Nokia Lumia 2520

I have the Lumia 2520 keyboard cover.  I have had to replace it within one week of purchase.  The reason for this was that some of the keys did not work.  Now the same issue is happening to the replacement.  More and more letters are not working on the keyboard.  I am so tired of it I don't feel like trying to get a replacement.  Nokia did a poor job on the keyboard for the Lumia 2520.

hi mate sorry to hear of your experience. in this case you will need to persist with your retailer/Nokia Care until the issue is resolved to your satisfaction

  • Nokia Lumia 2520 Charger

    I bought a Nokia Lumia 2520 Tablet
One charger comes in the box. The tablet doesnt charge through usb port (data only).
There appears to be no chargers on sale (anywhere!) for this tablet.
    What happens if:
The one I have breaks, is faulty, is lost, left at a hotel etc etc etc.
I want to charge the tablet in my car
Where can I get another charger from??? The current situation leaves me in a very precarious situation. If i was to lose my charger - my tablet would be unusable as I would never be able to charge it again - £400 down the drain.
Can someone please tell me where I can get a charger from?

No guarantees, but found this at Amazon. Right specs, looks like the right connector.  2520 Charger
Another one  Just chatted with the MS Store and they suggested calling them at 800-642-7676 and see if they can find one. Good luck.  Looks like Verizon and AT&T bailed on them. Might try calling their support, especially if you bought from one of them.
BTW, be careful. There are tons of chargers that claim to be Lumi 2520 cell phone chargers, etc, that clearly are 5v, i.e. USB, chargers. The 2520 does NOT charge off USB, as you probably know. The two I linked are the proper voltage at least, 20v.
And there is a thread here that says the Samsung series 7 slate charger works. It is 19v, but that could actually work. If it were me, I think I'd risk the Samsung. Got an actual confirmation from a real guy.

    Nuwankul,
Nokia recently released a product advisory about the aformentioned charger at http://www.nokia.com/global/2520-charger
Quoting from the product advisory page: "Microsoft Mobile is today encouraging consumers in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Russia and Switzerland with the affected charger to register their details so that Microsoft Mobile can provide a remedy that will address the product quality issue. Those consumers with an affected charger will be sent a replacement EU plug to attach to their charger base. • Nokia Lumia 2520 Power Keyboard

Hey Everyone. I have a slight problem. I recently purchased this tablet (Nokia Lumia 2520) because I was looking for neither a tablet or laptop. I wanted both. So I came to contact my Verizon dealer, who recommended this tablet because "It comes with a keyboard out of the box." However, as you may know, I opened the box and of course no keyboard!
I've been researching how to aquire this keyboard, and I've come to no avail. I can't buy it and I can't get my free one.
I'm greatly satisfied with the tablet so far. I have no doubts it's a fantastic product.
However, I've come to a crossroads with the keyboard. I'm greatly disappointed in the false advertisement.
What do you recommend I do?
I'd like to keep the tablet, but I'm not about to pay upwards of $120 for something that was supposed to come with it. I'll return it before that happens.

your only option of those peovided is to return it. you may recommend further training for the sales reps as well. the rep will hopeflly learn as $500 is a decent chunk of commission lost.

  • Connection problem with Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet

I found the problem when connecting Nokia Lumia 2520 Tablet to Linksys EA4500 router WiFi network "Wireless-N" mode. TheInternet and local network  connection disappears after a few minutes, the ping test fails. In "Wireless-A" mode (5 GHz) and "Wireless-G" mode (2,4 GHz) connection is normal, but i need more speed!
When i have connect this tablet to the other routers in mode Wireless-N connectivity problems do not occur.
Reset the router and the tablet to the factory defaults does not help.

  • Silverlight on Nokia Lumia 2520

I am trying to watch BT sport on my Nokia Lumia 2520 but says I need Microsoft Silverlight. Any ideas how I can do this?

    Hi Jennifer,
I believe the Lumia 2520 is a non Intel\AMD processor, maybe ARM. This would mean Silverlight is not supported.

  • Nokia lumia 2520 two observed bugs

Yesterday, i bought a nokia lumia 2520 (UK) and till now i observed two bugs:
    1. Reader App froze the screen. I was reading a pdf and the screen froze, the solution was to hold the power button to hard reboot the device.
    2. Infinite restarting. i shutted down the table with 3% of battery. After that i tried to turn on the device and a infinite loop of restarts was started, and it continued even after "Automatic Repair". In order to solve the problem, i plugged the power adapter.
Probably these failures caused because of the Windows RT OS, and i would like to inform nokia about them because the tablet (hardware+nokia apps) is awesome.

I'm having a similar issue here in the US. I bought my Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet 5 days ago. It has crashed on me everyday and generally have been able to get it to reboot. I tried a hard reset and yesterday tried to do a "refresh" of Windows RT. It worked fine after everything and so I used it last night and put it away without charging it because wanted to see if the battery would last with it off overnight. I woke up this morning (9 hours later) and the camera light keeps blinking and it won't boot. I left it to charge for two hours and it still has the blinking camera light and even though the Windows button vibrates, there is nothing on the screen. I have tried to power off and on, I have tried to hold down power and volume down for 70 seconds (both numerous times now) with no luck. It seems to have bricked, minus the blinking light and vibrating windows key. Anyone else have any suggestions? I really would hate to return it cause last time had a problem AT&T tried to screw me over with sending a used device instead of the new one I paid for.

  • Nokia Lumia 2520 Outdoor readibility/ " enhanced o...

    Hello,
I'm a student from europe and keen to buy a tablet. I'm looking @ the lumia 2520 and must say that so far it is looking good! Most of all, I'm interested in  the " enhanced outdoor readibility " and since I'm often on the go or outside that would be one of my prime concerns. I didn't realize that it was available until after I saw the ad with the dog.
I'd like to know, if anybody could explain to me a little more what that "enhanced outdoor readibility" actually is?
Because I still have my doubts! (not to mention the limited RT operating system) Is there a technology behind it or does it merely have do with good resolution and the 650 nits that you can also see in the specs. Does it go by a name...?
I'd like to learn a little more about it before I make a choice.

It's basically the Clearblack technology Nokia developed for their phones but on the next level.
There are several articles around the internet explaining the technology, amongst others on Nokia Conversations here.

Where are you located? You registered for the 2520 charger replacement in the local Nokia website before May 31st, is that right? Check this link for information about the 2520 charger advisory and compensatory voucher: Nokia Announces Product Advisory for AC-300 Charger for the Lumia 2520 tablet in select European cou....

  • Nokia Lumia 2520 - stuck in updating mode.

I have a new Lumia 2520, which I began to commission today.  I got it to look for updates, and it found a large number to download and install including one for the firmware.  It appeared to download them, but then installation of all of them repeatedly failed, with the error message saying that an update was already in progress.  I left it for four hours, still the same.  Then from experience in commissioning Windows PCs I set it to restart and during the closedown sequence it came up with a blue screen and a message "Keep your PC on until this is done.  Installing update 1 of 5".
Nine hours later the same message is displayed.  The tablet is plugged into the charger, and is sitting adjacent to the wifi router: it has power and connectivity.  Online information suggests that no update to this device should take more than 25-30 minutes.  It just seems stuck: won't switch on, won't switch off.
What's wrong, and what can I do about it?
    Thank you.

Hi, auchindrain. How's your tablet now? If you're still having the same issue, best to try the troubleshooting steps shown at this link: Lumia 2520 - Need help in fixing a problem?. Note that this link is intended for a specific region; search the same FAQ in the local MS Mobile support page: MS Mobile - Change locale.

  • Nokia Lumia 2520 Shut off after connected to keybo...

    Hello all,
I have a Lumia 2520 tablet which I've had for about 4 months now.  I initially purchased one of the power keyboards with my tablet which worked great at first.  Then the tablet stopped responding to tkeyboard.  I sent in the tablet for repairs and it was returned with a status "Not broken" or something like that.  The tablet still wouldn't respond to the keyboard, though.  thinking that the problem was most likely teh keyboard, I purchased another keyboard. (I really wanted the red one anyway).
At first, the tablet and keyboard was working just fine.  But two weeks later, the tablet started shutting off when connected to keyboard.  So here's the basic scenario.  If my tablet is docked in the keyboard, I won't turn on.  I've attempted to hold the power button down forcing a full shutdown, and then turn it on, but that doesn't work either.  If I remove the tablet from the keyboard, it still doesn't turn on.  But if I hold down the power button for approx 15 seconds, and then try to turn it on, it comes on without any problems.  Now, if I re-dock the tablet with the keyboard, it immediately shutdown.  As if it's going to sleep.  But once again, will not turn back on unless I repeat the remove and holding down the power button.
Is this a problem with the tablet, or the keyboard.
    Please help.
    thanks!!
    Steve

Yardi Systems supporter of Microsoft and creates program to run on IE. One such program is called Payscan. It allows users to scan Invoices and post into the system. After posting the image of such invoices are abailable for view, for that Yardi prompts to install GPI to view images. However Microsoft does not allow to run such programs in my Windows RT tablet. Is there a work around? The image could be exported as PDF and opened using Adobe, which is a waste of time and space constraints

  • Nokia Lumia 2520 serial number?

I am trying to find the serial number for this device so I can get some technical support.  Can anyone tell me how to find it?

Good day, debraken. You can find the Lumia 2520's serial number by doing the steps below:
Swipe in from the right corner to access the charms.
    Tap Settings.
Select Change PC settings > Network.
Select the name of your broadband connection.
You can also find it to read it from the small print when you remove the SIM card tray. The number should be visible once the tray cover has been removed.
We can also help you out with your queries about your tablet. Just provide us more details about your concerns and we'll be happy to assist you.
We'll wait for your reply. BTW, welcome to our community!

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Yes it can. you have to work at a little. I have a Cisco (Linksys) USB300M working on the back ports on the leyboard cover, and with both USB2.0 and 3.0 OTG adapters on the tablet itself. This is a network adapter that uses the popular AX88x72A chip. The trick is you have to 'manually load' the driver. You can't just go and get one online, because you a) have a hard time finding a driver for the ARM processor, and b) you can't just run an executable to install stuff. Thing is some drivers actually exist already. No idea why the system doesn't just install it, unless it doesn't inderstand the device and driver are related. In fact you do get a warning about that.
So, be in desktop and  plug in your USB Ethernet adapter, and it won't work. You'll see it loading device drivers, but afterwards nothing.  Open device manager. you'll see your adapter with an exclamation point. tap and hold on it and select Update Driver Software. You have two options, Search automatically, and Browse my computer. Browse. On the next screen select, 'Let me pick from a list'. Scroll down to Network Adapter. In there is a choice of a number of manufacturers, ASIX is on the list with others.  The ASIX option is the AX8772C USB2.0 to Fast Ethernet Adapter. Select that and hit Next. It provides a warning that it isn't sure the driver works with your hardware, but just tell it to go ahead, the driver will install, and your adapter should work fine.
Yes, this is USB 2 only, and 10/100, and it appears that only that ASIX specific driver is available, but it is used in a lot of adapters. Once you install the driver once, you can use the adapter at will, when you need it. I can confirm the Linksys one I referenced works fine, on both the tablet port and the keyboard ports. The keyboard is actually pretty convenient in this respect, as they are full sized ports, and if you are going to be tethered anyway, you probably are going to be working with a keyboard. Again, it works from the tablet port as well, with either a USB 2 or 3 OTG adapter.
