Nokia headset BH 905i - Bluetooth connection

Hello,
I can not connect my headset Nokia BH 905i to my computer HP Pavilion dm3-1121ez Entertainment Notebook PC. I did download and install all the software at ; http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=4146810&
but it still does not connect.
My laptop will simply not see my Nokia BH 950i. My Nokia BH 905i works fine because I use it all the time with my Packard Bell laptop. It just will not connect to my HP Pavilion dm3-1121ez laptop ( when i press "add a Device" it will not show up).
And I have the SAME PROBLEM WITH MY Nokia 3720 classic.
I did just bye a Nokia 3720 classic mobile phone to connect to my headset BH 905i.
They say that it is compatible on the Nokia internet page :
http://www.nokia.ch/produits/accessoires/tous-les-accessoires/kits-oreillettes/kits-oreillettes-blue...
BUT IT DOES NOT WORK, I CAN NOT CONNECT.
(( Nokia 3720 classic - to - BH 905i ))
Why ?
So it will not connect to my second computer and now to my mobile phone ?
How can that be ?
It looks like if I was lucky one time out of three. ( Is this a joke ? )
What can it be ? My Bluetooth seams to work just fine, on my laptop it sees all the mobile phones of my neighbors but will not see my Nokia bluetooth headset. All my driver are well installed, at least it looks like it.
And my Nokia OS version is up to date, that is at least what it says on the nokia internet page when i checked and Nokia Ovi Suite give the same result.
http://europe.nokia.com/appmanager/UnitedStatesEnglishEUROPE_NOKIA_COM_3/Get_support;JSESSIONID_NCOM...
Can somebody help ?
Do I have to send my BH 905i back to Nokia and ask them why 2 time of 3 it will not work when it is supposed to work ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry my mistake. It works fine !
Just the way of connection to a new device is not the same, the second time, then the first time. (I don't know why ?)
1) You have to stop connection (witch is normal)
2) Then you have to press for 5 sec the button (when it is green, what means already that it is searching, at least in my mind; since green = searching and blue = connection). But no, the second time fast blue = searching.
That is what I did not get. But it is in the manual, so it is my mistake.
Still Nokia should not change colors. Give one color for connection-search and one when it is connected. And for sure don't change them.
I still really like this headset, and think that Nokia did a great job by making it. I use it a lot. So I am really happy with it.
For now nothing comes close to it. Since it has bluetooth, noise canceling, and a microphone(s).
The sound quality is good too.
Keep producing that kind of headsets. We love it !

  • Nokia C5-03/Win7 Bluetooth connectivity problem

    When I am trying to connect Nokia Ovi Suite to my phone using Bluetooth, the pairing process seems to succeed, except the last phase: Then I receive a message that the connection did not succeed. The wizard gives then a possibility to try again with a different ID but it fails every time.
    It is the same problem if I try to pair the phone from computer's Bluetooth icon in the notification area. However, with using my laptop with XP this succeeds. Therefore I believe that my phone is OK but there is something wrong with my Bluetooth software in Win 7 computer. Nokia Ovi Suite lists it:
    - Microsoft (Version: 6.1.7600, subversion: 16385)
    When I start the computer, the Event Viewer shows the following error:
    "The Bluetooth driver expected an HCI event with a certain size but did not receive it."
    Source: BTHUSB
    EventID: 5
    The Microsoft's "Event Log Online Help" onthat window does not suggest anything.
    However, this may be the actual reason for the problems but I do not know how to fix it.
    I have tried Microsoft's "Fix it" tool but it did not fix this problem.
    Any ideas what to do?

    Still the same problem.
    Now I installed the Nokia PC Suite and I tried to make a bluetooth connection to it.
    Everything goes again well except after the last phase when I give the asked pin number in my phone, the computer ponders a while and shows then a window with the text that the phone cannot be verified.

  • Nokia Lumia 800 dropping Bluetooth connection to c...

    Hi
    First time on here so be gentle
    My 4 month old Lumia 800 pairs correctly with my new car - Hynudai New generation Santa Fe Premium SE and connects each time I start the car. But after anything from 1 to 3 minutes it drops the connection, remains unconnected for about the same time then reconnects again only to drop out after a couple of minutes and so on. If I press the 'Phone' connection button in the car the "Seareching for Phone" display shows then it conencts again ok but only for a couple of minutes then drops out again!
    I have been back to the car dealership who have tested the cars BT connection with two other mobile phones and they say its an issue with the Nokia 800 itself and not the car which works correclty with all other mobiles!
    My phone shop said it probably needs an upgrade of the software and to conenct via Zune which I have done and no new upgrades are available!
    Ideas anyone on what to do, as its driving me mad!
    I cant repalce the phone as its on a two year contract!  I have looked on the internet and I see there are quite a few people reporting similar issues with their BT connections dropping out.
    Does anyone know a fix?
    Or
    What are Nokia doing about this?

    In some cases, Bluetooth devices don't follow industry-standard Bluetooth communication protocols, so changes in the Windows Phone software may affect how these devices respond. If your Bluetooth device doesn't work as expected, this doesn't mean there's a problem with your phone.
    If you continue to have connection problems, try contacting your Bluetooth device manufacturer.

  • Nokia 5530 Express Music - Bluetooth connection ck...

    I have a  new VW Passat with a audiocenter RS 510 and optional carkit by Parrot (CK 300). Almost every Nokia I tried works perfectly, except my 5530. The pairing and connection is no problem, outgoing calls work fine, but incoming calls are impossible :
    - the carkit doesn't take over the ringtone selected in the phone (by other Nokia models it dos)
    - the carkit only rings once, immediately and automatically it switch back to the phone
    - if I succeed to answer,  my contacts understand my call perfect, but I can't hear them.
    The carkit and audiocenter are already replaced once, the problem is for sure with the phone, and very strange, only with incoming calls.

    You have to set up a internet accesspoint under destinations as described on page 100 of the English manual.

  • Connecting EVO headset to a bluetooth laptop

    We have seen quite a number of requests lately on members asking how to connect their EVO headsets wirelessly (via bluetooth). Hence, we have decided to create a thread that will serve as a resource for those who have difficulty pairing their headset with their laptops. Hopefully, this will be of help to others.
    We encourage everyone to chime in, share your set-up and include the steps on how you manage to pair it.
    Here are some of the set-ups we have tried:
    Laptop model: Thinkpad T61
    OS: Vista
    Headset tested: EVO ZxR, EVO Zx, EVO Wireless
    Normal pairing on the ZxR and Zx worked without issues (turn on the pairing mode on the headset, turn-on bluetooth on the laptop, search and pair bluetooth devices). On the other hand, there was a bit of a hitch pairing the EVO Wireless headset. What we did was go to the manufacturer's website and update the driver (here, you have to know the model number of your laptop to be able to see your bluetooth device manufacturer in order to install the right driver). After installing the bluetooth driver, pairing the headset was a breeze. During our test, there were two bluetooth drivers that showed up when we updated the driver; thinkpad bluetooth and microsoft bluetooth. Apparently, microsoft's driver didn't work. What worked was the Thinkpad bluetooth driver.
    Laptop model: ASUS K438
    OS: Win 7
    Models tested: EVO Zx, ZxR
    The headset connected without issues. After successfully pairing the headset, we tried switching between HFP (Skype call) and A2DP (music playback) . Switching between the two was seamless. Although during the test, there was one time the audio stopped when we tried pausing a video playback but eventually, it was fixed via reconnecting the headset. Other than that, it was all good.
    Laptop model: Dell
    OS: Win 7 - 64 bit
    Model tested: EVO ZxR, EVO Zx
    Pairing went through without issues. Bluetooth driver for this laptop was Qualcomm Atheros. Although the pairing was smooth, we encountered slight problems with the playback. Sometimes, the rotary volume (on the headset) and the master volume are not in sync and the mic at 100% is not quite loud enough. Also, we encountered a no-audio issue when clicked on "next" on WMP but was easily be fixed by closing the WMP and playing the audio again. Other than this, the headset worked great. Auto connect worked without issues and audio streaming was stable (even tried leaving the headset overnight).
    Laptop model: Lenovo
    OS: Win 8 - 64 bit
    Model tested: EVO ZxR, EVO Zx
    No issues encountered during bluetooth pairing. Playback was seamless. Although there was one instance where the bluetooth got disconnected during WMP playback and the earcup's LED just blinked in blue. We managed to get the headset working again by powering it off then turned it back on. Bluetooth auto-connected itself. The BT disconnect happened only once and haven't successfully tried reproducing the issue. By the way, the laptop's BT driver is realtek.
    Laptop model: HP Sleekbook
    OS: Win 8
    Model tested: EVO ZxR
    At first, the headset did not connect to the sleekbook. What we did was find out the make and model of the bluetooth chipset by going into the device manager. Once we got the make and model, we then googled the driver. After the driver was updated, pairing the sleekbook and the headset went well without issues.
    Laptop model: DELL latitude E5400
    OS: Win 7 - 32 bit
    Model tested: EVO ZxR
    Same issue as the sleekbook. Headset paired only after updating the driver.

    Nice post!

    No one from Apple here - this is a user-to-user forum for the Apple Thunderbolt Display. If you don't like your iPad, sell it.

  • Bluetooth Headset won't stay connected under 10.6

    My PS3 headset use to stay connected under leopard but something in snow leopard doesnt like it. If I can get it connected it'll stay connected for a min. And i cant get the input meter to pickup any audio from the device. However on my iPhone and PS# it works flawlessly. I've tried re-parring it and making sure all my other bluetooth items are off but it still does the same. Any suggestions?

    Ugh, NO ONE?  This is absolutely stupid.

  • Bluetooth connection not working on US Nokia phones from J2ME Midlet (MIDP

    Hi All,
    We are developing a J2ME midlet (MIDP 2.0 ,CLDC 1.1)which makes bluetooth connection to other devices.The bluetooth
    connection is working perfectly on indian nokia phones with Airtel as carrier.But when we deploy the same midlet on Nokia E71
    US phone with carrier as AT&T ,the bluetooth connection is not working.The sample code is as follows:
    public void run(){
    try{
    StreamConnection connection = (StreamConnection)Connector.open(btConnectionURL);
    // open an input stream to get some data
    InputStream in = connection.openInputStream();
    byte[] serialData;
    readData = true;
    while(readData == true){
    int lengthavai=0;
    lengthavai = in.available();
    if(lengthavai > 0){
    serialData = new byte[lengthavai];
    int length = in.read(serialData);
    System.out.println("data read: " + new String(serialData));
    dataViewForm.append(new String(serialData));
    in.close();
    connection.close();
    }catch(IOException ioe){
    ioe.printStackTrace();
    when we try to connect on US Phones],the execution hangs at the following line of code:
    StreamConnection connection = (StreamConnection)Connector.open(btConnectionURL);
    No exception is caught.
    Our midlet is not signed.
    In the Forums it is said that the problem is with the unsigned midlet.AS some of the US carriers block the secure API usage
    on Unsigned midlet.
    But our question is, if we buy a code signing certificate from Verisign or Thawte and sign the midlet, will this problem be solved.
    Any other alternative solutions for this ???
    Immediate help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Yash

    You might want to read this before buying a certificate:
    http://javablog.co.uk/2007/08/09/how-midlet-signing-is-killing-j2me/
    It's not my blog, but I pretty much agree with what it says. Unfortunately the network operators can control the access 3rd party trusted certificates have, so even if you sign with Verisign for example, the signed midlet may not have any more privileges than an unsigned midlet, depending on network. They do this so that only midlets signed with one of their own certificates have unrestricted privileges forcing anyone who wants a useful application to buy it from the network instead of downloading an equivalent freeware version from Getjar for example. Some networks are worse than others, so signing your midlet will allow it to work on more phones than an unsigned midlet. I think Verisign have some info on AT&T on their website.
    The whole MIDP specification for security is a joke, IMHO. I don't mind unsigned midlets flashing up a warning once during an application. Writing 20 files, for example, will give 40 security warnings for reading writing data which is ridiculous, as the user obviously either trusts the app or he doesn't. No one runs an app that they only sometimes trust.
    As far as I know the only mobile manufacturer so far to see sense is Sony Ericsson. All of their new phones from Java platform 7 onwards allow unsigned applications access to the file system, bluetooth etc with just one warning when the applications starts.

  • Can't Get Bluetooth connection to my Nokia n73

    Hi,
    I've been trying to get my Nokia N73 to sync with my mac, but it never gets connection either if I try from the phone or from the mac. I can get till to the step where I have to enter the password on the phone. From there on I've never got the connection between them.

    Hi,
    I have got a Bluetooth connection working with a Nokia N73 and recently a N95. In both cases I had to initiate the pairing from the Mac.
    One thing I have noticed with the Bluetooth connection to the N95 though, is that it is painfully slow when copying music over.
    Cheers,
    Andy

  • N95: Lousy Bluetooth connection to headset when ba...

    Hi all,
    I have a small problem (but very annoying one)
    When my phone (N95) battery is low (50% or lower)
    The Bluetooth connection become very lousy, and it's almost impossible to use
    the Bluetooth headsets because I am getting a lot of background noises.
    When I am plugging the phone back to the charger the noises disappear.
    Any idea how to solve this issue?

    Uhm, that seems the only problem. If battery fully charged, then it works, if it goes down, then it doesnt work. The battery is the only constant changing aspect of the phone. In all seriousness the battery could be going dead for all we know as it is starting to give out lower output when charge goes down.
    Best thing you can do is to try another battery.

  • Nokia 1020 Bluetooth connectivity lost

    For the second time, my 1020 suddenly for no apparent reason looses it's bluetooth connectivity. I'm listening to some music when it starts breaking up. Then I lose the connection altogether and cannot reconect. Have restarted and hard booted but to no avail. Will try factory reboot if I get desperate but it's a hassle. Anyone else have similar problems?

    Hi, grahammeltzer.
    Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
    To which accessory is your phone connected to? Note that compatibility with 3rd party devices (for example, accessories) depends on Bluetooth standards and applications related by it's manufacturer.
    Here are basic fixes that you can try on your phone:
    1. Make sure that your phone is not in Battery Saver or Flight mode.
    2. Make sure that the pairing devices are set to be visible to one another, and that there are no obstructions blocking the space between the devices.
    3. If you cannot establish a connection or lose it soon after pairing, make sure that your phonebook contacts do not have special characters or blanks before the name; rename or remove them if they do.
    4. If the above steps do not help, start the pairing process from the beginning:
    Clear the paired devices list on your phone's Bluetooth settings and restart your phone.
    Reset the pairing Bluetooth device to clear information about the last Bluetooth devices.
    Go through the pairing process. Refer to the pairing device's user manual to find reset and pairing instructions.
    The Bluetooth symbol should appear on your phone screen.
    Just let us know if provided workarounds did not work. All the best!

  • Nokia 6350 bluetooth connection to PC may or may-n...

    My issue is this:
    MY HARDWARE / SOFTWARE:
    - Nokia 6350 phone
    - IOGEAR GBU321 usb bluetooth
    - Windows XP on Dell Latitude D610
    - PC Suite 7.1.51.0
    PROBLEM:
    PC Suite works fine with my phone if I'm in range. If I walk far away and bluetooth connection is lost, when I return to range, the synch btwn PC and Phone MAY or MAY NOT resume. Most of the time it does, but sometimes it does not.  I've tried to close/re-start PC-Suite to no avail. I've tried to re-detect my phone via PC Suite...nothing.
    The workaround fix I've found  to resume the PC--Phone connection is this:
    - On the bottom left of task bar, right click on the bluetooth icon and "Explore My Bluetooth Places"
    - Delete "Nokia 6350 OBEX File Transfer"
    - right click on the bluetooth icon and select "Quick Connect"-->"File Transfer"-->"Find Devices"-->"Show All Devices"-->select the Noka 6350 (for some reason it's visible here)-->and click "Finish".
    Then suddenly, my PC-Suite Icon show connected again and I'm back in business.
    WHAT is causing this and HOW to fix this permanently ? Something is timing out in PC-Suite.
    Thanks,
    Neel

    Possibly contact your dealer, I work in the motor trade, and most manufacturers can update the sofware for their bluetooth systems for newer phones, it could be a compatibility problem, the handsfree set will have been built before the phone !
