Nokia messaging stopped running

Have a 5800, been working great since November. The nokia messaging client will no longer launch. Both the shortcut and the Email Icon just blink when you press them. Re-installed the the latest version still nothing. Also re-seated the memory card, no help.
Any thoughts?

I have the same problem with the nokia messaging. It was working fine but suddenly can't open mail. It still bleeps and the unread message number goes up but I can't open the email from home or the menu or go into email settings.
Any one figure this one out yet?

Nokia Messaging Stopped working

Last week Hotmail stopped syncing. I recovered this by manually checking all passwords etc, all were correct but it seemed to force the correction anyway. Today, both gmail and hotmail have stopped working. Have checked all settings and reinstalled NM yet still no sync!?
Any ideas!?

This is simply unbelieveable. I have no words left to describe my utmost disgust with Nokia E-mail, Nokia E71 and all things Nokia.
Since we all agree the built-in Nokia e-mail application is a piece of **bleep**, I started using Nokia E-mail (Messaging). Two days ago I stopped receiving e-mails (again!!!), and spent countless hours trying to fix it (the "countless hours" include a complete waste of time in contacting Nokia Canada in search for help - like the rest of Nokia, including Nokia web site, they are useless). I NEED MY E-MAIL, I'm willing to pay for it if I can't have it for free, I just need a reliable and fast e-mail to connect me with my business while I'm on the road (which I am 90% of my time).
I removed Messaging from my phone, and now I'm unable to reinstall. When prompted for password, I entered my e-mail server password, and got rejected. I tried Nokia E-mail password, rejected. Tried my webmail password, nothing. I either get "server not found. please check the name of server and try again" or "password cannot be verified", or "log in failed. please try again later". "Frustrating" doesn't even start to describe it... Now I can't even get Messaging back on my phone. As I write this, the phone is verifying my password for the last 20 minutes!!
In closing, I want to say that I pity everyone who choses Nokia, as this company has shown to me the total lack of professionalism, customer orientation and, I'm affraid, basic technical knowledge. Copying USA cell phone technology was easy, making their own is somewhat more difficult, and for the poor Finns - impossible. I'm stuck with this piece of s**t Nokia E71 for the next 2 years, but my revenge will be in spreading the word around that buying Nokia is the worst thing one can do. There are much better and more reliable phones in One-Dollar-Stores around North America.

Geting sms config for Nokia Messaging

My Nokia messaging stopped receiving my mails so I uninstalled it and reinstalled the latest version
How do I get the sms config ?, when I log into the web site using my login I can see my accounds but there is no where to re send the sms and without the sms config I cannot setup the programon my N97

Nokia messaging running in background even when tu...

So, Nokia messaging runs in backgorund even when turned off.
I noticed that the phone (E63) searches wlan with no reason and connectes with known ones, untillI discovered that default acces point in Nokia messaging was WLAN. When I changed the APN to other, the phone stops searching for wlan. The logical conclusion is that Nokia messaging can never be trully turned off, at least on my phone.
Why is this happening? The only way to shut up the application is uninstalling.

Still, I must say that it's kind of sick issue. What is the benifit of sync when the application does'n run?
If I exit the application I really mean that I don't want to use it, otherwise I choose "hide".

I have the lastest (10.7) I tunes software running on a 64 bit windows 7 system. Today it stopped running all of the tv shows I have downloaded. The error message says that a "problem has stopped i tunes from working and windows is shutting it down" ?

i have the latest (10.7) itunes installed on a 64 bit Windows 7 based system. Up unitil today I had NO problem running the TV shows that I have downloaded from I Tunes.
Today it stopped running all videos. It loads the information in the top box about length & name. An error message pops saying "an error has caused I tunes to stop working". "Windows will check for a solution and notify if therer is a solution."
Music plays fine so i know that something works on itunes.
Any ideas?

after all the stuff I updated you about, I tried one last time to install....still didn't work...so once again I wiped my system of everything itunes and apple related
well today I was trying to watch a video that required me to get the quicktime plug in, and it too me to a page that was a quicktime install + itunes 7.blah blah blah instead of the other way around
well, don't ask me why, but low and behold
IT WORKS!!!!

The file is too large to download via 3G. There is a 20MB limit with 3G. The purpose of having 3G is that you have internet access everywhere and do not need to be near a WiFi hotspot or network.
Not every single thing that you do every single minute of the day on the iPad involves downloading files larger than 20MB. You can surf the internet all day long sitting out in a park somewhere with 3G - but not with a WiFi only iPad - unless you use a hotspot with it.
Try turning off your firewall and anti virus software while you try to download the iOS update.

Setup Stops Running Message When Installing CS3

I get "Setup Stops Running Message" after Disk 1 completes and asks for Disk 2 when I try to install CS3 Master Collection. This is new Dell Vostro 270s PC with Windows 7 Professional that replaces a HP running Windows 7 Home Edition. CS3 ran OK on the HP. Suggestions?

Why /var/adm/messages stop wrritten while syslogd is running

/var/adm/messages stop written recently. we are running solaris2.6. I noticed this happened after newsyslog rotated the messages file. In newsyslog, there is a line at end: kill -HUP `cat /etc/syslog.pid`. And syslogd is running. When I use logger to test, the test message was written to /var/adm/messages.
Can anyone give me a clue for this? Any help will be appreciated!

CS6 package has stopped running - Error Message 1

I'm in a School. We have the CS6 Suite and it has been perfect but on one Windows 7 Pro 64 bit client it's stopped running. It comes up with Error Message 1 telling to uninstall and reinstall it. However, trying to Uninstall fails. Trying to reinstall using the installer fails as well.
I'm wondering if my only option is to format the disk and reimage?

Was that a typo and you meant NOT all documents?
Windows isn't quite as easy to diagnose crashes as Mac becuase it doen't providet he same crash reports, so we pretty much have to play Twenty Questions...
Let's start with some basic troubleshooting. Presuming this is isolated to just some files, start with this: Remove minor corruption by exporting
If that doesn't work, can you export half of the doc at a time?
Create a new user account onthe machine and log in using that. Are you able to export the document to PDF without a crash?

Nokia messaging has stopped to sync (N97)

Last week my gmail inbox in the phone went empty. I have realized that my 97 is not syncing any more. I have tried to re-install the software (nokia messaging) but without results. Can anyone help...please....? I don't want to contact Nokia because they will only ask me to do a hard reset and I am sick of doing that.

E71 messaging stops with same message - any ideas?...

I have several hotmail accounts running and stop after approx 7 days with the message below. I have deleted and reassigned works temporarily but problem re occurs. Any ideas how to rectify permanently. No settings have changed.

i use nokia mesaging for multiple different domains. the most common issues is not with my own domainS, rather the yahoo ones.
my guess is that there is something on the hotmail side that with the nokia messaging "pinging" your emial to look for new messages, that it is bounceing it back.
this could be due to the fact that you have more then 1-2 accounts on the hotmail service that the nokia messaging is pinging so it could be pinging the next account before the hotmail server is done closing your previous account.
that being typed....try to only set up 1-2 accunts with hotmail and add a couple others in there that are of other domains and see if you have the same issues.
then report back and let me know and ill try to help you if it doesnt fix it.
if it does fix it, then there will not be much you can do with so many hotmail accounts. :/ unfortunately. but find out if that is the issue first.

N97 nokia messaging problem

hey all relatively new poster here needing some help from the experieneces these pages offer.
ive tried contacting nokia about this but every time i fill the contact us form in my username isnt reconized so i cant send anything to them.......very frustrating indeed.
i for some reason cannot recieve or send emails anymore with my nokia messaging app. it suddenly stopped working on the 7th of july and since then nothing works.
ive had countless problems with this device that ive managed to fix myself every time except this so im hoping someon else can fill the gaps in for me this time.
my device should be fully up to date in every way so i dont have anything i can install.

Think you may find it is a memory issue, the phone has very little free memory on C and applications like messaging and mail for exchange will not run successfully on them, suggest you uninstall and use standard email client !

the N80 is not listed.
I've managed to set up an account from the phone and it briefly worked but it was set up with POP3 instead of IMAP and the server names aren't the ones currently given out by Telia. When I changed to IMAP from the web interface, the service stopped functioning altogether.
Is this a problem with the N80 phone, or are there limitations to the number of e-mails one can have on the server in order for it to work? I've only got 2200 e-mails in my inbox at the moment, and the built in client of the N80 - while very bad in many respects - could still connect successfully when I had 12000 e-mails in my inbox. The same goes for the commercial S60 e-mail client ProfiMail from Lonely Cat Games.
I've thought about getting an N900, but if this is the way Nokia Messaging "works", then I guess I should change my mind?

The program installs background service which does the communication. It is not visible, but still it is up there running. As for the incoming - I used the early beta, but generally, Nokia messaging uses Push, so that the server would force connection. So, the advantage of Nokia Messaging is that the server would sync to multiple accounts and just then connect to your device in order to deliver new mails. Actually, the Messaging application is mainly aimed at heavy business customers. If you have one mailbox which you occasionally check, then the build-in client is just that good.
