Nokia Messaging keeps marking the whole Gmail fold...

Every time a new message is received in my Gmail folder on E55 (v. 022.009.C00.01), all old messages are marked as UNREAD, although they have already been READ. This is very annoying and seems I have no way to solve it by myself (I've already deleted the account, reinstalled, changed parameters, and so on).

Any support by Nokia? I'm a bit concerned about their lack of responsiveness... Moreover, despite stickers on phone box, Nokia Messaging seems to be very far from being stable.

You’ve hidden your Presets section, that’s all. Right-click on one of the other section titles and put a checkmark next to Presets.

Nokia Messaging not deleting emails from Gmail ser...

When I access my gmail account via Nokia Messaging on my E72, any emails that I delete using my nokia are not deleted from my gmail account - instead they are being transferred to my All Mail folder, which is where I keep email that I have ARCHIVED, not email that I have deleted, so it's messed up my archived mail and also means that when I access my gmail via POP in Outlook, items that I have previously 'deleted' on my mobile have to be downloaded and sorted through again. Is there a way to change this behaviour? At the moment the gmail app is a better option.

Unfortunately this didn't work for me (E75). I created an extra label. I also subscribed in imap to this folder. When I want to delete a message, I move it to this folder / label. Every now and then I delete all these mails from gmail on my PC.

Check if following settings are in order in Gmail - settings - forwarding and POP/IMAP in web browser.
Status: IMAP is enabled

Now head over to email.nokia.com and login with your username/pwd

Click Save changes and log out.
Now in your Nokia Phone, Open Nokia Messaging and Sync again.
Go to Gmail and these new labels should appear there.
If you want to delete a message from all folders, move it to the [Gmail]/Trash folder.
If you delete a message from [Gmail]/Spam or [Gmail]/Trash, it will be deleted permanently.

Why do email messages keep reappearing in my junk folder?

These messages all have the same date: Nov. 26, 2011. Only one will appear in any given instance and it's usually not the same one twice. I have my junk filter set to catch anything that is not from someone in my address book.

Is your email settings set to keep messages on the server? I have a gmail account and it does that to mine. Gmail is very glitchy with the Mail app

How can I delete one message instead of the whole conversation

I would like to know a way to delete a single msg instead of the whole coversation, as my phone is pretty empty, space wise but few months down the line if my msgs are full i.e. 7500 and i want to keep some messages from the same conversation and delete few from them. Is it achievable and if not then is Apple introducing any updates that will fix this flaw as there are few applications out there which can solve this problem, but i am worried if it is going to void my warranty.

This is not supported at the present time. I don't believe Apple has announced this will be included with a future update, but certainly possible this option is in the works.

Is it possible to play the whole playlist-folder?

In iTunes I subdivide larger playlists in multiple smaller ones, by putting them in one folder. I can then play either only the single sub-playlist or the whole folder with every playlist included.
The same worked wonderfully with my iPod Classic.
But on the iPhone, I've got the same folder structure, but as it seems, i can play only single playlists. Which makes the whole tree-meta-structure kind of obsolete... Is it just me, being to stupid to find the right button? Or to want this feature at all?
I don't see why it works in iTunes AND on the iPod Classic, but not on iOS5. Couldn't there be the same "Shuffle"-entry above all playlists in a folder as there is above all entries in a playlist??

Yes, I do this all the time.
You need a USB power adapter that connects an AC outlet to your USB cable and then to your iPod.

Why does my Mac keep getting the bouncing file folder when I plug in in the UK? It's costing £100 each time to fix it.

I can plug my Mac in to the wall at home and certain surge protectors, but for some reason and it's a costly thing to discover, but some surge protectors kill my Mac. I get the floating file folder with question mark and have to get the power strip inside replaced.

I suggest that you get in touch with knowledgeable repair facility technicians and get their advice regarding a proper surge protector or a regulated power supply. Any electrical device that is subjected to extreme voltage spikes can be damaged.

Can I encrypt my individual folders instead of the whole home folder?

I want to encrypt one specific folder only and not the whole folder especially since we don't really have (and use) multiple user accounts. How can I do that?

Use Disk Utility to create an encrypted disk image of that folder. Then delete all the files in the original folder. Next, option-drag all the files form the encrypted disk image into the original folder. Store the encrypted disk images somewhere where it won't get deleted and will get backed up. Now, any time you double-click one of those aliases, it will automatically ask you for your password, mount your disk image, and open your encrypted file.

Lightroom just created a new 2014 folder to receive images from 2014, but I already have a 2014 folder which has received all my previous images. How do I get the system to keep using the original 2014 folder?

Well, something is not making sense here, and I might have to spend some time thinking about it, or hopefully someone else will know exactly what the issue is.
The first screen capture you provided shows the Lightroom Folder Panel, with folders on the C: drive named 2012, 2013 and 2014 and then the problem second 2014 folder, followed by many folders whose name begins with "My Canon".
The most recent screen capture you provided shows the C: drive problem 2014 folder, but none of those other folders!
Can you show us a screen capture of your Windows Explorer C: drive folders? Particularly, can you expand the folder structure so that it shows where the 2012 and 2013 and original 2014 folders and the problem 2014 folder are located? If that takes 2 or more screen captures, that's fine. ALso, if you can show the "My Canon" folders, please do.

Mail freezes upon launching, I have deleted the whole container folder, restarted and still have the problem, below is the error message

Nokia Messaging 1.1: Intellisync and GMail

I use my Nokia E71 at work as an Intellisync client and I have my personal GMail account. I set up Intellisync at Nokia Email client, I cannot set up GMail in automatic mode (only I am able to setup in the regular Messaging with automatic retrieval but not push)
If I set up GMail first, everything works fine, but when I want to set up an additional mailbox, Intellisync does not appears as an option in Corporate email...
I do not know if it is intented or bug, but I would like to know to not insist trying and trying on my device

This is starting to get to the extent of being annoying.
I have somehow narrowed it down.
It only happens when the application starts to sync at the time specified under "When to sync".
Sync can sometimes be stopped by choosing cancel sync but not always.
The only reliable way is to go into online account and delete and add accounts again.
It might be due to changes being done to email account on pc while sync is ongoing. Such as deleting emails on pc while sync starts.

2 messages keep appearing in my Drafts folder

Over the past few weeks, Mail keeps adding 2 draft messages to my Drafts folder. They are both messages that I had one time saved as drafts but have long since finished and sent. If I delete them, they come back within a day. If I rebuild the mailbox, it makes no difference.
Any ideas?

While you are composing a messages Mail saves a version of the message in Drafts. It's supposed to remove from Drafts after sending but often it does not. You can set Drafts to be stored in the "On My Mac" Drafts folder to get rid of the problem, but you loose the ability to store the message in Drafts for access on another computer.
You might want to consider running the combo updater over your install to refresh your files. This can often fix odd issues like this.

The wife's emac keeps saying the Start Up Folder is nearly full. Huh?

I did a search for Start Up folder on her computer and nothing. Might this be related to the HD being nearly full? If so, is there software out there which can quickly show me what is taking up so much space on her computer? It's on OS 10.4.11.

Yes, itcan be that the startup drive is too full, you mughr need to delete a few GBs of files & empty the trash before you get any Software tp tell you.

N97 / Gmail / Nokia Messaging - temporary solution

Hi, Was having the same problems as a lot of people with Nokia messaging only occasionally syncing with gmail or simply not syncing at all.
I've found a temporary solution which is working great.
I've set up an email account with my ISP (hopefully you have a spare to use ro can maybe try a different free server) [email protected] and set gmail to forward all incoming email to this new address while keeping email in the gmail inbox.
I've now set nokia messaging to use my new email address - I now have emails arriving constantly.
Not a fix just a workaround I know.
My gut feeling is there is some intrinsic problem between Nokia and Gmail that is affecting some accounts that needs to be fixed. I hope it happens. I'd love to be able to simply connect to my gmail account and have it working.

After installing Flash player I still get the message "this website wants to run the following add in: Adobe Flash Player from Adobe Systems Inc". I click allow but the message keeps coming back and I can´t get rid off it. What to do?

Alright guy's It always happens. Over 90% of the time it's just a matter of time before i fix my own problems. I solved my problem and now it works perfectly fine.
I'm gonna say how i fixed it so who ever finds this page on google can see how i did it. I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player using the uninstaller from adobe http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe after i did that i went to my system32 folder and delete my adobe folder which still had files left over in it (Deleted the whole macromed folder) C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash
Note, You need to exit any browser you have up (IE,Firefox,ect) or else you will not be able to delete it and it'll say access denied. After deleting that i installed Adobe Flash Player with a .exe i downloaded from Adobe and it worked perfect! No more annoying message
Side note, I'm use XP so the marcomed folder might possible be somewhere else if you are useing Vista or Windows 7.
