Hi,
This is the incorrect forum however I have had this issue myself
The issue is based on the Microsoft live account verification, if you created a new Microsoft Live account while registering the phone or registering for a new store account you will need to log into the windows live website with the same credentials and
verify/validate the account.
Once done, power off the device completely, then power it back on and you should be good to go :)

Nokia Lumia (928) Problem.

I've recently been having this problem with my Nokia Lumia 928, I was doing a reset (Factory Reset) on my phone when I've been on spinning gears for a few couples last night. Waited and nothing, so I looked around and tried find other solutions.
I did the soft reset/hard reset but all I've been getting is the low battery, I plug it into the charger for a good 30 minutes + But still won't turn on and still saying it is low battery. I tried doing the resets again but basically all I'm getting are the two, spinning gears and the low battery. Also, while it's charging it randomly go'es to the spinning gears.

-Phone was showing spinning gears
-Battery was low
-Took Sim card out
-I logged into find my phone and erased my phone using the on-line feature:https://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/my
-Let it sit for 1 hour then turned it off
-Press and hold the Volume down & Power buttons until the phone vibrates then release the power button but keep pressing the volume down key for approximately 10 seconds until you see a low battery on the screen.
-If you don’t get the low batt and you get the Nokia lego then press the following buttons in this order;
--Volume UP
--Volume DOWN
--POWER
--Volume DOWN.
-Your phone will now automatically reboot and try again till you get the low batt
-When the low batt shows up do nothing, it will turn off by itself

-Press and hold the Volume down & Power buttons until the phone vibrates then release the power button but keep pressing the volume down key for approximately 10 seconds until you see a low battery on the screen.

Nokia Lumia Contact: problem entering alphabet in ...

There are two very serious limitations with the Nokia Lumia 800, so far as the contact entry is concerned:
1. It doesn't have the back cursers, it only has a back space.
Problem: If you enter a number wrong at only one place, or say miss a numeral, you have to type the number from beginning.
2. it doesn't allow to enter the alphabet in the contact number
Problem: If you dial on a bridge like Webex etc, then there is a dial-in number ( generally a long) and a passcode. After you type the dial-in, an announcement will come requesting passcode, but in the old Nokia phones ( and also in Blackberry), you could introduce a pause between the dial-in and passcode by some alphabet : say 'P', 'X' etc.
Fortunately the NLM is compatible with the old Nokia phones, so if we enter 'P', it acts as a temporary pause, so the whole dial-in + passcode can be entered in one go, and you don't need to refer this every time to join the bridge.
But as the NLM-800, doesn't allow alphabet entry through the device we have problem.
If a qwerty keyboard can be provided this can act as a solution,as the phone already supports the feature, also the back cursor ( moving back without erasing the content) will also come.
Can you fix this in the next release.
Also any workaround for now, other than using the Microsoft Live ID?

When controlling the cursor with your finger, its better to move your finger downwards a little bit so that you can still see the cursor without the cursor moving down another line. If you move your finger down slowly to the next line while the cursor is activated then the cursor should still stay on the line above where you can see it clearly.
The cursor will snap to the beginning of each number or each letter if you move it slowly to the left or right, until it jumps to the start of the next letter.
You use the comma " , " to insert a pause, and use it after entering a space. For example if dialling number 123 then you need to pause and enter 456, you type 123 ,456 <<< so there is a space after the 3 then a pause using the comma sign.

Apps are not opening in my Nokia Lumia 530!!

Many apps are not opening in my Lumia 530. For example, when I click on hike messenger it shows hike starting image and then the screen got black. After 2 or 3 seconds the home page of my phone opens. What should I do? Please help.
Don't suggest me to reset my phone. I can't do it in any condition.

Good day, sagarji. Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions! Are there any applications installed on your Lumia 530 before this issue came up? Does this happen to all applications whether downloaded on preinstalled ones? Before the apps crashes or kicks you out, does the phone show any error message?
Try rebooting your phone by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds until it restarts. This won't delete anything in your device, but you may need to re-set up the phone's date and time settings.

Nokia Lumia 920: problems when playing videos on p...

Dear All,
thanks to this great support community website, I will b hopefully able to solve my prob.
Description:
my nokia lumia 920 has got the latest Win8 firmware and Lumia Amber update ( with 3 UK) but when trying to play videos on my win 7 pc's,
the actual video is corrupt or does not work properly,ie sound and slow immage processing.
I have the latest win 7 codec pack on pc and tried apps like VLC,ITunes,Windows Media Player,Nokia Media Player,Nokia Video Converter and others without success......not sure what's wrong but video were ok with my old Nokia N8......perhaps the format is not recognised??????
The fact that the pc plays the video means that format is not an issue but the quality is just terrible,video and sound.
I used both the WP desktop app to sync and dragging and/or dropping file with no difference at all.
DESPERATE,PLS HELP!!!!!!!!

Camera resolution is low and can’t change resolution (Nokia N8 has better)
Lumia 920 is 8Mpix, N8 is 12 Mpx, that said please elaborate. I am pretty sure that you will not be able to tell which phone took a shot if I show you one and don't tell you which I used.
Navigation (Here drive + beta) not comes with traffic updates and not giving alternate routes. Yeah traffic update is in the maps but there’s no point in there (Nokia N8 has better).
HERE suite of apps is relatively new and constantly being updated. I'll come
NBA live streaming No App. And flash player not support. (IOS and Android has it) not on N8 also.
Flash is dead, not available anymore for any up to date OS. Talk to the developer of an app on bringing it to WP8
Alarm won’t work when the phone off (N8 will turn on and works)
Your N8 is never really off
Keyboard not comes with arrow (<>) keys. Can’t type a missing letter between a word, have to delete the word and type the whole thing again.
tap and hold in textbox, cursor appears, move finger (while holding) to where it needs to go
Music player app can’t close. Just pause the song.
There's an app if you feel you must remove the player. Last I checked when paused playback is stopped.

Nokia Lumia 520 problem with internet

Hey
My girlfriend bought today a nokia lumia 520 from an internet shop.
Now she is installing it and it seems to have a problem.
So our netwerk is 'telenet' where we have an abo wich include 1gb internet.
She installed everything like it has to, APN and stuff all ok.
Now she cannot connect to the 3 or 2g netwerk on her phone, it keeps saying we have to put 'roaming' on.
If we do this, the internet goes, but i dont think that is how its supposed, maybe she will have to pay a lot if she does roaming. While we actually dont need it.
Can you help us with this problem?

Nokia Lumia 530 backup problem (Using Windows 8.1)

My phone has suddenly stopped backing up, even though it keeps telling me it hasn't been backed up for some time, and needs to be backed up. When I tell it to back up, it gets to about 99%, and then I get the message "there was a problem backing up your settings. Try again later." What exactly does "later" mean? I've been trying at various times of the day every day for about 4-5 weeks now. From what I've read on the internet, this does appear to be quite a widespread problem.
Other things I have tried:
Turning the phone off and back on again.
Unchecking the "Apps back up" button
Uchecking the "Settings back up" button
Checking both backup buttons again
Deleting previous back ups using my phone
Logging into One Drive on my laptop and manually deleting previous backups
Changing the screen time out on my phone to 15 minutes (as opposed to 1 minute)
Making sure I have a good phone and wifi signal, and having the phone plugged into the charger
None of this has had any effect!!!!
The strange thing is that when I go onto One Drive, it tells me that it did back up (I've only got the one phone, so there's no chance I'm getting confused between phones.)
Please does anyone have any advice? Also, is there a way of telling my phone to automatically back up at regular intervals, eg once a week, or once a month, so I don't have to keep thinking about it?

Hi, TulaTheQuang. Have you tried rebooting your phone by pressing the power and volume down keys simultaneously for 10-15 seconds? Also, check if all system apps on your phone are up to date. Go to Settings> applications> store> check for updates. Check if you will be able to successfully backup your files.

Nokia lumia 920 problems

Hi,
I bought my brand new Lumia 920 just 3 days back and following are the problems.
1. Music is not stoping if you get call when phone is in silent mode.
2. If you hold back button you can see back ground tasks, but you cant kill tem.
3. For saving a contact you need to go through difficult steps. I don't know why it is asking name in different section rather than in same section where it is showing the name.
4. Screen. Rotation. Is very poor for many applications like youtube etc.

If you do not want to sync contact with Google just remove the option in Settings >email+accounts>Google
The idea of the phone being in silent mode is that it does not interrupt anything on the phone. IMO it would be weird if it did. You put incoming calls on silent for a reason.

Nokia Lumia 521 problems

I'm having a few issues with my phone and I want to know if this is normal behavior for this type of phone. I noticed that when I turn my phone off the screen seems to stay on just with nothing but a blank screen and this only happens sometimes so this is why I'm concerned

I can relate to having problems with ur Nokia phn..i purchased the Nokia Lumina 521 3 months ago, the first 30 days was great, I even talked a close friend into buying one a cpl days after I bought nine..after the 30 days past I noticed my phn productivity slowing down. I did the troubleshoot and cleaned out my aps n storage. I was wondering if I was the only one having the troubles with my phn n asked my friend what she thought. She began telling me how pissed she was with this product low n behold we were both having the same issues here almost 2 months n the problems grew for both mine and hers. The phn began to get altogether slower until still today it freezes up on n off thru use, it closes out aps or sights I am in without warning and shuts itself off. It is very frustrating to have expected so much more from a highly recommended phn. I purchased a 2 yr warranty plan upon purchase of the phn, I filed a claim yesterday and found out yes my warranty covers these issues but I have to send the phone in and b without a phone for 10-30 days until repairs can b made. I am outraged at the fact that due to factory default on theses Nokia Lumina 521 phns I am being asked to go without a phn! After all of the problems I have had with this horrid phn I wld have thought a replacement phone wld b offered during repairs or even to be offered an upgraded version of the phone my friend was also told the same thing about her phn. Sadly she was forced to buy a new phone because she runs a business and needs phone accessibility for her wrk. I just expected way more out of the Nokia company to right there mistakes. I do not think the problems u r experiencing with ur Nokia phn is normal and I think it wld b good for u to address the problems about the phn with the manufacturing company and ask for a replacement! An upgraded version for all the disruption and trouble with the phns. I wld also encourage anyone else that is having issues with there Nokia phn to bring it to attention so ppl dnt have to continue to b ripped off or go thru these problems if its addressed it is possible for the company to fix the problem and improve there devices. Thanks for letting me rant n rave, just a very angry customer and feel very ripped off!

NOKIA LUMIA 530 - TYPING / BATTERY /

I am facing the following problems , Purchased from amazon and delivered 3 days back
1.WhatsApp typing giving error , after space I cant type , even Cant delete . Same typing problem in Facebook status also ....!!
2.Phone is getting unusually Hot within 25minutes ....!!!
3.Battery life only 3-4 hrs specially when data On ...!!!

The phone will get hot with continued use and as its new the battery will take time to settle so it will improve in time,you perhaps might want to reset the device and start over again.

I got my lumia 730 about 5 days back, from then on my music pauses automatically and also i am unable to update my playlist with any new songs.
Problems:-
1. Music pauses automatically.
2. Unable to update and save my playlist with any new songs, it just keeps reverting back to the old count of songs.
I use a single sim, and i am using a 16gb class 10 memory card.
Please help, I thought that i was in love with the lumia's but i am starting to hate them now.
Feels like i have wasted a lot of money. Kindly requesting to provide me with some solutions ASAP.

Make sure that the headset is properly inserted. You may try to reformat the SD card, but make sure to save the files on it. If that does not work you may also try the steps provided here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/mobile/support/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA141447. About deleting the temporary files just go to Settings > storage sense > phone/SD card > temporary files & then tap delete.

Nokia Lumia Melting Problem

My 1020 melted around the charging port. This happened whilst using original charger. Bought the phone in the US (AT&T - and it is under warranty) but warranty only covers continental US and I live in Tanzania. A quick web search shows this is happening with other Lumia models too.... and some would have even caught fire. Very frustrating, worrying, and do not know what to do!

Chiefly, Excel program don't have many solicitation , for example, fonts can't be bold, un bold , good gamma style , color...
Columns and rows can't be added or delete...
And important solicitation that I can't use is: I can't copy formula from an cell to other cell community by copy and past ☹☹☹

hi mate, Office on Windows Phone has taken an overhaul in the features demonstrated by the Windows 10 preview. So hopefully later this year, there will be this released.

Nokia lumia 625 problems with 3 bottom buttons

Ive only recently got my screen fixed and today the bottom 3 buttons on my 625 have just stopped working altogether but everything else on the screen works fine, has anyone had this problem and know a solution please, thanks

There's no solution we can give you here as it's likely that damage has occurred or a lose connection happened whilst the screen was being fitted.
I suggest you return to the company that fitted the screen for you and ask them to fix it.
