Nokia Messaging causes N97 to reboot/switch off?

Hi Guys,
I've noticed there are some people who are running 12.0.24 firmware here who claim that their Nokia N97 'is working fine with no issues at all'.
My question to you is are any of you people who have no reboot/turning off problems running Nokia Messaging (latest version)? Why I ask is I am sure that it may have something to do with Nokia Messaging but I have to rule out what others are running.
Are you guys all using the built-in e mail client? I have switched across to that now, my reboots have not happened since but GOD the built-in client is an awful experience having been a long time user of Nokia Messaging, particularly that I now no longer can read HTML.

The Nokia Messaging is purely for email so if your not fussed with Email then no need to use it. Essentially your email looks identical to how it would look using a PC. So all HTML emails with pictures, fancy images, complex layout etc, comes out exactly on your phone as it would on a PC.
The built in client feels prehistoric actually compared to that but funny thing is Im nearly 24 hours now with no reboot since I removed the messaging client....

Nokia messaging password n97

i'm trying to get the Nokia- Messaging- Email- app working on my n97, but can't remember the password they ask on Email.nokia.com, if you have to sign in.
Is there a way to recover it? I've tried to make a new account, but my number is already in use. And that of course with my old profile.
They don't have a "i forgot my password" button as well...

Just out of interest, have you tried the password you use to log onto the forum ?

2011 macbook pro when started shows an error message and asks to be switched off and restarted again but when you do that it gives the same message. How do i fix this as its driving me mad.

I have tried to reninstall lion but to no avail and it wont let me reboot from a previous time whats happened to it and can i repair it please help

Reinstalling Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

N97 Nokia Messaging bug

I'm using Nokia Messaging on the N97. I've noticed a bug. When I choose the menu which lets you switch between different email accoutns, pressing the screen brings up the menu as you would expect, however pressing the screen again to select a particular email account does not work.
Instead I have to open the keyboard and use the D-pad instead.

I know it will be hard for you to reply but I would like to bring in your notice about Memory issue on N97. You mentioned in your post that by default it takes 2 KB for each message. When I install it on my N97 , I have 49 MB left. It was 51 before. After that It started snycronisation and memory was dropped to 41 MB after that.
My question if your statement is correct, it cannot ideally never eat so much memory. I am forced to use MFE for mail as i can limit the days to three and i think that stores the mails on Mass memory.
Now question is,
Would it be possible to use Nokia Messaging for us ?? Do you think wtih 10 MB used by Nokia Messaging on N97 is affordable while N97 is already a victim of Nokia negligence regarding hardware part.

Hi I can't update my apps when I try to update it asks for password when used it goes back to update. I think I'm not alone and have tried changing date switching off signing out and in and rebooting. Is there a solution or do I need to take it in?

I can't update my apps each time it asks for password when entered it goes straight back to update. I don't think I am alone in this. I have tried changing the date, rebooting, switching off and on signing out and nothing works. Does anyone know of a solution or will I have to take it to an apple shop. My misses has no trouble with her updates, they are both on iOS 6. Hope someone can help.

I would like to know about the latest version of Nokia Messaging V10.2 (26) on N97 (V 22). Is it storing messages on C - Drive like always or has been shifted to Mass memory ?

I do not know if you are really so ignorant. Nokia Messaging on N97 is using our beloved C-memory although one has set that messaging property to be on E. thats mean it eats very easily 10 Mb as now they are also sync back to 30 days mail.
I have no idea from where nokia gets his engineers. Really amazing foreseeability.

N97 Nokia Messaging - no GUI

I've just installed nokia messaging on my N97 and doesn't have this nice GUI. Instead of it I've got just plain old list of e-mails.
What's wrong?
I tried to uninstall and instal nokia messaging again but it didn't change anything.
What should I do to have this GUI?

Nokia N73me getting switched off

my nokia N73 me mobile is getting switched off by itself. It is often happening. i have done a hard reset as well. still the problem occurs. Has anyone come across with this problem ? what is the solution for this. This is the second mobile that i m using i have already replaced one mobile due to a software problem.

I also have a E6, Bought it in mid of June.
It has never restarted.
...try to reinstall the latest firmware by connecting by usb to Ovi suite. Restart manually the phone quietly and gently...check again if there is updates in Ovi after that, and by the update app in the phone.
I would do this first before searching for faulty installed apps...which could very well be a part of your problem.
We hope for the easiest way out here.

Nokia 6303 phone get switched off

i have problem that is the moblie set gets switched off suddenly and once u try to switch on it just shows NOKIA logo and again it will switch off ,but lights in keypad will b ON only.. and after if i try to connect with PC , it wont get connect.. pls can any one give me suggestion.. firm ware is 10.12..after this i am facing this problem

Remove the sim card and memery card and try restarting. If that doesn't work, try removing the battery and leavinv it out for at least 5 minutes before replacing. If that doesn't help either then you need to have it checked out at your local Nokia Care point.

Computer switches off while uploading

I have been making some changes to

When I went to upload the pages 3 minutes in, the computer
made a humming
noise for a moment and then switched off (WinXP Prof, DW8 no
updates).
I restarted, tried again, same thing. Restarted, left the
computer running,
ran virus checker (AntiVir) with no adverse results and
uploaded images 3 at
at time (ftp via DW). PVII IGM btw. No problem at all. Tried
uploading
thumbnails folder, computer switched off.
I uploaded the whole of the site a bit at a time with no
errors or problems
this way.
Nothing else seems to be causing the PC to switch off in this
way. Does
anybody have the remotest idea what might be causing this?
[Two things: the PC does seem to have been running somewhat
slowly over the
last couple of days but obviously may have no bearing on the
issue.
Secondly, there was a power cut which trashed my usb drivers
yesterday
including hub (no mouse/keyboard, had to use adapter). I
uninstalled and
reinstalled them and all seemed fine ]

Phone switched off

sometime when people try to call me they get message that my phone is switched off. Though it is on with good network coverage. But when i reboot my phone it becomes ok. But again it happens next day. This is now happening very frequently

First, let it cool completely down. Then, reset it:
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.

Nokia messaging running in background even when tu...

So, Nokia messaging runs in backgorund even when turned off.
I noticed that the phone (E63) searches wlan with no reason and connectes with known ones, untillI discovered that default acces point in Nokia messaging was WLAN. When I changed the APN to other, the phone stops searching for wlan. The logical conclusion is that Nokia messaging can never be trully turned off, at least on my phone.
Why is this happening? The only way to shut up the application is uninstalling.

Still, I must say that it's kind of sick issue. What is the benifit of sync when the application does'n run?
If I exit the application I really mean that I don't want to use it, otherwise I choose "hide".

6280 switching off radio problem

Hi all.
When using radio on my 6280 I disconnect hands-free (from the sales package) and receive message "Connect an enhancement". It’s ok.
But I receive the same message when I try to switch off the radio! So to switch it off I should connect hands-free and only then I will have possibility to switch the radio off. Looks like a bug.

Imagine the situation when you are walking through the street, have the phone in a pocket and want to quickly turn off the radio for a minute or two. Sometimes I'm using this to answer phone without HF (ie. in a bus, where people look at me like they saw an alien when talking to myself (HF) ).
I just disconnect HF from phone. Then I reconnect it and radio works again.
If you left radio on and HF disconnected the radio will turn off automaticaly after 4-5 minutes. You can see a message "Radio off" or simillar.
