Nokia Lumia 928 (with the Denim WP 8.1 update) compatible with PTT Plus?
Why does My Verizon say my Nokia Lumia 928 (with the Denim WP 8.1 update) is compatible with PTT Plus when it emails the link to download it it says it's for android??? Can someone clarify?

the phone is almost 3 years old they may not update it.. But then again there are suprise around every corner sometimes. People with the 830 are waiting for an update also. When the update came out the phone was about two years old. Now we expect GDR2. On the Microsoft update page there are seven AT&T Lumia phones. There would be eight but the 830 is no longer listed. Did AT&T have it removed ? Only three of these phones have the Denim update available, that is 37.5%. Is AT&T even trying, I don't think so. The same models of phones all over the world have been updated. Now WP10 is coming up. Microsoft says they will update WP10 directly, no carrier in the middle and they say it will be available to all phones and only phones running Lumia Denim, OS version 8.10.14219.341 or higher can be upgraded. So, the phone has to have at least Denim before you can update. Will Windows 10 update be available for my Lumia phone? We bought two 920's from AT&T in 2012. Wife is still using hers and I replaced mine with a 1520.3 last year. It has Qi wireless charging and 32GB memory, not the AT&T version. We no longer have a contract and never will, using 'bring your own phone'.The other 62.5% of the Lumia phone users with AT&T probably feel the same way.

Nokia Lumia 928 and the ##634# brings up the lifet...
I have a Nokia Lumia 928 and the ##634# brings up the lifetime counter and color variant page not a diagnostic tool for the light sensor.
Moderator's Note: Post was moved and amended the title. Those diagnostics have been removed from latest WP7.x updates and are not available on WP 8.x either.

When will the Nokia Lumia 928 have the 8.1/Cyan upgrades?
It's been 4 or 5 months since Nokia/Microsoft announced 8.1 with Cortana. Does anyone expect Verizon to actually have the 8.1/Cyan upgrades to the 928? Verizon, do you hear me now?
Verizon does not hear you now, and they haven't heard anyone who has been angrily complaining for the past few months.
At this point I certainly do not expect Verizon to release the 8.1 Cyan update nor the Denim update. Verizon has made it clear by their inaction that they are not going to support Windows Phone or their current customers who own Windows Phones.
To make matters worse, Verizon refuses to make any announcement whatsoever regarding the 8.1 update. They won't announce why it's delayed, what issues Verizon has with the 8.1 update, or even a possible target date. In essence, Verizon is behaving as though the update doesn't even exist, despite the fact that every other carrier has released it.
I have to assume that Verizon will behave similarly in the future as far as Windows Phone or any Microsoft product is concerned. If they are handling the Cyan update this poorly then they will certainly do the same thing with Denim, and of course Windows [Phone] 10.
My wife and I both have 928s and love them. We currently have the Developer Preview installed, which gives us 8.1 but not the firmware update - that has to come from Verizon for some mysterious reason. I have decided to move to AT&T after the first of next year if Verizon does not release the update by then; as I said, I do not expect them to. Unfortunately, my wife has her phone through work so she is stuck with Verizon, and she is furious about that fact. -
I teach at a community college and need to use ANGEL - so I need to know about compatibility so I can keep teaching [not really into switching to another browser]
Currently using a MAC using OS X 10.6.8WEll - Fire Fox 17 on a PC does not work - It is the same email load problem that I have seen mentioned related to an upgrade about a year ago. I have upgraded my PC at home - and now cannot teach in ANGEL from home unless I use IE -[not a favored choice]
I can not mess up on this computer so needing a definitive answer.
Here is the current notice the tech folks at my institution have Posted:
'''''Firefox users: The lastest version of Firefox no longer supports ANGEL on either a PC or Mac. Firefox versions 3.6 through 16 are still compatible. You can download version 16 from this website if you have already upgraded to version 17:''''' -
Nokia Lumia 928 apparently died after an attempted Windows 8.1 update. Replacement phone arrived the next day. How can I restore my contacts, photos, etc.? Backup assistant is no help and I don't know how to access the Cloud.
Did you have the phone set to backup things to the One Drive on Microsoft servers?

Nokia Lumia (928) Problem.
I've recently been having this problem with my Nokia Lumia 928, I was doing a reset (Factory Reset) on my phone when I've been on spinning gears for a few couples last night. Waited and nothing, so I looked around and tried find other solutions.
I did the soft reset/hard reset but all I've been getting is the low battery, I plug it into the charger for a good 30 minutes + But still won't turn on and still saying it is low battery. I tried doing the resets again but basically all I'm getting are the two, spinning gears and the low battery. Also, while it's charging it randomly go'es to the spinning gears.Dear Juan,
Try this... taken from another forum... it really works:
=============================================
After spending 8 hours trying to recover from spinning gears following a hard reset, of all the methods I tried, this is the one that worked:
-Phone was showing spinning gears
-Battery was low
-Took Sim card out
-I logged into find my phone and erased my phone using the on-line feature:https://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/my
-Let it sit for 1 hour then turned it off
-Press and hold the Volume down & Power buttons until the phone vibrates then release the power button but keep pressing the volume down key for approximately 10 seconds until you see a low battery on the screen.
-If you don’t get the low batt and you get the Nokia lego then press the following buttons in this order;
--Volume UP
--Volume DOWN
--POWER
--Volume DOWN.
-Your phone will now automatically reboot and try again till you get the low batt
-When the low batt shows up do nothing, it will turn off by itself
-Let sit for 1 hour and turn back on
-Press and hold the Volume down & Power buttons until the phone vibrates then release the power button but keep pressing the volume down key for approximately 10 seconds until you see a low battery on the screen.
-Plug your phone into the charger when you see the low batt
-If you don’t get the low batt and you get the Nokia lego and go back to the spinning gears of death then press the following buttons in this order;
--Volume UP
--Volume DOWN
--POWER
--Volume DOWN.
-Plug your phone into the charger when you see the low batt but not till you see it
-Now press the following buttons in this order;
--Volume UP
--Volume DOWN
--POWER
--Volume DOWN.
-Your phone will now automatically reboot it will show the spinning gears again but within 10 mins it will start up as a new device.

Nokia lumia 928 sms call back number
My wife and I both upgraded to the Nokia Lumia 928. since we have, our text messages to each other are followed by "call back at" and then it gives the phone number of the person calling. Called verizon tech support and they said that it is a feature that is sent from the "nokia" phone with your text message and that there is currently no way to dissable it from the sending "nokia" phone. Has anyone figured out how to get this to stop?
I concur with rayhipkiss. The only way I can call back the sender of a text message I've received is to tap on the name or number of the sender when viewing the text message. This is using an unbranded UK-CV Lumia 1020 and an operator branded Lumia 920.
I'd guess that that it is indeed something that your operator has added to their custom variant of the 928.
Do you see this "call back on" after messages sent to you by someone on other networks, and to they see it on messages that you send them?

My Macbook air charges fine with the Thunderbolt screen connection but only sometimes with the 45 W chargers. It seems to be the combination of the chargers and the computer. I was thinking whether the Thunderbolt screen has a larger power supply which easier activates the computer to actually receive the charge. It reminds me a bit of the Nokia Lumia 800 telephone, which when totally exhausted needs a strong charger to be activated again. I am as frustrated as most others. I have got two chargers, and both of them sometimes work, other times not. Sometimes, they start working after a while. Is Apple meanwhile coming up with a solution or advice how to handle such situation?
I just got my ATD and late 2011 MBP up and running. I've not tried running without the power adapter from the ATD plugged in, but I just tried and didn't have any problems with the display not waking. You may want to take your query to the ATD forum - https://discussions.apple.com/community/peripherals/thunderbolt_display - perhaps someone there has experienced a similar issue.
Good luck,

I installed a new printer and now Photoshop Elements tells me I can't print. The error message is "The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop Elements, or the saved printer is no longer available. You will need to check your printer settings before printing." I have uninstalled and re-installed Photoshop Elements, checked my printer settings and still I can't print a photo.
Hi ,
Please update to PSE 13.1

I was recording a song, finished it and everything went alright. Then I wanted to start with the recording of a new song. With the SAME plug-ins and settings as in the song before. I could record it all, but then, logic started crashing! Now, Logic crashes everytime I open up the new song as soon as I press play. But when I open up the older song, everything works just fine. I can press play without any problems, do things here and there... typical Logic stuff. So, it has to do with my new project! But why? I mean, I'm using everything the same way in both projects. Literally everything!
Now, here's one of my crash reports... please help. Please. Thanks in advance!

We have an SSIS package that runs on clustered MSSQL 2012 Enterprise Nodes that is failing. We use a job to executer the package.
Environmental information:
Product - Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise: Core-based Licensing (64-bit)
Operating System - Microsoft Windows NT 6.1 (7601)
Patform - NT x64
Version - MSSQL Version 11.0.3349.0
Package is set to 32 -bit. All permissions verified. Runs in lower environments, same MSSQL version. All environments are clustered. In the failing environment, all nodes are at the same service pack. I have not verified if all
nodes in the failing environment have SSIS installed. Data access is installed. We have other simpler packages that run in this environment, just not this one. Time to ask the community for help!
Error:

(Left out shop specific information. This is the first error in the errors returns by the job history for this package. )
Thanks in advance.Hi DeveloperMax,
According to your description, the error occurs when you execute the package with Agent job on clustered MSSQL 2012 Enterprise Nodes.
As per my understanding, I think this issue can be caused by you use SQL Server Agent to schedule a SQL Server Integration Services package in a 64-bit environment. And the SSIS package is referencing some 32-Bit DLL or 32-Bit drivers which are available
only in 32-bit versions, so the job failed.
To fix this issue, we should use the 32-bit version of the DTExec.exe utility to schedule the 64-bit SQL Server Agent to run a package. To run a package in 32-bit mode from a 64-bit version of SQL Server Agent, we can go to the Job Step dialog box, then
select “32 bit runtime” in the Advanced tab.
Besides, we should make sure that SQL Server Integration Services is installed on the failing environment.
If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.
Thanks,
Katherine Xiong

The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop
Hello,
I hope somebody can help us. I am a IT Technician in a school, we have approx 500 Windows 7 64bit machines with about 600/700 users - 200 machines have the CS5.5 Master Collection installed on them. We have an intermittent issue with printing from Photoshop (both the 32bit and 64bit versions). Our printers are mostly HP LaserJet printers (all modern), but we have an Epson B-510DN Inkjet and some Xerox copiers too. The drivers are all installed on a central print server running Server 2008 R2 and shared via Group Policy to client machines.
In rooms where Photoshop is installed, intermittently when a student goes to print we will recieve the following error:
The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop, or the saved printer is no longer available. You will need to check your printer settings before printing.
Photoshop will then grey out the 'Print' button and won't let the user print again. The odd thing is that we can still print from other software such as Microsoft Word or even non Microsoft software - even Illustrator will print. It just seems to be Photoshop thats has any issues.
This happens when printing to any printer on site, 90% of which are HP's. As a general rule we configure all of our HP printers with HP's PCL6 Universal Print Driver as it makes management of various printer models easy, and we haven't found it to limit us atall yet. We are aware the Adobe software is 'preferential' to Postscript drivers but our printers arn't, being HP's PCL is their native language. We have tried changing a printer to the Postscript UPD driver to test it but it made no improvement. We have also seen the issue quite indepth with our Epson B-510DN which is configured with Epson's latest model specific driver as our photography department use it. Since we are seeing it with different printers I don't believe the printer drivers are to blame - unless somebody want's to prove me wrong.
Like I say the problem is intermittent, and we are having trouble tracing it down to a user, computer or a software problem as it is so intermittent. Has anybody else seen this and managed to overcome it? Since it's only happening in Photoshop is it a bug that Adobe have recognosed and fixed in CS6? The only workaround we have found for it is to go into printers, chnage the defualt printer from one to another and back again - this seems to shut Photoshop up.
Thanks, Dave.Chris,
Apologies for my slow reply - we have been busy here the past few weeks.
We are using a standard Microsoft provided JPG image (Tulips.jpg) so we have ruled out it being an issue with the image; perhaps if we were using a PSD, maybe so.
We have now found out what the issue is, and what the workaround for this bug is. All of our printers across our site are named in a specific format, usually [Location name] [Room number] [Mono or Colour] resulting in printer names such as Photography A11 Colour, Art A2B Colour and Design Technology A14 Colour. All of these names contain numbers. We have tried reimaging machines, reinstalling Photoshop, upgrading to CS6, deleting and reconfiguring printers with the same name. Finally the only solution that worked was to take the numbers out of the name, either by renaming or deleting and reconfiguring the printers. The Photography printer is an Epson B-510DN using a model specific driver and the other two use the HP PCL6 UPD driver, so I don't believe the drivers are to blame and since renaming the printers work I don't believe it's a configuration issue either. Remember that these printers are shared from a print server and deployed via Group Policy (using the Print Management method).
I hope this provides you Chris, and others searching Google, a useful explanation of the problem and what the fix is. As much as Adobe won't admit it's a problem/bug, I and many others across the internet believe that it is and that it should be fixed in future versions of Photoshop.
Thanks, Dave. -
It does happen when I have multiple tabs open, but I generally have a LOT of tabs open so this is not new behavior from my browsing, Firefox is just not handling it anymore. All of this started with the 2nd-to-last Firefox update -- I refuse to do the new update because I'll lose an invaluable --to me-- add-on, ljlogin
Are you sure the multi-links icon on the bottom bar of your firefox window is enabled (ie not greyed out)?
