Nokia music update no longer carries mix radio fea...

Hello I am a little disturb after coming to realize that the recent update for the Nokia Music app does not consist the mix radio feature on my phone that was one my favourite things that I had liked about it including the option of having offline radio music available in your phone was just superb but now that I no longer have access to that it kills me. So can you please help me fix this issue.

Have you possibly bouhgt your phone abroad? What I'm thinking about is if there is some domestic laws there where you live that causes this? If that's not the case, maybe you should back up all your personal stuff from your phone and then reset it (settings-> about-> reset your phone).

Where's the Nokia Music update for FP2???

Hello,
Was this update pulled lately from pipeline? Because it's been a week since when I performed a clean update to FP2 on my 808 PV and the only over-the-air updates back then were Microsoft Apps and New Social; also only these two updates were offered via Nokia Suite.
No sign of Nokia Music and / or other minor updates at the time being.
What's wrong with the rest of the updates? My Nokia Music is useless right now (it won't open).

Nokia music: mix radio disappeared.

The Nokia music on my lumia920 no longer have options like "mix radio". It was there when I started the phone for the first time, but disappeared after a while. Now I only have "my music" and "settings". I reset the phone several times, but always got the same result. How can I get other options back?

Well, I have searched the internet and found out why. Nokia actually fixed something in Amber update that makes Nokia Music checks your country via the SIM card and thus if your country isn't listed amongst the few where Nokia Music services are available, the mix radio and other features disappear. It's strictly Nokia that implemented it to prevent people from outside regions/countries access to the services. Just remove your SIM card, uninstall Nokia Music and reinstall via WIFI (without SIM in phone) the services will be available once you set your region/country to any of those listed. But immediately you re insert your SIM, the MiX Radio and other features will disappear. No solution cos Nokia has done this intentionally, it's no bug.

Nokia Mix Radio not available

Living in Belgium, not so far from the Netherlands where I work quite often, I decided to buy a Nokia Lumia 800 since it wasn't available yet in Belgium. Big mistake as I soon found out that I couldn't update my phone (unless I created a completely new Netherlands based Zune account), but still don't have Mix Radio (don't know what it prevents now).
In a global world it is ridiculous that Microsoft still feels it should introduce terrestrial borderlines and even limit access to phone updates and functionality (they even don't allow me to spend money in the Markteplace).

The strange thing is that I can sign in, have a Nokia account but the Mix Radio options just don't show up ? I also read initially that Mix Radio doesn't require an account whatsoever, so how does it decide to show the option or not ? Even more strange is that other people in Belgium say they've no problem at all ?
If Nokia is not able to provide Mix Radio... what is the added value of this Lumia... in that case I better buy a cheaper competitors product !

from checking the app myself, yes there is. simply go into My Music (which sources the music you have on your device), and scroll over to Playlists. you can also do the same for music from Nokia Music thru creating your own Mixes both online and offline.

Nokia Music / MIX Radio Bugs and BUGS at Care Cent...

I am feeling absilutely dejected to have bought a Lumia 820.
It has been a year and over but still Nokia has not been able to provide solutions to generic and chronic problems. I have been asking for solution to the music problem since a year but no answer but today at last when i visited nokia care centre (Bohra Communications, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad) IT WAS A COMPLETE LET DOWN ! The guy who received me was a total Noob and illitrate and also all engineers (They didnt even know Amber, Black and whether it can be rolled back or not One guy asked another "Boss can we have Amber in 820 after Reset?. They just did not know anything. I am proud that I have more knowledge about updates and firmwares of my handsets.
My chronic problem was MUSIC ( Duplicating/ Dissappearing / Showing errors etc etc)
My music (downloaded from Nokia music only gets lost, shows errors and moves to other storage folder. I had "Lumia Black" updated OTA.
I bought this lumia for the free music subscription for a year and the person at the service centre said it is wrong. Whatever, but he said that the issue was with subscription. He did not understand that errors "c00d36c4" "player error" etc are not because of subscription but are bugs .....
My phone has been reset (hard reset) for more than 5 times in past month and thats what i do all day. NOKIA IS GREAT !! However just an hour back the Bohra communication care centre again did the same. What the HECK is happening ?
FORGET GETTING SOLUTION, PEOPLE DO NOT EVEN LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND.

I am constantly getting the problem you talk about in your second para. I don't experience it if I'm playing Nokia's own Offline selections, but it has been happening constantly over the past few weeks if I use the Create A Mix selections that I have downloaded for offline listening.
Recently both the Offline Mixes and Create A Mix selections reduced themselves suddenly to four or five tracks only in each Mix! Like you, I had to delete everything and download all again. Chews up my data allowance.
Nokia's offline mixes don't appear to download using a free WiFi connection - is that normal? I really have to watch my data allowance. Offline mixes will now expire after 10 days it seems.
Altogether Nokia Mix Radio appears to be full of bugs. I hope their software people are reading...

Nokia Music: Mix Radio, Store, Gigs options disapp...

I have been using Nokia Music on Lumia 710 without an issue until today when I launched it and options for mix radio, store & gigs disappeared. I uninstalled the app and re-downloaded it.
On launching it, all options became available but disappeared again after a few seconds. Any subsequent launch without re-downloading doesn't show the options. Only my Music & Settings appear.
What could be the issue? Am running Nokia Music vs 3.1.0.0 on OS Version 7.10.8773.98; Firmware 1600.3031.8773.12121.
Any assistance will be appreciated.

iTunes Radio is currently only available in the US and Australia.
Is iTunes Radio here:
Open the Music App > More
If so, you can add it back to the Music app dock by tapping Edit (top right) and drag the radio icon to the dock at the bottom.

Mix Radio unable to continue to play music in slee...

I am using Nokia Lumia 2520 Tablet. I am having an issue with Nokia MixRadio. Mix Radio app is unable to play the songs in sleep mode. I started to playing a mix in the app, It play till the tablet goes to sleep. As soon as the tablet goes to sleep mode, Tablet play to the end of current song and stops. It doesn't continue playing the next song. To test this furthur I compared it to the Xbox music application. This is what I did
To test this behaviour I used local music files stored in the tablet. As both the applications are capable of playing local music I used this method.
In Xbox Music app I set the songs play setting to "Repeat On" and the tablet is set to go to sleep in 4 mins. I started playing the local songs in Xbox Music app. The music didn't stop after the tablet is in sleep mode. Just to be sure I left it to play for another hour. It played the music with no problem.
Next I tried this with Nokia Mix Radio. The settings are set as same. The songs play setting is set to "Repeat On" and the tablet is set to go to sleep in 4 mins. I started playing the local songs in Nokia Mix Radio. The music started playing. Once the tablet got into sleep mode it played to the end of the current playing song and stopped. It didn't play the next song in the list. To be sure I tried it again. The behaviour is same. Nokia Mix Radio is unable to play the songs in Sleep mode or the music stops as soon as the tablet goes to sleep.
I hope this can be fixed in upcoming update to Nokia Mix Radio.

Welcome to the forum!
After reinstalling the MixRadio app, did you enable the permission to let it run in the background as advised by @mobiledatageeek and michaels? In case you missed it, try going to the MixRadio' settings > Permissions > select Alllow the app to run under the lockscreen. Also, check if the same issue happens with the Xbox Music app and other music players.
It's also best to keep the tablet's SW updated to ensure that the latest version of MixRadio app will work properly on your Lumia 2520. Check this link: Software Update for Nokia Lumia tablet with Windows RT.

A bit late for this advice now, but hopefully you'll know what to do next time.
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

Can someone please clear few of my doubt regarding using nokia mixradio.
First of this is when Nokia write statement like this
"Listen to Nokia MixRadio – unlimited FREE music mixes to play now or download for later."

What does it mean ?
As per my understanding I can play at least mixes without having a subscription plan. Is it correct ?
In no than its too bad to advertise like that, but as always customer won't be able to anything about it other than regrating buying Mobile from Nokia.
Now comes the few more doubt. If I plan to buy the MixRadio+ subscription plan than,
Will I be allowed to have only offline mixes or more at a time?
Will streaming available in HD quality also or only SD quality ?
I am fan of Mix Radio and even willing to buy subscription but only if these two restriction ( limited offline mixes and poor sd quality audio) are not there.

Provided that you are in India, the link refers to the Nokia Music Unlimited service. This is a music service which allows the user to download unlimited music files from the Nokia Music Store within a specific period of time (3, 6, and 12 months). To avail this, your phone must have the supported variant (India & China only) and the user is using the service within the supported territory/country.
The other Nokia Music service is Nokia MixRadio+ which supports the following feature:
- Skip an unlimited number of tracks while listening to mixes

Mix radio is available in India. May we know if you are using a local SIM card? If yes, you may try to re-insert the SIM card and then check it again. Does your Nokia account's country/region set in India? To verify this, log in to your account through this link:
https://account.nokia.com/
Please make sure that the phone's country/region is set in India as well. If it's different, try to change it and then reboot your phone.

Nokia Music Player update

Well, unlike a lot of people I succeeded to update the Nokia Ovi Player to Nokia Music Player. The thing is, it's not running anymore. After the update I can't run it. It keeps saying that "The NokiaMusicPlayer.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". So, any thoughts? Thanks

Guys, your help is no longer necessary. All of a sudden (after rebooting my PC several times), the system ran a "Multimedia Common..." (or something like that), and after that the Nokia Music Player worked. Important thing: it happened after I go to the Nokia Music Store website. Coincidence or not...good luck!
