Nokia Lumia 720 suddenly shuts down

Hello everyone ! I have recently got a lumia 720 and I'm experiencing a major problem: it shuts down randomly (one time in 2-3 days) and I have to press turn on button + down volume to turn it on ! What I'm supposed to do with that problem ?

hi mate, you tried ensureing that you are up to date with the latest firmware and also the Nokia system app updates from the Store? also try performing a soft reset, and checking that your microSIM is cut correctly and that there is no damage to the microSIM tray holder or the microSD card holder.

Nokia Lumia 720 down volume button not working aft...

Hi just got my Lumia 720 25 days back and now i'm having this issue going on started from today after I wake up my phone the down volume button does not work for a while. What i noticed is until i press the Up volume button the down volume button does not respond anuthing. Is that a software problem ? Because i feel like if i press it little harder than usual it start working fine.
Not sure what to do ? Like it will get resolved with an upcoming update or an hardware issue ? Should I need to check with the Nokia Care.
I already tried to do a soft reset thrice but it still the same. Someone please help !

Even I have the same issue with my Newly purchased nokia lumia 720... Sometime the volume down buttons works perfectly and with time is doesn't work at all is this a software issue... i am facing this since i have downloaded an audio update.... i m tired of resetting the settings i am tired visiting service centers, as they are asking me to leave my phone for 15-20 days as the part is not available with them and my question is. if there is a hardware issue then is should stop working but in my case sometimes it works as perfect as the day i bought the device and sometimes it doesn't work at all. Will this issue be fixed with Amber update... What is the appropriate solutions for this matter please reply......

You can try to perform the soft reset again. If this would fail, below hardware key reset combination is what I can suggest. This deletes all the personal content of the phone.
Option 2: Hardware key combination
Use this option if the phone fails to fully switch on when pressing the power on key.
Note: No warning about data loss!

Step 1
Make sure the charger is disconnected.
1. Switch the power Off.
2. Press and hold the Volume down and connect the charger, if succeed an exclamation mark (!) is shown on the screen.
Step 2
Then input the keys in the following order:
1. Volume up
2. Volume down
3. Power
4. Volume down
Step 3
The phone will reset and boot up automatically. Please note that this may take several minutes.

Since yesterday, i am facing this issue. Its 1 month old mobile.
Today i scared alot with my phone working, because my lumia 720 home screen is automatically working with out any of my input. i had seen 3 to 4 times, it struck off all once and it stands on Calculator screen or messge inbox scrren.
Some times, it automatically asking for deletion of contacts & it is asking for link of contacts to one another & it is automatically going for a new message and asking for some file attachment addition.then i feared alot and i switch off the phone immidiately.
What if, any of my images or personnel files went to a wrong person.
Please suggest any of you, what to do now.

Bug in Nokia Lumia 720" which i was using,After completion of my downloaded app"Java Tutorial" & i started to open this suddenly, my Wi-Fi connection got problem & i have been found a bug on it.

Does it get sorted if you uninstall the subject application ? If so..the problem lies with the application and not the phone ...
..but before that confirm that you are connected to the Internet .. You may try after rebooting the phone. Also un-install and re-install the application and try again ..

Known Issue in Nokia Lumia 720 - Virtual keys stop...

Hi Nokia lumia 720 bottom virtual keys stops working after some time.............. only solution is to replace screen which costs 7000.... Is there any permanent solution? pls help

Did you try any troubleshooting steps ?
1.Simple Reboot
2. Soft Reset : Press and hold Power + Volume(down) keys until the phone vibrates (about 8-10 seconds). - All data will remain intact
3. Factory Reset : settings-->about-->reset your phone - Data will be erased and phone will need re-setup from start
4. Nokia Software Recovery Tool - Data will be erased and phone will need re-setup from start.
If nothing from the above solves it, it's an Hardware issue that needs to be attended by Nokia care technician... which may lead to a spares replacement.

Few questions about nokia lumia 720...

I recently bought a Nokia Lumia 720 and have a few questions I would like answering...
Why do we need to link our phone to a microsoft account? What if you dont want to link your email and your phone contacts? My phone is now full of useless numbers of people I havent spoken to\want to speak to.
Where do I report bugs that I find with the phone? I have found a few.
Why cant I sign into Skype without linking to a microsoft account too? [same issue as before]
It would also be good if we could assign custom ring tones... I thought this would have been a standard feature.

As I said, you can either set up a separate MS account just for the phone or you can filter you contacts under People > Settings > Filter contact lists so that you see only the ones you want to see. Linking to a cloud account is extremely useful for keeping a backup and for restoring the phone if you lose, change or simpley have to hard reset it. A friend lost his Lumia while travelling abroad, bought a new one on the spot, found a free wifi network and had all his contacts, messages and apps installed and running within half an hour.
I don't understand your last point - if you mean restart the phone when it is frozen for any reason, that can be done by holding both the Power and Volume Down button pressed for maybe 10-15 seconds until the phone vibrates and restarts. That is usually called a soft reset and you do not lose any settings or data except the date and time settings which you need to set again manually. Otherwise you can simply turn the phone Off and On by holding the Power button pressed.

My phone's camera is not working properly.
Sometime the camera closes automatically.
And some pink lines appear in the screen.
Sometime camera don't open when press the camera key or click camera app.(it just opens and closes)

Aside from the built-in camera, are you also experiencing the issue with the other lens apps? Also, please confirm. Did this issue arise after updating the device to Lumia Cyan?
If you have updated the system apps and the issue is still present, try resetting the camera settings of the device. Go to Settings > applications > photos+camera > reset camera.
If you have identified that the issue also happens with other lens apps, try pressing and holding both the volume down and the power keys for 10-15 seconds. The phone will vibrate. It will restart afterwards.

Suddenly Shut Down my mac book pro, late 2011

Hello guys, i need your help.
Last 2 weeks, suddenly my macbookpro shut down, and it makes me shock.
After a few second shut down, i try to turn it on.
it just make sound like turn on your mac and suddenly shut down again.
It shut down for 3 times and more.
When i plug in the charger, it turn on.
But after i unplug the charger it suddenly shut down again.
i try to shut down my mac properly, and when i turn on again it works.
My friends say that it could be my battery, i checked it, and my battery was normal.
And i search about this issue, some people say to reset SMC, i dont know if it would works or not.
Did reset SMC will makes you lose you data or something?
Now, i must plug the charger when i want to turn on my mac.
Did this a serious problem or not? i need you advice guys.

No data is lost due to resetting the SMC.
But after i unplug the charger it suddently shut down again

I purchased Nokia Lumia 720 for my daughter SHREYANKANA DEEPT on 24 may 2013 bearing IMEI no. *************** from Ranchi Jharkhand. SHREYANKANA is continuously complaining following: 1) in low battery condition phone gets hanged and doesn't on even after long charging. 2) phone has been repaired two times at Nokia center one at Surat next at dharamshala but the problem still persist.3) phone gets hanged up frequently. My daughter is fade up of this set and suffering a lot on issues of her study. The phone has been again given to Nokia care, one touch communications, west Patel Nagar, Delhi 8 with job sheet no. 112433527/131012/11. A telephonic complaint has also been made on 30303838 on 12.10.13 with complaint no. 1-14752735177. we request to replace the handset by another model of Nokia. My MacBook suddenly shut down after freezing up and I cannot get it to turn back on again. I tried the suggestions in the manual and none of them worked to turn it back on. Is there something I am not doing correctly? The little green light on the charger connector is green but not as bright as normal, it was charged by over 70% before it shut down, so I do not think it is a battery problem. Is there anything I can do to turn it back on? Thank you for any help given, I really appreciate it.

I am having a similar odd issue. First of all this summer i took my iphone 4 to apple because my screen had quit. I could hear calls and texts coming thru but screen was unresponsive. I was a month out of warranty so the nice fella at apple gave me a 30 day warranty, then replaced my handset with a refurb. Saturday night at dinner i was on my phine and it died. I plugged it in thinking nothing of it and went to bed. When i wooe up after the charger had been on all night all i had was the black screen with the battery (red) and lightning bolt, meaning it knew it plugged in but still did nothing. So off to apple i go. They said i was out of warranty and the problem (never said what problem) would cost 170 bucks to fix. So i went and upgraded to the iphone 5 ( figured if i'm spending that anyways may as well be on a new phone). When I got home i tinkered with the old one with all the online suggestions i could find. (Cleaning ports, hard reset, putting into recovery mode, and checking indicators for water damage which there was none). Still only saw the battery symbol. I left it alone figuring i can sell off cheap and someone else can repair. Last night for kicks i plugged it in again and it came to life! It is in recovery mode (needs to be hooked to itunes to regain functionality) but showed 100% battery charge. I went to show my bf and realized an issue. If its not plugged into the wall adaptor, it wont turn on. I figured then that if i can get it plugged in and pull it up on itunes maybe it would be fine. When plugged into the computer it wont hold enough power. It thrns on shows the apple for 30 seconds, shuts off. My ending conclusion on my own is that it needs a new battery in order to be revived. Anyone think this sounds like a reasonable conclusion? Or will i be wasting money? If i can get it restored to functional, cheaply i can give to my bf (his pos lg phone is almost toast) or sell it.
