Problem with Nokia Messaging on my N97 (V22)

Since afew weeks I have a strange problem with Nokia Messaging on my N97.
I receive emails using Nokia Messaging (V10.2.26) with a date shown incorrect as 01.01.0000 and the email then can’t be opened/read.
This happens either on 3G connection as well as WLAN and it seems to be by random, not only HTML-emails or emails with text only.
I have uninstalled Nokia messaging already and reinstalled V10.1.24 but the problem still remains.
Is there any idea how to fix this issue because it is quite annoying and I can’t use the full functionality of my cell phone?

absolutely m8. thats why i gave you a kudos.
the challenge is that NM has been unruly as of late...and believe when i say that i have literally been on the phone teching nokias support up to tier 2 and creating, canceling, trying new acounts with different email, different ways of creating them, with wifi, gprs...and praying for hours accross mutliple phone calls
but to no avail, are the devices we are using connecting and syncing...even with thier n900 specialist which i had to help him! lmao.
another option for a solution is alwayhs welcome as there are more then one way to skin a cat.
i hope it works for him and others as i kno9w thesome that are just giving up on it.

2. When will Nokia messaging show up an @ sign for new email (which they claim on their website)
3. When can we control to font size when viewing message for N97.
But the way i dont think we asking too much for an iPhone killer for all the features that iPhone provided out of the box and FOC

Forget about the request Nokia just partner with Singtel and ask me to pay up to use this half boil half functioning application..

Fed up with N97 flagship rip-off

I bought this phone just days after it came out back in june here in Holland.. Thus I paid the full price, meaning I would be one of the users which would recieve the latest rifraf to FW the first, with first I mean one of the first of course. I should have smelled sh^t when my phone came like 5-6 days after my order..
To my surprise I came in contact with N97 users which bought it from a telecom-company which are able to update long before I can.. So my unbranded phone still awaits update while other douches which bought it weeks after me PAYING FAR LESS than me are already up-to-date?? WHAT IS UP WITH THAT??
Contacting Nokia Care and recieved this dumb useless message: FW is still tested and will be available when stable? What the hell?? Why release it in the first place??
Another big surprise, hundreds of euro's for a glitchy phone with headset I barely use, whilst other phone-companies offer some (cheap) fulfilling products such as a leather case etc.
I think this is my OWN fault, I was the one who bought the product, I was the one who trusted Nokia and went through with the phone, I envy family-members who got rid of the piece whilst I still have it in my hand, deffective
I feel really stupid, for buying this product, Safe to say my first phone was Nokia and always trusted Nokia unfortunately a 600 euro rip-off punished this trust

@ nottmbantam: as you know, we who run this forum only remove posts that clearly violate our guidelines. We do not remove any criticism, as long as it's civil and constructive.
As for the N97 updates, it's unfortunate that the latest version is not yet available for all markets. To my understanding, new versions are released daily for new countries and the Nokia Software Update team is very aware that many of you are waiting for the version for your product codes.
@ Sokrates: I can only guess that there may be something specific in the local N97 version that has made it to be released slower than others. But I am sure that the local Nokia Benelux sales office is also very aware of the situation and are working with the software team to get the local versions available as soon as possible. I would think that this is a top priority for them. Unfortunately there are no public release dates for the new versions, but I am sure it's coming and hopefully soon. I'm sorry that I can't help you more with this.

There is a "internet şifresi" inbox which is the password inbox. You can login the password with N78 but with n97 you can't.
I wish the problem will fix with the new firmware update.....

I have the same issue with mine. People say they can only hear every other word.
I just use a Bluetooth headset now

Yes usse the same ID. However, they will need their own email addresses for FaceTime and Messages

Problems with n97 apps connecting to network (Vodafone UK – 3G)
Recently a number of my apps which used to connect automatically to the internet (which ever was available – known wi-fi or 3g) have stopped doing this. They now only connect to one known wi-fi.
I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling each app, but this hasn’t solved the problem. I’ve checked for software updates and do not believe any have been applied or are available. All apps have been downloaded via Ovi on the phone. I still am able to access the internet by the web browser which was installed on the phone and via google maps (which also still manages GPS position, search, etc).
The apps which I notice causing a problem are:
Sainsbury’s/nectar
Tesco
Map my tracks
Snaptu
Opera Mini
Any one got any ideas???

Go onto all iPods, and turn on "Restrictions" and disable installing apps. The apps do auto download, and the only way around the messages problem is to make 3 Apple IDs. When installing apps, it will ask for a "restrictions" password, and you can enter that.

Yes, even though they have their own IDs for the iTunes Store, if everyone uses the same ID for home sharing, you can share the content.

Nokia N70 starts with a white Screen.

My nokia N70 starts with a white Screen and does not go any further. It does not make any sound while starting. When i connect it to the PC it is not detected by the PC while the phone is on showing a white screen. I have tried performing a Hard reset using the *3 and the green key but it is not formatting either. I also tried updating the software but as the PC is not recognising the mobile connection the updater is not working either. I am using the latest PC suite.
Please help...

Remove the battery for at least 5 minutes and then replace and see if that makes any difference. Also try removing the memory card.
If the above two don't work then try these.Always remember to backup your phone before performing resets as your data may be lost.
First try these
*#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default
*#7370# - Reformat your phone
If still not working
Then try the "3 finger deep reset". With the phone powered off, depress and hold these three keys simultaneously "*" "3" "green phone" and then power on phone using the on/off button whilst keeping the three keys depressed until you hear start-up tone.
This should ONLY be done if the device doesn't power up normally anymore and it wipes everything in the Phone memory that is not part of the ROM.

I believe Microsoft-Nokia is interfering with my 8...

Guys, there have been some sudden changes in my Nokia 808 Pureview that has only left me thinking that why would Nokia interfere wirelessly, over internet to sabotage my 808 Pureview:
1. Nokia Internet Radio has stopped updating its Radio lists. I used to get a list named like, "Service has been discontinued" in June 2014. And now, I get error, "Unable to perform operation".
That is ok, if they don't want to sent these lists to us.... I'm ok with that.
But they disabled "Favorites" too, which means our previously stored stations are not working, despite their IP address being the same, and working otherwise.
2. Nokia Music service, I'm seeing, has totally disabled its History option. So, I can't re download damaged songs, or check out albums I downloaded. Its a paid service and Nokia shouldn't have touched it.
Plus, if we hang up a download, and don't remember which one has hung up, we can't ever go back there and cancel it. In that situation, the entire app will be useless until the download completes...
3. They're jumbling up the "Nokia Store" searches, with wrong returns, maybe just to deceive us that Nokia Store is very very bad.
Plus, many many times there are failed downloads. You have to try 20 times to get one app.
Plus, the home store has some useless apps, like "All Media Player" which doesn't play anything at all.
I searched "Music Speed Changer" and it did not list me this application, which I personally confirm that it is present in Nokia Store.... with the same exact spelling too.
I searched "Fashion Icon", the famous free game by Gameloft... Again its present in Nokia Store with the same name, and I'm using it too, but the search has been sabotaged.
4. Nokia Recommends has stopped working. This is just a small app though.
My concern is that Nokia promised to support Symbian devices till 2016. And we're just in 2014 mid.
I'm concerned that Microsoft-Nokia might remove our other web services like E-mail, social networking, etc. much before the expiry period... And I hope that doesn't happen. But logically, I think that's the next step by Microsoft-Nokia.
And I hate Microsoft-Nokia for this.
If you make me hate Symbian, will I start loving Lumias and WPs? I mean, come on, who at Microsoft or Nokia made this dis-reputing decision?
You killed Symbian. Why not be happy with it and let us live in peace?

One of the best services Microsoft can offer.
Onedrive is working lika an charn even on Nokia N9 and almost as good on Symbian 3-devices such as the 808 Pureview anyhow.
Buy the application "files plus pro".
If you are using like me more than one handsets/platforms (a Meegoo N9, 808 Symbian 3 and occasionally wp8-handsets such as Lumia 1020) I also can recomend Evernote cause it is working on all 3 platforms.
Furthermore I really can understand your anger against Microsoft.

Problem In using Nokia PC Suite with the new Nokia...

My Nokia Ahs 310 is a new phone I bought and I tried with it to connect internet through my PC using Nokia PC Suite. But, when I connect phone to the PC it tells that it can't find the drivers and install the new device. And in someyimes in Nokia PC Suite it showed as "connected in non compatible USB".
However I can't log into internet using my Nokia Asha 310. Please help me in this regard.

scoobyman, I think KRNS tries to use his Nokia 310 as modem for his computer. Consequently, no Wi-Fi involved.

install the latest Nokia Suite. This install the latest Connectivity Cable Driver automatically. Then
install the latest PC Suite (I like its modem handling more)
Nokia 310 » SIM Manager » choose SIM1 (at least for data)
PC Suite » Menu » File » Connect to the Internet
Works here with my Nokia 310, just tested for you. However, I was not able to use SIM2 for the computer. If neither PC Suite nor Nokia Suite worked for you, please say so!
