Nokia Music sign in not there on Windows 8.1

Where is the sign in for Nokia Music for Windows 8.1 app? I paid for the service but am only getting standard definition music

To log in to you account in the Nokia Music for Windows, access the Charm on the right hand side of the screen and go to Settings > Sign in.

hae you checked via Nokia Suite on your PC if there are any firmware updates available for your handset? if there are any, please update to the latest version offered. failing that, can try re-installing the current firmware thru Nokia Suite.
might also pay to check the memory card via a memory card reader, to see if it is working fine or not.

Downloading and installing iTunes will not fix this problem. If the other troubleshooting steps do not work, go to the Control Panel and uninstall iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Services, Quicktime and any other Apple program that might be present. I purchased a song via the Nokia Music app and I have noticed that even after restarting my phone the song does not show up in either the Nokia Music or music + videos app for me to play it. If i attempt to purchase the song again, i get a message stating that I have already previously downloaded the song. This is a frustrating first time experience. I would either like to know how to get the song to appear so that I can play it or find out how to get my money back.

Encountered the same problem with my 920 so it would appear Nokia have yet to rectify.
Poor effort to release half-a@@ed products, seems to be the way things are done nowadays.
Will keep using itunes but hardly an endorsement for Nokia that I still need to use my iphone to get music.

Nokia Music v2.0 not working on Lumia 710

Hi, i just downloaded the Nokia Music for my Lumia 710, but everytime when it launches, it shows "Can't Launch Nokia Music" because my phone software is too old. However, the zune said i have the latest update as per today. How to fix it? Thanks, and sorry if this have been discussed before.

Main problem is, few people know, at least claims to know more than others, I am using Nokia Music on my Unlocked Lumia 800 for almost 2 months, So, It's already available in India.

"Now Playing" tab during music sometimes is not there

This might be a 3.0 update bug so that's why I can ask it here.
Can anybody else confirm this happens to them while playing music? You know the "Now Playing" tab on the top right? Sometimes when navigating the iPod, it isn't there when it should be.
When I go from the Now Playing screen (with album art) back to Artists, the tab is sometimes not there.
Just wanna make sure.

I would not suggest starting anew AppleID as you will have problems with previous purchases.

Authorize your computer for your old AppleID then File > Devices, select your device then Transfer purchases.
I highly suggest you sort out the issue with your old AppleID and continue to use that. Remove your personal info from the new AppleID and don't use it.

Nokia e65, USB device not recognized using windows...

Hello,
When I am trying to connect e65 to pc I always get "USB device not recognized". I tried to reinstall nokia pc suite, after that I've restarted phone and PC but it doesn't help. I tried to install older nokia pc suite versions and it doesn't help too. I'am using CA-53 cable.
P.S. I tried to reinstall only Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver but nothing happened..
Maybe someone has a solution for this?

Is it only as Windows USB mass storage device that it is not recognised by PC or same issue if connected in PC Suite mode with PCSuite/Ovi Suite installed?

Nokia Ovi suite STILL not working with Windows 7/U...

I have been waiting paitiently for around 7 months now to get a working version of Ovi Suite to use to sync my Nokia C7.
Right now its only version 3.1.1.78 I think. I started at 2.9.X
Ovi suite still thinks my phone is not in Ovi Suite mode. This happens only with Windows 7 laptop. Atleast now I think I can sync stuff using blue tooth. Probably Nokia expects me to copy over small video clips also with Blue tooth!!!
When are you planning to fix? Please dont tell me to use Nokia PC cleaner - I just did that. 3 times in a row. Tried on 3 different Windows 7 laptops also.

Hi Piv1978,
Try the following workaround.
Manual sync
Open Nokia Ovi Suite--> Sync--> Sync option--> Uncheck the sync automatically everytime you connect the device.
Then Sync--> Sync now--> Contact, Calendar& tasks, Messages or Notes one by one individually.
Re-pair the "pst" and the "ost" Outlook files as in the following location.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\SCANPST.EXE
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\SCANOST.EXE
Right click the above mentioned exe file and 'Run' it.
NOTE
It's adviced to take a back- up of the user's Outlook folders to avoid any loss of information.
Check with Microsoft support pages for more information.

Nokia Lumia 1020 - did not come with Windows 8 and app is not available on phone

I was told to install Windows Phone Developer Registration Tool, but I get a Setup Blocked message - This product can only be installed on Windows 8 or later 64-bit Machine...the notebook that I am trying to install it on is Windows 8, etc.
I want to load Windows 8 on my phone so I can get Cortana.

To verify, you're only having this issue with the recorded videos using the Nokia Camera app, is that correct? Since the reset did not work, might as well try using the Nokia Software Recovery Tool: http://www.microsoft.com/en-ie/mobile/support/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA142987 for us to further isolate this issue. By the way, when's the last time you've updated your phone?

Nokia Music does not recognize my 6233, but PC Sui...

I using my 6233 for a long time now.
When I connect my phone to my Windows XP USB in Standard mode, it will be recognized fine by the PC Suite and I can access all functions from that software.
When I connect the phone as a storage device it is recognized by Windows and a drive letter is assigned.
That's all fine so far.
Since I've updated to the most recent PC Suite, there is a new 'Nokia Music' item.
I clicked on it to organize my playlists on the phone and it installed a new software.
This new Nokia Music Software does not recognize my phone at all.
I tried all possible connection methods, but there is never a phone shown in Nokia Music.
As there are no problems in the PC Suite or with a connection as a diskdrive, I have no idea how to manage playlists on the phone.
With the old Music Manager integrated in the PC Suite I never had such problems.
Any ideas ??

I also have exactly the same problem with the new Nokia music and my 6233, the old software was pretty bad but at least it worked.

Windows 7, nokia music problem

Hi everyone,
i have used "nokia music" before, but since i installed Windows 7 in my laptop, i havent been able to make the program to recognize my phone. i have already tried to update driver, but it says i have the latest driver available. Still when i open nokia music and i select the phone icon on the left, the only thing i can see is the watermark with the usb cablethat asks me to connect a device......

Windows 7 is not yet officially supported by Nokia Music, so if it has worked it is more by good luck than judgement.
PC Suite has recently become 7-compatible, so I expect other Nokia apps will follow suit, but remember that the OS is still very new - once a new WIndows is launched, all companies that produce software need to catch up.

Nokia Music crash immediately after start-up

Recent attempt to open Nokia Music, the new application which combines Nokia Music Store and music player function much like Apple version of iTune software, has failed with a Windows error message popped up informing that the application will be closed and contact Microsoft for the problem. Upon clicking sending error report, the application will cease operation.
Several attempts to re-open the application resulted in the same situation. Recently, I have tried to use the application by not responding to the popped up message, hiding it beneath the taskbar and continue using Nokia Music application. Surprisingly, there is no problem accessing my library, Music Store, play music and update the meta data of my music collection.
What could have caused Windows to forcibly end the application while previous usage has not prompted any errors and ignoring the error message as I did, does not affect the functionality of the application?

I contacted Nokia Netherlands because I've experienced the Nokia
Music software crashes to, they emailed me a solution to this problem,
this is what the Mustafa from Nokia wrote to me:
Dear RWSS,
Thanks for contacting Nokia Care.
Remove Nokia music from your PC first, and go to the down listed path
and remove everything in the Nokia folder, this could be a hidden location.
C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Local Settings\Application Data\Nokia
Check if your system has the minimum system requirements
You need Internet Explorer 6 or 7, Internet Explorer 8 is not supported by
Nokia Music Store. If you have installed Internet Explorer 8 you'll have to
downgrade to Internet Explorer 6 or 7.
You also need Windows Media Player 11 because Nokia Music uses
components of Windows Media Player 11. You also need .NET framework
3.0, if you're computer is up to date you'll have .NET Framework 3.5,
remove it and replace it with version 3.0.
If automatic update is on in Windows you'll get the same problems again
and you should turn automatic update off.
If you need more information, don't hesitate to contact us again.

My advice is to wait till they support Internet explorer 8 and .NET framework 3.5, don't uninstall them, don't leave your computer open to security risks, this is why Micro$oft brings updates out.
Nokia should support these because .NET framework 3.5 and IE8 are much safer then previous versions.
