I downloaded offline maps for danmark and for austria but parts of the map are missing
(see attachment for DK, in the first picture you see the route from Aalborg to Hamburg (Germany)
there is a nice Highway but in the center parts of the map is missing so it routes me around it !!!!!!!
If you zoom for more details (picture 2) you see that a part is simple missing!!!
The same is for austria!!
I downloaded the maps several times, always with the same result...
somebody know whats going on?
Is Nokia dropping offline maps ?

@nobs
Presumably you have tried both using Maploader upon N9 and Nokia Suite? When new mapping was released 17/12/2012 just followed advice to update existing ones, although do remember it timing out and have to re-start downloading process several times.
As map folder structure upon N9 remains the same as Symbian it would be possible to manually install decompressed .zip for particular region if all else fails. Whilst not aware of any problems with latest 00.02.47.103 map data upon N9, be aware that this update has caused issues for Symbian devices by crippling "Offline" navigation.

  • Getting directly (1-click) to the offline Maps (No...

    Hi there!
I would like to use my OVI Maps offline ONLY
    My Nokia 5230 has
    - internet connection disabled from provider
    - OVI Maps Options "Connection" turned "Offline"
When I click OVI Maps, I must choose from 2 options:
1 - Use Ovi Maps online
    2 - Use Ovi Suite
I used to click choice 1, but get every time a "Connection Needed" warning before I can use the map offline. Is there a way to go directly to the offline-maps when I click Maps? It is so annoying!
    Thanks for your help!

  • Need help in modifying mapping parameters of out the box mapping

    Hi There,
I am a new bee to dac.
Need help in modifying mapping parameters of out the box mapping, which is invoked by DAC task.
We got a requirement to edit mapping parameter. When I go and see parameter under mappings tab in a mapping, I could not see any values in it.
But when I set any value, and validate it. It is successful.
Is it right way to do it?
What my concern is, When I initially go and see parameter values under maapings tab in a mapping, they are blank.
Where is it storing these values?
    Thanks,
    Rag

If you modify mapping then u have to create new task in dac and dac itself craete parameter file at run time. if you want to add more parameters then do it in dac system parameters tab.
    Thanks
    Jay.

  • Problem by transporting the message mapping from PI 7.0 to PI 7.1

    Hi Everyone,
by transporting the message mapping from PI 7.0 to PI 7.1 i have got the following problem.
    "Source code has syntax error:
    K:\usr\sap\E71\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\cluster\serve......

i have used a UDF in my message mapping.
This UDF calls for a method of a java class, which is imported as a .jar file with this message mapping.
this message mapping works very well on PI 7.0,
but doesn't work any more on PI 7.1 because of the problem described above.
anyone can help me out of this problem?
    thanks!

    hi,

did anybody noticed the difference of 5800xm between taking picture with the back cover and without the back cover?
i can only tell that, the picture taken with back cover is juz too **bleep**, while the picture taken without back cover is clear, vivid & nice...
before discovering this, i have heard of many people complaining about the picture quality of 5800xm. they were wandering whether the Carl Zeiss Optics on it is true or fake... and now, i know it's not the problem of the lens, but because of the back cover. it makes the LED flash to expanse to the bottom left corner of the camera, and thus making the picture with flash on looks like it's taken in the midst of the fog.
i hope Nokia would see this, and do something about it. at least design a better kind of back cover that can fix this problem for us to change. thxz...

what do u mean by "u tried and it worked"? was it mean that my experiment was true, and that the problem i mentioned happened to ur 5800xm as well?
it's ok if nokia didn't provide us the xenon flash on an Xpress Music series, Dual LED does take great image too. but at least design another good back cover for our beloved 5800xm. the Carl Zeiss Optics Lens is really good on it, and it takes good picture without the back cover...

You will have dpmapping.properties file which can tell you this. Again in dpcreate you need to have one more option "recreate" which can help re-creating the Deployment profile.
Change your dpcreate.bat adding the recreate option and try.

When I start an offline mix  and my phone is already connected via bluetooth, the mix does not start and back to the list.
to hear it via bluetooth, I have to start the mix with the BT disabled, then I can enable it.
    Feedback already sent.

    Hi, RamanaReddy.
How's your day? ;-) Are you still experiencing the mentioned issue with your Nokia XL? Does this happen with all your active calls or only with specific contact numbers? Did you happen to change any settings on your phone or install an app/game that possibly caused such behavior?
Have you tried restarting your phone? Remove the battery, put it back into the phone and then power it on to do that. By the way, where are you located?
We look forward to your reply & welcome to our community.

  • Nokia 6555 problem with calls - the other person d...

    Hey
If someone here knows something more about phones than i do, please help me with this. First time i received a call it worked, but only for about 2-3 minutes, after that the other person didn't hear me anymore, but i continued to hear her. The next call - same problem. But after that it didn't work at all, from the beginning they didn't hear me... I don't know, is it because of some settings i have to make or i should just go to a service to solve the problem?
    Thanks!

    Hello there trix25,
It sounds like you are making and/or receiving calls but the other party cannot year you at all. I would use the troubleshooting in this article to help that very issue, named:
If your voice is too faint or sounds unclear using iPhone, or iPod touch
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Lumia 920 Offline Maps

Could anybody confirm that Lumia 820 and 920 have real offline maps? Meaning that even if no SIM card is inserted in the phone or if I am out in the forest somewhere with no network coverage, or if roaming is turned of, that the maps really are functioning as they do in the Nokia C5-00.

    Hi, thanks for your replies
How could I see that the offline Maps are working in "real" offline mode in the specification?
The specification for the Nokia C5, which I currently use, says:
    Navigation features and services
    OVI Maps
    Positioning features
    GPS
    A-GPS
If I want to use the C5 in "real" offline mode and the roaming turned on, I have to disable the A-GPS function, which uses the network.
In the Lumia 920 I can't see that the feature GPS is available, it says only A-GPS.
Could it be that only the maps are working in offlinemode but that you still need a network for the positioning to work?
I purchased a Lumia 900 and returned it after discovering that it didn't have the GPS function, this time I want the be sure before purchasing a Lumia 920.

  • C7 map problem after update

I just updated my map on c7 with the latest map( enhanced drive navigation) and new icons were created but on clicking the map icon it tells me feature not supported. Can anyone offer me a solution

To everyone who had a problem after installing the optional "Maps update with Enhanced drive" of "Feature not supported" and Maps no longer working like I had on Simian Anna, this is what you need to do:
    1) A soft/hard reset, backup restore or even reinstalling current firmware will not work.
    2) Uninstall the following from Application Manager/Installed apps :
    a) Nokia Maps
    b) Nokia Maps ODML
    c) ODML Commons Repository
    d) Nokia Maps suite installer.
You may have all or just 1-2 of these, delete all which you have. You can leave optional like Check-in or Weather/places intact.
    3) Reboot your phone
    4) Download the 3.06 version of maps available through OVI store or the 3.08 version for Anna (ONLY the Anna version if ur running Anna, the Belle one will mess it up, so be careful) from Nokia Beta Labs (either is ok, I did 3.06 and THEN 3.08 beta)
    5) After installing, it will open up automatically
    6) your old maps should be intact (mine were), or do a fresh download
Tell me how it works guys, was really worried when my Maps got messed up and spent 3 hours doing all sorts of restore before figuring out how to do it..Now everything is OK!!

  • Offline maps for wp7

    Hi guys,
I got a Lumia 710 since about two weeks but somehow my offline maps don't really work. The maps application doesn't really load it, it rather looks like I can only view maps that are part of an old cach or something (only the spots that I recently viewed with a wlan connection work). Since I want to go onto a trip in one week when the maps application would come in quite handy I could use some help. Does anybody know something to fix it or is this a general bug of Nokia Maps for WP7?
Btw I use version 2.0.0.2148 of Nokia Navigation and version 1.3.10.230 for Nokia Maps which should be the current ones and yes the offline map is listed in my Nokia Navigation settings.

Thanks for these useful ideas Kosh.
I was really trying to get a handle on the allowance I should make for data on Nokia Maps when walking around a city. In other words, how many MB am I likely to need.My network gives guidelines on web pages and emails - but I have no idea about the data demands of Nokia Maps.
For example, would 25 - 30 MB per day be enough do you think?
    Thanks for your response.
PS. The e71 has European maps pre-loaded, and has the same favourites synchronised, but of course the display is not as good as the Lumia 800, and I would prefer to use the latter.
When visiting mainland Europe before I have made very free use of Nokia Maps on the E71 because pre-loading meant I did not have to worry about data. This time is different as there is no Nokia Maps cache on the Lumia

  • Problems with Swedish characters in maps on n95

I upgraded my n95 to the latest firmware, 12.0.0.013 and after that my swedish map shows garbled road and city names, i.e Korsnäsvägen is displayed ad Korsnäsvägen. It looks like an international character issue. I also lost my navigation subscription after the upgrade and cant find any info on how to get it back. I've reinstalled the latest Nokia maps app and redownloaded the swedish map several times without any improvement

Yes, I've reloaded the voice commands
    Hi tordolsson
    1. Start Maps application.
    2. Go to "Options > Extra services"
    3. Select "Add navigation > Accept > Purchase > Select the correct region" (I.e. the region you have earlier purchased the navigation to).
    4. You see a list of licenses with different lengths of time. You don't need to select the correct length, just go directly to "Options > Update".
    5. Allow connection to license server to check purchase & license options by selecting "Yes" and by selecting proper Internet access point (if asked).
    6. A note "xxx-day license activated" is shown where xxx is the amount of days left of your license.

  • In iOS6, the new map stop me to view maps in other countries

Previously, when iOS using Google Map, I can view other countries' maps using my iPhone. It is very useful if I plan to travel to other countries.
However, after I upgrade to iOS6, I found it is really a disaster. I am in China and if I want to search a location in US, I got nothing.
I really want to know if I need to travel to US, how can I use the Map? Does apple now thing the user of iPhone will stay in their own country and will not travel to other countries?

download the Ovi nokia suite and from there u can access the maps and then download the eygeptian map from africa section ... just download the ovi suite from nokia site:

  • URGENT: Image map problems

    Hi,
I created an image map last night for my online portfolio, and I have a phone interview for an important job I'd love to get tomorrow. The website is www.lukekelly.com.
The problem is that the image map is working in IE and Opera, but not in Firefox or Chrome. I've gone over the code with a fine tooth comb, and can't figure it out. Can you help?

  • How do I change the default map to one that works. Apple maps nearly killed me today in Leicester as it tried to take me down 2 pedestrian areas, 1 no entry and told me to do a u turn about 6 times at no u turn junctions.

Need to change default map on iphone. The default maps app is dangerous - it wanted to take me down pedestrian areas and through no entries whilst trying to navigate in Leicester. It needs to be removed from my phone as it is a hazard. I clicked on a link in an email and the maps app was opened and so I used it to navigate. Big mistake. This app is a serious hazard!

I don't really want to get into a long debate here, but just to put in some background info. I travel a lot in the uk and have done for many years. For the last couple of years I have used either Nav free or waze as sat nav maps on my iphone. Whilst there has been some errors, they have been useable - and of course you have to use your common sense whilst using them.
On this occasion someone emailed an address to me in Leicester. I wanted to drive from on point in Leicester to this address that has been emailed to me. I clicked on the address in the email and it defaulted to the apple maps and plotted a route. It was about 1 mile away and told me it would take about 8 mins.
This was the worse journey I have experienced with a 'sat nav' - it tried to take me through 2 pedestrian areas and 1 no entry in that short journey. Clearly I didn't go I. The pedestrian areas or turn into the one way. However, the apple. Aps persisted to try and make me take these route, and I. The process kept urging me to take a u turn where it was clearly sign posted that it was illegal to do so.
In the end, I pulled over and switched to Waze - it directed me straight to my destination without any errors.
The point is, I am not talking about a mistake in the middle of no where. This is a major city in the UK - and fairly central ie near the city centre.
Generally I love Apple products and don't knock them as a company.
The original question was genuine- can I change the default mapping app so that I don't end up using the apple maps app again. It was a disaster like nothing I have seen before.
I now know that the answer is no.
Apple clearly need to sort this out.
