Nokia music store booo! its sucks like itunes!

Question

I been using the n95 8gb for sometime now and girl i love it.
I notice something today i can finely got on to the uk store via wlan
and i downloaded 2 albums, works well but what i didn\'t like was I can
only play the tracks on the n95 8gb? I also have a few other Nokia
phones laying around i tried to blue tooth a track to my others phones and
it gives me a message file is corrupted after i tries to play
it.itunes comes to mine that sucks.
In the end nokia will call the world

Note that it is the music publishers/labels that decide what formats the music they control can be sold in, and in which countries and at what prices (or at least what share they must get).
It is also made even more complex by local labels that are daugher companies, or subsidiaries of the big global labels, because they also have a say in things and especially the local/regional music. Tens or maybe hundreds of those companies, on top of the big multinationals.
And on top of that are the national royalty collection organizations (like RIAA in the US & its equivalents elsewhere). Every country, it seems, has their own (or in the worst case several), which adds up to hundreds of organizations more with which you need to deal with.
And of course there are also the smaller labels + the independent publishers.
So, for Amazon or any online music retailer, there is no single place or single organization to come to terms with, but hundreds, if you want to start selling digital music.
Even if you want to just get the global catalogs of the big labels (Universal-BMG, Sony, Warner, EMI), you have to have the global contracts + contracts with their national subsidiaries + contracts the royalty organizations.
It will be a while before Amazon manages to get everything in place to start selling MP3's outside the US. It takes a lot of time and a small army of lawyers and sales people to get everything set up and agreed.
(And for selling it via mobile, and taking advantage of the different network operator billing mechanisms, there are are probably more than a 1000 different network operators, and even if you only take the major ones in every country, we're still talking about hundreds of operators. Another army of sales people and lawyers needed there. Of course, for payment stuff, there are payment "aggregators" that already have a lot of deals made, so you don't necessarily need to make a deal with every operator directly.)
So, setting up an online music shop is not the easiest thing in the world (the technical part is straight-forward, but the legal and commercial aspects are far from it).
