Nokia Lumia 610

So i've been trying to update my nokia Lumia 610 to the latest version ( 7.10) and i keep get the
801812C1 problem... ive done the solution that http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2484484?toggle=step801812C1#801812C1 suggests and still i cant update my phone.. I hard reset it and tryed again still the problem exists! I dont use the original usb cable that came with the box i bought i dont know if this is a problem.
I would really like someone to helpme since i have the phone nearly for 1 year and i dont wanna change it!

Latest version for the 610 is WP 7.8

Hi,
It has been more than a year since i have been using my nokia lumia 610 but from few days i have been experiencing a problem with my phone . sometimes power button becomes too sensitive and it becomes like a touch button , Also , it turns off by itself And while starting , it reaches upto nokia logo and then vibrate and turns off.
now phone working fine, "this problem started when my phone fall down like 50 cm high to ground".

We can't verify yet if the issue is hardware or software related unless confirmed by Nokia authorized technicians. Just keep monitoring the phone's performance. Nokia Lumia 610 3G connection

i bought a brand new nokia lumia 610,but its connection to internet is by chance despite 3G net work availability.the Nokia C5 003 i owned connects in a split of a second to internet with google.i thought i would enjoy browsing with this new gadget .please help me benefit from my favourite brand `NOKIA`. may be by changing this slow and non connecting `bing search engine`here in my 610.

In my opinion it is always worth trying a new sim to see if that helps, especially if you have been using the same sim for a few years.

heyy i m having a brand new nokia lumia 610 and i am happy with it apart from some discrepancies about file transfer..

You cannot download video files on Nokia Lumia 610, but you can, however, stream supported videos by opening them in the browser. If you want to get a video file on your device, you'll need to transfer it using Zune or Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac (can be downloaded on AppStore). Please see here for instructions on how to synchronise content using Zune.

Nokia lumia 610 randomly dials numbers

I have a Nokia Lumia 610 and for some odd reason last two weeks it randomly dials numbers either mobile or landline. When its sat on the kitchen table, it just dials it, more oddly it switches to loud speaker and it does it about 10-15 times same number one after another.
Switched it off and back on and for a few days its ok and then it does it again. Anyone ever come across this and is it fixable

Do you have a screen protector on the screen? Sometimes a screen protector can do selections on it's on, especially if it is of a lower quality. If so, try to remove the film to see if it fixes the issue.
You could try to reset your phone, which will reinstall the operating system on the phone. To reset your phone, go to settings > about > reset your phone. It is recommended to synchronise all your media files before doing this, as it will remove all user files on the phone. Please note that you will lose all your text messages in the process.

Nokia lumia 610 mms

I have a Nokia lumia 610 and since having it for a month I was unable to use my data I pay for on contract. Also am unable to send or recieve mms messages. I found the network support and did that. My internet is now working but my mms will still not send or recieve. It just says get media content. Then getting media content. Then goes back to the same etc..

Mobile network settings let you control the cellular data connection for your phone. An Access Point Name (APN) is the address your phone uses to connect the internet through your operator network. On the first startup Internet and MMS settings are read from the SIM if available.
Try doing this step:
If you don't already have Network Setup application, download and install the Network Setup application which can be found in the Nokia Collection on Marketplace. Start the application and select your local carrier to setup Internet and MMS settings.

NOKIA LUMIA 610,I need a Change.........Symbian is...

When I bought the phone Lumia 610 2 days ago (5-Aug-2012),I was very happy and thought that Like the N72 (my previous mobile) this one will be much better and I buy it,just because it has the BRAND NAME "NOKIA" ,but now I regret it that WHY I have not checked online regarding its various issues.Most importantly its bluetooth problem.
Now if I need to transfer any file of various extension viz. *.jpg,,*.xls,*.doc,etc. from my friend,I will have to ask him to either mail me or to use "SKYDRIVE",and we all know for sure that every one does not have an account on "SKYDRIVE" and both "SKYDRIVE" and "E-Mail" need internet connection,and in India,internet connection in mobile is not common.Don't to yu all think it is more time consuming to upload a file and download the same (which again depend upon the internet connection & speed) than sending it through bluetooh .when I know the file lies just in his hand (mobile) and if I had a blue tooth file transfer facility in my mobile "LUMIA 610" it could have been done in just few minutes.Now I feel I was fool that I bought this "LUMIA 610" ( So I say My N72 was much much better than LUMIA)
I can't even download a file like,*.zip,*.exe,*.msi,*.rar,etc. from differnt website,all because the browser in LUMIA say "This file format is not supported by this device".....I know its not supported by the device,I want to download it ,so that I can,later, transfer it in my computer.You would say I can do the download directly in my computer,WELL YES,I can do that,but In case of large size files,I think it is better to keep the mobile open for downloading ,than desktop or laptop. ( So I say My N72 was much much better than LUMIA)
I want ask Nokia technician and people concern in NOKIA community,can I expect the following changes in my Nokia Lumia 610 from you people.
1). Complete Bluetooth facility (atleast file (of all type) transfer facility)
2). A good browser,so that I can download ,whatever file I want,whether support or not by the windows mobile.
3)A file manager (like the one you have in SYMBIAN OS ),so that I can take a full advantage of my mobile hard disk/drive,manage my files by putting it in my choice of folder(s)
4. A good PC SUITE ,not this stupid ZUNE,which will support the transfer of all types of file (Like the one you provide for SYMBIAN Mobiles.)
IF NOT ALL THESE THEN TELL ME IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHANGE THE OPERATING SYSTEM OF NOKIA LUMIA 610 TO ANY OTHER BEST AVAILABLE SYMBIAN OS. I feel that ,when it come to mobile OS ,NOKIA's SYMBIAN is much much better than WINDOWS phone/mobile OS.
I hope you people would reply positively and quickly because if all these changes are not possible,then I would be selling this stupid LUMIA to some one else,and would have look at some other handset/mobile,possibly of some other company,because at the same range I m getting a good product. (DON'T TELL ME THAT I MADE A MISTAKE BY BUYING LUMIA,ALL I DID WAS TRUSTING A BRAND "NOKIA" WHICH I WAS USING SINCE LONG TIME)

Sorry you feel this way. Personally I think the Lumia 610 is a great phone with a fantastic price.
SkyDrive is included free with your Windows Phone 8.
Why would you want to download msi, exe, etc? You can't use those files on any phone. Why not download those on the device you are going to use them on?
1) This will not be possible until Windows Phone 8.
2) This has nothing to do with the browser. It has to do with OS restrictions and security measures.
3) This will not be possible until Windows Phone 8.

Unfortunately the Lumia 610 will not be able to run Windows Phone 8. It is not possible to change the OS to Symbian.

3G not working on Nokia lumia 610

so 3g is very slow on my nokia lumia 610. I get 0.3 MBps download and 0.4 upload. And no, it is not ISP's problem, because it works good on my android phones.

i'm experiencing the same problem.... and my 3g work fine in nokia 603 but in nokia lumia 610 it dont work ... on some rare case like few minute a day my 3g work rest of the day it just dont work.... so i guess that it is not about the network........
and the other thing i notice is that when i change the setting from 3g to edge the net start working so that mean my nokia lumias antina is strong enough to catch network of edge of same service provide?????
according to my observation lumia is having problem in 3g.... i have read reviews of people with same problem
and the funny thing is that in every case 3g work fine in first 2-3 month and then problem started
nokia is not identifing the problem and say that none of such problem occur and lumia is a great phone...

I've recently bought the nokia lumia 610 and I can't seem to save pictures from the internet to my phone. I searched some stuff in google images, tried to save a few pictures but there is nowhere to click on that saves images. when I press ... on my display there is no option to save image.can anyone help? I have unlimited internet so downloading data is not a problem. thanks

Your phone can save images from the internet. To do that, you just have to tap and hold the image and then select save image. To view the images, go to Pictures > Albums > Saved pictures.

Hi, govindcom. It's nice to see your post here. Sharing of video via Bluetooth is currently not supported by your phone. You can only use Bluetooth for Transfer my data which can only copy contacts from almost any phone (Symbian, Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and others).

The Lumia 610 (along with all other current WIndows Phones) cannot catch a virus so no anti virus software is needed.
