Nokia Lumina 630 ~ Navigation & Here Drive+ / Emai...

Hi
New to this and a bit of a newbi to Smartphones and Windows so hope someone can help this old Dinosaur! I had a Nokia N8 which had Ovi maps and navigation which was simple and easy to use. I really don't like the maps and Here Drive+ and wondered if I can put Ovi on my Lumina 630.
I also have a problem with my email account, which I hope you don't mind me posting this here too. My emails were coming through okay but now they don't and I really have no idea what to do. Thank you.

Quality of India map in Here Drive

Hi,
I just wanted to know the quality of the maps of Here Drive from users in India. I currently use a MapMyIndia device to navigate while driving. Are the Here Drive maps as detailed as the maps of MapMyIndia? In other words, once i buy the Nokia Lumia 820, will i be able to substitute my current navigation device with the Here Drive app of Nokia for regulat navigation.
More importantly, how often are the maps in Here Drive updaed? MapMyIndia updates it maps every 6 months.

Thank you for replying. Can you help me with answering the following additional questions:
1. Is there deep integration between Contact and Here Drive i.e. If i have the complete address of one of my business contacts in my phone book and i want to drive to that place, is there an option in the Contact card itself which does something to the efect of "Navigate to this address". In other words, if i have to drive to some contact's place, will i have to manually enter the destination or can it be picked up from the Contacts address details?
2. Is there deep integration between address mentioned in Calendar and Here Drive i.e.If i have the complete address of one of my business contacts in the body of an Calendar entry and i want to drive to that place, then can the address be picked up by Here Drive automatically.
3. If i use multiple applications simultaneously such as Navigation (Here Drive) and listening to music (Bluetooth connection - via the car's AUX system) and the phone rings, then do things work absolutely smooth and fine or are there problems of the phone hanging.

HERE drive+ Speed cameras

Hello,
I have a Nokia Lumia 620 with HERE Drive+ installed on it. It is a very good navigation app.
Too bad that speed cameras are not mentioned.
Does anybody know how it is possible that speed cameras are mentioned when driving?
I read in another topic that in Belgium speed cameras are included in the app, but I can't see them.

Nokia deliberatly removed the safety camera locations from all european maps after France and a few smaller countries made navigation devices with camera warnings illigal
With the old symbian handsets you can get these back easily enough by digging into the file system and repalcing the file
WP, your stuck and as suggested need to find another app in the store

Here Drive + Beta (Navigation region issue)

Hi all.
Well, long story short , i had a Lumia 800 until march and recently bought a Lumia 920, so i gave the 800 to my sister, till now all is good except for the shocking news i discovered yesterday when tried to navigate to a destination and here drive told me politely that navigation isn't available for my country, but on the 800 i used Nokia drive not once and this was a big + for me when i chose nokia over others.
Well i live in Moldova, the map provided by Navteq is awfull, it has only the national and international roads( and some POI's) and this is all, and by the way city names are often incorrect written, but it was a lot easier to navigate from one region to another without getting lost, so i don't know who at Nokia had that "genius" idea to remove Moldova from the list of allowed countries for navigation but it was a bad move, so please update the list and on another note update the map too .

Here Drive + Navigation Not available in Sri Lanka

im using my lumia 810 in Sri lanka , but with here Drive + i can see the Places and everyting as Previous but when i navigate it says " YOUR ROUT RUNS THROUGH A COUNTRY ORARIA WHERE NAVIGATIONISNT AVAILABLE YET"
how can i fix this isuue , i desperatly need navigation as i dont know the country

I am a Sri lanka and I was using Nokia 5800 ealier. It was supporting navigation in Maps. But Recently I baught Lumia 820 and Now it won't work.
I assume Sri Lanka is a small country and will ease Nokia to Map roads here very soon and give your customers the maximum benifits.

Here drive nokia 520 spain now upgrade

can anyone help. i have just been to spain, I tried to use my here drive app it was working perfectly. but it came up with "you must upgrade to country earia MCC=214". Now whenever i go into the program it comes up with the same. I dont want to upgrade. i have deleated the app off my phone and reinstalled it, but all i get now is i must upgrade. does any one know how i can get past this

On NL 520 the HERE Drive works only in the country where the first SIM was used... so if you are in a new country you will need to upgrade the License... but wait..the upcoming Nokia Cyan upgrade will provide the Global Navigation without any upgrade purchase as mentioned HERE.

Here drive for Nokia XL: only in one country???

Is there a way to drive into several countries with nokia XL?

As of now, it is not possible since the HereDrive app is not present for downloading in the Store. However, I suggest that you contribute your suggestions regarding this by going to your phone's settings > Feedback to Nokia. Hope this helps!

Here Drive (navigation) problem

I'm from Sri Lanka. and I'm using Lumia 925. With my all symbian phones(N8, X6), the drive app works perfectly with voice, but in Lumia its not. When I click drive it, it says Your route runs through a country where navigation is not support. I downloded Sri Lankan map and its up to date. So is it mean with Lumia we cannot use here drive ?

Lumia 1520 + here drive+ tooo hot - switch off

With the latest version of Here Drive, i can't use it as it get very hot around the camera, then, the phone switch off and the windows button pulse every 1 second... Once cooled down? The phone restart automatically
if i restart here drive, enter my destination and start the navigation, the phone switch off again about 1 to 2 min later and the same cycle happen again... Also, my battery drained very quickly (even if plug on the car charger via usb!)
it is quite annoying when the sat nav stop and you don't know where you are... Restarting while driving is quite dangerous as well...
if i don't use here drive, the phone behave as expected... I didn't had this issue with the previous version...
how can this be fixed... Otherwise here drive, an app which i love an make me choose Lumia, become useless...
please help

Presumably the warranty is still valid for your 1520, you may send it to a Nokia Care Centre to get it checked. Information on Nokia Care Points can be obtained by following through this link http://www.nokia.com/global/support/locations.

Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
That's odd. As mentioned above, Lumia 920 supports Here Drive Beta Plus has a global license which enables you to use the service in any supported navigable countries. The error message you posted is usually seen with Here Drive. The error message is seen if either the start or end point of your navigation is in a country where Nokia does not support turn-by-turn navigation.
Can you provide us a screenshot of your Here Drive app settings? Under the Here Drive Beta Plus app, tap on the icon at the bottom right portion of the screen. Scroll until you find Settings and then locate the Navigation license on the list.

HERE Drive Beta with Traffic updates Lumia 920

Why can't i use Traffic updates in the HERE Drive + Beta..?? How can see the traffic info while using the navigation on my Lumia 920..?? i had this with my Nokia N8...

I recently got the update to Here Drive+ Beta and now have Here Drive+ with My Commutes. I think the possiblities are fantastic with the My Commutes feature but so far in the Dallas, TX area whenever I start My Commutes is always says "Couldn't update traffic" I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application but it will not show me any traffic updates during my communte.
I recently discovered that if I put the app in 2d mode it will show me traffic updates but as soon as I start My Commutes the traffic information disappears.
Is anyone else experiencing this same issue?

It is written that because of international laws and sanctions here drive plus is not available for Iran if so why is Nokia ovi maps voice guided navigation on Nokia Symbian devices available for Iran by the way there is no limitations for the companies to offer free software.please reply and do something for your customers in Iran we pay the same as other people all over the world for your products. Most of the people tend to buy them for navigation apps.

Here Drive+ Beta & Here Maps do not activate on my...

Hi,
I have installed Here Drive + Beta and Here Maps on my Nokia 620, when I click on them to activate they just return to the app list. I have un-installed and re-installed several times over various days and it still does not load. Important to note, Here Transit and other navigation apps work but not Here Drive + Beta and Here Maps! It's very frustrating, can anyone suggest what's going on?

In the end I gave up and proceeded to do a hard re-set back to initial factory settings – low and behold it now works fine, although I haven’t fully tested it on the road.

HERE maps and HERE drive for Universal app

Hi All,
Is Here Launcher supported in Win RT apps?
Our requirement is to show the following in the map both in phone as well as in tablet
1. user's location on the map with lat/long
2. multiple locations on the map with (lat/long collection)
3. directions on the map with (source lat/long, dest lat/long)
4. live traffic updates
5. show different types of pushpins on the map with (lat/long collection)
Right now I'm launching HERE maps and drive in phone using uri scheme, but it is not supporting point no. 2 and 5.
In Phone, is there any other way to launch HERE maps/drive other than uri scheme?
I'm not able to find HERE drive in windows store, is it not available yet?
In Phone, is it possible to go the HERE maps directly without hitting HERE splash screen? I know we are launching another application so we dont have control over splash screen, but is there any way to accomplish this?

HERE Launchers API document, it looks like Here Launcher is not supported in Store app.

As far as I know, HERE Launchers API and Uri Schemes are the only way.

Yes, I can only see Here Maps in Windows Store now, so I think it is not available yet.

I don't find any explanations to talk about this in the above API documents, so I think it's not possible yet using official way.
