NOKIA N770 Network Search Problem

Hello, I have a questions I bought Nokia N770 and when I do a search for available network in my appartment. It finds available Networks only in my master-bedroom, very rarely in small bedroom and Living-room. They are all on the same level... even in some parts of Master-Bedroom it finds connections. I am just wondering why is that like that there are 30+ available networks including mine... But In Living room and small-Bedrom it will not find anything not even 1 available network ... " No Connections Available" -- messege that I get. Sometime it will find alot Network connections like 20 connection and in 5-10 secounds it will do a search refresh and these 20 avaialble networks might and might not dissaper from the list and it will say " No Connections Available"... Is there something Wrong with my Noaki 770, But Im positive that it finds good connections in Master-Bedroom and outside .... But very hard to find in my other rooms around the appartment????
Oh by the way is it ok if my Nokia N770 does Network Search refresh every 5-10 secounds after I do a first search. and it keeps going like that until I find my right connections...

i neither use a nokia n96 phone but i dnt have much contacts in my phone apparently i dont have that kind of problem in my device im pretty sure its due to ur contact list is been exceeded.... you can check it buy deleting some of ur contacts from ur device to be used.... btw which region r u belong to? Eg: asain/europe?

Nokia 6103 network search problem.

My Nokia 6103, code 0533562, ver. v04.61, 08-02-06 RM-161 suddenly stopped finding network may 12 with it's present SIM card. Existing SIM card works in all other mobile phones and my Nokia 6103 works with all other SIM cards except the present one. The phone intermittently informs "Check information services". The mobile operator says it must be the need for an update of the phone software that is needed, according to the Nokia update search no such update is available for this model. Anybody else experience this problem and have some clues to it's solution?

Nokia lumia 510 wifi network searching problem

Recently I have got Nokia lumia 510......nice phone......but it fails to search any WiFi network......somtimes shows notifications at top of the display but doesn't wrk at ol..........So what to do.........help help

Nokia 5800 contacts search problem after phone swi...

Recently bought a new 5800. Used Phone Switch to retrieve contacts from older Nokia, seemed to work ok.
The problem is that ALL NEW contacts added to 5800 memory appear BELOW the contacts list (not sorted) AND cannot be found via contact search. This is very annoying. How can this be fixed?

It sometimes does this.
Unlock the phone, go into the messaging and come back out again.
The "new message" notification should stop now.

Nokia 2730 Contact search problem

Nokia 2730, having trouble searching for contacts, it will only let me search by their first name, anything else is irrelivant.
ie; if I have a contact called 'Bob Smith' and I search for 'Smith' it will not show up.
I think I need this function as I am constantly sending group for organising sporting teams.
I believe I have the lastest software in the phone, brand new out of the box I used Nokia Ovi Suite to try and update it, it said there were no updates available.

In case of S40 phones.. under Contacts settings-->Name display..If 'Last Name First' is selected..then the search is on LAST NAME..but yes, with a corresponding setting it will either search on First Name or Last Name at one time and not have the search functionality of an S60..
@wigwam - Can you explain your problem a bit more ? What comes up when you type 'M' ?..and is it a One Off issue or happens with search for any other contact (e.g. you have a contact called Jimmy and when you type 'J' it doesn't bring his name up)?

My telephone is automatic searching for network every 5minutes. I am missing alot of calls by this.
does some one know what this is and a selution ?

Thanks, but it is now three months without a solution, and I have stopped paying Vodafone. They have graciously offered a rebate of one month´s internet charges, rather less than the time it took them to even start offering solutions and not allowing anything forthe time and expense of me taking the computer into their shops at their request, only for them not to bother talking to me. or the other hours spent hanging on while they waited to put the phone down on me (about 20 times). They also are not sending bills. Apparently they are sending messages to my vodafone e mail address, but since that stopped working months ago, that isn´t getting us anywhere either.
I hope things go ok with you. As for me I am exploring the possibility of unlocking the modem and going to Orange or Movistar

Nokia 701 Contact Search Problem

I recently formatted my Nokia 701 using code *#0000#
Now when I search for a contact in the search list, it uses the regular keypad (as used during message typing) Instead of the alphabetic keys..

To turn the keypad into qwerty keypad, follow these steps:
Go to Settings>Phone>Language>Writing Language>tap on the language that has a check mark on it (example: English)>Input style for portrait>Qwerty

Network range problem

network search capacity....Not able to gets network in area where other phone like micomax i phone 4,5,5s show good network....call is also having problems ....while other phone don't have any problem ...i felling as m runed by nokia because of this deficiency in Lumia 925.....not able to call properly because of this Lumia 925....other phone quite good.....why nokia and window do this cheating with me.....

Hi, vikramsaini2006. What troubleshooting steps have you tried? Aside from rebooting, you can update your system apps, especially Network+:

Nokia N96 RM247 WLAN PROBLEM

Hy people.Please help me i have problem with my third N96 and all with Home WLAN.I have also N95 8GB and she work great with my WLAN but N96 freeze on WLAN SEARCHING?!!!After start from WLAN ASISTENT my N96 freeze and restart the phone?!This is my third N96 and always i have bougt only original Nokia product and same problem with all of this three phones.I have updated my N96 via NSU from 11.011 to 12.043 and it is same problem.My wlan is with wpa security and i don't understand how work same wlan great on my N95 8GB but doest want to work with my N96?I thougt that first N96 who i have bought not OK is but it is same problem with second and now with third?!PLEASE HELP !

I must say (have n79 for 3 month) I have sometimes allso strangs behaviour with the Wlan. yesterday he tried to log on to HPSETUP wlan netwerk every second. I drove even to different place's by car. I found out because the baterie was down after 18 ours. and looking up in the logbook I found out. I made connection with an wlan network in the air at my new location (150 km south) and search on the web. Switch again to stop seaching wlan netwerk and he went now trying to connect to te last netwerk I made connection with. Then I put it in to offline mode and he was quiet. the next morning at work I started charching the batery and went too normal mode (did not restart). He did not want to connect to any wlan any more (as it should be). very strang. know he is just fine now.
Soo more things are weird.

Nokia E72 Memory (RAM) Problem

Hi everyone,
I recently installed Opera Mobile 12 in my phone and have been facing RAM problems a lot lately.... After I surf the internet for sometime, i frequently get the messege showing ''Memory Full: Please Close Some Applications and Try Again''... Its not that I faced this in earlier versions of Opera Mobile but it was less frequent and multitasking was easily possible.... Now, other programs (like whatsapp, mobipocket reader, music player etc) cannot be run along with the browser and most of the time I minimize the browser, it exits and often, it exits while i'm still browsing.... Sometimes, when I get the memory full error, my theme disappears and the default theme of my phone loads up instead.... Can I work a way around this problem?? According to my mobile guard, the Opera eats away around 30-35 MB of RAM... When i boot up, I have around 45 MB of RAM available.... Can I increase my free memory so that I can browse, chat and listen to music side by side with none of the processes getting automatically killed?? I've tried workarounds such as the ''KillMe'' app to close unnecessary processes and although it frees some RAM, the problem still persists... Please help...

You can Zoom, Rotate a Picture but E63 never allows to Save the edited Picture, Worst SOftware Engeering.
-- No Calendar Sync with Address Book Events
Add a Birday/Annivesary event along to a contact, you will never see the event entered to Calendar/neither gets a remainder alarm on that occassion.
Very Sad to say Nokia has very less knowledged engineers who are not even capable of giving a software which Rs 500 mobile gives with colors.
-- Memory Card COrrupted and needs a restart of MObile to recongise the Mem Card
3 to 4 times a day and every time when you switch off and switch on You need to re-insert the memory card(which is supplied along with MObile by Nokia)
-- Picture Viewer
Awesome, you cannot open pics with folder wise,
Open a Pic from folder, delete the that pic, you will be routed back to Home screen instead of folder.
What a Testing Engineered SOftware.
and after encryting memopry card, and after decrypting i am not able to see pics on pic viewers.
but can access to files directly going to Mem card folders.
ENcrypt and decrypt are juts for name sake, not for functioning and serving the need.

1. Just Say i received a message from Number 123456789, now go and save 123456789 as Balaji in Contact.
Now get back to your Inbox, Surprise, you never see 123456789 updated with COntact Name Balaji, it will stay as 123456789 only, even give a try of Swithc off and Switch on 100 times, its same.
its new nokia software getting back to 1950s.
2. Now, one more test:
   You have already saved a friend number 12345 as Balaji in contacts.
   you get a SMS from 12345, well the inbox now promptly shows message from Balaji, now go back to Contacts, and change the number 12345 to any number,
   so now Contact Balaji's number is changed but you will never see this reflected in inbox.
   you will be still shown as message from Balaji, though that number is not at all saved.
One more roboustness testing:
You delete the contact Balaji, still you see in Inbox SMS from Balaji.

Even with dedicated Wirelss internet connection, E63 just detects the connection but when started browsing, i just get5 this.

you give a try for 1000 times you wont get internet brrowsing in E63,
i get heavy headache if i start thinking why i paid RS12000/- for Junk.
if i meet any of NOkia people at my office i will kick to them for sure.
Nokia should be Sued.
if i keep on digging the non-sense behavior of Nokia E63 i dont know, instead i can write a pretty good software.

this is cheating All indian Customers, Taking RS 12000/- and not even providing a sofwtare which a RS 1000/- gives.

Nokia E63 has a name sake encryption and decryption. Once you encrypt and decrypt it is difficult to find any of your old saved files. Paradox is that the memory status will show a huge quantity of used space. But GOD only knows where the files are. Nokia support centres have no answer for this problem. I lost a large chunk of my pics n files. Shame of Nokia.

Thank you both for your responses but my daughter was reassured by the salesman in the iStyle store (official Apple store in the UAE) that iMessages would work but conceded that FaceTime wouldn't. My iTunes account is registered in the uk and my daughter's iPhone has iMessages even though she bought it (and uses it) in Dubai. Can anyone else throw any light on this?

Nokia N8 installing driver problem !! HELP ME !!!!

Hi guys, i recently bought a Nokia N8.
i've install Nokia Ovi Suit from folder that exist in my phone, it's completely install ovi suit and download Nokia N8's USB driver from internet and stores it in "C:\Program Files\Nokia\Connectivity Cable Driver".
when i connect the phone in Nokia Ovi Suit Mode via USB, windows can found it, but cannot install its drivers !!!
Windows says that: "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it." (i use Windows Vista 32-bit, see below attachment)
what can i do ??!!! plzzzzz help me i need too run Ovi Suit !!!

I am having the exact same issue.
The Ovi store was installed first via the N8 built in software, then uninstalled and reinstalled using the latest Ovi version from Nokia's webinstaller download, but still no success with the Ovi connection.
The other file transfer modes work fine 'media transfer & 'mass storage' but the Ovi store is still unable to run due to Windows VISTA not being able to locate the drivers for the N8 software. (despite being installed!)
After accepting the prompt for Windows to locate the drivers... The same error as RayMond_021 screen shot appears.
"COMPUTER SAYS.... NO!"
Super frustrating! A brand new $800 phone and I can't even access the promised software (Ovi maps) that encouraged me to buy it!?
PLEASE HELP US!!!!!

How does turning off "Cell Network Search" affect "Find My iPhone"?

I have turned Cell Network Search off in an effort to reduce battery drain under iOS 7.1. Does this in any way affect Find My iPhone?
I have Location Services on for Find My iPhone. I turn Background App Refresh off when I'm at home and on when I'm out; I believe this doesn't affect Find My iPhone.
I'd be interested in Apple's official description (which I wasn't able to locate) as well as any personal experiences.

You can find out the answer yourself.
Log into icloud.com and use the find my iphone feature and see what it says.
BTW there is no Apple in this forum, just apple device users like you and I.

Nokia 5610 XpressMusic Startup Problem..

Hi, I have Nokia 5610 XM startup problem with memory card.. (I tried with 3 different micro SD card also)

If I remove the memory card, then it starts succefully.. And if I plug in back memory card, then phone restarts in 2hours or in calling time... sorry about my English..

it sounds like it could be the memory card connectors or something like that if you say that it works fine without the card in, you might want to take it to nokia care point for them to have a look at this issue.
