signal which in my case i don't have.
until i saw your Nokia X6 which might suits me as regards music is concerned. but i wanted to ask:
1.. does it have the ability to edit/make a playlist on-the-fly (without the use of a software)
    2. does it have the ability to add songs to the playlist on-the-fly
    4. can i customise the EQ settings on ALL or a particular song to my liking?
    5. compared to a resistive screen how is the touchscreen? is it that responsive?
    6. what would be the best way to update the software? over-the-air or thru the Ovi suite?
    7. i'm a bit particular on a phone's software and firmware. is there a way to
know the phones software version? and
is there a way to find out what updates does the OS "provide" my phone? (i.e. OS details)
    8. is the X6 BBC iplayer compatible?
    9. is there a way to actually play divx or xvid (in avi or mkv containers) on the X6?
    10. i've heard there is no "kinetic scrolling" ability on the main menu. only on sub menus and the music & video menus i think. is this true? if yes then can this be applied on the next software update?
    11. is there a cover flow-esque style in the music menu / player?
the reason i will be buying the X6 is mainly for its music capability ( a dedicated audio chip, surround sound, etc.). the apps are secondary but would be very beneficial to me in many ways anyway....
please convince me that this is the phone for me...
    thanks.

    The Nokia X6 is a music phone. It comes in 3 different variants;
    Nokia X6 32GB
    Nokia X6 16GB
    Nokia X6 8GB
    The Nokia X6 32GB Comes With Unlimited Music License so you can download as many songs as you want for 1 year. To your questions here are the answers;
    1
    Yes
    2
    Yes
    4
EQ settings is customizable, so this effects all the songs.
    5
Touchscreen repsonse is fast but not fast as the HTC Legend, Galaxy S.
    6
Over the air is safer than the OVI suite (which sometimes can lead to a dead phone).
    7
If you press *#0000# it will show you the firmware on the X6. If you go here you can select the X6 and it will tell you the latest version and the improvements/fixes/updates.
    8
    Don't know.
    9
    Don't know.
    10
kinetic scrolling is available on the main menu using either v20 or v21 firmware.
    11
Nope there isn't any. It just plain. It does however display album art.
By the way the Nokia X6 has other settings for the music player such as:
    - Loudness
    - Stereo Widening
    - Balance (L/R)
This phone is great for music needs and the bettery is top notch. The speakers are by far the best from any other Nokia phones and the audio quality is the best and better than 5800 (which I owned before).
    1. are there any phones that is as good as the X6 when it comes to the audio specs?
Nokia X6 is the best music phone so far. Some say Nokia 5800 got better audio quality, it's either their def or something. Anyone advises you to get 5800 for audio quality is a just dreaming. Nokia X6 audio quality is better than 5800.
    2. with the coming C-series (C7 & C6) would they be as good as the X-series? basing on the specs & features so far they seem to be marketed as smartphone or for business users and doesn't seem to be as a "dedicated" music phone.
The C6 and C7 are no good for music.
