Nokia J with two simultaneous connections to PC (S...

Hi,
I just want some additional information of the Nokia J headset before I'll buy this headset.
In my work I am answering to Skype calls (running in my PC) and of course to calls to my mobile. In your marketing material you say that this supports two devices simultaneously. Does it mean two mobile phones or does it work with PC and mobile phone at the same time?
I mean I would like to keep this headset in this charging and carrying clip. And for example when I see a incoming Skype call (in my PC), I could just take the headset from the clip and answer to this Skype call. And after that, when I receive a call in to my mobile, I just can again take the headset from the clip and answer to that call.
I just need a confirmation that it works, before I buy this. (Yes, I know I could use the Skype in my mobile. But I just don't want to.)
Thanks,
-Jortte

I have managed to get Nokia J connected to my laptop and have VoIP calls with it.
I just followed the instructions posted in another thread on this forum.

it would be possible without damage to the phones if only the charging pins was used
but it would mean the 2 phones would charge 1/2 as fast as normally

  • SAS MPIO Driver Server 2012 HCT Fails with "make sure two ports are connected" error even with two ports connect

We are running the Server 2012 HCT against a SAS MPIO driver for a server platform with dual redundant storage controllers.  The test fails with this error:
    (x) For non-iSCSI test environment, please make sure at least two HBA ports are connected to the storage target.
    File=testsrc\driverstest\storage\wdk\mpiotest\logotest\devicelib\mpiodevice.cpp Line=2772
    Error: 0x0, Error 0x00000000
The system does have two ports connected so the cause of the error is unclear to us.  We do not have any problems when running the 2008R2 HCT.  Are there any known issues or fixed or workarounds for this problem?

Sorry, maybe I should say WLK rather than HCT.  We are trying to submit the SAS MPIO driver for WHQL signing.
Here is a sample MPIO snapshot where you can see our driver is controlling five drives each with two paths.

  • Trouble with two computers connecting to wireless on WRT54G

I am using a WRT54G router and I am unable to have two computers connected to the wireless at the same time. When one computer connects it will boot off the other computer and/or not allow it to connect. Both machines are macs and it switches between the both of them- it is not consistently one or the other who has the issue. Any ideas or suggestions?

You can try upgrading the router's firmware and then re-configure it...
Go to website linksysbycisco.com/downloads.........insert model no of your router in serach tab......select proper version of your router........download the firmware file......save that file on desktop
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...
In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1...Leave the Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful"  After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
    Now reset your router :
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

  • Connecting two networks with two internet connections

    Hi All
The situation is this. Two firms situated next door to each other and linked by their businesses and by their family ties, wish to connect their two networks together. They both have internet connections. The reason is for security, in the event of one internet going down they can use the other one.
As I see it, we could use a wireless bridge/repeater to connect the two ethernets together, turn off DHCP in both networks, and manually configure the IP addresses on one network to say 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.100 and set the gateway as the router address in that network, again manually allocated. Then on the other network set the scope to 192.168.1.101 to 192.168.1.200 with the router on that network set in this range.
In the event of failure of one internet connection, it would just require the gateway to be changed for those pcs to access the router on the other network.  I know of a little program which would do that automatically.
Would this work? If so which Linksys equipment would I need to bridge the two networks. I know some equipment will do the bridging and allow wireless clients to connect, so that would be useful, I know it slows it down by half, but this might be acceptable.
Will there be other problems rearing their ugly heads which I haven't considered.
The networks are not large, so manual IP configuration is not a problem.
    Thanks

I presume both networks are using wireless connections.  If you can see your neighbour's network on your computer and vice versa, all you need is the passphrase to connect.  You may have to disable filter mac address in your router.

  • Nokia E72 with no hotmail connection

    Hi,
I have a nokia e72 and I want to delete the two hotmail mailboxes on my phone because they do not work since january 27 2011. Why no idea. Now I want to delete them but I cann't because I have no connection. The phone says, you need to have connection first before deleting? Can anybody help?
I also need to setup my hotmail.com connection again. Can anybody have an idea what the new mail server are or are they still the same and what are the exact settings. Because I changed so much on my phone. I think I do not have the right settings anymore.
I run 052.005 software on my phone.
    Anton

Try these settings: http://en.kioskea.net/faq/4026-nokia-n97-configure-your-email#hotmail-account-settings It's the same I have except for the accespoint of course.
    Pop3 port should be 995
    smtp should be 25.
Check what the default is first and try both if they aren't the same.
If that does not work, it might be that your ISP has blocked a port.
Take a look here too and see if you can get it going again:http://techblissonline.com/hotmail-pop3-and-smtp-settings/

  • Seperating audio files with two simultaneous tracks

    hi,
we did some after recording, whereby we recorded a fresh dialogue track over the top of the original movie file, so we now have avi files with video and TWO audio tracks playing at the same time...
How do I go about separating the audio in Premiere CS2?
    Thanks heaps in advance!
    Leo

    hi again,
thanks for those quick replies John and Bill (yes i was wanting to take one of the audio tracks and kind of double-it-up, so that the re-recorded layer replaces the original layer and becomes stereo)...
I actually just found out how to do it... using your helpful "fill left" hints...
for anyone else who is looking to easily use just one audio file...:
just go to the sound effects panel and under the 'stereo' tab there's an option called 'fill left' and 'fill right'...
    just like you mentioned!
    thanks again so much!

  • SCXI - 1112 wrong value with two channels

    Hi,
I work with VI logger to acquire temperature with 1000DC chassis and SCXI1112. My problem is when I use more than 1 thermocouple, temperature is wrong : for exemple, I start an acquisition with two thermocouples connected and if I disconnect one, the value of the other change (not always same step).
My measures are made on PCB with potential : this can be the reason of my problem ?
Is there any solution to solve this ?
    Thank you for your help
    Regards
    Michael

    Hello,
Your problem seems quiet strange cause you're using 2 (or more) different
channels. It may be the consequence of the fact that you just touch the cold
junction compensation when you unplug a thermocouple. Or it might also be
linked to the fact that you bring cold air when you unplug it...
    What's the temperature modification range? 0.5° ? 0.05°?

  • Two adsl connection on router

    Hi Guys,
I have a router with two adsl connection, one of them is working fine. The another one I cannot see any packet going to the ISP. The interface atm is up, there is no reset, error, etc but the router doesn't try to connect to ISP, I see this when I enable debug ppp authentication.
The two links are from the same service provider, so I have swap the links to be sure that both are working. I had no issues with links. The configuration are the same as you can see below, just the username and password are different.

Thank you for your reply. Actually the IOS was the issue, that one that I was using doesn't support the configs that I need. After the upgrade it started to work straightaway.

  • Two network connections simultaneously?

    Hi,
I want to do screen sharing with presenters, so I can use SnapzPro on my MacBook to record their screens on their Mac. Can the Mac that is presenting be connected to my Mac via a crossover cable, and to the wireless network via AirPort so they can access the internet? The reason for this suggestion is that when I tried to use a wireless network with ARD, it was far too slow (screen redraw once every minute or two), so I'm wondering if I can use a crossover cable between my Mac and the presenter's Mac and then use ARD 2.2 to do the screen capture, while the presenter's Mac is also connected and they can use regular internet access via AirPort.
Can a Mac have two simultaneous network connections like this?
    Any ideas/comments?
    Thanks,
    Russ Conte

Yes, the Mac can be connected simultaneously to both ethernet and Airport. And, as C.Moser indicated, any G4 class or newer machine will auto sense the direct connection.

  • Simultaneously trigger and display two camera images with two frame grabbers

When I try to simultaneously trigger and display two camera images, each with their own frame grabbers, Labview is only able to display one of the images at a time.
    My hardware:
Two Sony XC-EU50 cameras (not in sync with each other)
    NI-1410
    NI-1405
    My Software:
Windows XP and Labview 7.1 with IMAQ
I connect each camera to its own frame grabber.  Both frame grabbers are in the same computer.  I input a trigger into each frame grabber.  Both trigger signals are identical.  Trigger rate is only 0.2 Hz.
I want to display and save both images at the same time.  The program i put together only displays one image at a time.  The image that is displayed alternates from one camera to the other.
    Please help with any suggestions.

    Hi Shahab.
Without having triggered two cameras connected to two NI boards with LabVIEW yet: This shouldn't be a limitation in LabVIEW.
Updating two Image Display Indicators in one run of a while loop definitely works properly, so this cannot be the reason for the problem.
Your code uses the IMAQ Snap.vi. This VI is not reentrant, so the both instances of this VI on your block diagram cannot execute at the same time.
I could not find an appropriate example matching your scenario exactly. (Maybe someone else knows better?)
I recommend to have a look at the examples in the "IMAQ Signal IO.llb" and do some copy and paste to get a VI that satisfies your requirements.
The "Grab with two boards.VI" illustrates how to acquire images without using the not-reentrant "IMAQ Snap.VI".
    Hope this helps, Guenter

  • Nokia Ovi Suite has lost connection with your devi...

5 months has passed and many hours on the phone to Nokia. The phone has been completely reset /reboot by Nokia time and time again and still the phone gets this message when trying to update software..."Nokia Ovi Suite has lost connection with your device"....We were optimistic that the software upgrade would solve the other problems we are having with all the Nokia phones at work. They are all E52's

Having the same issue currently with an E72 software version is 054.005.266.02 and Ovi Suite 3.1.1.80
Actually I had connection lost all the time with all previous versions of Ovi Suite too... it has never been reliable.
Using original Nokia USB cable, connected securely. Tried different PCs, different USB ports, same issue.
Just now I'm trying software update and it looses connection during the backup process all the time... very disappointing. Screenshot attached if anybody is interested.

It would be awesome to be able to have the ability to do both. Does anybody know how?
