Nokia Lumia 710 Camera

Hi Team,
Whenever i am capturing images from my cell(NL 710 on default camera settings) the pictures goes bit dark after clicking it.
Kindly advice me the best settings for my camera so i can get good indoor as well as outdoor pictures.

I don't have a 710 in front right now but it is generally as follows.
The modes are self explanatory. Select the mode that best describes the situation and you are probably on the right track. It is also a good idea to play around with the various modes in different conditions and you sill see the difference. This will help you select the correct mode for future reference.
With ISO, the higher the number the less light the camera is required for the shot. However, the higher the ISO the grainier the photo becomes. So the darker it gets the higher the ISO should be.

NOKIA Lumia 710: Touch screen focus no longer work...

Hello.
I've only had my Lumia 710 for two weeks. Up until 4 days ago, the touch screen focus attribute was working perfectly. I was taking pictures and it simply stopped working.
I've since tried resetting the camera options back to defaults with no luck. I recently updated the phones software pn 10.18.2012 with no change either. I also took out the battery and sim card out of frustration and obviously had no luck.
Aside from having to do a hard reset, does anyone have any suggestions regarding how to possibly fix this?
Maybe I'm missing an obvious and simple setting? Maybe not. Lol

Welcome to Nokia Support Discussions!
Normally Nokia Lumia 710 should focus on the part you tap with your finger (and show a reticle while doing so) and snap a picture. There is no setting to switch this off, so it should be working by default. We would advise you to reset your phone at Settings > About > Reset your phone. Just remember to backup your media files before doing so, because it will wipe your phone clean. If the issue persists, visit your local Nokia Care point and let them have a look.

If you want your photos to end up in iPhoto, just do a normal sync. If you don't want to use iPhoto, or if you just want to put your phone photos in a normal visible folder on the desktop, luckily when you plug in the iPhone a Mac sees it like a camera or card reader. This means the iPhone will show up in common applications that have an import-from-camera feature. I've copied photos off my iPhone using Apple Image Capture, PhoneView, and Adobe Lightroom, for example.

Nokia Lumia 710 white display

Hello,
I have nokia lumia 710 for more then 2 years, and last week the display is compleat white. I can`r see the icons or anything. When i turn off and turn on every thing is normal, but aftter that the display is complet white, even the camera cant be turn on. When i pres the volume buttons the indicator for the volume level is working. i can make calls if someone is calling me, but i can`t see anything afther that..
Can anybody help me?

Try the Nokia Software Recovery Tool if this fails i woould send it off for inspection at your nearest nokia care point,better again i would lean towards buying a new phone being honest as its outdated.

Here's an example for you to understand.
Let say, you just bought a phone with the earliest firmware. And you planned to upgrade your phone to the latest firmware. When you update it through Zune, it will automatically update the first update, then second update, third update until the latest update. It will update all those one by one and it will tell you to unplug your phone when the latest update is updated on your phone.
Your friend's phone is updated, but probably not on the latest one.
Anyway, you might want to check your phone for the latest update. It is available for your phone according on your product code. If your phone has camera extras, Internet Sharing and Flip-To-Silence features, it means your phone is fully updated to the latest update.

Connect Nokia Lumia 710 to Arch Linux [SOLVED]

Hi,
I have a Windows Phone, Nokia Lumia 710. I think everyone knows that dealing with Windows phone sucks a big time. But when I connected it to a Ubuntu machine, it detects my Phone as a portable device and I can browse all over my data in the phone. But when I connect it to my Arch Linux, it detects the phone as a portable player and even asks me to open it with Dolphin. But when I open it there is nothing inside. It says "camera:/" on the address bar. I want to browse my stuff in my Linux installation, without going to Windows.
I had the same problem with my previous Arch Installation.
Can anybody help me out here?

No batteries for Nokia Lumia 710?

I am in Perth, Western Australia and I am one unhappy customer
Last Friday I went to Battery World to get a spare battery for my new Nokia Lumia 710 as I'm travelling overseas.
They don't have them. I phoned JB HIFI as I bought the phone from them. They don't have them. On Saturday I phoned Nokia Care. They said they had a shop at Morley (quite a distance from me).They also said go to JB HIFI (I told them they don’t have batteries), **bleep** Smith, Harvey Norman or Telechoice. I went to each of these, they don’t have them and never have, nor did they give any indication that they ever would have them.
I went to the Telstra Shop. The chap kindly looked up the address for Nokia Customer Care here in Morley, Perth, Australia – he commented that I could not phone them because their phone number was no longer on the website. Therefore there was no way of my checking that they had a battery before I went there. I drove quite a distance to Morley. When I eventually found the business I was greeted with Business Hours 09:30 to 17:30 Monday to Friday.
When I returned home I phoned Nokia Customer Care. I told them I had driven to the business and it was shut and it would have been nice to have been told that before I drove there. They told me that’s quite right they are not open on Saturdays. I was once again told to go to JB HIFI, **bleep** Smith, Harvey Norman, Telechoice. I told them they had already told me that and I had already established and told Nokia Customer Care that they did not have batteries and never had them.
I was told they would send through a query (?to God) and I would receive an SMS in 24-48 business hours as to whether there was a battery available at Nokia Customer Care. Today I received a voice mail telling me that there are no batteries available at Nokia Customer Care at Morley. Once again I am told to go to JB HIFI, **bleep** Smith, Harvey Norman, Telechoice.
I feel like I have been sold a phone for which there are no batteries. With every other mobile phone I have owned I have always had a spare battery, especially when travelling overseas. No wonder it was “cheap”.
I am now faced with travelling overseas with a phone for which there is no possibility of purchasing a spare battery.
I sincerely hope that no-one is buying these phones to run their business with.
I am extremely disappointed and I would advise that nobody purchases this product. Which is a shame since I was happy with the product. It simply never occurred to me that there were no replacement batteries for this product. If I had known that I would not have purchased it.

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time finding an additional battery for your Lumia 710. The Lumia 710 uses the BP-3L battery which should be available through any Nokia Care Point. A list of Nokia Care Points in Perth can be found here. If the battery is not available they should be able to order one for you.
Also if you search for 'Nokia Lumia 710 Battery BP-3L' on the web you will find a number of sources within Australia which will be able to provide you with this battery model. Make sure though you buy an original Nokia battery.

My Nokia Lumia 710 stopped working during updating...

My Nokia Lumia 710 was connected to my Pc by cable and was being updated. As the updating was going on, probably during the 7th or 8th step, it hanged and stopped responding. The updating could not complete. The worst is that the phone can no longer be powered off except when you remove the battery and after replacing the battery, it cannot boot, except to draw a diagram of phone connected to a PC. That was the stage in the updating process when it stopped working.
Please, advice me on what to do becasuse the phone is of no longer use to me. I bought it in December 2012 and it got spoilt in April 2013. I have taken to Nokia Care centre around me. but the price they said they will use to repair it is equivalent to buying a new one. Please help.

@IRFAN_aadat if you are on Windows, you need Microsoft Zune. In Mac OS X, your need the Windows Phone-App. However, which software version and which firmware version do you have? The last update was last year!

Nokia lumia 710 and zune...

Hello,
I make my own video ( mp4 ) and I want to look at them on my Nokia lumia 710 ( windows 7.8 ).
Do I have to use Zune ?
On my laptop I have zune too but I 'd like to delete it because all the pictures I used once, are in the zune pc...to delete them I have to select them one by one and I will be buzy for a week... ( more than 1000 pictures ! )
What happens if I delete zune on my pc ? how can I keep my nokia updated ? How can I look my own made videos on nokia ?

Hello, comima. Yes. You have to use the Zune software to sync or transfer your files between your phone and your computer. Also, you won't be able to update the phone's software without the said tool. To know more about it, you can visit this link: Get to know the Zune software. If you decided to uninstall it, your files are still saved on the computer. In case you would like to delete the photos at the same time, just look for the folder on your computer. Memory storage distribution in nokia lumia 710

I am using Nokia lumia 710. I have downloaded 4 games and taken some photos and videos from my mobile. Mobile is giving instruction to delete something and showing full memory. I think it shouldn't happen because it has 8 G.B. Internal memory. So what to do to solve this problem.

Have you downloaded a lot of map data for Nokia Drive? These usually account for a large amount of memory usage. Also clear browser cache, check emails, especially those with large attachments and also messgges.

When you try to open the camera either by hitting the camera key or going to the app list, what happens?
1. Reboot the phone. Press the volume down and power keys together for 15 seconds until the phone vibrates and starts up.
2. Check that the software of the phone is updated.
3. Reset the phone by going to Settings > About. This deletes all the content of the phone so make sure to create a backup copy of your files. See "Reset and restore your phone" in this link to backup important data on the phone: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2606900.

Facebook stopped working on Nokia Lumia 710

I cannot access or add my facebook account to my Nokia Lumia 710 windows phone. Earlier today the people app stopped updating notifications from facebook. When I looked at the account info it said the account "required attention" I tried to sync then re-enter my password. The phone then said it had trouble connecting to facebook. I deleted the account then tried to re-add it. When I tried to add it said "something went wrong"

The Facebook app doesn't work either. Facebook mobile works so I can access it so I know the password is correct.

I have nokia lumia 710 please please allow the windows 8.1 or 8 updates for nokia lumia 710. I was the first user to buy this phone first in my city after that my friends have come o know about it and later bought the new versions please please release the
update. even after almost 3 years its in the condition of use for next 5 years please provide update or provide buyback as i dont have capacity to buy any more...
Provide buyback atleast i will be able to buy cheap china android phone for playing games like teen patti.
And I forgot to tell I can also help in developing the phone's app.
