Its my personal observation and analysis that nokia always advertise (on TV and else where) those mobile models in Pakistan that are flopped in Europe and in Middle East and I think Nokia x2-02 is one of them, I am salaried person I did not afford to buy day by day new models, however Nokia is my favorite product weather it is mobile or any other product.

i have recently bought a new nokia 603 ( march 2012 ) and didint used it much uptill now just 1 hour talk counter it runned uptill now, i upgrade it as soon as i bought it in the month of march, till 10th april it showed that your phone is up to date upgraded, but jsut two days before(12th april), i check online through wi-fi that its updates are availble of ( improved software size 24mb ), i didnt updated it as i was short of time, so i left it as it is, and didint proceed with the update ( i didnt pushed any button to start the update ). after aafew hours my frined called me and told me that Skype has started to work in Nokia 603 as it was not working prevoiusly, i checked in my phone just 5 mints and Skype really started to work, i just went to office, over thier i recieved a call from my client and during call my phone got switched off by itself, i tired to restsrt it, but it didnt, on way back to home i took the phone to NOKIA CARE PAKISTAN(peshawar) office, they told me your phone software is totally dead and we will try to put another software in it, i was so much depressed that how Nokia is using such sub-standard software that it corrupted in just afew days, i really felt ashamed of buying Nokia phone, as i am an old fan of Nokia phones but Nokia 603 really disappointed me.

Please accept our apologies for the troubles your device has caused you. This is not something that happens often and in your case, it may be just a bad software install.
As you have spoken to our Nokia Care in Pakistan, they will be able to deal with your issue promptly and fix your Nokia 603 as it will be still under warranty.

Ovi store not working on my nokia E7-00

i bought a new nokia E7-00 but the problem is my ovi store is not working.its written could not connect or service not available...plz help me what to do..m from pakistan. thanks

1. Make sure that the phone runs the latest software version. You can use Nokia Suite to check if there's software update available for your phone, refer to this link: http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/belle-asha-symbian-software-update/
2. Check the network quality. If the connection is poor the Store application or downloading applications may not work correctly.
Try to use alternate connection types such as WLAN, 3G or GPRS/EDGE. If there is still issues with network coverage, you must contact the network operator for assistance.
3. Clear the cached memory on the phone
Go to the device Menu
Select Web
Choose Options -> choose Settings
Click on Privacy data
Choose Clear Privacy data -> Choose Cache.
4. Uninstall and reinstall your Nokia Store application. for Symbian^3 devices can be downloaded also from http://lr.ovi.mobi/store/new-symbian-3 directly to phone or download the package to your PC and install it via Nokia Suite.

New Firmware For Nokia C3-00 : Reviews and Problem...

Today i installed the newest firmware for nokia c3-00 : 8.65 with great anticipation that it would fix the problems and thats what i found out after hard and soft resets many times...
** Chat application is still not accesable. I just cant open it in the MESSAGING section even if i click it again and again ... can you fix this?
** As for communities, i am getting error of SERIVCE TEMPORARILY NOT AVAILABLE. I hope it really is a temporary error, and we dont have to wait for another firmware update.
** A CHAT APPS icon has poped up in my mobile phone and when i click on it , it takes me to nokia ovi's page of some mobile messengers and in which i can only download ebuddy and as for the rest i am getting error that 'THIS ITEM YOU ARE TRYING TO DOWNLOAD IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR DEVICE AND/OR COUNTRY. DETECTED DEVICE NOKIA C3-00/PAKISTAN.
Does that means we wont be able to get our old ovi chat application ever? i liked that one because i had the facility to minimize the chat application and get notifications of messages. Cant you fix this because i cant do that with the 3rd party chat apps.

I had the same problem with this firmware update
and for a moment I thought I had ruined my phone, but it occurred to me
perform a factory reset on the phone and Communities and Chat surprise and something that works perfectly also note is that the browser to retrieve the factorygoes a little faster.
I mention it again from your phone please contact Menu> Settings> Restore FactorySettings> All, expect to complete the restoration and your phone is 100% functional.
Note: Before you restore a backup made of all your files, emails, contacts, etc. That everything is removed with the restoration.

IMEI NOKIA 5800

First please don't call me sir.
Second, i believe they have done something really bad with your Phone, If you are sure that the IMEI number doesn't match with the one on retail box.
Now all you can do is a soft reset or hard reset. it may solve your problem, and return the phone to its original condition.
Soft Reset: Dial this number *#7370# enter your lock code, default is 12345.
(BACKUP YOUR DATA if you have any)

hi mate, have you checked your earphones work on other devices with FM radio? also check you are up to date with the altest nokia system app updates from the Store and try performing a soft reset.

C2-03 software/maps update for Pakistan

Dear Nokia Team
We are anixiously waiting for new software update for c2-03 as number of complain suggest that device has most buggy software, as I noticed software update is available for some countries but for Pakistani variant we are still waiting, Kindly make new update available to Pakistani customers as well. Secondy nokia advertise a lot about maps but I notices device which is sold in Pakistan has gulf countries maps and not of Pakistan even if we try to update it from ovi it does not show Pakistani maps. Please do the need ful and let me know when these updates will be available to us.

The software update availability may be dependent on your region or the network. You may use the Nokia Suite to check if there's an available update for your phone. Please check this link for the steps on updating the device software: Nokia-C2-03-Software-Update.
If you're having troubles updating the phone software, try removing and reinstalling the Nokia Suite from your PC. To remove the app, go to the Control Panel, and then Add or Remove Programs or Uninstall a program (depending on the operating system of the PC). You may also try to connect the phone to another USB port to further isolate the issue.

Nokia 6300 Battery Discharges too early very fast

I have bought a Nokia 6300 from Karachi Pakistan. The battery discharges very faster than the normal battery discharge time under normal temperature n conditions.
Need solutions as soon as possbile.

Yeah nj7_ i'm craving for that setting.Unfortunately,brightness adjustment isn't present on Series 40 V3 phones We're still waiting an answer from Nokia.AFAIK,previous series 40 v2 phones had this setting..eg N5140 and N5140i.

Nokia 5800 x UK Vs UAE Middle east version

I wanna prchase nokia 5800 xpress mainly to use trun by turn navigation in UK. Right now i am in Dubai when i compare the prices in UK Vs Dubai. Dubai is much cheaper. I wanna buy 5o from Dubai. My queries:
whether it will support in UK for nokia applications
UK Nokia ovi maps
UK turn By Turn Navigation
If it will work same like unlocked version available from nokia UK or eurpoe
Basically what is the differance in 5800X UAE or miidle east version and Europe version.
I am not gonna return middle east later and will entirely use the phone in UK.

You're asking in the wrong place.
Look at the Nokia website for the Middle-East (http://mea.nokia.com). You should find the price of a 5800 there.
Please note that the warranty on a 5800 bought in the UAE is not valid in Pakistan.
Also please note that Nokia phones from any official Nokia factory in the world are made according to the same standards and will be of identical build quality regardless of the factory of origin. The things you have to look out for are FAKE Nokia phones, ie. phones which are not Nokia devices at all but cheap knock-offs manufactured usually by Chinese companies.

Nokia C-5.00 (5 mp) contact problem

Last month i bought new nokia C5-00 (5 mp). noticed that most of my contacts do not shows up for selection while i am sending massage to more then one contact.
contacted Nokia Care Centre (Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi - Pakistan). they also checked confirmed me that there is a bug in Nokia C5.00 (5 mp series)
Breif description of said problem mention hereunder
1.) Create contacts start with alphabet “AA” like “AA Smith”, “AA Richard…..”.”AA ….”
atleast 8 – 9, also create one contact start with alphabet “W” like “Wajdan”
2.) Go to write message option and go in “To” option type “W” mark contact “Wajdan” clear filter contact field and then type “AA” you will be find that device do not show complete contact which are starts with “AA”.
My hand set IME # ******
Would you please advise Nokia care Centre in Karachi. Address : Ground Floor, Ibrahim Trade Tower, Main Shahra-e-Faisal, Karachi – Pakistan. Phone : *****3 to fix problem on most immediate basis.

Hey Buying_Samsung, Welcome to the Nokia Forums.
We are sorry that you have not enjoyed your user experience so far with the C5-00.
Please check that you have the latest software update on your device.
If you have the latest update, please go into your control panel on your PC and go to your Device manager and uninstall the drivers for your C5-00, restart your PC and replug your device and let the drivers install.
You can also reinstall the phone software, using Nokia suite, This will probably resolve most of the issues you are experiencing with your device. If the reinstallation does not work, please take your device to your local Nokia Care point to have a technical expert look at the phone as it is more than likely a hardware issue.
Please dont forget to create a backup before performing any sort of reset on your phone.

Nokia C1-02 Not identifying caller (CLI problem)

Hi everyone, I have bought Nokia c1-02 v5.40
Some Numbers are saved in phonebook with country code +923xx and some are saved without country code 03xx.
When some caller calls me, his name is not displayed (identified) but when this caller sends me sms, then his name is displayed ..... and some callers names are displayed during call but not displayed in sms.
any solution to this problem?

Let me re-explain everything again
I have bought Nokia c1-02 (China Mobile) from CHINA which was on software v5.40 and now i have updated to v6.15. I am now in Pakistan now. The problem which i am facing is:
1. I have saved a person "Peter" with mobile number "+923xxxxxxxxx". Now
when Peter calls me, his name appears on my mobile screen but when Peter
sends me sms, then his name is not displayed in incoming sms.
2. I have saved another person "Ali" with mobile number "03xxxxxxxxx". Now
when Ali calls me, his name doesn't appears on my mobile screen but when
Ali sends me sms, then his name is displayed in incoming sms.
3. But When i save a person "Steve" with 02 mobile numbers "+923xxxxxxxxx"
& "03xxxxxxxxx" , Name of Steve is displayed both on incoming call as well
as sms.
I hope you understand my problem as it is not duplicate contacts issue.
Any solution to my problem?

No one can tell with any authority as even Nokia doesn't announce the Firmware release dates except in very special cases.
You will have to wait and keep on checking for the availability..

No here maps in Pakistan.

There are no here maps of Pakistan. Neither for viewing online nor for download to view in offline mode. Many apps such as here drive, Nokia transit etc depend on here maps and routes. Please provide here maps of Pakistan as this will prove to be a great feature for Pakistani consumers of Nokia/Microsoft. This will also be helpful in future integration of here maps with Cortana and Microsoft Band when they are released in Pakistan. The map download feature of here maps will attract more smartphone uses towards Windows Phone.
